been waiting about 3 hours after i put down the order and absolutely nothing, called up multiple times it kept ringing out, so i went to the receipt email and called that number, but the guy who picked up had no idea what i was talking about. CLEARLY A SCAM. do not waste your money, absolutely shocking x

We had the most delicious curries we've ever tasted over new-year. Everything was so tasty and we will be returning.

Food is great delivery is slow order about 1 hour before you need it

Ordered in store tonight, This place is under new management, so I gave it a go. I travel for work. Food was great!....nice calzone! Give it a go, you won't be disappointed. 👍

Staying at benderloch & struggling for something for tea, went online to look for pizza delivery & chose the Grill house. Ordered two 10inch veggie pizzas & very nice indeed. Excellent friendly delivery driver. Would definitely recommend.

Placed a small order 5 hours ago and it’s still not here despite getting told it would only take an hour and 15 minutes. The place is now closed so I assume we’re not getting our order.

Getting every single order wrong recently

Absolutely horrendous, order hadn't arrived after 1hr 20 when given 50 minute waiting time. Called shop, they had no record of order and no idea how to issue refund. Theytheb called back saying they had order and would be there in 10 minutes. Driver then got lost and had to phone again (not difficult address). When order arrived curly fries were missing and food had clearly been sitting for a long time and reheated, not a good experience.

This is an awful takeaway, when we ordered 3 pizza for delivery - the website looks quite swish-so didn't think there would be problems, how wrong that was!! We called after an hour to ask if the pizza was going to be delivered, they gave us some story about not being able to find us - we gave them the postcode again and referred them to the booking form with a map showing where we were. After another 30 minutes we called them again and they said thier driver was out driving around trying to find us - we were about 5 mins drive from them and on a main road. After another 30 mins we called them again to cancel the order - as we didn't want a 2hour old pizza-they then said no it was only cooked 10 mins ago!!!! We then said forget it and refund us, they said that could not be done and if we wanted a refund we would have to visit the shop the following day. We felt uncomfortable and even cancelled our debit card!! Next day we went to get the refund - seeing the takeaway in the flesh it's not the kind of place we would ever go near - quite run down and dirty. We went in and after speaking to 3 people we were given a cash refund, they offered us drinks but we didn't take them. In short DON'T USE

Don't bother ordering for delivery. 2.5 hrs, not even the decency to phone, sent the food back as the oven food was done instead....... Head the warning.

Food was good. HOWEVER, we waited 45 minutes only to get the wrong order. Extreme amount of missing food but we were too far to go back to get it. Seriously taking the mick. Beware.

This place has disapointed me now the last twice i have ordered food online using there website only for the food not to be ready at the time stated to make matters worse the last visit they had not even started my order. The food is good but service is very poor

I am one of the biggest pizza lovers and across Scotland this is one of the best pizzas I have ever had - I went back each night I was in Oban it was so delicious!

Pedimos comida para llevar para la entrega, que llegó 1 hora y 20 minutos más tarde. 20 minutos tarde. ¡Faltaba la mitad del pedido! Tuvimos que ir a la comida para llevar ya que no contestaban los teléfonos. Qué tipo de derrotó el propósito de la entrega. También había otros 2 clientes con pedidos incorrectos. Para ser justos, hicieron un pedido completamente nuevo para nosotros y la comida estaba buena cuando finalmente nos sentamos a comer.

Very nice friendly staff, very clean and the food was excellent

They are the best pizzas in town, and the kebab meat is better than anywhere else in this area. Staff are friendly and service is fast

it is quite nice i like the kebabs and the pizza, it is not as nice looking as kebabish but it is cheaper

Soy un local y, en general, este no es el lugar al que va la gente, van al kebabish, que es simplemente en tipo de comida, pero tiene millas de calidad. Decidí usar este lugar porque no me sentía demasiado bien y no quería salir de la casa, y este lugar es el más cercano a mi hogar. Hice el pedido a las 5. 05 pm con la esperanza de superar la prisa de la cena, y me dijeron que serían 45 minutos por correo electrónico. Una vez que llegamos a la hora, llamé para comprobarlo, me dijeron que estaban muy ocupados y que llegaría pronto. Pasaron y pasaron otros 90 minutos y volví a llamar quejándome, se disculparon y les dije que no era lo suficientemente bueno, que en realidad habíamos ido al supermercado y comíamos bocadillos mientras esperábamos. Cuando llegó la comida, la mayor parte estaba empapada y el orden estaba completamente equivocado. Por ejemplo, pedimos un kebab simple con un poco de salsa de chile, y obtuvimos un kebab lleno de ensalada y mayonesa y algún otro tipo de salsa de mayonesa. Una vez más, llamé y me dijeron que la próxima vez que ordene, será en la casa por el valor de mi pedido. El hombre volvió a llamar una hora después y dijo lo mismo. No tenía intención de sacar provecho de eso ya que la comida era patética. Envié un correo electrónico al día siguiente ofreciendo consejos y ayuda amigables y obtuve una respuesta agradable. Dijeron que estaban bajo una nueva administración y solo estaban probando cosas. Avance rápido 6 semanas y estoy en la casa con los niños, no queriendo salir de la casa pero con hambre, pensé que les daría otra oportunidad, usando mi comida gratis que me prometieron, solo para encontrarme con acusaciones de intentar conseguir un regalo de promoción y no tener pruebas. Les envié parte de la correspondencia esperando que dijeran que sí, lo recordamos, pero se aferraron a sus armas y dijeron que no podían darme comida gratis. El tono de la respuesta fue deliberado, y sugerir que estoy pidiendo comida gratis es inflamatorio en mi opinión, ya que habría ido al lugar para recuperar mi dinero en la noche original, que es lo que debería haber hecho. La excusa común que he descubierto es que dicen que están bajo una nueva administración, sin embargo, paso todos los días y de todos modos son las mismas caras durante los últimos 3 años. Estoy muy molesto porque no sean honorables y me acusen de mentir. Realmente deben necesitar el dinero, y son los últimos 23 que recibirán de mí. Solo me he sentido obligado a escribir una crítica en 2 ocasiones, esta es la segunda, y la primera fue después de tener una gran experiencia. Este lote se ha tomado una libertad, y creo que necesitan aprender sobre el honor. A pesar de eso, la comida era asquerosa, tal vez porque había estado fuera durante mucho tiempo, pero sería mejor comprar kebabs congelados y meterlos en el microondas. El servicio de entrega también es sorprendentemente lento.

