Ocean fish platter/Kesgrave in Suffolk Coastal

This has to be one of the best Fish and Chip shops in the area. Coming from the midlands where fish and chips can be part of a stable diet, I have always been disappointed in Suffolk with the quality and especially the quantity of the serving from many chips shops here. However this chip shop gives me both a tasty meal and deliveres a good portion. The young lady behind the counter is brilliant at holding a busy restrurant together, always polite to the staff and instructions are clear with a thank you. The meal it's self is not greasy, nicely cooked and presented.

We sat in a spotlessly clean restaurant and had sausage and chips. Lovely to have a pot of tea with mine. Good menu of hot drinks as well as the usual. Chips left absolutely no grease on our plates and the quality of the sausages was excellent. Lovely, efficient staff. Will definitely use it again

Outstanding food. The best chips I have ever tasted. The waitress and waiters were really friendly and very attentive. Lovely atmosphere. My whole family loved it. It will however be a special treat to go as it’s quite expensive.

Best fish and chip shop I have been to. Everything is cooked fresh, nothing has been sitting in the cabinets like you see in a lot of fish and chip shops as they cook it to order. Chips are so crispy and nice. You can tell that the fish is fresh. The staff are friendly and I will be back

First time visiting this place for take-away fish and chips. It wasn't at all busy, yet we waited almost 20 minutes for our order. Sadly the food was very disappointing. There was a strange taste about it... perhaps it was the cooking oil. Even our teenagers who love chips barely touched them. And my son who loves fish, left half of it and said it tasted funny. My fish was also undercooked. £30 for a rare lunchtime treat, most of which went in the bin.
