As marvellous as always. You continue to serve with dedication and style. The enormous portions would make the most rotund wince with joy. Every mouthful moved me closer to battered euphoria.

Foods not good at tall... I take no joy in putting any business down. But this place isn't worth half the money they ask for there food 3 out of 10 and that's being generous

Ordered fish and chips and mushy peas. Haddock tasted terrible, the peas had so much water in. The chips were ok. Waste of money

We had our fish and chips delivered today plus we had chicken it was the best fish I have had for a long time I don't normally eat the batter on fish but did today it was really nice thanks

2nd time in a month i have had terrible chips from here. Undercooked and the scraps left in the server whilst others were being cooked. More than half of them were two small to consider as a chip and tasted awful. I have used this place for several years but unlikely to visit again as quality is very poor.

Asked for garlic sauce and it came with garlic mint sauce. Ring the store and they were very unhelpful, not willing to correct their mistake. Will not use again

Pie was hard crust like it’s been out for days saveloy had a bad taste and inside it was brown in colour kebab ask for cabbage but got cucumber

Everything was fine apart from the pie which was rock hard so it never got eaten.

I ordered chicken and chips. I phoned them and asked them not to give me drumsticks and they said that was fine. When my ordered arrived, they had given me 2 drumsticks. called them to notify and first time they cut me off and 2nd time, they just didn't care. waste of my money.

Completely got the sauce on both kebabs wrong, again and totally forgot the extra sauce we asked for & paid for, again. Becoming a lottery with the sauce now, never used to be a problem but can ruin the food if it is delivered with wrong sauce.

Great food as always. Just as good as flying to Austria on a giant butterfly. I remember doing that once. I had a load of hash cakes and woke up 4 days later in a weird place. I’d lost a shoe. I don’t think I was violated but if I was I blame to little goblin wizard with the baggy sleeve and solid wooden shaft. Was a lovely time. I flew back on an EasyJet plane. They served fish and chips but nothing compared to the delights I sampled this evening. Solid chefs and magnificent conductors of taste sensations. Peace and Love

Miserable almost cold, refried, cardboard-like chips.

Nice friendly happy service they sometimes have given me extra food they serve coca cola a kids menu have music playing on their TV and also tables to eat on yet not many tables about 3 or 4 of of them the burgers aren't the best though bit they would be 3 stars

Chips are always hard and full of black eyes. I weighed a£4 serving with a £5 serving and the weight was basically the same. I will no longer order from this chippy again.

Generous portions, friendly helpful staff and a welcoming atmosphere - easily the best fish and chip shop in hemel. Fresh food cooked quickly and for more than reasonable prices.

Not the best meal we have had from here. Unusually It was 30 minutes late & I think the dood might have been sitting around waiting for the delivery driver. Still nice though

Disgusting customer service !!! Ordered food and my son’s food was missing . Refused to drop off told me to pick up when I have no transport .

The food was fantastic as always but not for the first time they didn’t put my sauces on the kebab & forget to send some of the extra sauces that I paid for which wasn’t great.

Very small fish chips were just scraps of poor quality struggled to find 3 or 4 actual chips. either dark or skin on them. many of them were green .would not buy chips from here again. .

90% of my chips had black or green spots on. Fish wasn’t crispy. Just a greasy mess. My fried chicken was slightly acceptable. How anyone goes there week in week out, or calls it there local is bonkers…..

No delay in ordering and short wait for the food to be cooked. Cost was reasonable.

Very disappointed with this fish and chip shop now. It has slowly been going downhill. Have been using it for a few years as local to me. I won't have fish any more as is tasteless and batter too hard. The pie I had tasted awful so decided this time I would try a 2 piece chicken meal. The meat on the chicken was dark and quite frankly tasted awful. Half of the chips were black and hard and ended throwing them away. Such a shame as used to be good. It's going to be hard finding another fish shop as this one is so handy after I finish work

I can't believe how utterly dreadful my experience was at Ocean Fish Bar. Waiting over 15 agonizing minutes while witnessing others who arrived later getting served first, all while the chef obliviously assured me with a fake two-minute promise, made my blood boil. And then, the pièce de résistance: a fish so disappointingly pathetic, the batter resembled a soggy mess, and the flavorless, gray meat practically slithered off the plate. To add insult to injury, the portion size for the exorbitant £8 left me feeling not just dissatisfied, but outright robbed. This abysmal encounter may have irreversibly soured me on fish and chips in this town.

My recent visit to Apsley Ocean Fish Bar left me utterly dismayed. Despite patiently waiting for over 15 minutes, it was infuriating to witness those who arrived later being served ahead of me, all while the seemingly oblivious chef nonchalantly insisted on a mythical two-minute wait. The pinnacle of disappointment was reached when I laid eyes on the sorry excuse for fish on my plate—its batter was a lamentable, soggy affair, and the lackluster, piece of so called fish meat slithered away at the slightest touch. Adding insult to injury, the portion size for the hefty £8 price tag was nothing short of disgraceful. This experience not only left me unsatisfied but also contemplating whether it was my last attempt at enjoying fish and chips in this town. The only thing that could have slightly improved my meal would be if I managed to take a photo of it to warn people away from this shambles of a fish bar. I will never ever ever step foot in that sorry excuse of chippy. Disgusted.

