Noodle Inn Centro in Sheffield

We are a fairly regular user but disappointed now that prices have gone up! 😕 Sept 2024 There has been further increase in prices again - unlikely to visit now 😓

Staff were very friendly, food was good and a choice of seating was available.

Ordered mixed vegetable chow mein from them as 'Vegan Centro' on Deliveroo. Nearly swallowed a large metal staple (?) in my noodles. Tried to raise complaint via Deliveroo but gave up after their overly convoluted process. Still don't know what this is that I nearly swallowed.

This place was a family favourite but unfortunately, the prices keep going up and the plate sizes keep getting smaller so we won't be returning so disappointing. We wouldn't mind paying more for a big portion but it looks like they are providing a lot less than before per plate. This is the same for both branches on West street and London road. On our final visit to the West street branch, we walked out after eating a starter as the male staff member was rude when tried to explain that they had got our main meal order incorrect. We have been going to both branches for over ten years, such a shame.

Food is really good and hot on arrival. But sent a meat dish instead of the vegetarian option that I ordered. They sent the right one out. But still a pain 😕

We used to come here a lot during Uni days and all I can say is: w t f? Just look at the 3 different dishes we ordered? They look almost identical. This tells me the chef is cutting corners to save time or they have no concept about Authentic Cantonese food.

The food was delicious but was cold because of the delivery. It was out for delivery 20 minutes before we got it

Noodle Inn Centro is located in Sheffield city centre. It provides variety of Chinese dishes. Food and service are good. Price is reasonable.

the mock chicken in black bean sauce was nice, however the salt and pepper mock chicken wasn't very good.

The texture of the salt and pepper chicken and chips were absolutely amazing so crispy and fresh. I do wish it had more of the salt and pepper flavour to it, but over all it was probably one of the best Chinese I’ve ever had. 👍👍

An authentic Chinese lunch 🥢We wanted to stay true to actual Chinese cuisine and not be swayed by 'westernised' options. We were recommended to try the Salt & Chilli Chicken Slices 椒盐鸡片, Dan Dan Noodles (担担面) & Village Style Braised Beef Brisket with Radish 家常萝卜牛腩饭 Thank you Amy for your incredible hospitality and for a wonderful dining experience in your busy restaurant, we will be back with friends 🙏🏻

We have had some mixed experiences but its gotten better lately. They do a huge vegetarian and mostly vegan menu and we love the noodle platters too! Great value and nice to eat in they seem really busy with takeaways too so we see it as a good sign and look forward to trying more the starters, satay, and mock duck noodles were delicious indeed

Poor quality Ubereats delivery - the crispy duck was burnt, the egg fried rice was dry and bland and the salt and pepper chicken was chewy and greasy. The king prawn noodles were ok and the only item that raised this review above 1 star. Will not order again.

Ordered takeaway through deliveroo, no update on food, and was pushed back from 30mins to 1:30mins, when we called to check on the food, the server was rude

Really nice Chinese with great well labelled vegan options, green menu nearly all vegan. Some of the best salt and chilli chips we've had, really recommend the garlic broccoli, sweet and sour mock chicken balls and the satay mock chicken skewers

Don't eat the udon noodles. The others are delicious.

Special fried rice had very little flavour and large chunks of tasteless white item I'm still not sure of what it is after eating it. Wings were nice

Phoned restaurant 8 times to chase order. Only got through twice. All food cold. Driver apologetic and said accident meant took 40 minutes to get to us. Would have still been 40 minutes late anyway.

I am writing this after a very fulfilling and scrumptious dinner with my friends. The set meal B not only exceeded expectations, but filled a hole in my long day, and my stomach. The bonding I experienced with my gadges is something that can’t be paid for, but only experienced by coincidentally finding a fine East Asian establishment on a Saturday night. After walking back to the hotel after my delicious meal, walking past all the drunks and lifeless souls of Sheffield, all I could think about is my gratitude for this food being a part of my life.

