ODEON Luxe Leeds Thorpe Park in Leeds

The cinema is good, the staff are friendly, the prices are absolutely ridiculous, the glass is always filthy, the entrance always seems grubby, but my biggest gripe is the advertising of some events & limitless membership, my wife & I have just been to see Six, we already pay £40 a month, then we've just been charged a further £42.50 to see this show, billed as a live event? Well, it's not, it's a recording of a live event, its no different to any other film, ww got more enjoyment out of the Luther Vandross film, again something we had to pay for, but a fraction of the cost. When we enquired before going in, & just because the stage show had just started doing the tour again, the explanation was, " it's because it's a live event, fair then to assume it's something to do with the new tour?? Nope, it's not, it's a rip-off! is what it is, & whilst a good show, certainly not worth £42.50 to see a show, just like any other show or film just because it's popular, it's no wonder cinemas are failing if this is their policy.

UPDATE: IVE SPOKEN TO A VERY KIND MAN CALLED NATHAN WHOS EXPLAINED THE SITUATION AND REFUNDED ME, I WILL DEFINITELY BE RETURNING. THANKS we booked for snow white which starts at 2:00, it didnt start until 2:25 and people was making lots of noise due to the film being late. at 2:25 ONLY THEN the trailers began. half way through the lights turned on mid movie. and after 10 mins one half of the lights turned off, then 15 mins the other half turned off. we spent £40 on slushies- and alot more on the movie and didn’t expect this service for the price you pay- i have photos for all this. as you can see mid film the lights was on.

Enjoyable though the seats are not as comfy as the look.

Great cinema. The chairs are amazing and feel luxurious. The food is good and the nachos are certainly better than Cineworld. The biggest downside is the price, though it would be more feasible if we got membership.

Comfortable seats and clean. No queues. Only comment would be on entering the screen 5 before the movie started it was far too dark to see where seats were and even the walkways were in the dark. Everyone was having to use phone torches.

If you like to watch movies at night, this is the palce you are looking for. Easy parking as well and good good as well.

I enjoy visiting here. The toilets have gotten cleaner thankfully, and the choice of films are good. The only thing I would say is that their food options are expensive and the membership doesn't give you many rewards.

Great cinema, lots of room, there aren't masses of seats, so there's a certain cosiness, I'm not great in crowds so I appreciate it. The limitless pass is fantastic, it encourages you to see films you might otherwise wait for streaming

I love this place, friendly staff, comfortable and clean theater the only issue I would say is the toilets let the place down, either blocked, no loo roll, hard to flush ( push buttons are stiff) dryers dirty or doors not locking.

I can not believe how dirty these toilets are EVERY TIME I come to this cinema it’s disgusting honestly! Always one out of use but this time 2! No toilet roll, floor disgusting looks like hasn’t been moped for months ! Toilet rim all dirty you can see it’s dirt gathered from over time !

I recently visited the Odeon cinema to catch the double bill of "Mufasa: The Lion King". From the moment I stepped inside, I was impressed by the cleanliness, luxury, and opulence of the cinema. The food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. I want to give a special thanks to Chase who served us at the counter, and to area manager James and cinema manager Luke for their kindness and hospitality. Overall, it was a truly positive experience. I highly recommend this cinema to anyone looking for a fantastic film outing. This Odean is 1000% better than Bradford! Thank you

We like it at this cinema. The recliner chairs make it a comfortable experience. My 4 year old loves coming. We recently came to watch sonic and he watched the full film. The only downside was the food cost for the quality but otherwise a pleasant visit.

It's a great place, sits nicely in a busy shopping centre estate, free parking, clean cinema areas and many screens. Can be pricey if you have big family and food/drinks etc. Situated on 1st floor, with access via escalator, stairs or lift. Friendly staff and large area in foyer if you need to wait/ meet anyone. Food ok but pricey! Toilets are clean and easy to access. Screens are large and sound quality excellent, some screens are also sensory experiences which adds to the experience..all in all well worth a visit. Thank you

Visited for a Christmas U rated showing of The Gruffalo. Unfortunately they decided to play incredibly loud adverts with PG rated film trailers, which scared most the children in the audience - I witnessed two families have to leave before the Gruffalo started because they were so scared. Once the film started they dropped the volume but a bit too late unfortunately. Other cinemas I’ve been to have had slight low dim lights for U films or toddler showings but it was completely black dark. In the end my toddler did enjoy the actual film itself.

We have been coming to the Odeon in Leeds on Xmas Eve for the last few years and have really enjoyed it. This year, there’s only a couple of films to choose from which are all kids films. With two teenage boys, these are not ideal films. Not sure why this year there’s hardly a good selection? Very disappointing to say the least.

