Do not recommend eating here if you have an allergy. Especially nuts. Went to eat here and made it very clear about my allergy yet they didn’t inform me about all sauces being cooked in peanut oil, despite knowing my allergy. Luckily no severe reaction occurred but i couldn’t say the same for others if they were in my position. Allergies are not taken at all seriously here so definitely would not recommend eating here with any sort of allergy as it’s extremely dangerous.

It was my first time on a business trip to Manchester, and my colleagues and I found a noodle shop that looked good near the hotel! It tastes really good! Especially the tofu wrapped in milk (BBQ flavor) is amazing! A must-try when visiting the store! I ordered the bamboo shoot beef noodles. The meat was so awesome and filling! But the taste is a bit sweet. I like spicy food, so I added a lot of chili peppers, but it still doesn't work! I’ll have to order the pickled pepper chicken noodles next time! The overall experience is good! You can also pay via WeChat, which is very convenient! 😊

Wow, just WOW! Noodle Alley isn't just a restaurant - it's a full-sensory journey to the heart of Sichuan. From the moment the aromatic chili oils hit your nostrils, you know you're in for something extraordinary. The Dan Dan Noodles are an absolute revelation - perfectly chewy noodles swimming in a complex, nutty sauce that builds from savory to tongue-tingling heat in the most addictive way.

⭐ 5 Stars – A Hidden Gem in Chinatown! ⭐ I stumbled into Noodle Alley on a gloomy Sunday, not expecting much—what I got was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment I walked in, the team made me feel like I was part of their family and culture, despite dining alone. Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality made all the difference. I ordered a halal Chinese chicken noodle soup, and let me tell you—absolute perfection. The broth was deep, rich, and full of bold flavors with just the right amount of spice. Every spoonful was comforting and electrifying at the same time. They even surprised me with free wontons, which were impossible to resist. The food was so good that I unintentionally influenced an Irish travelling family at the next table to order the same thing—and they loved it just as much! Service was lightning-fast, drinks arrived almost instantly, and the whole place had a gorgeous, inviting ambience. The girls working there? Absolutely stunning—inside and out. You can tell they take real pride in what they do, and I respect, love, and learned so much from this experience. Honestly, if you’re in Manchester and haven’t been to Noodle Alley yet—what are you doing? Get yourself there ASAP. I’ll definitely be back. Huge thanks to the team for turning my ordinary Sunday into something special.

Where do I start? Incredible food, loads of great veggie options for me, and not the usual fake meats or boring options. The Mapo tofu was delicious, but the aubergine was even better! Absolutely loved the spicy noodles and the deep fried oyster mushrooms were perfection. It's a great little spot that everyone should try, it's proper Szechuan so you get that nice numbing chilli feel. It's also really well priced compared to a lot of places in Manchester these days. I think meat eaters would struggle to not order the whole menu! Went at Chinese NY and got a table which we weren't expecting.

Came here on a recommendation.. ordered drinks that didn’t arrive . I wanted a wine before my meal - that I had to leave as it arrived half way through. Ribs were tasty enough . Pork belly dish too fatty and king prawn noodles for £17 had 5 prawns and was quite bland and oily. My main reason for such a low score was the way we felt so rushed ! Restaurant was busy .. but not full or people queuing .. yet 3 times somebody tried to take our plates when we was still eating ! If there’s still food on the plate .. please don’t try and take it away !! Zero customer service .. just felt they wanted us in and out. We literally got our bill as soon as we finished and I left almost a full glass of wine. Felt like just cash opportunities rather than welcomed customers.

