Every aspect -wonderful. Vegan food of the highest standard. However, it was my husband’s birthday which was completely overlooked. That was disappointing.

Fantastic food and fantastic food Maybe would prefer a biggger cocktail menu and the space was a little cramped but will definitely be back!

Wow.. No 12 did not disappoint. As someone who is the Venn Diagram of gluten free and vegetarian (as Taylor says “I’m the problem.. it’s me!”) finding this respite in the storm was like being taken into the safe company of Robin Hood and his Merry Men. We felt cared for, looked after, and most importantly nourished with some delicious, beautiful food. The photos do not do this little gem of an establishment justice… go check them out for yourself!

Beautiful food in a lovely setting with great service. The small plates idea was wonderful as we got to sample lots of beautiful food. The tiramisu was possibly the most beautiful dessert I've had in my life, and I'm not usually a dessert person. We'll definitely be back.

What an amazing meal to celebrate our daughter's A level results. We booked the tasting menu and wine pairing and can honestly say it's one of the best I've had, and all plant based! Even my nut allergy was no trouble. Can't believe we haven't tried No. 12 sooner, we will be back.

Food and service amazing as usual, cannot fault the flavours and quality. Portion size however is getting smaller. We've had the lunch deal now 3 times and each time the portions are getting smaller, in particular the flatbreads and wontons. This has put us off from returning, as we were still hungry after.

A friend and I visited this weekend to celebrate her birthday and wow what a find. The food was incredible, especially the wontons! We had the set lunch for two which was amazing value for money and we loved each dish. They wrote “happy birthday” on her dessert plate too which was a nice touch as I’d included that on the booking. The tiramisu with miso was divine. Will definitely be back 👌🏻

Our friends found this gem just hidden off the main path. I was veggie dishes only? Hmmm well im easy let’s try it out. All our dishes had great flavours. Truly enjoyed

Went for a taster menu, a very interesting menu, lots of different flavours and techniques that I hadn't experienced before. Well worth a visit, something very different from the usual high street fair and there are very few vegetarian restaurants of this quality and imagination

Amazing food, cute little location... It was a great time, definitely. The 7 course meal was absolutely amazing. More straightforward than Alchemilla, making it, in my mind, better. Just incredible stuff start to finish. Atmosphere was good, only that it's quite small so a bit in the passage, and we can hear the hand drier from downstairs vibrate haha. But nothing that ruined our perfect meal.

Atmosphere is lovely. Food is ok but for the price I would have expected more options and tastier food. I’ve just gone to a vegan restaurant elsewhere which was really cheap but the food was a fine dining level. Also accomodating intolerances was not the easiest. I was left with only two options on the menu.

We celebrated my partner’s birthday with the taster menu and had a wonderful evening. The food was all amazing, but the atmosphere, decor and especially the service were great too, with staff clearly taking pride in this brilliant restaurant.

Came for a graduation and birthday lunch. Ordered 1 of everything on the menu and couldn’t have been happier with each and every dish!

One of the best meals out we’ve had in a long time. Clever delicious food in humble surroundings. This was a treat for my veggie sister’s graduation and as a non-vegan I was blown away by the Ingenuity and depth of flavours. I have been converted and as we return to Scotland we thank you for making our trip that bit extra special. All the best for the future!

We had a wonderful meal here, the tasting menu as a special treat for my son finishing his exams. What can I say? The food was divine, atmosphere lovely and service first rate. The only slight niggle I have is that I’m not a huge fan of vegan cheese substitutes so would prefer dishes without if possible. However, don’t let this put you off, the courses were all amazing! If you haven’t been already, go!

First visit to No 12, staff welcoming from the start, very attentive throughout. Great music selection being played and amazing food- so much choice, didn’t wait long at all between courses and lovely touch with birthday messages on our desserts. Would highly recommend ☺️ fantastic to not have to check anything on the menu as all plant based-made a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Second visit to No.Twelve and everything was great. The service was excellent, really nice staff. This was a spontaneous visit as we live in leicester with limited vegan/plant based restaurants and first choice was No.Twelve. I rated the food 4 stars as the strawberry custard tart was a little too sweet for my liking. But other than that we had a lovely time and will definitely visit again. If you’re looking for an independent restaurant in Nottingham with good food and drink then be sure to visit.

Great find, really relaxed atmosphere and the food and wine were great

Fantastic! We had been wanting to come since the glowing reviews in the media a couple of years ago came out, and we were not disappointed. We sat on the deck outside on a sunny day and received very attentive and friendly service. The food was beautifully presented. But above all, the food was spectacular! We cook and know our way around a domestic kitchen, but this was a new level of flavours and textures that still has us talking about it. Stop reading here if you want to avoid p(l)ot spoilers... Who would have thought of putting toasted rice on top of a risotto? Little details like sautéed carrot greens, sage, and dill underneath the airy-light sweet potato croquettes made a comforting dish something that was differently herbed with every mouthful. And the roasted cauliflower cheese came in a gochujang sauce that had us order light, toasted focaccia to mop up every bit. This is a restaurant that really benefits from the sharing dish approach. We will be back.

