Honestly a great place to be! The food is great, drinks taste as they should and the service is mediocrely fast. I love to go to this place.

Top pub, great value for money. Staff always really friendly and nothing is a bother.

I ordered 2 ‘meals of the day’. It advertised steak & a drink for £11.75. I was poised to tap my card when I realised I was actually being charged £36!! I queried it and was told “well the drinks you ordered are not included! (We ordered 2 lime and sodas). I changed the drinks and he recalculated at £29. I said sorry it’s £23.50 and he started to get rather agitated. Twice during my transaction he went off to help someone else and left me waiting. He finally recalculated at £24.50. Close but unfortunately not correct. He got angry and made me feel very uncomfortable like I was at fault. If I hadn’t been with my 84 year old mother I would definitely have walked out

We all (mostly) enjoyed the food and the drinks. Small gripe about the garlic flatbread being dusty on top and not cooked as it should be... (Two of our party are former Marstens assistant managers/temp pub managers, and when they tried it, they just made mention) App worked well for the food, although I'm told the voucher I received earlier for 30% off couldn't be used on it. (Can't confirm this, maybe the voucher was exclusive to me, and I didn't order or pay for the food.) I had no problems opening a tab and paying for drinks when we'd all finished, though. Friendly and efficient staff. 🙂 (One more thing, the ice cream on the desserts didn't seem quite right. Is it vegan? Or have you changed suppliers? It wasn't very creamy and seemed to have a lot of little ice crystals in it.)

Have lunch here once a month...constantly friendly and excellent food

Went for a girls get together and we were really impressedwith the food and friendly staff as the last time we went there it was under old management and the food was disappointing and service was rubbish. We had a selection of different meals and all were superb and then we all had cheesecake dessert which was also served beautifully and was delicious. I can definitely recommend this place now

Nice relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff and good food

Friendly staff, good service although as the pub got busier, service slowed down so I ordered by using the bar code on the table. The drinks arrived fairly fast. We sat outside, the tables are a bit rickety but we found one that was fairly solid.

Firstly the guy on the bar (dark hair and big beard) was EXTREMELY rude. Point at his ears for us to speak up over the music, clicking his fingers for us to hurry up our order. The pub itself wasn't clean food all over n full of feral children. We waited an hour nearly for a microwaved burger and chips and some warmed up breaded mushrooms that were meant to come with garlic mayo but didn't...it's like a worse version of spoons. Only good thing is prices...it's cheap so get what you pay for I guess. Won't be returning.

Absolutely rubbish ,waited 1 and half hour for food to come ,then it come on 2 settings meaning ppl had finished before other had got theirs!!! Rude waitress with attitude problem !!!

Called in today as we're local. Tried to order food , eventually 3rd time lucky they actually had something on menu available! Tall gent on bar extremely ride to say the least. Shocking customer service. Food came, not very presentable and not very warm, something wrong on order but when I went to question it was spoken to buy a young member (also rude) like I was thick! Was told because the order was my mistake they could do it again BUT I'd have to pay lol. No way! Not one ounce of customer service went into us today. Make no wonder it was dead! Don't waste your time, honestly better off throwing 60 pond down drain outside. Oh and health and safety not so clever either, playing pool with a dangling wire, wow.

Overall a lovely experience. I hated marking down for service because the servers were lovely, we just had quite a long wait. We were informed it would be but the food did take a long time. Having said that the atmosphere is great and the time passed quickly. When the food arrived it was delicious. We will Definitely go again and in fact after my recommendation my parents are going this week!!

Great atmosphere, nice food and great staff!

Service was quite slow and staff seems stressy when asking them questions. Food was ok average what you would expect for the price. The chairs and tables are a little tatty and broken.

We came in for food with our little boy. Ordered the pizza and loaded chips for us, fish fingers for the little one. The food was to die for. Toilets weren’t upto much however it didn’t spoil our dinner. Will defo be back again.

Not relaxing, alcahol way to expensive, bought Fish&CHips with peas, Fish was 10 out of 10, chips were not chips they are frys and not enough to feed a sparrow food is all slightly exoensive

Just called in the Norman in on the off chance after visiting tommy taylor's grave in monk bretton cemetary. The place was very nice, and friendly and hopefully will be back visiting again.

