First time visit had been recommended by friends & definitely worth a visit,staff so friendly, lovely relaxed restaurant ,the food was a wow piping hot & very tasty ,good size portions, I had the pollo chicken was so moist the sauce was delicious hubby had the carbonara with he loved overall would highly recommend

We had a really lovely experience at Nonnos. A warm welcome into the dining area with a nice buzzy atmosphere. The food was really fresh and tasty. It would be good to see a few more vegetarian options on the menu though. All staff who served us were so professional and friendly from start to finish. We will look forward to visiting again soon 😊

Excellent for those with coeliacs disease! I have been coming to Nonno's for years now and have only ever received excellent service, delicious food, and a lovely atmosphere. I have coeliacs disease, so I have to follow a strict gluten-free diet, and the staff always treat it very seriously and with understanding. I know how hard it can be to find places I can eat out safely, but Nonno's is top of my list. I often get anxious eating out because of how many times I've been caught out in places, but Nonnos is not one of them, I feel safe, looked after, and can relax eating there. What makes it better is the food - it is delicious every single time. It's the best Italian food I've ever had. The GF pizzas are incredible! Even if we don't go to the restaurant, we order these for takeaway. The choice for someone with ceoliacs disease is great, I can order about 90% of the menu! I've tried so much there, and it's ALWAYS been incredibly delicious! Thank you, Nonno's, and all the lovely staff there that make it a wonderful and safe place for me.

This restaurant is as good as any in Italy if you haven't been here you are missing out. Great food constantly good and impeccable service

Service ok till starters then short of drinks at main course, no cutlery for desserts and yes you guessed no more drinks . Food ok but service feels like you should book elsewhere

We ordered a takeaway meal to pick up and eat at home. Everything was delicious and had been served and packed to stay hot as well as looking attractive. Definitely something we will do again in the future.

Visited Nonno's Pizzeria for the first time the other evening. Felt very Covid safe and staff were very attentive. Enjoyed a very tasty Italian dish. Wanted to try the pizza but there have been issues with the pizza oven for nearly a week now so a bit disappointed. Anyway enjoyed the food is very pleasant surroundings........maybe pizza next time...

Nonnos at green lane was superb, however since moving to the pizzeria I didn’t have the same experience that I received in the many times I went before. The food tasted nice however there was a lack of attention to detail as one of dishes had different options for serving and was presented with the incorrect option. We waited for close to 8 minutes awaiting for cutlery which was not set out before receiving our meals causing them to go tepid. I feel like the new appointed staff need more training as they weren’t very attentive and many times forgot to do things which Ed we asked of them. The original staff were of top quality and I hope the next time that I return nonnos the staff are of the same standard as they used to be. I know this restaurant is good just currently the staff aren’t up to standard and I hope the restaurant can improve there staff.

what can i say. This place is probably the best for miles around. Good food and excellent staff. You will want to come back again!

Came here last night to take advantage of the eat out to help out scheme.we usually go to nonnos on green lane so our 1st visit.really busy an great atmosphere,loved the decor too.service was fab an very friendly.i had the lamb rump an hubby had fillet steak rossini.both were devine! Cannot fault either,cooked to perfection.nice bottle of house wine and a beer all for £46!! Absolute bargain.if you havnt tried nonnos before your a fool!!!

Most excellent cuisine - the best Italian restaurant we have ever eaten at. The food is amazing, recommend the mussels and monk fish ! Very tasty. Excellent service and friendly staff, Roberto was amazing. Layout and spacing of tables and social distancing is perfect. Great job. Good value for money and will definitely be going there again.

Mistakingly booked here thinking it would be as nice as the other nonno's in town. Unfortunately it's not a patch on that one. Part of my order was not delivered until I had nearly finished my meal.Sent it back but it was still on the bill. Sat for over half an hour without being ask if we would like more drinks.Nice pizza but bread from co op and olives more lidl. Not urthentic in the slightest. Felt very rushed by staff, in the end this wasn't a bad thing. Ment we could leave quicker.