We (my friend and I were in a tiny little theatre, and only about a dozen people in there in total, but still had the fancy reclining seats, with enough room for people to get past even if you've got your feet up. Didn't try the food vending and the bar downstairs wasn't open, but that didn't matter, we didn't go there to drink!

Fantastic place, love going. I won't take the family to any other cinema.

I went to watch PUHPA expecting an immersive movie experience, but the sound quality was absolutely awful. The dialogue was so quiet I could barely hear what the characters were saying, while the music and effects were ear-piercingly loud and unbalanced. It felt like someone was randomly adjusting the volume throughout the movie.

I don't go to the cinema much and now I know why. Don't get me wrong, comfy seats, amazing picture and sound, coupled with the rudest staff/service imaginable and gents toilets that were both disgusting and dangerous.

New cinema with all the bells and whistles. Popcorn cooked onsite, Unlike smaller Odeons where it is shipped in.

Service at food counter was really poor and staff were rude. Toilets were disgusting, not clean at all. Watched wicked and the sound quality spoilt the show. No surround sound and the staff couldnt care less…

The Dolby Cinema theater is even better than the IMAX at Leeds whiterose. Much clearer and sharper as it uses 4K projectors. Seats are huge, very comfortable and have a small table. Great experience.

The cinema itself is great but 6 quid for a small bottle of Peroni is taking the Michael.

A top venue for watching films. Brilliant sound and picture quality. Comfortable chairs. Delicious nachos. Good temperature. I really enjoyed it! I can't wait for some more.... I'm going regularly and still enjoying myself. The staff do a great job clearing up the trails of popcorn people leave behind them. I must try the bar, I assume the prices will be ridiculous so I've never actually checked! Hmm, still not checked! Perhaps a big sign offering a promotion would work?

Asked if that was the smallest popcorn they sold and was told yes. Wasn't told we could buy a kids deal with a smaller popcorn + drink and chocolate.

£24 per person is an outrages price to charge. The sound was far too loud and distorted. It spoiled the enjoyment, so we won't be going there again. No way

Nice cinema with plenty of free parking available. As this is a relatively new cinema, the lobby area is good and we didn't experience any big queues. We went to screen 2 and this screen had the Dolby sound system which was great. Seats were big reclining seats with small aeroplane type tables at each seat. I recommend row H (15 & 16) for central view of screen. Overall great experience and will definitely come again.

Oden Luxe is pricey, but the experience with Dolby or iSense is incredible—definitely worth the money. The only reason I’m giving it 4/5 is because the popcorn was chewy and not fresh, and the reclining seat made noises when using the motor, almost like it was broken.

I went to see Alien Romulus specifically on screen 2 which is Dolby Vision certified. Honestly, a real disappointment. Apparently it uses duel 4K laser projectors for the Dolby Vision high dynamic range standard but I found the picture just normal, not getting anywhere near as bright as I had hoped for. In comparison the Xplus screen at Showcase was much brighter and sharper. Maybe Dolby Vision wasn’t enabled during the film I watched? Who knows. 🤷🏻‍♂️ The seating and overall cinema experience was excellent, not to mention the Dolby Atmos sound which was breathtaking.

Pick the best films for isense or Dolby screens and you won't be disappointed. Nice staff, drinks and snacks are fine, always seems clean and the seats are great but yeah, isense screens and sound are amazing. It's not that expensive when you really think about it either. If you're going more than once a month it might be better to pay for the exclusive membership.

We visited on a Monday at 5.30 during the school holidays to watch the Deadpool & Wolverine film. Due to it being a My odeon saver day we got a discount on our tickets. This still cost £12 each, so £24 for both of us, which I didn't mind paying as I had looked forward to watching this at the cinema for over a year. This was in the Dolby screen, which is huge and has a lot of seating. The seats are spacious and are recliner seats, and due to the positioning of the seating, you can't see anyone in front of you. Not that we needed to worry about that as it was quite empty. My partner decided he was hungry enough to pay the extortionate prices for a hotdog and tater tots. He said the hotdog was nothing special, a bit like a typical one from a supermarket jar, and for £7.59 he expected to have onions at least. The tater tots at £3.99 were luke warm and undercooked, so he went back to ask for them cooking a bit longer. She gave him some fresh ones which were much warmer. I think she gave him extra as an apology, which was nice. I tried one, but the texture isn't to my taste. My partner ate them all himself. I think they'd be nicer if there were some spices you could shake on them such as Peri Peri or salt and chilli, etc. There is a good-sized car park, but this can get very busy at peak times as the staff from the shopping centre seem to park there as well as the shoppers and the gym goers. The car park is free and has child and disabled parking. There is a lift to get up into the cinema and special seating if you need wheelchair access.