I really wanted to love this place, but I just found the whole experience quite average for the price you pay. The food was nice, but nothing special. The tiramisu was the best dish of the night, and I would recommend it to everyone. Another thing that bothered me was the smell coming from the toilets. There must be a leaking drain, as when you walk down the stairs, the smell of sewage hits you hard, which is quite unsettling when you are eating.

Due to the worst day at work, we couldn't attend, however Ellie was super understanding, and I really appreciated her support, and the outcome. Will definitely be along again, the best vegetarian restaurant in town.

As it was our first time at Number Twelve, we tried the 9 course tasting menu and it was certainly the best meal I've ever had. The presentation is as good as it looks on the website. The mixture of textures and tastes makes every dish pop. The zero waste seasonal snack was a nice idea and a strong start. I really enjoyed the elderflower/macadamia refresher and I was blown away by the "cheese and caviar but no cheese and no caviar" in a green tomato soup. My husband's highlight was the corn chimichurri. The last course (however excellent) was too much, we should have asked for a doggy bag! Talking of dogs, I was delighted that I was allowed to bring mine. He was delighted too because the girls fussed him until they were told off to return in the kitchen. By the way, the service was impeccable and the cocktails were nice too (we tried the Lavender one, and the Earl Grey one). The ambiance was relaxed, with Jack Johnson and others playing in the background. We will definitely come back.

I can only describe the whole experience as remarkable! The atmosphere was great, cosy and chic. The service was brilliant, staff were kind and welcoming. The food, oh the food! I'm not vegan, not even vegetarian, but I enjoyed every single thing I tried. Lovely snacks, the tapas were great - you can go light or more filling. Seasonal products and everything was absolutely delicious and flavourful. Fairly small (but not limiting in any way!) menu, but everything we tried was perfected. Great attention to deteail. The desserts complemented the rest - best tiramisu I've ever had, with a twist to the original recipe. Can't wait to go back.

I treated my daughter for her birthday by booking us and her 12 month old baby boy to lunch at No 12. We ordered the lunch special with a couple of extra dishes and found them all extremely tasty, beautifully presented and served by an attentive waitress. My grandson tried everything too! Our favourite was the celeriac dish. We ordered all three of the desserts with a strawberry cheesecake cocktail and again they tasted wonderful. The chef even wrote Happy Birthday Becky on the tiramisu plate 😍. Visiting 12 for the first time was a truly special experience and we will be back!

No 12 didn’t disappoint- everything was fab especially the food - it was our 1st time but it was all explained how to order - thank you and will definitely be going back bringing more friends and family x

Really lovely food, I’m not vegan but thought it was delicious and didn’t miss the meat. The staff were lovely and very helpful, one person dropped their cutlery and the staff came over with spares before we could even ask. Really nice chilled atmosphere. Would definitely go back again

I went in today the tables were sticky. The menu had drinks, splashes all over it the toilet, absolutely stunk to high heavens. The food was pretty bog standard I cannot see how this was an award-winning restaurant

Gorgeous food and a welcome novelty to be able to eat everything on the menu. I've seen some comments that the portions are small but found most okay except the wontons - there were two - so one each when sharing all dishes as my partner and I did, seemed a bit stingy! four would have been nice. We had 6 plates between us and dessert, very filling and satisfying all in all. Not the cheapest but wonderful for an occasion meal. We'll be back.

I’ve wanted to visit here for some time after hearing lots of good things. I popped in for lunch service and they were luckily able to accommodate me. The venue is beautiful, situated in a lovely courtyard and the building itself bursting with character. Service was friendly and efficient. The food, as anticipated, was delicious. It is tapas style and 2-3 dishes per person are recommended. For lunch I found 2 were sufficient for me. The food is wonderfully fresh and flavourful, other guests dining at the time were not vegan but were highly impressed with their dishes and all plates were returned empty. I can’t wait to revisit for dinner soon.

Very overpriced all tiny plates and I mean tiny like the size of a ten 10p sharing plates .One would require purchasing the entire menu in order to get a portion considered a meal . The food was ok nothing special no depth in flavours and some flavours didn't match together well , rather snooty staff won't be returning they also rip you off for service charges they add at the end was way more than average restaurants (they are tipping themselves) so basically an entire rip off. We ended up getting a delicious. dinner (non vegan) round the corner just opposite Eldern chambers after the pathetic excuse for a meal. Such a missed opportunity for a niche vegan market as were lacking amazing vegan food places in Nottingham but this place is clearly all about the money and the stairs to the toilet were a trip health hazard smelly pokey ,flush didn't work .NOT disabled friendly . Seating area was roasting and no windows to open need to go in a bikini so you don't overheat. Menu was printed in a ridiculously tiny font . Hidden charges at the end absolutely Tory MP style shenanigans going on here ! So overall I would say don't bother .