Very atmospheric, and excellent food. Forget Pizza Express - this is in another league. Run by the same people as Nonno's Restaurant, and to the same standards.

26/10/19Amazing food and amazing atmosphere.However, me and my wife were served by a rude young lady with black hair and drawn on eyebrows who treated us poorly all night I suggest you remind this particular waitress to start using deodorant before her shifts.

Dined here as a party of 18 for a birthday meal. Food, service and staff were all spot on, couldn't fault anything - highly recommended.

It’s been a while since we have been here. Called for dinner as a walk in Plenty of tables ,so we had a choice Food and drinks order taken. The food was perfect , seasoned just rightWhy after the chef has cooked and seasoned the food do Italian waiters always ask DO You want black pepper ,before you have even tried the food, seems daft to me Is it just an Italian thing? I quite like the food here, but its pretty run of the mill. It’s not what I would call particularly amazing, just nice, and a place to just have food, if that makes sense. The staff are quick to serve. The price is just a little too much, in my opinion. I had the chicken in a creamy sauce, which was served with cubed pan fried potatoes, carrots and broccoli...the veg was separately served in bowls. There were three of us eating that evening, and the veg was served between us, which wasn’t enough. The chicken breast was tiny, so I didn’t feel satisfied. It’s a nice place, but not wow.

Don’t let the name fool you they do lots more than pizza. This is the second time that we’ve been both were great visits. There is a varied menu, my wife and I shared the calamari starter which was delicious. I had the penne arabiatta with prawns, two of the party had the seafood spaghetti, one pizza and one chicken in cream sauce, all were nicely cooked and had great flavour. We finished off with desserts all round. All in all a great casual place for a great Italian meal.

Really great pizzas! Best we've had in ages. Really big in size, generous toppings and really fairly priced. Would definitely recommend.

Booked a large party of 23 to dine here on Saturday night and from initial booking to pre ordering the food to eating there I have to say it was fantastic. The food was amazing and was served all together no problem. Highly recommended.

This was our first visit and can honestly say from the moment we walked in the staff were fabulous, welcoming and had excellent customer service. We decided to choose the Pizza for Mains and one of our guests had the Aubergine Bake, the pizzas were as good if not better than the ones I have had in Italy. I am looking forward to visiting Nonno's again very soon.

We visited recently for the first time and were very pleasantly surprised with what we found. A lovely pizzeria with a inviting atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. We opted for the Sicilian and Parma pizza's, both very thin, well cooked and very tasty. We will certainly return

I took my Grandson, a Pizza aficionado, for an early evening meal. Although quiet the restaurant was very welcoming as were the staff. I don't like pizza and had a traditional Italian meal which was excellent but my Grandson had a pizza. He has recently returned from Italy and stated that the pizza was the best he had ever had outside Rome.

I called in with a large group last night, very impressed with the service, not overbearing, and an excellent choice of food on a comprehensive menu. I tried the Lasagna, which was by far the best Lasagna I have had for many years.

The food was good, the service was ok and the pizzeria had a nice look. Unfortunately when we went there was just no atmosphere and it took quite a while to get the food even though it was nearly empty. It could probably of been put down to the time of year so might be better if it wasn't Christmas. Overall food good and service average

I tried nonno’s pizzeria again after the first time was not great. The pizza was really nice but the bottom of it was burnt which affected the flavour. Also the salad that was £3ish was tiny?! Salad is so cheap I expected it to be more than leaves and onion!

This was our 2nd visit and they have both been fantastic, the food is fresh and tasty and staff are very friendly and helpful, if you like good tasty italian food then give it a go you will not be dissapointed.

Booked a table for 7pm on a Friday as my son wanted an Italian restaurant for his birthday meal. Quite a few diners but not over full. I wish we had been before, as we all thought it was excellent. The atmosphere is very good, exceptionally clean, nice modern decor, no intrusive music ( thank you!). Plenty of staff who were all extremely polite and attentive. The food was perfect, pizza was one of the best I have had locally, spaghetti bolognese got full marks and the chicken dish got full marks too. Two of us enjoyed puddings and to cap it all Peroni was perfect and not over priced as it is elsewhere. Very happy with the bill which I would say is mid priced. We shall return.

