Noho in Manchester

Bouncer asked me to take off my jacket, to which I replied “do you have anywhere I can hang it ?” He then proceeded to grip me up and threaten me with violence if I didn’t remove my coat. Other than a bouncer with a power trip the place is quite nice !

Small step at the front door, and sadly, their "accessible" toilet is now their store room. You can use the accessible toilet next door if it's not busy! Very frustrating

Don’t Let people in depending on their clothes or if they’re single…

I will preface this by saying if I could give Noho 0 stars I would. The evening took a turn when an extremely aggressive member of the bar staff launched a drink at the crowd of people for reasons at the time were unknown. The reason now being that someone apparently ordered a drink but did not pay, regardless, this is a completely inappropriate way to handle matters, not to mention absolutely nothing to do with us, yet we were caught in the crossfire. We then spent the rest of the night soaked by the drink that was thrown over us, tainting the whole evening. I have never seen anything quite like this, and this would not be the treatment you would expect to receive in a respected establishment.

One of the best bars in Northern Quarter with a great atmosphere, good selection of drinks and good music. Definitely recommend this place for a night out.

My go to bar in Northern Quarter. Came for my best mates birthday and reserved a table this time and we had the best time! The bouncers are absolutely sound and friendly and have always helped me if I needed it. We came with a group of guys and but I’ve also been before with mixed gender groups and they’ve always been happy to let us in with no problem. Not like some of the other bars in Manchester. All the staff are really friendly and it’s a really chill place with good vibes, feels safe and fairly cheap! Been coming to Noho for years. Thanks for an amazing birthday!

We usually go blackdog, this year we decide to have our christmas party here didnt know what to expect being our first time music was good great funky atmosphere must say though drinks on the pricy for cocktails but we enjoyed it, had to wait 10 min to get in didn’t mind bouncers were chatty friendly & polite will definitely be back.

Been here a couple of times cannot fault the door staff. Respectful and helpful from the start of the evening until the end. All security take the safety of all guests seriously in a professional manner. Never too busy inside (enough room for some dance moves) and quick friendly service behind the bar. Been many times and will continue you visit in the future.

Great venue! Best venue in Manchester in the 5 years I've lived here, very friendly and helpful staff and security. Over Christmas they accommodated a big group of us lads on an impromptu Xmas work night out at the busiest time of the year, on the condition everyone behaved well. Exceptional service all round, will come back again and again.

Amazing bar, great music/atmosphere Can’t wait to go back

Aggressive bouncers that split up a group of 6-people on the 22nd December, sending half of us to a completely different bar, without letting the rest of us go there as one of our party was in a wheelchair. Individual members refused entry to the 'other bar', making it unsafe for a singular female left outside in the cold. Unbelievably low standards.

A man claiming to be one of the bouncers was extremely aggressive towards myself and my friend (both female). We were trying to re-enter after going out into the smoking area. Me and my friend went back in but my boyfriend was stopped because he didn't have a stamp (even though none of us did because we weren't given one). He was physically blocking the doorway so we couldn't leave/my boyfriend couldn't get in and shouting. The bouncers who actually had uniform on said we were all fine to go back in but did nothing to stop this man from shouting and getting up in our faces.

If I could give this hole a minus rating I would. Me and three mates queued up for nearly half an hour to go for a drink after our work Christmas do only to be told we couldn’t come in because we are male. We were not being rowdy or misbehaving. If you have an admission policy based solely on blatant sexual discrimination then why don’t you at least put a sign up saying that rather than wasting people’s time and ruining their nights?

Great atmosphere but I was shocked by the bouncers and their handling of the queue and their 1 in 1 out approach. Queue wouldn’t move and every so often the bouncers cherry picked groups from the back of the queue and let them go straight in, heavily favouring groups of girls. I was with a group of 4 girls and myself (guy) and the bouncer approached us multiple times asking how many were in our group and then after declaring we have a guy the bouncer instantly moved on. With the queue remaining still, we saw 5 different groups poached from the back of the queue and brought straight in. We were one of many groups frustrated by this continually happening.

Security wouldnt let us in for no reason. We were with a guy and they wouldn’t let us in. Absolute joke. They were being aggressive and not letting other people in for no reason. So so weird. Used to love this place but wont go again

Obnoxious and unfriendly bouncer

We wanted to visit in a Saturday night around 2:50 AM and we haven't being let in by the security team claiming that we are too many lads on the q Nd although we tried to explain them that we this is not our fault, our access has been denied multiple times. We do work in hospitality and finished late night, was just 2 of us and I don't understand what our fault was having only boys behind us. This is simply gender discrimination which I do not tolerate in any possible way. Looking forward to be contacted in the following week or I will forward this complaint above for the legal actions to be taken as this is simply unacceptable in 2023. P.s. I do have a picture of the security guy claiming that we are not able to get in just because we are boys.

