Everything was incredible, service was fantastic and the food was out of this world. A must visit for anyone, not just vegans. Every bite was an flavour sensation. There aren't enough places like this.

Second visit: This is probably the best vegetarian restaurant we've eaten at in the UK. Flavour profile is up there with Kirk Haworth's "Plates" while price is nearer to "Bubala" (both of those in London). Overall, excellent, and we are committed meat eaters! We will visit again, probably soon.

My friend booked No.Twelve for us last night, before a gig. OMG, I wasn’t expecting to eat somewhere as special as this. We had travelled a long way and were running late, so we were very grateful for our food being pushed through quickly. The standard of food and presentation were so high and we loved everything we ordered. The service was excellent and the restaurant had a really lovely atmosphere. It was a shame we had to leave so soon but said it would be with another 60 mile drive to Nottingham to go again.

The restaurant is a very relaxing place to be. Our meal was really delicious, this is a shining example of a plant based restaurant making a the very best of the ingredients. There was a small technical glitch with the order of our meal meaning it was delayed, when this delay was bought to the attention of the staff, they could not do enough to rectify this, our food was prioritised through the kitchen, a complimentary dish was added and there was an adjustment to the total bill to reflect the delay. What a first class recovery to a slip up that really was no ones fault. We will return here whenever we are visiting Nottingham.

Out first visit to No12 and what a gem of a restaurant. Cosy atmosphere, very knowledgeable & friendly staff but most importantly, the food! As long standing vegans we find it hard to find great plant based grub. This place delivers in spades and we’ll definitely be going back. Thank you to Ritchie & his fab team for making my hubby’s birthday.

Great food, although some bread to mop up would have been a nice touch. Get annoyed when a 12.5% service charge is added automatically, surely the customer gets to decide if the service was good or not. In this case, it was good but I'd like to be able to decide whether to pay it or not....

Incredibly impressed with the food, I wouldn't have believed it was vegan. My favorite meal of the evening was the Sweet and Spicy.

Can't fault anything about our visit here and I'll absolutely be coming back again!

We asked to have another table and though the restaurant was almost empty this seemed to be a problem? But the service was good, the food by and large excellent (the butternut squash maybe a bit salty?) and I have never tasted better vegetarian food. So, all in all excellent and committed.....

Having seen Ritchie on MasterChef the professionals 2024, as we were travelling from Southampton to Nottingham (my home town) my wife and I decided to visit his No12 restaurant in Nottingham to celebrate our 45th Wedding Anniversary and I must tell you that we were blown away by the venue and the food. It was far better than we expected and as a bonus, we got to meet the man himself and his lovely wife. Congratulations on your venture (we don’t know the results yet) but whatever the result is, you have done an amazing job. Keep it going. We wish you the very best.

I'm neither vegan nor vegetarian, but if I had to pick somewhere to eat in Nottingham I would come here again and order some of the dishes I didn't try this time. The food was incredible.

Absolutely delightful lunch. We really enjoyed the small plates sharing concept and were so pleased we left space for dessert. Everything was delicious. The menu was also very seasonal, packed full of ingredients that are available at this time of the year.

As seen on Masterchef so far Richie that is head chef and owns this restaurant is in the quarterfinals and his food looks amazing and according to Marcus Wareing and Monica and Gregg Wallace it tastes amazing.

Our first visit and it certainly will not be our last, lovely restaurant great service and food cooked by a chef who has a passion for delivering amazing food. All of our dishes were fresh and full of flavour.

We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE No 12. It’s a little hidden gem of a place with such flavourful and perfect plant based food. It is always well worth the visit and our absolute favourite is the baked Camembert which has a different twist every time it’s on the menu. The balsamic caviar we had last night was amazing on the salad and the chocolate and roast hazelnut dessert was too beautiful to eat and not overly sweet. The English Halfpenny wine is also a massive hit with us and has such a great flavour it has really put British wines on the map for us. We took my parents here for mums birthday and they thoroughly enjoyed their food so much that they’d love to come back. They are meat eaters and were certainly not disappointed by the lack of yucky flesh on their plate in any way!! High fives guys.

An amazing lunch with flavours which were novel without being gimmicky and beautifully presented. Never tasted anything as autumnal as these.

High quality ingredients, imaginatively prepared and presented. A must for vegetarians / vegans looking for a Michelin star level experience. They are passionate about minimizing waste and sustainability. Obviously the prices are quite high but still good value in my opinion.