The decor is lovely and he food was brill. Severely let down by a rude manageress! I have a 10 week old baby and needed to make use of the baby change facilities. I was shocked when the staff didn’t know if they had one! 10 minutes later and after asking a second time they finally came back to me to say it was in the disabled. Went to use the changing area to find it hadn’t been cleaned properly in a long time and was covered in dust. Add to that how rickety it was and the disgusting sink in the toilet I chose to complain. The standard just wasn’t up to scratch. I complained to the manageress who argued with me that someone had used before me and must have left it in a mess, it wasn’t mucky because of changing use it was dusty! After explaining this she continued to argue and be quite rude, I merely wanted be toilet wiping down properly but was met with comments such as well we have a cleaner, it was done at tea time etc although I fail to see how as we saw no one go in and we were there for opening. This ruined an otherwise enjoyable food experience. The service is very slow though. Get your act together nonnos, dissapointing staff attitude and I’m afraid you’ve lost a customer!

good home-cooked food. Restaurant perhaps a bit chilly, but warm welcome & service. Not the cheapest, but pretty good value.

Six of us went for a meal. We all had different meals. Unusually I had Beef Burger, it was very tasty and hot. Chips were home made and good. All other meals were very good. Overall price was perfectly acceptable. A good atmosphere although there was a draught coming from somewhere and I know where it was going. All staff were very pleasant and friendly. Will definitely go again.

First visit with a friend , staff welcoming , honestly I like to comments about facts . It’s very clean , nice spaces between tables. Plenty of staff around that serve you . Both had lasagne , delicious piping hot cooked beautifully , however I thought it may of come with a salad garnish it didn’t . Not knowing no complimentary bread or olives prior to ordering , no salad garnish with the lasagne it was slightly disappointing .. but would know next time we visit

This was our first visit to the Pizzeria for an early doors family meal. The restaurant is spacious with trendy Italian décor, the food is authentic, varied & delicious.

I recently visited this new restaurant with my family after hearing good reviews. I have to say that we were not dissappointed. The restuarant itself is very modern, warm, clean and inviting. All of the staff were extremely attentive and very polite. The owner himself made an effort to come over and chat to us and seemd to be a genuinely very nice person.

We had a works catch up here, great welcome, lovely atmosphere, outstanding service, with well presented tasty food. We were well impressed especially by Tuey, one of the staff, her customer service and interactions were outstanding. Thanks for a great night.

Me and my wife wanted somewhere local to eat that we hadn’t yet tried. Fair to say after going to nonnos pizzeria last night it won’t be long until we are back again.

I visited on a quiet Monday evening for a family meal. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and professional. Enjoyed complimentary olives with our drinks while waiting for our main courses. My lasagne was the best I have ever had! I can't recommend this restaurant enough!

Visited here three times as I really wanted to like it here as Nonnos Restaurant is lovely. However, on our first visit we were told to wait in the bar until our table was ready. We waited for an hour, I then approached the manager and it was clear they had forgotten about us but there was no apology.

We visited here recently for a birthday meal. The pizzas and desserts were delicious. Service was quick, but we seemed to get a different waiter/waitress for each dish/drink we were served,which is fine, but personally would have preferred the same person. Why is Italian food so expensive? It's such a shame as we would visit all the time, but can only afford special occasions. All in all though it is a lovely restaurant, and quite large, bigger than we thought it would be. You definitely need to book, as the restaurant does get busy.

The best traditional pizzas we have tried in this country (and better than many even in Italy). A wonderful menu and atmosphere along with friendly accommodating staff make this one of our favourite eateries. Lovely decor and lighting, great for families or couples. Hats off to Santo and Romina and Paolo who have made this venue such a success.