This has to be the best cinema I've visited. We watched the new Dead Pool movie, great movie. The cinema picture quality and sound is incredible , the seats are really comfy too. (Screen 2) was the screen we were in. Big imax

First time visiting and was impressed overall. Very clean EXCEPT for when I dropped an apple on the floor and rolled under the recliner - looking underneath it was filthy, lots of popcorn etc! Sort it out Odeon. Would return though.

Lovely place, shame about the parking. Be nice to have it a little closer. Was very hot last time we where in there also!

I come here a lot as I have the cinema pass so I'll start with the good. It's very easy to get to and the parking is free and easy. The Dolby screen is exceptional. The Atmos is set up here amazingly well, and the picture can not be faulted. The isense screen is nice but not as good as the Dolby, and the other screens are very standard. The bad is that it's very expensive if you don't have a pass, it was around £20 for an additional ticket in the Dolby screen for a film in its opening week! The pick and mix are very poor and expensive. The bag selection is also poor. They do not have much in the way of ice cream and as you might expect the other food options are very expensive.

Place is awesome! They do 3d and 2d film and the seats are very comfortable! I've been here 3 times and have never been disappointed, food available easily. Costa on the bottom floor is very nice.

Dolby cinema blows others out of the water followed closely.by I sense 😉, the staff are always friendly and each screen seating is clean on arrival I love the coke freestyle machine . It’s now my go to cinema never had a issue and it’s given us some really great movie experiences.

First experience & loved it! The place was immaculately clean, great facilities! The screens are humongous, crystal clear & sound quality amazing! Not to mention the comfy, reclining seats! First visit will definitely not be the last... an excellent big screen experience!! 😁

the manager has zero customer service skills and her colleagues looked terrified of her. she made a disabled child cry three times, she didn’t allow him in because he was two minutes late. adding to that, ive seen quite a bit of bad reviews about the manager… i hope she gets fired🤞🏽

The Manager is rude and obnoxious! Takes herself way too seriously. Didn’t let us in as we were 2 minutes late and also refused to provide a refund. Absolutely disgraceful way to treat loyal customers.

Very clean. Comfortable reclining seating. Great picture quality and the sound in the isense and Dolby screens is incredible. The only downside is that, like all cinema's, the snacks and drinks are so, so expensive.

Absolutely disgusting that as a new customer if you aren’t aware you need to register your vehicle’s number plate you will be charged an £85 fine. I would highly discourage people from attending this cinema due to the incompetence of the staff on the door not advising all customers to register they number plate

Definitely the more luxurious cinema from alot of other branches. The reclining sofas actually recline as far back as you like to be to enjoy your movie, everything is kept clean including the toilets which are usually broken and filthy in other odeons closeby. Staff are more friendly and just an overall better experience.

Very comfortable seat's but a bit expensive.

It's a 'good enough' multiplex cinema. Good for watching a film you want to see but utterly devoid of any atmosphere (and,depending on the time that you want to go, can be very expensive).

The location is very convenient. You can take the bus to the door. If you can drive your own car, there are many parking spaces. The seats in the theater are very comfortable. The staff are very polite and you can go and spend money.

A proper cinema treat, expensive unless you join limitless. Sometimes the best films don't hang around for long. Choose seats with care - smaller screens, go near the back. Frequent visitors... Buy the limitless card.

Don't go to cinema very often due to not wanting to leave our dog. This cinema is probably the best we have been to. Very comfortable and quiet.

Loved the cinema itself, lovely seats, warm cinema and plenty of choice in terms of films. Was a little disappointed by both the popcorn and the self service drinks. The popcorn was burnt and the drink from the drinks machine was not enjoyable. Did not complain however so the cinema did not have the opportunity to fix the problem. We didn't want to make a fuss what was a lovely family day despite the Snacks and drinks problem.

Fantastic cinema. Modern. Looks great. Self service ticketing from what I could tell that seemed to be the only option nobody selling them so you do need to use the touch screens and your bank card/contactless. Usual selections of sweets, popcorn, hotdogs etc. but didn’t purchase any. Unfortunately the price of a ticket these days put me off paying anything more. £19 for a ticket. The screen was huge, sound was great and there’s a lot of space, the seats are extremely comfortable. All big leather recliners where you can lay just about fully back, so very enjoyable.

Watched the new Aquaman film. For a no brainer movie it was pretty good. The cinema is extremely clean, modern and very large. My partner had a special offer for the VIP seats. They really are super comfortable and recline. You could fall asleep on them! Overall a great experience.

Although tickets are quite expensive, it is very comfortable with reclining seats and the sound/visual quality is very good. We went 1.30pm on a Saturday and had only ten people in the cinema which was nice! We'll be coming back :)