Had a nice meal from afternoon club menu 2 of us had prawn cocktail 1 had breaded mushrooms I had the fish and chips was lovely other 2 had hunters chicken said it was nice but chicken a bit dry but was happy £4.95 each serving staff lovely and friendly, efficient, man behind bar could be a bit abrupt but hey ho theres always 1 enjoyed our afternoon anyway

Love coming to this pub it’s only up street from me staff are lovely and the beer garden is nice and clean . The only downfall is I wish you would serve the baguettes all day like you used to

Visited Norman Inn recently for a funeral get together. The food was really nice and there was a good selection. The pub itself is modern and the staff are polite and friendly.

For the money you paid,u didnt get a lot of food,like the cowboy burger,it was like it was from wetherspoons with it been small 🙄

Good pricing for food, kids food is good, although last time we came they gave kids meals peppered sausage, so it was only mash that was eaten, I mean on a kids meal don't throw so much pepper on the food. Adults were alright,

We come to the pub most Wednesday for the quiz, we always get a warm welcome and the staff are all really friendly, the quiz is good fun and we look forward to going each week, I would definitely recommend checking it out.

Norman Inn is local to us, we love the staff and the food is great for the price. Would highly recommend to everyone including parties, they are always happy to accommodate.

This was for a reception after a funeral. Everything was perfect.

We used this venue for my mams wake after her funeral at monk bretton Church and graveyard as it is a local pub restaurant. It turned out to be an excellent choice, we had our own private part of the pub so all of our guests could be seated together ,then served with a delicious buffet with a good variety of dishes to choose from .staff were very helpful polite and friendly .made a very nice conclusion to our day .Will highly recommend the Norman Inn for future occasions. Thank you

Thank you so much for such amazing service. My daughter is coeliac and has a milk protein allergy. What a relief to find somewhere that takes allergies seriously. The chef came to check Lydia’s order and someone came to spray the table before she ate. The service was impeccable and I left fully confident that she will not be ill from the food. Thank you so much. Also Lyds said the cheeseburger was the best ever and she loves the vegan cheese. Amazing.

We waited 1hour and 10mins and the girl at the time didn't make us aware of how long it would be. My husband ordered a steak which was tuff, peas and mushrooms over cooked. Mt son had the kids hunters chicken, which well I don't think the piece of chicken could of been any smaller. My daughter had a fish, which she said tasted funny and wouldn't eat it. I ordered the chicken bugger, had no barbecue sauce in it and it was dry, the cheese didn't melt on the bugger has it wasn't hot and no Gravy with it. Yes we got the money back for mine but not the rest. The pub needs to look into how long it's taking to get the dinners and the quality of them as they should be a lot better.

Everything was top-notch! Great selection of drinks, super-helpful and friendly staff, massive parking lot and tonnes of tables! Also, dog friendly, so highly recommended!

A friendly pub , decent food and good atmosphere

Really disappointing. Over an hour's wait for pub grub and when it came the order was wrong (twice) Food was OK but not enough to recommend it to anyone, when we complained about the wait times we were told it's because they were busy - Don't have so many tables then if you haven't the staff to cope with demand. Place is lovely, staff were below average at best, won't be going again.

This is an update a year later, Mothers Day. Couldn't be more opposite from last year. My sister, who was in catering for 40 yrs, suspects it had all been precooked and reheated. The meat was a tell tale, you can tell from the texture, it was nice, but really the only nice thing on the plate. My Yorkshire was rock hard around the top, I couldn't actually cut it. The stuffing was like a large round bullet and didn't seem cooked enough the same with the pigs in blankets. The roast potatoes we pappy in the middle and why oh why was there a big spoon full of soggy red cabbage on top of it all. Hated it. We used a spare dish and all but one of us spooned our red cabbage into this dish. Finally the gravy wasn't thick enough and we weren't offered extra. The staff only came to ask us if it was OK when we had all finished. I will admit we did eat it because none of us wanted to cause a fuss on Mothers Day. A far cry from last years staff who couldn't help enough. Will we go next year. Sadly a big 'NO' on that one. Sadly I've changed my original 5 star to 2 stars. A huge change, I know. We had a great meal for Mothers Day. The staff handled all the extra work very well. All food for 8 of us was cooked perfectly. The only thing I might have a moan about is why they wanted to know if there were any special notes to add. It was also mums birthday the day after, and I'd added that to the reservation. It was not mentioned nor was there anything extra for mum. I think if each mum had received a flower or something, that would have been a nice touch but otherwise we all had a great time. We are a bit loud. Lol.