7 of us attended for my daughter's 11th birthday meal. Pizzas were very good with a good variety of toppings. Whilst there is no children's menu, they are happy to provide smaller portions from the main menu for kids. Pasta dishes were excellent as was the Italian sausage casserole- beautiful flavours but portion maybe a little on the small side for those with bigger appetites. Surroundings are pleasant. I found the prices a little higher than maybe expected - particularly for wine and beers but quality of food us good. Cost £170 with 4 of us having a main and dessert with a few bottles of wine. I would go back again.

Well laid out and spacious restaurant with lovely decoration, great background music, what a great place to enjoy something to eat/drink. Greeted warmly by the staff, quickly shown to a table with drinks that followed. Menu has a very good choice of items not just pizza/pasta. Food looks and tastes very good, with decent size portions. Service from the staff was excellent, attentive with that all important smile. Whilst I enjoyed my meal/drinks I thought that the hefty bill at the end of the evening was a tad pricey. Would I go back again, food/service yes, price no.

Couldn't wait to try this restaurant since we visit their sister restaurant frequently. Once inside; an impressive, spaciously decorated restaurant. Staff very friendly and polite. View through to the kitchen - nice touch. We ordered 2 lasagne's, pizza and a burger. The burger came with a nice side salad & chips. The lasagne's didn't come with any side compliment which was a disappointment, but were tasty. Pizza; average - had better elsewhere locally. Our meals and especially our drinks were overpriced. Sadly, we won't be returning unless the prices are dropped.

Having visited its sister restaurant and reviewed that and given an excellent rating (amazing by the way!), I'm slightly disappointed that on balance I can only give an average rating for our visit to the pizzeria (Saturday night at 6:30).

We dined here last week, ordering two pizzas, a bottle of house wine (red) and two puddings, the pizza was delicious, fresh and of good quality, the house wine was smooth and very drinkable, the desserts were sublime! Staff gave a good service, we will be returning.

Went with a group of 10. Much larger premises than expected. Everything is brand new. Excellent menu and food was first class. Fast delivery to table (we had pre-ordered food). The group had lots of different choices off both starter and main menu, all was highly rated. Lots of food brought to the table - excellent for a bunch of hungry guys.

This is our second visit to this restaurant. The entrance is on the main road going out of the town ( shame about a the overflowing bins in full view). Inside the place is vast ,plenty of room between tables. The service was good , the food was very good,and value for what we paid. It's just a shame the bins are in full view ,wouldn't it be possible to hide them behind a solid fence panel, just a thought .HOPE THE MANAGEMENT READ THIS.

Having visited Nonno's restaurant many times we thought we would give their new venture a try. It was superb. Usual fantastic warm welcome for my whole family got us off to a great start. Food & service excellent, we had pizza, chicken pasta, all very good. A very enjoyable evening, give it a try.

First visit to this Restaurant and very impressed with the food, service and atmosphere. Don't be put off with the title Pizzeria. The menu includes other Italian dishes. Friday night and we got a table at 6.30pm. By 7pm the place was busy and buzzing. I think you need to book to be sure of a table. You won't regret it. The service is very good. The staff are very friendly and keen to make sure you are happy.

Nice relaxed atmosphere, plenty of staff , we had 2 waiting on us at once. Had a burger and seafood pizza. Not a lot of topping on the pizza but tasty and crispy base and a good quality burger. Side salad and olives when they arrived only small portions. On the expensive side for this type of food, we had 2 drinks each and a coffee but no desserts and it was £48.00. Would have been nice to have my little limoncello on the house, but it's Belper not Sorrento!

Firstly, I love Nonno's the original so there is and will always be high expectations. My first visit I actually didn't have pizza (part of a fitness programme...anyway) but instead had a chicken pasta dish that was delicious!! 2nd visit had the seafood shared starter that was brilliant and a pizza each...way too much. On the 3rd visit we again went for the shared seafood platter but it wasn't the same. There were bits missing so we had to ask where/why so this was a little disappointing. We do like the decor but on all 3 visits we have been sat in the same seats (it would be nice for tables for 2 to be spread a little more around the restaurant). And just ensure consistency with food and presentation. Service was either good or excellent, one of the male waiters is absolutely lovely and the owner is really friendly and accommodating. I'm sure the little issues will be sorted and we will be back again (in the same seats ).