Lovely freshly cooked Large Cod and chips plus a quarter pounder for my son again freshly cooked, very nice indeed.

The food was piping hot but too many chips. Driver very pleasant. Will use again.

Not their best night. Food was only warm & this could be down to the delivery being over half an hour late. Normally really good so this won’t put me off but not a good night.

Bit hit and miss, had chips last week from here they were very hot and nice and fresh. Tonight's were a different story, dry, hard and barely warm did not taste freshly cooked.

Fantastic food. The quality is faultless. The portions are very satisfying. It's a great fish and chip shop. The best, in my opinion.

I ordered x3 cod and chip's and a battered sausage. I received my order but one piece of cod was just a slither of batter with hardly any fish inside. I called ocean fish, terrible customer service refused to replace the cod

Excellent food, delivered before time and piping hot

£9 for m cod and £10 L cod we couldn't tell the difference! We've notice the price is going up and fish is getting smaller,we also had large chips the bill with delivery and service charge was £27.48. Maybe we will look elsewhere next time.

Chips were nice and hot but pie and pastie were lukewarm. Pastie was not nice. Mostly hard dry pastry! Sorry guys, not your usual standard today.

dont wasted your money ordered my partner a saveloy and quarter with cheese they burned the bun and the saveloy was rock hard one side i wish they would learn to cook as they are selling food to the public

Mixed kebab alot of money for what it was. Doner didn't taste of anything. Lamb was nice chicken was chewy and bland. Chips had been reheated a couple of times and were not fresh. Came due to the close location and 3.9 rating. Must be old ratings as the food was not upto 4/5 standard shame as the guys were really friendly.

Lovely food. Too much. Had to throw some away especially chips. Not complaining but maybe if it was smaller portions the price could be less.

The worst food I have ever had, for some reason they smothered my chips in some mint / garlic sauce it was very over powering. There was more sauce than food. The food was cold even though we went there in our lunch break to get it and eat in our car so not really sure how it’s cold when no delivery time needed. In my option it’s very over priced and very poor quality. Will not return

WORST FOOD EVER 🤢 it tasted disgusting and was freezing cold & covered in sauce & off cheese. The pitta was so soggy due to the excessive amount of sauce it had to go in the bin. Never had such a bad takeaway in all my life I would not recommend unless you want baby food mashed up with a bit of toothpaste on top. Do not come here!

As a regular, I do get on with all the guys that work there. The food is fantastic. My favourite is the cheesy chips. Burgers are on point. Chicken is perfect. Great value for money too. Everything I have tried I recommend as these guys know what they're doing. This is my go-to take away and delivery. They are on UBER EATS & JUST EAT. Maybe other platforms too

I received someone else’s order. When I phoned about this the man I spoke to was very rude and unhelpful and started shouting at me in his own language.

Chips are good . Kebabs are OK had better but definitely taste good.iv ordered the mega burger 3 times now. First time it was 3 patty's in a dry bun which i was very annoyed about. 2nd time made it know and made very specific requests to get a piece of cheese with each burger and some salad a sauce with it. Third time was 3 pattys in a dry bun again. After making the same specific requests over a phone order .To be called a mega burger I expect more than what they will give you .unless you are there supervising it. OK for a kebab chips

This is unacceptable, 3rd time this is happening to me, I check on google if they are open, i see they are, yet when i get there its closed. Update your working hours, you made me waste fuel on several ocassions. Doner is good and thats why i come back, however chicken smells of fish.

Staff is very lovely, the menu is quite cheap and filled with the basic of a ocean fish bar Etc. Kebabs fish n chips Fries chicken and more. Very clean bar couldn't ask for a better chippy next to my house 5🌟🥇

I bought £ 45 and the delivery driver brought to me 3 piece chicken select and one mine chicken popcorn one mine fries and I ask just eat to refund I haven’t got my refund yet so I’m going to delete my just eat account and never going to order from just eat anymore

Very quick service cash only thought was great chips were nice what you would expect the two sveloys we bought were brown inside my wife's not feeling well and the dog has the runs after I gave him one wish I didn't to be fair the battered sausage almost broke my teeth the chips were a plus but everything else awful Please respond

Having had a busy day and very tired, we ordered from here. The food is always delicious. We have never had a bad meal. Portions are kore than generous. We will definitely order again.

Casual lunch date with a couple of these legends, accompanied with some kebab meat & chips...made for a relaxing Sunday afternoon.

I thought I would give this place a try on passing by. The portion size was pretty fair but the fish was greasy and all of it had the taste that it had been cooked in old oil. Its unlikely I would try again.
