On a quick stop in Omagh we took the opportunity to eat, and by chance we found Number 19. A success, very friendly and delicious food.

Stopped off for breakfast on way back to Donegal from Dublin. Restaurant is nicely decorated, the staff were efficient and friendly. I ordered the scrambled egg, spinach and chilli. The eggs were placed on top of two huge slices of homemade bread, a nice side salad accompanied them. Overall a great experience.

Really bad experience. We would never go back. The guy that took our order was pleasant and seemed efficient. We went in for coffee but seeing the menu, decided to eat as it looked really interesting. I ordered scrambled egg with spinach, Parmesan and chilli. I specifically asked what bread they had. I asked for granary. My wife had scrambled egg with spring onion and smoked salmon and specifically asked for wheaten bread. It arrived in 10 minutes and looked Ok, other than.. who has half a bag of Doritos on the plate with scrambled eggs on toast? It soon became apparent that we’d both got the right eggs, with each others bread selection. I went to the counter to tell the waitress. She came over and took them away. I said, “if you just want to switch them around, that’s fine. I’d have done it myself here but it’d be too messy”. We then waited 15 minutes for the meals to come back. Now to be fair, they’d been done again from scratch, correctly. Unfortunately, it was really nasty! Mine was OK, just very bland. If there was chilli in it, news to me! Under seasoned too. But, it was my wife’s salmon that was the killer. As you can see from the picture, that’s not like any smoked salmon I’ve ever had before! It was all smashed and nasty looking. My wife said it was like cat food spread on the toast! I didn’t want the Doritos but my wife tried them because she couldn’t eat her salmon. She immediately said “these are soggy”. We left most of our meals. I went up to pay and was told “we don’t take cards”. I looked a bit surprised and the woman said (obviously had this lots of times) “there are signs up everywhere telling you that”. I looked and couldn’t see any. Then I clocked it. A sign next to the till where you go to pay. I had no English money on me. She directed me to the cash machine over the road. I went and got money. On my way back in, I looked for the “we don’t take cards” signs. There were none. Not in the window, not on the door and not on the tables. one sign, by the till, that you’d see as you tried to pay. All in all a terrible experience.

If I’ve ever been to Omagh before I don’t recall and it’s likely I’ll not be there ever again. As I ambled I was struck by a few things - the cheerful enthusiasm of the local traffic warden, who seemed to be following me even though I’d parked up, how busy it was as we live through austerity, an Irish Sea border and a pandemic, (even finding a parking space was challenging) and the number of shoe shops trading close by one another. On my way back to the car I spotted this coffee place just adjacent to where I’d parked so I picked up a take out cappuccino - it was a good size, great tasting and I think £2.79. I tried to pay with Revolut but their card machine was broken so folding money it was. Had a bit of banter with the barista as he made my brew so all in all pleasant. I’d give it 3 green stars for their locally made produce and the degradable coffee cups and no pressure to use a plastic lid. I sat in my car and listened to John Denver’s Wildlife Concert. Dear John gone much too soon.

Oh dear. The food here is so incredibly bland, it is shocking. How can food be so tasteless? I don't know. It made a miserable day considerably more miserable. Very disappointing, and even if the food had been good, the portions are much too small to be filling. Service was okay and the place seemed very clean, but really can't recommend it beyond that. Unfortunately, Omagh is really lacking in decent breakfast and lunch spots so this place is by no means exceptional in its mediocrity.

Finished off the meal with delicious ice-cream and some tasty tray bakes. As this little café is at the top end of the town, it is maybe overlooked at times, but we found it recently and have enjoyed our visits here. The man in charge is very friendly and professional, and the service is quick. Hot drinks are lovely, if perhaps a tad overpriced for the size. Today we were in for lunch. Although I asked for something off the breakfast menu, it was not a problem. Hubby went all adventurous and ordered bacon and turnip soup ( he usually plays safe with vegetable) and it was absolutely delicious. My coffee was really hot which was great. A tiny little biccie with the hot drinks is a lovely extra touch. The café has a range of gluten free items too. Nearby parking can be a bit of a problem. Some steps to negotiate to get in.

Ive been here a few times and really enjoyed my food but my last visit was terrible. Where to start...First of the food has changed and not for the better. I used to get the french toast with bacon which I really enjoyed but the last time I had it, it was a pile of sloppy mess on a plate, either it wasnt cooked long enough or god forbid its been frozen and recooked. Either way it was a disgrace to serve that to anyone.Second of all the look of the cheesecake is awful, the cracks and skin thats formed on the top is enough to tell to stay well clear and that it should be thrown in the bin.And lastly, the atmosphere in the place was terrible. I heard arguments comin from the kitchen which no one should have to listen to when they are on their lunch break. A short lady who seemed to have some authority seemed to be barking orders at everyone which made me (a customer) feel very uncomfortable so god only knows how the staff were feeling. No way to run a business in my opinion.Because I encountered so many problems I can't see myself returning anytime soon.I hope number 19 hasnt fallen into the trap that new places find themselves more often...build up good trade by serving excellent food when they first open and then get cocky and start making cutbacks where the food is concerned. Such a shame but ive seen this happened before and it never ends well

I myself am a woman from belfast who's used to poker faced service without the smile. I've sampled many place's in Omagh due to working within the court. I have never bothered writing on such sites but just delt the need to say that Number 19 was exquisite in every way possible, the service and warm smile I had from a lady in her late 40's early 50's was sublime. This lady I heard someone call her Ann as they said good bye to her upon leaving. I hope your team are well thought after as this LADY is a credit to your establishment. The quick service while being so busy deserves 5 stars, my coffee was served promptly as was my toasted sandwich. I was so impressed I made reference to my visit on quite a few occasions. Fantastic A* Number 19Sadly my only criticism is that my toastie could have been a bit fuller for the belfast price tag in a small country town.

Some how they managed to take this review down but I'm reposting it so everyone knows how they treat prospective customers... I bought two tickets to one of the Summer Sessions concerts but I got COVID the day before. I requested a refund on the event ticket app but got no response so I contacted the venue directly. I was told the lady who dealt with refunds was off, but because I bought the tickets over 30 days ago, I probably would not be eligible. This was all before the event and tickets were still on sale! I then tried contacting the venue through the event ticket app after the event and I never got a response! Not even so much as a discount voucher. £60 down the drain. I will never go to a concert here again!