We went here based on what we'd seen driving past, it looks great, despite the overflowing bins being on full show outside the back. We also love to support local, especially when the effort has clearly been made.

Proper Italian pizza, just the way pizza should be! We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal, the service was excellent and great setting.

Visited early evening for a birthday treat. Has a really nice ambience and the decor is super. Service was top notch and nothing too much trouble. Grandchildren had pizza, which looked good and it all went down very well. I had lasagne, which was delicious and hubby had meatballs and pasta which he enjoyed. Will definitely visit again.

Came across this place whilst looking for something to eat with my partner and looked very inviting & rustic from the outside. Service was attentive and staff were very polite and kind. I was suprised how big it was which impressed us both! The pizza's were amazing, very big size and tasty and well worth its price. Me and my partner have been to italy before and we know that any pizza over here is no comparison to a proper italian pizza but i have to admit this pizzeria's pizza's were the closest and on the same level to the real italian pizza quality and taste which was very impressive. The ingredients used tasted of very high quality and the texture of the pizza was perfection. When i saw these negative reviews by customers on here at this place it did quite shock me because i cannot simply understand how you could say these pizza's were bland and were no better than a takeaway?? I think that is very harsh to say and misunderstood. From my experience here i can say this place is excellent and the pizza's were sublime so we will definintely return and is highly recommended.

First visit last night. The atmosphere and decor was great and the staff were plentiful and attentive. The menu was adequate and we easily chose from it. We were excited to eat there as we have visited the sister restaurant on green lane and it has always been excellent food. However, I'm saddened to report that we were all quite disappointed. The pizzas were large and looked appetising, but they tasted bland. As was the pasta that I ordered. The prices for the drinks were over inflated; nearly £5 for a pint of Peroni, which you would expect to pay in London, but definitely not Belper. The house wine also, overpriced.

Visited Nannos Pizzeria tonight for the first time, opened in Belper a few weeks ago and have been looking forward to going as I love pizza. The decor was excellent, plenty of staff on hand to meet all of our needs and they were very friendly and helpful. So all good there...the food arrived very quickly, piping hot so again all good, however......as a pizza goes it was very very bland, definitely something missing which I couldn't quite place but to sum it up we were extremely disappointed. My husband and I decided that we definitely wouldn't go back and to be frank it was extremely extremely pricey. My husband isn't a big pizza fan but even he said he'd prefer a takeway from our local pizza place! Sorry Nonnos, but it's a thumbs down from us!

Came here a few weeks back with a few of my friends on a busy night. The decor was very clean, modern and unique. We decided to stay at the bar for drinks dor a bit which was a very nice area and including the vespa on the wall which was stunning! Service was very polite and efficient, not to slow or fast just perfect. For the food, all our starters were good, i had the calamari was very nice and friends had a mix of starters, couldn't complain. For main we of course had to have the pizza's. I had the Parma which was amazing, nice fresh flavour of the toppings and the pizza was nice and crisp to perfection. Friends had a mix and a few calabrese pizza's which were yet again perfect. First time visiting and has got to be the best Pizza in Belper area, exactly what was needed, definetely returning!

Me and my husband came here after it's highly anticipated arrival. Was very busy when we arrived and we must say we felt a little rushed into ordering. Food selection is great (I am vegetarian but my husband isn't). He had steak for his main and did have to send it back for being over cooked, but they quickly resolved it and were very polite and apologetic. Food overall was nice, atmosphere was a little chaotic for our liking for a romantic meal out, but would return with friends / family.

As a regular diner at Nonno's, Restaurant, we were expecting the same high standard at Nonno's Pizzeria. Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful - no complaint there. However the food was very disappointing - all four of us found it bland and just about 'average'. High hopes dashed - won't be going back.
