They play music for the entire neighborhood to endure. Run by vicious scumbags who have no respect for the neighborhood or the elderly. Evil pub and frequented by people who couldn't care less about the lives they ruin...not their fault it is the morally bankrupt owner who is responsible.

After two changes of landlord, the blind group were made to feel unwanted and uncomfortable. Sandwich prices were increased dramatically and contents were no longer suitable for vegetarians, also gluten free options were discontinued. The staff were not so friendly or amenable making it essential to find a new venue for our group. This establishment has since spent money outside but without the warmth that used to be experienced by groups such as ours then the future looks bleak for this establishment.

Absolutely disgraceful, not propper pizza cheese, poor customer service, not too sure why the manager is in a customer satisfaction service, totally has no customer service skills

They have a wide selection of drinks, proper ale and quality spirits which makes it the perfect spot for a night out with friends. Clean and nice place with pub games and music! Easily accessible. They have parking space for customers in their own private space. All in all a classic British pub! Definitely recommend trying it at least once ! I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Music is far too loud when functions are on ,can't hear yourself speak 😡

Not too bad but service was limited to one side when we was at a family gathering in another room.

Rude staff, lack of communication. Peoples belongings left around the room for us to move, If you book an event be prepared to pull the hoover out at the end of your night or you loose the deposit (you won't find this out until the night has ended), take a torch with you as again they just turn the lights off outside without speaking to anyone and letting them know, it was there way of telling us to leave and its very uneven flooring so pretty dangerous when leaving. They basically shoved us through the door but still had people drinking in the other side so obviously wasn't closing the pub just the function room. First and last time I'll be going here even the alcohol wasn't the best. £6 for malibu and lemonade that tasted like watered down cold lemonade.

We booked the function room for a family birthday party last night and, while the price to book the room was good value, we found the attitude and behaviour of the staff to be at odds with the positive reviews we saw when booking the venue. Firstly, when we arrived to set up the room, we had to move people's possessions that had been left with no help from the staff as to where to put them. An iron was also left on the bar for the entire evening. The staff argued when we started using our own speaker, despite the one provided not being loud enough for purpose. Also, they didn't call last orders so nobody was aware when the bar was finishing service. Worst of all, we overheard the staff complaining about us using confetti, and when we pulled them up on it, were told we wouldn't get our deposit back due to confetti being spread around the room. We were never told we couldn't use this (we weren't told anything throughout the process after paying the deposit) and the staff saw us set everything up and didn't say anything until the end of the night. All in all, the staff were rude and largely unhelpful and I wouldn't recommend booking this venue.

Had a suprise birthday last night 3rd September 22 and had a good night with my guests but was upset as staff and their friends slagging over confetti on floor which my daughter was never told about it was wanting to fight with my guests all Infront of my grandchildren as wasn't happy as they was upset wouldn't recommend booking

This is one of the best bars in barnsley its allways busy and freindly the prices are probably the best in town!!! You can sit by yourself or its quite easy to find company i allways enjoy going here nice pitt stop on shopping day i would highly recomend a visit if you want cheering up brill pub and ive had some very good pub grub hot and fast the staff are cool aswell i could go on but check it out for yourself i dont think you will be dissapointed?!?!