I took my daughter to Number 12 as a birthday present. We chose the tasting menu and the wine to accompany the meal. Wow it was absolutely amazing. The service was incredible, the staff are so attentive and knowledgeable. Each course and wine is explained in great detail. I’m not vegan and I’ve eaten at a fair few multi stared Michelin star restaurants and this would give them a run for their money. The food really makes you smile and plays with your tastebuds. Fabulous The cocktails were very reasonably priced and perfectly mixed The restaurant has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and is spotlessly clean and welcoming. I can’t recommend it enough

We enjoyed another lovely visit to No12. The food was delicious as ever!

3rd time I’ve been. Excellent autumnal menu. Had 8 dishes and 2 desserts (between my partner and I) the butternut squash and toffee pudding were the stand out but all amazing. Probably in the top 3 restaurants I’ve been to in the U.K. (I’m not a vegan/veggie).

Food was fantastic - really great design, very tasty Sharing platter idea is confusing- it needs better explanation on menus and servers need to understand it ad well Environment was cool or cold - needed heating on Will definitely return

FYI I am not vegan, and I went for a wine tasting so only tried canapés, which were really tasty, and made me want to go and try the food. I cook and when you consider how technical you have to be extract flavour from not having every ingredient at your disposal, is the canapés impressed me. I will try the full menu at some stage. Let’s face it, a complete change when most menus are getting very repetitive!

Enjoyed by all of our party 3 out of 4 were not vegan but everyone loved it. The variety, presentation and taste was great. We would head here even without a vegan guest and are inspired how plant-based eating is a tasty daily option. Not quite converted but vegan-curious now. Thank you

Lovely lunch Vegan food is not boring 😋

Two year anniversary meal and as always amazing food!

We were walking through Nottingham today after looking at an exhibition. Wanting to find somewhere for lunch we stumbled on this gem of a place. Tucked away through an old archway into a courtyard we thought we would give it a try. Well we have always said that our benchmark was the lovely Acorn vegetarian restaurant in Bath but this now sets a whole new level! Yes it is all plant based and vegan but I would challenge my meat eating friends to try it there. Incredibly tasty tapas dishes, each one was quite different from the next. Sauces were amazing. Can't wait to go back there now :)

Lovely place*; found it ages ago when we were looking for somewhere to go for the weekend & fancied Nottingham: looking at the menu etc. then confirmed that Nottingham was worth a visit as the menu looked so good, & the reviews were all good! So, we were really looking forward to it, although looking at the menu just before I booked it, it didn't look as exiting as we had thought. (2 vegans + 1 meat-eater but always eats vegan with us.) *The location was lovely, staff nice & attentive, but we were disappointed with the food sadly - it looked lovely, but it was all too sweet.....I know this can be a problem with veggie/ vegan food, but a bit of chilli, miso, yeast extract etc. would have been good - even the piccalilli was not 'piquant', & was too sweet. Also - & more concerning to me who is a bit obsessed with 'broccoli' etc. - there were no greens at all on the menu which is crazy at a vegan/ veggie restaurant!! I think there was a salad, but that's not enough. So, I would not rush to recommend the food, unless you really like all of your meal sweet, or be sure to take a bottle of Henderson's relish, soy sauce or similar with you!

I could eat here everyday! Every dish was delicious! I love that even the wines were vegan!

Great food in a relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere, we had the taster and every dish was really nice, put together with great care and attention. The only negative would be the amount of food, even for a taster the size of the dishes were very small.

We had a great experience here, the service was brilliant & we felt really relaxed without being rushed. The restaurant had a great look & atmosphere. The food was surprisgly (as a non vegan) really good, we ordered a lot of the menu and only a couple of dishes we weren't a massive fan of. But majority we really enjoyed and over ate. I would highely recommened this restaurant and would go back again even though I am not a vegan.

Five of us shared a wonderful meal, full of new and imaginative flavours. We have been before and will surely come again. My only comment was that I would have liked proper bread with the dips as the foccacia was minimal and didn't taste of much.

Lovely little restaurant with excellent food and great service.

I've dined at many great places and often favour a meat option, but today we decided to go for a vegetarian option, and my goodness, I was not disappointed. The food at No. Twelve is the best I've tasted in many years and feel guilt to say I actually ordered the same dessert twice, Service was great and we felt looked after. I'm sat here writing this review and say to all the meat eaters like myself, give this place a shot and don't write off vegetarian food. This place is a game changer.