I’ve been here a few times before - and don’t get me wrong, the food and service has always been excellent - but this time I had the mapo tofu and to say it was the best bite of food I’ve had in a long time is an understatement. I went with my partner whom I had met at university, and when we were in university there was a Chinese restaurant that we thought was pretty good. One bite of this mapo tofu later and we have changed our baseline standards. This is what mapo tofu should taste like. This is what Szechuan cuisine should be. Big thanks to Wendy and her team for creating such a great establishment in Manchester :)

We came after being told that they served halal beef and chicken but it was only some of the chicken dishes. The chicken noodles were just noodles thrown in some chicken soup with no flavour, it needs salt, I have even asked if they could make it spicier on demand (no spicy 🌶️ indication on menu) when ordering but I was only told to use the chilly oil with sesame on the side which unfortunately that didn't pack any flavour at all. The fried wings and the cold chicken, and spring rolls were very good but the main wasn't.

Another spot I visited based on a local’s recommendation! You will not leave hungry after dining here! I ordered the "Wan Za Mian" noodles, the Steamed Beef Strips Wrapped With Five Spiced Rice Powder, Sweet and Sour Ribs, and the Homemade Pork Dumplings with Sweet Soy Sauce and House Special Chilli Oil. I have to say, if you like the tingly numbness type spice, you will enjoy a lot of stuff here! I’ll start with my least favorite - the steamed beef strips were just ok, fairly overwhelming with spice (and I love spicy food). The ribs were simply disappointing. Not sure if I just got a bad batch, but there seemed to be way less meat on them than in the photo, and they were overcooked/not very tender. The sauce was just plain and slightly sweet. I wouldn’t order either of these again. Mind you, although these weren’t my favorite, I would go back for the other two dishes I had. For my favorite dishes - the noodles with minced pork and chili oil were delicious! The sauce was flavorful and sort of turned into a thicker paste when mixed. I will say the person next to me with the noodles with fresh vegetables and crushed peanuts that looked even better! Can’t go wrong with either of those. My absolute favorite dish, and the one I would return for is the homemade pork dumplings! They were SO flavorful with lots of seasoned pork inside, and cooked to a perfect tenderness with nice chewy texture. And the SAUCE! Omg the chili oil/sweet soy sauce? I could drink it, and put the extra sauce on my remaining noodles lol. Go here, even if it’s just for these!!

I’ve eaten here a few times, and each visit has been a delightful surprise. I never expected to find such authentic Sichuan noodles in Manchester! The owner is very generous with the ingredients—the bowl of beef noodles is topped with plenty of beef, and the smoky flavor of the bamboo shoots instantly brings me back home. The taste is absolutely spot on! The fresh chili beef noodles are also excellent, though the only minor downside is that the fresh chili isn’t xiaomi la (super spicy chili), which takes away a bit of its essence. That said, it’s definitely more approachable for those who can’t handle too much spice. I’ll absolutely be coming back!

This might just be one the best Chinese restaurants in Manchester, with a specialty in Sichuanese cuisine. The braised pork knuckle rice is truly a standout. The dish strikes a perfect balance between softness and chewiness, with the gelatin-rich portions delivering a rich, indulgent texture. While pork knuckle may not be the most celebrated cut in the UK, it’s revered in both Chinese and German cuisines when prepared with skill—and this restaurant does it justice. The service is attentive, and I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing the menu and the restaurant itself evolve over the past year. Here’s hoping they continue to thrive and serve as a shining example of high-quality, daily Chinese cuisine in Manchester.

I visited Manchester City again after 7 years and blindly selected this restaurant in Chinatown. Let me share my overall experience: 1. The restaurant design is very reminiscent of Chengdu tourist attractions, which is great; 2. I personally gave the food of this restaurant four stars because I like spicy food very much, but the spiciness is not quite right😂😂. The overall food is great and the taste is authentic; 3. The restaurant service staff are friendly and the dining experience is great; 4. Support discounts by credit card or cash (5%); Overall: This store is worth recommending to children who like spicy food and pasta. Haven’t been to Manchester for over 7 years, and here’s the random restaurant found in Chinatown: 1. The design looked like the tourist sightseeing which was really cool; 2. The food can be much more spicy if you like spicy food (could ask the chef to make the food hotter 🤣) 3. Very friendly environment with good staff, had a good experience of eating there; 4. Could paid by card or cash( 5% for cash payment). Overall, a good restaurant that personally I would recommend for people who like spicy n noodle foods 😉

