SPICE LOVERS SHOULD COME. The Padron Pepper Bibimbap is a flavorful dish that hits all the right notes. The homemade garlic chili sauce ties everything together with a spicy kick, and the Sichuan pickles and green cowpeas add a tangy, slightly sour punch that keeps things interesting. Pair it with the watermelon yuzu juice for a refreshing, citrusy taste, and the lychee juice for a sweet, tropical touch. Together, they make for a satisfying and unforgettable meal.

I recently discovered a hidden gem in Liverpool Street that serves bullfrog noodles, a dish I deeply missed since moving to the UK. Their bullfrog noodles are nothing short of amazing, with rich, flavorful sauce coating every strand of the perfectly cooked noodles. The frog legs are tender and juicy, providing a satisfying bite. Additionally, the restaurant offers a delightful selection of side dishes. Their spring menu features standout dishes like bullfrog noodles and shrimp noodles. This time, I tried the bullfrog noodles, and I can’t wait to come back for the shrimp noodles next time. The signature chopped chili beef rice bowl is another highlight, with spicy, tender beef that complements the rice perfectly. I also loved their spicy beef jerky, which is sweet, chewy, and pairs well with a drink. The wasabi shrimp balls are a crispy, golden treat with fresh shrimp inside, especially delicious with mayonnaise. To top it all off, the lychee ice jelly is a refreshing, visually appealing dessert that’s perfect for summer. This restaurant not only brought back fond memories but also introduced me to new, exciting flavors. Highly recommended!

I have been here many times before and nothing beats the spicy beef noodles which have a fiery level of spice and a beautiful, rich flavour that puts a huge smile on my face every time I visit. With fantastic service to boot, this is a must-visit restaurant for anyone looking for authentic Chinese food in Shoreditch.

I don’t normally write reviews but I have to say that the staff are Very friendly and provided Excellent service. Noodle and Beer serve Szechuan Style Chinese food which is normally salty and has a lot of chilly spice. People need to take note of this… It is not a restaurant serving Cantonese style food. Which is what UK people are used to eating. However, I would say that the Owners need to read reviews and take note of improvements such as inappropriate music style and perhaps cost £. I hope more people try this place. The food was certainly “different” to the traditional Chinese fair that people are used to in the UK. 😊

My second time here and it didn't disappoint. Service was excellent and attentive without being intrusive and the food was amazing I'm a big fan of Sichuan peppers so I may be biased but this is the best Chinese meal I've had in this country and better than some I've had in China.

Best noodle flavour I’ve had in a long time. There is enough mince meat leftover that I would recommend ordering a extra portion of noodles and sharing the dish between two. Lovely decor and service.

Good food. But we booked the place weeks in advance and they did not tell us they had no alcoohol permit. So we had to buy it outside.

I went to Noodles and Beer because I was looking for a restaurant near my hotel that wouldn't be too crowded. It was cold, so the prospect of a hot bowl of noodles and a beer was appealing. Imagine my surprise, when I saw that all the beers listed on the menu were non-alcoholic. They did offer a BYOB option for 2GBP for each beer and 4GBP for wine (capped at 4GBP). I ordered Niu Rou Mian, which had a one chili pepper spice level. It was not spicy at all and the meat, which was not too fatty but not quite as tender as I had hoped. The broth was flavorful, though. My husband's Suan Cai You Fen had more of a kick and was the better dish. Both had nice clean flavors, with not a lot of oil. Service was attentive (my water glass got refilled multiple times). The other reviewer complained about not knowing about the service charge, but including a 12-13.5% service charge is pretty standard with London restaurants. At the time of payment, they do ask if the charge is ok. Overall, a decent eating experience, though I really wish they had beer.

Went in, got seated. Wanted to order some beers, got as explanation that this was not possible due to their license being expired for a month. They suggested me to go for a mocktail. Price was not shown on the menu... A whooping 8pounds for a simple mocktail! They additionally charge you a 13% service fee! Which is not mentioned on the menu! Pure SCAMMING TECHNIQUE, STAY CLEAR. On a plus note, food was good but waaaay overpriced.