The items came very late and were NOT hot at all! Cold items came & driver said it was so much traffic in the road or something like that

If you’re not the delivery time had been close, it wasn’t and sadly it was cold. Although the app had said with courier and then enjoy your food and yet we hadn’t received the order, please don’t take us for fools be honest be on time especially on a Tuesday evening answer the phone when we have paid for food that’s not arrived on your time stated …..30 mins late is too long to then deliver cold food !!! Come on do better please!!! I work hard for my money

Good food in good time! I was a bit apprehensive given the mixed reviews but the food was great. I enjoyed the mock chicken, noodles, rice and salt and chilli chips. Would’ve been a bit better if they did salt and pepper/chilli chicken and mock chicken.

Disappointing Prawn crakers soft Food just poor

Food is absolutely amazing! Staff are friendly and, if asked, will help you choose the right meal you want to try. I had the belly pork meal with fried rice that tasted great! The other meal was a chicken with cashew nuts. Portions are generous, so much so that we took the rest home. If you ask the staff, they will give you takeaway trays with a bag. Definitely need to try if you want authentic Chinese food. Thank you, we are coming back.

have been this restaurant few times, there was no disappointment everytime. look for the special offer every visit. the dishes were in generous protion. my friend who visited me from London said, some dishes were at least as twice big as her experienced in sone London restaurant. food is tasty snd price is reasonable. the bowl of soup is enough for six people.

Noodle Inn, best place go eat in Sheffield bar none, atmosphere is great; the prices are cheap, per meal £10-15, 1 meal feeds 2 people. Me and my fiends always joke that the leftovers you take home, you would pay more at most Chinese takeaways. There's also complimentary icecream, love it.

Absolutely disgusting customer service!!! Ordered on Uber eats, they gave our order to the WRONG driver who obviously did not deliver to us, our driver went to pick up the order and was told it's already gone. He called us so we called the restaurant and they just said it's gone out sorry can't help. So no food and they refused to fix the issue, the driver was told to basically go away. Disgusting customer service!!!!! Was a £40 order and they literally couldn't have cared less. Will never order again, so rude!!!!

Fantastic portions at a fantastic price. Went for a family meal and I ended up tucking into my family's leftovers. Very tasty and up there with the best Chinese I have ever had. A great service along with free ice-cream.

If this is the place I think it is, good food, staff tried to be helpful but didn't have a good grasp of English. Still, an enjoyable meal.

This comment is specifically for mainland friends. The taste is just so-so, but I really don’t want to go there. They specialize in serving Hong Kong and British people. I came in to order food at 12:10 today, but no food was served until 12:50. Just ordered 4 dim sum. Later, all the Hong Kong people were served, but my table was the only one in the whole room that was not served. Tell me the glutinous rice chicken is gone. As a result, I saw two glutinous rice chickens on the next table. The child was so hungry that he cried. As a result, the three waiters avoided eye contact. It’s not like you have to overturn the table with your daughter on the spot. Cao! Rubbish! Just slap your butt and leave without waiting. There is a China Town next to it, so it’s okay to have snacks.

I went here in my first month at uni. As a uni student, the prices are a little dear, but I can accept that when I'm met with fast and delightful service, high quality of food and authentic cuisine. I ordered Szechuan village-style pork belly with a side of fried rice. There was plenty of food for my cousin and I, with even enough left to take home in a takeaway box. As I said, the staff were friendly and the restaurant was a pleasant environment in a good location. Will definitely be going back again sometime. :)

Me and my partner visited late this evening after another restaurant we intended to visit nearby was empty. for around 8pm on a Sunday the restaurant was pretty busy. staff were super polite but the food was great! Hugeeeee portions and fantastic value for money! my partner had a ramen which came in the biggest bowl i have ever seen! and i had a Sunday special! lots (and i mean lots) of roast meats and rice. Would absolutely visit again!

Awful, just awful. Greasy & the meats do not resemble meat whatsoever. Will never revisit this establishment again & the stomach pains afterwards were immense. Weirdly there were full tables so it must be a favourite of sone but for why I cannot understand. Stick to Pho instead!

The ribs were basically just fat and they also gave us the wrong dish. Chicken when we ordered king prawns (chicken is of course less expensive). Some of the food was nice but was disappointed they couldn’t get our order right and it was expensive for what it was. No prawn crackers free like most places either!