Looking for asian food after watching the football match at old Trafford . Me and my husband order the beef noodle, five spicy steam beef and spicy dumping (I can't remember the name). As a hong konger, All we expect are the same typical spicy taste for 3 different dishes . However, these 3 different product tastes are completely different and totally out of my expectations. So we order Sichuan cold noodle which also very tasty ! It takes more than 20 mins for the table during the dinner time, but it is definitely worth it! If you are from Hong Kong, the dishes in this restaurant are not just spicy and spicy, but have different flavors! So amazing! I usually eat Tan Chai 10 spicy noodles the most. Kuanzhai Alley looks very spicy, but it is actually Ma Tong spicy spicy food. If it is from Hong Kong, it will be very popular 😆 Highly recommend their beef noodles and cold noodles! This restaurant was recommended by a staff member in another restaurant we had visited the evening earlier. Describing Noodle Alley as somewhere that was causing a buzz we came to check it out. Everything on the menu looked pretty spicy! But some were and some definitely not at all, the dumplings were delicious, they had a slight chew on the pastry and the filling was meaty and succulent, I hate when the pork mix is too fatty, this was less so and much more enjoyable. The ribs were tasty and invited you to pick them up and nibble round them to get every last bit of meat off them, the brisket noodle dish I chose was to die for, savoury, umami, fresh noodles with the right alkalinity for a good chew with each bite, and a rich spicy broth what was flavoursome and not to oily. The value for money was incredible for four of us we had our mains, drinks and sides for £25 each. The service was excellent, the staff care that you're enjoying your meal and a lovely touch at the end we're some passion fruit polo type sweets which were wonderful as palette cleansers! I'd definitely go back again and I'd work my way through the menu - it gets busy so try and book to avoid disappointment.

Dreadful! Service was surly, dumplings were ok but the pork knuckle was tasteless and the broth it was in was just onion water. The noodles were under cooked and all taste of salt and chili,no flavour at all! £25 a head for dreadful food. The adjoining restaurants have queues, clearly for good reason. Avoid.

Definitely a memorable experience in terms of flavours, really enjoyed our meals. Portions are adequate, presentation is lovely, service is fast, huge fan of handmade noodles and the sauce that goes with it. The sweet and sour ribs are a great choice, the sauce isn't your typical sweet and sour, and it's fantastic. The filling in the dumplings kinda didn't fill the whole dumpling, nor did it stick, instead it kinda fell out once you cut through the dough. Didn't bother me much, just saying, it could be slightly better. Overall all the food and service was great.

Great noodles! One of the best places for Chinese noodles I ever tried in the UK.

Wouldn’t go here what so ever. Not accomodating towards customers who wish to make simple changes too dishes. Never have i felt so much anxiety in a restaurant as this place. Staff barely spoke English making it hard to explain what you wanted. The staff wanted to take certain peoples coats from back of chairs to place them in a cloak room. £2.80 for a can of coke which they probably get for 20p if that. I will not be back too noodle alley ever. If possible this would be a 0 star review. Was left very upset and anxious following my visit.

Overall great hotel, service, and experience! Staff was friendly and they let us check in early. We used points and breakfast was included which saved us so much time and money on our itinerary. The food was fresh and they had some gluten free options which was nice. It is a bit out of the center of Manchester so we did need to get Ubers to get to places and back. Lastly, they have washers and dryers for laundry which were perfect for our needs. Would definitely come back to stay.

I've been a few time's and it's always hard decide what to order as there's such a wide range of what to choose and the food is so consistent, I usually get served by the same woman and she is very pleasant, welcoming, knows the menu well and makes you aware of what they haven't got as your looking at the menu.