Wow.. No 12 did not disappoint. As someone who is the Venn Diagram of gluten free and vegetarian (as Taylor says “I’m the problem.. it’s me!”) finding this respite in the storm was like being taken into the safe company of Robin Hood and his Merry Men. We felt cared for, looked after, and most importantly nourished with some delicious, beautiful food. The photos do not do this little gem of an establishment justice… go check them out for yourself!

Beautiful food in a lovely setting with great service. The small plates idea was wonderful as we got to sample lots of beautiful food. The tiramisu was possibly the most beautiful dessert I've had in my life, and I'm not usually a dessert person. We'll definitely be back.

What an amazing meal to celebrate our daughter's A level results. We booked the tasting menu and wine pairing and can honestly say it's one of the best I've had, and all plant based! Even my nut allergy was no trouble. Can't believe we haven't tried No. 12 sooner, we will be back.

Food and service amazing as usual, cannot fault the flavours and quality. Portion size however is getting smaller. We've had the lunch deal now 3 times and each time the portions are getting smaller, in particular the flatbreads and wontons. This has put us off from returning, as we were still hungry after.

A friend and I visited this weekend to celebrate her birthday and wow what a find. The food was incredible, especially the wontons! We had the set lunch for two which was amazing value for money and we loved each dish. They wrote “happy birthday” on her dessert plate too which was a nice touch as I’d included that on the booking. The tiramisu with miso was divine. Will definitely be back 👌🏻

Went for a taster menu, a very interesting menu, lots of different flavours and techniques that I hadn't experienced before. Well worth a visit, something very different from the usual high street fair and there are very few vegetarian restaurants of this quality and imagination

Amazing food, cute little location... It was a great time, definitely. The 7 course meal was absolutely amazing. More straightforward than Alchemilla, making it, in my mind, better. Just incredible stuff start to finish. Atmosphere was good, only that it's quite small so a bit in the passage, and we can hear the hand drier from downstairs vibrate haha. But nothing that ruined our perfect meal.

Atmosphere is lovely. Food is ok but for the price I would have expected more options and tastier food. I’ve just gone to a vegan restaurant elsewhere which was really cheap but the food was a fine dining level. Also accomodating intolerances was not the easiest. I was left with only two options on the menu.

Came for a graduation and birthday lunch. Ordered 1 of everything on the menu and couldn’t have been happier with each and every dish!

One of the best meals out we’ve had in a long time. Clever delicious food in humble surroundings. This was a treat for my veggie sister’s graduation and as a non-vegan I was blown away by the Ingenuity and depth of flavours. I have been converted and as we return to Scotland we thank you for making our trip that bit extra special. All the best for the future!

We had a wonderful meal here, the tasting menu as a special treat for my son finishing his exams. What can I say? The food was divine, atmosphere lovely and service first rate. The only slight niggle I have is that I’m not a huge fan of vegan cheese substitutes so would prefer dishes without if possible. However, don’t let this put you off, the courses were all amazing! If you haven’t been already, go!

First visit to No 12, staff welcoming from the start, very attentive throughout. Great music selection being played and amazing food- so much choice, didn’t wait long at all between courses and lovely touch with birthday messages on our desserts. Would highly recommend ☺️ fantastic to not have to check anything on the menu as all plant based-made a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Second visit to No.Twelve and everything was great. The service was excellent, really nice staff. This was a spontaneous visit as we live in leicester with limited vegan/plant based restaurants and first choice was No.Twelve. I rated the food 4 stars as the strawberry custard tart was a little too sweet for my liking. But other than that we had a lovely time and will definitely visit again. If you’re looking for an independent restaurant in Nottingham with good food and drink then be sure to visit.

Fantastic! We had been wanting to come since the glowing reviews in the media a couple of years ago came out, and we were not disappointed. We sat on the deck outside on a sunny day and received very attentive and friendly service. The food was beautifully presented. But above all, the food was spectacular! We cook and know our way around a domestic kitchen, but this was a new level of flavours and textures that still has us talking about it. Stop reading here if you want to avoid p(l)ot spoilers... Who would have thought of putting toasted rice on top of a risotto? Little details like sautéed carrot greens, sage, and dill underneath the airy-light sweet potato croquettes made a comforting dish something that was differently herbed with every mouthful. And the roasted cauliflower cheese came in a gochujang sauce that had us order light, toasted focaccia to mop up every bit. This is a restaurant that really benefits from the sharing dish approach. We will be back.