Great. Kung Pao King prawn dish had 8-10 big prawns (thought there would only be 4-5). Garlic ribs and plain udon were 😋😋😋. Crab Soup was meh, only 4-5 tiny crabs. Overall satisfied, valued chinese food and good delivery (early). Packaging could be more sustainable (some liquidy food were in plastic).

I ordered food from this here on Uber eats. I had to wait around an hour for the food and still got delivered the WRONG items. I am a vegetarian and ordered vegetables noodles but was given chicken rice. When I tried to call them about the issue, the lady who picked up started saying she can’t do anything and hang up the phone suddenly. I tried again to speak to the restaurant and the same result. Not only are the staff rude, but also unwilling to apologise or compensate for their mistakes. I will not be buying from here again as they do not give refunds or send you your actual order.

Food was gorgeous and reasonably priced. The vegetarian menu is the best I’ve ever seen- fantastic variety. The staff were lovely and even taught my friend how to use chopsticks. Would absolutely eat here again!

The Beef Slices with Green Peppers in Black Bean Sauce Fried Noodles, Chinese Noodle was very dry. No black bean sauce and no green peppers Beef was dry.

The Singapore style noodles was mild. Not much curry powder.

They didn't send me what I ordered unfortunately. I was hungry so ate what they sent but I'd ask the staff to be more careful in future and check orders

Delivery was late, bad service from driver, cold food on arrival and undercooked meat

I placed the order at 12.27pm. It was delivered at 2.55pm. The food was lukewarm when it arrived. That is more than 2 hours. That is not good. I could have walked to the restaurant and back. I was given a delivery estimate of 1.25 to 1.45pm.

It's always a gamble ordering from a Chinese that you haven't ordered from before. This was good. Kung Pao chicken was how it's supposed to be and the noodles were fine. I would say only that there could have been a bit more noodles but this was nice, whereas there's no shortage of Chinese places that hand out massive portions but the quality isn't as good.

Absolutely the worse Chinese in sheffield. BUYER BEWARE.... what an absolute joke. Noodles burnt oily and covered in msg rice was hard and severely undercooked, the diners to the left of me also stated this. The salt&chilli ribs had zero meat on them and again covered in msg. The staff slow and unresponsive and didn't say a word when took full plates off table, the reason they didn't ask why I'd left it? Because they knew. So many options for Chinese cuisine in sheffield, unfortunately this has gone down hill badly. Today was the last straw, we will never ever be back here. You've been warned. F-

Wow a fantastic experience food service atmosphere excellent.

Comfortable, moderately priced, little Chinese restaurant squarely aimed at the local Chinese student population, so you will get an authentically Chinese experience. The food is excellent, and portions are big enough for hungry students. The atmosphere is much more intimate than the Noodle Inn on London Road. If you really want your food brought in definite courses, as in starter, then main course, make sure the staff understand that. Or don't order your main course until you have your starters in front of you. Otherwise you will get your dishes Chinese style, arriving almost all together, in whatever order the kitchen finishes them.

The estimated delivery time was 8-825, but were still waiting on our food at 9.35. I baked the restaurant twice and they assured me that food is on its way, but the driver hasn't turned up 45 minutes later. The app says 'delivered' but this is untrue I would like a refund

Food is really good but it could be a bit hotter otherwise perfect.

The food was 2 and a half hours later than the expected delivery time. I don’t even know how that’s actually possible. We rang them when it was an extra half an hour late, the woman initially couldn’t understand what we were asking but eventually said it would be 10 minutes. We rang when it was an hour late and said it still wasn’t here, the phone was passed to someone that could actually understand us and she said she would call the driver. When it was an hour and a half late we called twice and they refused to pick up. We asked Just Eat for a refund at that point and funnily enough one hour later (roughly enough time to rushedly make and deliver our food in the hopes they didn’t have to give us a refund) our food was here. They took a whole three and a half hours to prepare our food and it wasn’t even worth the price when it arrived. However, I can’t fault them on their ability to deliver confusion and sadness at great speed! It was certainly a unique experience :)