A great place to grab a pint. Frank behind the bar is the nicest bar man I've ever met. Such a good host. Best bar I've been to in Manchester. Been all over the country and never been treated so well as I was in here. What a place. Great tunes, great vibe. Highly recommended.

Fun night good music but door staff were very aggressive and traumatised my friend pushing and shouting and not letting back in to get coat towards end of the night - won’t come back

Good fun inside. Throw back Playlist to relive the glory days. However for the first time ever in UK I have been told too many guys can't inside can't come in. Very disappointing.

Great spot for some late banter, starting our first drink at Noho and ending our night in NOHO, DJ was very good. Missing Couple of Draft beers, however The Bottles & shots did the job. We will be back again.

As soon as I entered the place I had a bouncer dressed like Tupac trying to make me pay for the coat hanger. I told him the man's not hot, never hot! He then told me that I would have to keep the jacked on all night, I couldn't have it in my hand, which was incredibly funny. I'm still laughing about it. I obviously decided to leave the place straight away. I never seen something so funny coming from a bouncer but I will assume that he was enforcing the rules provided by uper management which is appalling. I would definetly change your approach to clients.

Aggressive manager directed us immediately upon entry to the cloakroom where we were told we HAD to leave our coats. I have my keys and wallet in my coat and never put it into a cloakroom. He was aggressive towards my friend and myself simply because we did not want to use the cloakroom. When we argued this, he threw us out and proceeded to shout at the doorman to “keep them OUT!”. I think he has anger management issues and clearly does not understand a customers right to remain in possession of their personal belongings. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour.

Been coming on and off with my girlfriends since uni in 2012. Music has gone seriously downhill, resembling a graduation party of well outdated tracks from 2000s (Eminem, 50 cent, Beyonce, Sexy and I know it). Completely unoriginal. Vibe is often killed off and people do not stay long as a result. Change the DJ - he's terrible. Sorry xoxox

Refused entry for having no I.D. I understand places have to protect themselves but as a 35 year old greying man it was a bit ridiculous. Tried to talk about it but was told they are watched on cctv and if they get caught letting anyone in without being seen to see I.d they get fired. All a bit of a shambles.

Cocktails here were lovely although the menu on the website had far more options than the menu in the bar.

These guys allow only couples. Without girls they won't allow. I saw they are allowing English people. Racist people standing in front of entry. Bad experience 3 times.

Cracking bar. Good music, not too expensive, friendly staff. May need to queue up if you get there late on but it's worth the wait.

Really great bar, went there around a week ago for my sister's hen-do - we had a table and a great time with complimentary shots thrown in (thanks Simon!). Dj was good too, played a nice mix of music, friendly crowd met some new people, would definitely visit again if planning a trip to Manchester! 😁

Menus said £5 per cocktail. Yet they charged me £33 for 4. I asked by and they said the menu is an offer and the offer isn't current yet it was advertised as £5. Feel like they have robbed me. The manager also said the menu was just an offer and didn't count. This is with using the confidential app. They said had I paid cash I would have been ok.

I’ve been really looking forward to bringing my friends here in view of my previous times. It’s been such a ball. However this time the information provided online has really failed me and my friends. Google stated the bar was open when in fact it was closed on a Thursday of Easter weekend.

Very decent place, if you are allowed in when it is in full swing. Sometimes end up here but only if the (usually) rude bouncers let us in. Good music, but they start playing it loud straight away. So don't expect to go here for a chat with friends, unless you can lipread.

Great, modern bar. The screen is an interesting touch. The bar staff are friendly and knowledgeable and couldn't be more helpful and the prices are reasonable. Would benefit from beer on tap and a better range, but it is more of a cocktail place. Will definitely be going again.

A great end to a 40th birthday celebration. In at 10pm and got a table - whew. Good range of drinks and quite reasonable. All six of us were up dancing to a fantastic range of music - dj is a wizard. Had many good nights in NoHo - open til 4am. Staff and customers very friendly.

Too loud too early, small and can get super crowded. Lots of throwback R&B on though if that's your bag... Cocktails are only £7 though and the bar staff are friendly when it's not too busy.

NoHo is a great bar located on Stephenson Square, I have been here for networking events and on a weekend and each time been impressed with the atmospere and general setup of what they have going on. It can get a little busy on popular nights and is expectedly loud, so don't expect much conversation. But it did work out well for dancing and on the rare occasion, learning.

This was the 4th Bar we went to. It was packed in here so was a good atmosphere as most the other places on a Saturday Night on the road were quieter. Fairly Reasonably priced drinks just quite a long wait at the bar all in all. Was a good variety of music though and was very rustic looking. Kind of like a Factory with props and bits of work done. Good place to finish off and to have a dance. Floor was quite sticky...

It sells drinks, and has a huge dance floor. This might be a huge plus if you are looking to go dancing, less so if you are looking for a sit down. It was alright, but then it was 7pm on a Sunday when I called in, I'm sure things got more interesting later in the evening.

Good for a work do. All bottle beers ...absolutely noho beer on tap.