Placed my order in store at the counter, then walked all the way back to my accommodation, went into the bag, only to find some of my order was missing(I called the shop to inform the employee/ owner) and his reply was that as it was a collection it was not his fault, it was mines, apparently in here you have to order the food, pay for the food wait(for ages), for the food then when it's eventually hand you the bag (tied in a knot), you then have to untie the knotted bag and I'm guessing on the shop floor(as there's no table to carry out the search), thoroughly search the bag to make sure the gentleman behind the counter is capable of putting everything that you asked him for personally only 10mins before into the bag, his attitude was shocking on the phone and an hour later he sent the other half of my order up but it went in the bin as the rest of my food was cold 1 star

Was up in Oban for a weekend away and ordered a chicken tikka and onion pizza, I can honestly say as somewhat of a pizza connoisseur, this was one of the best pizzas I have ever had. Nothing short of amazing and their chicken tikka is unbelievable. Staff are also polite and welcoming.

What's wrong with this place , everything wrong with our order , kebab meat also tasted like cardboard, this place has went downhill fast, also no popadoms or extra sauce with our order which we paid for , we had to wait an extra hour for us to get our order right and be delivered, it's just not good enough when you are paying over £50 and get rubbish, I wont be back!!

I have walked passed a few times and thought I'd give it a try I was wrong, I witnessed the guy put raw chicken on skewers and then run over and put salad on a kebab and even in cheese without washing his hands, also seen raw chicken and lamb on plastic trays laying on the ground, my friend confronted them only to be told mind your own business and told to leave and never come back, please STAY AWAY FROM HERE is you value your own health

Good food. Pizzas and kebabs are delicious sometimes busy at the weekend so best to call ahead.

Awful service always getting orders wrong and staff very rude to customers! Trying to change £22 for 1 meal witch was wrong 3 times! Only good thing about the place is the nice driver that couldn’t apologise enough... won’t be going back

Stopped in from our Airbnb down the street, and the munchie box was an absolute delight. Definitely recommend with the salad.

Since our move to Oban we are constantly at the grill house. The food is amazing and never disappoints! Portions are huge and great value! I’d recommend the set meal for 2 as you get excellent value for money! Only issue is check you have everything you ordered cause sometimes things get missed but overall amazing!!

Ordered a tikka curry absolutely disgusting!! Tasted exactly like a tin of Heinz tomato soup with a couple of spices thrown in. I’ve had food before from the grill house which was basic but edible, don’t know what happened this time but I will not be going back. Apart from this the staff are always very pleasant just not on this occasion the food. Very disappointed !

Over charged, dishes missing and cheeky staff...

Ordered a simply carry out on Wednesday night. When we got home we had a starter missing and an extra curry which we didn’t order and were unsure what it was. We phoned the restaurant but were told we had what we ordered when we tried to explain the cheeky man talked over us and would not listen. We eventually gave in and ended our conversation only to check our bill and find out we had overcharged even with the extra food which turned out to be very tasteless. Would not recommend this carry out and will certainly not be going back.

We placed an order to collect earlier this week and were overcharged plus the order was wrong. I phoned to explain we hadn’t received what was ordered but the staff didn’t care, wouldn’t listen and were quite rude!! This wouldn’t have been quite as bad if the food had been tasty however we didn’t even finish the meal. Spicy onions were sweet, curry lacked any spice and the mixed pakora was only mushroom. So disappointed in our experience and will definitely ever be back!!

Pizza's cooked fresh, crispy chips, very nice garlic sauce to accompany the pizza. Really lovely little place.

Went in for milkshakes only so not expecting too long a wait. Young guy behind counter was half asleep and took ages to make them. Not even a smile could be provided!!! On the plus side the milkshakes were really good but need to brush up on service.

Been here 4 or 5 times in the past year and it's always been great. Hoggies are brilliant and even a medium is filling and great value. Curry is good too. They are always helpful and will give you extra sauce etc

I have to say we have only visited three times, but the food has been consistent, and so has the Friendly service. The Grill Box is very good value and tasty.

Oh my gosh the food from here was fantastic although we wanted the food delivered the owner struggled to understand what we were saying so we had a walk to order and wait for our food which was brill.

This is the best place for pizza's on Oban, the calzoni's are really packed with fillings. Their kebabs are also very filling. I'll be going back again.