Absolute shocking service, food i blame management you know Mother’s Day is probably busiest days for you but to have only 2 members of staff on and then running out of food and not consulting us or offering a decent alternative 1hr 40 min wait £90 down drain know one even came and asked us if everything was ok thanks a lot going home with a upset mummy and going to order a take away as barley any food was eaten

Really enjoyed being there, didn't try the food, the atmosphere was good and I liked the way the manager guy talked to people, the staff were nice. Good place to chill. Good accessibility if you're disabled I think, nice garden but it was cold as it was a winter visit. There was a dog and watering places for dogs, dog friendly is good.

We had a great time as a family for my birthday, which is sometimes is difficult because of my allergies but I was very well looked after and great care was taken to make sure I was safe which I’m very grateful for and would like to say thank you to Maisy our barmaid especially

What a joke this place is 1 hour wait for food then it comes out cold £59 pound service very poor waited 40 minits to speak some one to make a complaint noone come to speak with me I have work in food chain for over 30 years table dirty carpet stinks of piss this place should be shut down female and male toilet looks like not had cleaner in 5 years

Me and the family go to the norman quite regularly. We enjoy the food, the ultimate spicy burger and loaded fries are bang on. 🤌🏼👍🏼 It's nice for the kids to play out the back while waiting as well, when it's not raining 🤣

It was good, good quality food. Really enjoyed my burger and chips, cowboy burger is my brothers go-to. My nannan loved her stake, my grandad loved his curry. And my dad adored his mixed- grill, awesome quality food. Nice friendliness, funny kind staff. Best pub all way round 👍

Excellent food, only complaint that we waited over a hour for food. This is second time this has occurred, the first time we were warned whilst ordering food that chef had gone home ill. Second time no warning of wait time.

A family had a party here. It cost a small fortune. The atmosphere was awful, the way things were set out meant people were separated from the rest. The food was ok but they forgot to make food for someone with dietary needs despite knowing about it well in advance, we definitely won't be going back.

Food was lovely staff acted like they didn’t want to be there no one asked if our food was ok no one came and cleared the table! Evidently different service when the owners aren’t there. Love this pub for quality and food and atmosphere but tonight wasn’t a good visit

It was a terrible experience it was like stepping into a children's s playground. Kids screaming and running around throwing the poolballs at each other.Booked to have a meal bought a drink had that and decoded to leave. I asked on booking for a table in a quieter Area. There wasn't a quiet Area. Children running around chasing each other and shouting. Will never return and warn all my family and friends to avoid.

Update on the norman inn My last wasn't the best but think I was a bit disappointed that Coors wasn't taken off the bar for san Miguel I've visited this place twice in the last 4 weeks once on our walk like we used for a pint and for food I had the mega mix grill which I enjoyed probably should have asked for some souce for the meat like peppercorn or something like that. They have verity of drinks on the bar from san Miguel, Carling, moretti Not sure about bottles but I've started to look in the fridge more now to see other options Food wise there is a good choice to pick from and deals depending on the day you go

Been today . We waited nearly one and a half hours for our meal . There were a few of us. The meals when they did arrive ,were absent of some of the items on the menue . I'm lucky enough to go out regularly for meals/lunches . I havnt been anywhere that I felt so annoyed at paying for the food ,given the poor waitress was rushed off her feet . Couldn't have a coffee as they didn't have a machine that worked. An expensive and very overpaid for meal . Won't be back

I often order the steak but swap the chips etc for side salad , Sometimes the side salad is good and worth it then other times extremely poor it’s not consistent at all.I did question this the time prior and was told it’s because of low stock.

This is a chain pub with chain pub food but cooked well considering. On the top side of chain food prices. Go to the bar to order. Staff ok but not fantastic. No atmosphere as such but not rowdy either. I gave 4 stars for everything but it wouldn't get 4 stars if it wasn't a chain

Very friendly accommodating staff.

We booked for lunch. The menu had a selection of choices including several vegan options in every couse, which was important to us. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was very good and not overpriced in my view. Our group had vegetarian chilli and Mac and Cheese. The portions were good as was the food. The only negative was the pub itself looks a little dated decor wise but it was clean.