First time at the restaurant and it was a pleasant time. Food was lovely, especially the lemon dessert. However, although this is a tapas style place, would have preferred the portion sizes to be slightly more than what I got. Still a nice time was had and will go again.

It was a really good first experience of this restaurant, a great variety of dishes available to try . Waiting staff really attentive and friendly. It was fairly quiet on a Thursday evening at 7.30pm but we weren’t in the mood for it to be too busy so suited us.

Amazing food everything oozed quality and flavour. Took a large family group of varying ages and was concerned that some of them may be unhappy with the vegan menu. Shouldn’t have worried, they were all delighted. The staff were amazing and couldn’t be more helpful. A special shout out for Fern who works there, she has her own cake business and makes AMAZING cakes. A fantastic afternoon Birthday celebration all round.

We had an amazing time at Twelve: the menu is original, and the dishes really surprising. The service was fast and friendly.

Food was amazing and lovely atmosphere felt very initimate. Service was good but would have appreciated being told what the plates where when they were served and felt the service charge at 12.5% was on the high side for the service. 10% is more appropriate. Mark up on wine was high for an average bottle. Enjoyed the deserts and cocktails

Wonderful food and a place to go for a real treat. Favourites were the mushroom dim sum, celeriac with smoked corn and the rhubarb tart. Divine!

Marvellous to eat carbon neutral

The food was very well presented, with some interesting textures and flavours, though a tad too cheffy for my taste. Service was attentive and generally good. Never having had a satisfying experience of it outside of Spain, I think that the so-called 'tapas' style/delivery detracts from the offering. The atmosphere and indoor space was a bit stuffy: the outdoor seating area (though understandably closed on the chilly day of our visit) looked more appealing to me. Evidently No.12 work very hard on many aspects of their offering with much attention to important details.

Fantastic and creative tasting menu, whether you're vegan or not. Very knowledgable and attentive service. A cute little location and a relaxed atmosphere. Not as polished as other restaurants at this price point (and a slightly sticky table!) but the food made up for any roughness around the edges.

Food was amazing! So many different flavours. We had all of the small plates (between 4 of us) and every plate was excellent and unique. Never knew celeriac was so tasty! Second time we been there and the high standard has been consistent.

What can I say, the food is outstanding! The tasting plate special is a great way to sample different dishes. The Burrata… it’s hard to believe it’s plant based, just amazing! The waiting staff are friendly and knowledgeable however you can feel a little rushed at times. This is my 2nd visit and it did not disappoint. The new summer menu is wonderful and I would highly recommend this dining experience to anyone.

This restaurant is definitely worth a visit! The food was fantastic, and we enjoyed everything we ordered. The tiramisu dessert was a standout; it was incredibly delicious. The chocolate quenelle was particularly noteworthy, with its smooth texture and subtle hint of salt that added depth to the flavor. Paired with the cream, it was a delightful combination that we thoroughly enjoyed. It was the best tasting dessert I've ever had.

We chose the tasting menu and had a delicious meal. Every course combined a perfectly balance of flavour, beautifully presented. The drinks pairings further enhanced every course. The atmosphere is great - not stuffy, but not irreverent, in a building that gives the right acknowledgment of its historical origins. (unspoilt!!) The food was average which was a shame as we were so looking forward to "fine dining". We didn't like the fact that we booked the £65 dinner deal - thinking it was great value - then a service charge and a donation was added to our bill, taking it to nearly £90. Too awkward to take off due to the waitress asking loudly about it in a half empty, quiet restaurant. So we felt very pressured to pay it - a real shame as it wasn't worth that!

What a lovely place and meal. We had a lovely time with the taster menu. 9 courses of very different and tasty dishes. From the popadom and sourdough crisp-bread “snacks” to the palette cleanser orange sherbet, each course was delicious. We opted not to have the companion drinks, so the 9 courses were £65, which was incredibly good value for such high quality and taste. Each course was very beautifully presented and incredibly tasty.

Lovely staff and brilliant vegan food

My husband and I had a wonderful lunch at this hidden-gem and I can say this is the best plant-based restaurant we've been to by far. We appreciated all dishes are made of all vegetables and no meat substitutes and the chef brought out the best flavours and textures from them - which isn't easy to find. We had focaccia and pickles for starters. The pickles was so pretty and taste very lovely. My husband loved the mash and I loved the satay cauliflower. The rest of the dishes were equally impressive in terms of flavours, quality, creativity and craft. All dishes came in good portion (3 dishes to share between 2 are enough for a light lunch but we went for 4). Chocolate & matcha ganache tart was rich but just right level of sweetness & dark chocolate and perfect for sharing. The only feedback is the flavours were on a sweeter side - a tad too sweet for our preference but otherwise brilliant. It is worth noting great service. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Great selection of wine. Despite being a small restaurant, it felt cosy, bright and private. I'd highly recommend everyone to dine here if visiting Nottingham and I'd very much want to eat here again if I go to Nottingham next time x (It was our pre-anniversary meal and this made our day so perfect)
