The hotel definitely has the potential of becoming a 5 star location however my stay was not excellent as there were a few service, amenity and facility issues: some improvements and additions could be made.

City centre hotel with great refinements. Some basic rooms and some nicer ones. There are other that are better value but this was used for a team building / training ground day and the service around that was not good.

We wanted a city centre stay so we could get to visit the docks, martime museum and galleries. Very conveniently located and staff were very helpful and friendly despite it being a very busy half term.

A really well positioned hotel, right next to Liverpool One. The staff in reception are very helpful as well as the bar and restaurant staff. A clean hotel that also sports a great swimimming pool and Rope Walks features.

We have stayed several times at Novotel Hanover St. and this time we were quite dissapointed, sad to say because we like this hotel. The good... Great location, staff are friendly, swimming pool and leisure is nice, price is decent, rooms are fine for the most part. I love the shower, it's great. The bad... Breakfast was poor this time. My son is a pancake fiend and he couldn't eat them, I am a sausage fiend and I couldn't eat them. Generally a bit chaotic at peak breakfast time and the queue was not managed well, a few cheeky younger guys paying no regard to the queue and just skipping past helping themselves, was infuriating. But the most disappointing this was the cleanliness of the tables. They felt grimey and sticky and generally just not well cleaned. Which is a shame, because I felt this was the thing that let it down most, everything else you can excuse really. We played pool the first night Friday, my son loves it and is a big part of his enjoyment there. But we went back to the hotel bar earlier on Saturday just so he could play again, to see it covered over and that it was "broken". Maybe so, but TBH I think the bar staff were just saying that so they wouldn't have to set it up. Bedrooms are fine for the most part, but there was some kind of weird smell in ours. My wife saying it smelled like dirty hair. Not sure we'll chose Novotel next time we visit TBH

Visited for a training course. Projector flickered constantly giving me a headache and was told off for having a coffee out of the machine 🙃

We spent 5 days in the hotel. The hotel is well located, within a maximum 15-minute walk to all the worthwhile places to see in Liverpool. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious compared to rooms at the same price in other hotels I've been to. Pool and gym available. Standard breakfast with something good for everyone. The staff was very nice and helpful. We are satisfied with our stay. P.S. We purchased parking with a discount, just 1 minute walk from the hotel. Thank you 😊

**Your response is patronising and untrue. You also FAILED to mention that you have FAILED to respond to my official complaint. You offered us a late check out in a room that was full of unbearable noise, had workmen peering through our window then turned your back on me and walked out when I was in tears and said I couldn't stand a second longer and neither could my daughter who was terrified. You didn't mention the pool, we would have declined anyway as we both have disabilities etc. Not only do you staff lie, you lie. So I will now be seeking legal advice. WE HAD MEN LOOKING THROUGH OUR WINDOW!! YOU FAILED IN YOUR DUTY OF CARE TO PROTECT MY CHILD FROM THAT. I have photo and Video evidence, If you want workmen peering through your window of your family room with your young child in then this is the place to go! Apparently it's not an issue to this hotel after 10am it's acceptable. If you want to leave early in tears, again this place is a must. If you want your complaint ignored, hey, you're on a roll

Had a really good stay here, were very clean and spacious rooms. Atmosphere and location was really good. Had some issues with the key and opening one of the room doors and was a reoccurring issue and the receptionist kept informing us that it was because it was past 12am which made no sense because the other room door was fine.

The cleaners need to be checked that they are cleaning the rooms properly. My room was full of dust and drink spilt all the curtains and marks all over the walls clearly the management and not checking up on the staff are doing their job correctly.

Had a great stay with my two young sons. Loved the pool. The room had everything we needed including a small fridge to keep our lunches/drinks cool. Loved the carpet in the room . Pillows and curtains could use updating. Great breakfast! Shower/tub good pressure/size but mould in corners. Lots of towels and sofa bed prepped for sleeping. Loved the touch of having umbrellas to borrow. Very friendly staff especially the breakfast staff. Remember to book the pool ahead of time. A good stay! Thank you!

Excellent location, lovely staff on reception. Room was spacious even for a family of 4, the second bed was MUCH comfier than the last time we stayed. My sleep was disturbed but only because the room was far too warm and the air conditioning wasn't working very well.

The facilities in the hotel were just what we needed and centrally located. Food was good, guy at check in very friendly however we found the bar and restaurant staff rude & unhelpful. Almost every guest we spoke with had the same experience. There was one guy behind the bar that had no clue what he was doing. I actually felt sorry for him at the beginning as felt like he had never served anyone before and gotten no training. Some of the staff hired should not be working in hospitality and really let down the hotel.

Great hotel in the centre of Liverpool. 9 minutes from Lime Street Station and shop, bars and places to visit within easy walking distance. Great breakfast, plenty of choice and well cooked. Lovely hotel atmosphere too for chilling. Pool was great, book your slot and it's easy. Not huge and children were in there so it was a bit busy. Still really nice tho for an evening swim. Certainly stay here again.

We will definitely be returning, 9/10 as the only thing we were unable to do with a family of 5 was book an adjoined room which would have been super handy with 3 children aged 5 and under, even though requested in the notes when we arrived it was not available on arrival. Staff were welcoming and accommodating, facilities were great and rooms were clean.

I had a really bad experience at this hotel as as I arrived, my room was not ready and the big guy in reception made me feel very threatened as he came across very aggressive and had a frightening look on his face. When I arrived to my room. One bed was not made The manager was very helpful, but the big guy was honestly scary to even look at. He should be sacked from this job as has know hospitality I don’t really leave Reviews or like to put a place down, but I had to put this up as the experience was that bad. I never experienced this experience in any other Premier in your as I am a truck driver and I stay in Premier Inn a lot, but this was the worst so far.

Building is beautiful, spotless, customer service was good. They dont give out multiple keys for each room which made me feel safer actually. The only HUGE let down was the spas hygeine practices or lack of. The therapist was very good, again, the building is stunning especially the spa part but considering how much you're paying and realising they don't change the towels between each client on the massage beds, no wonder they are a dark colour. So you're literally laying on and under towels that have been used on every single other clients oiled and naked body that day. Not to mention the towels are extremely thin too. I work in this industry and I know that too many high end spas don't change their towels between clients, if at all for days, all just to keep costs down and this place is exactly the same. Disgusting when you're paying nearly £100 or more for a massage. Do better please.

Lovely meal again at Greek Taverna. Food is always fresh particularly the meats served with the kebabs. Service staff are always attentive, and food arrives with a smile . Definitely no hesitation in recommending people to try the Greek Taverna , Smithdown Rd. Thanks guys
