Noffs Fish & Chips in Swindon

Our first time trying this place as it was recommended to us & we were very impressed with it! The cod was cooked beautifully & melted in your mouth & the chips were delicious. Everything tasted nice & fresh. Very generous portions too. Will definitely be coming back!

They had been recommended, and certainly didn't disappoint. Fish tasty, and chips well cooked, not anaemic like some. Very pleasant staff. The haddock was cooked to order.

Whenever we want fish and chips we come to Noffs. It is easily the best fish and chips I have tasted in years! Staff are friendly and helpful, as much as a chips hop can be.

The food is always hot, and of good quality. The portions are good. I love the rock salmon / Huss which is always made to order

Been here many times over the years but I'd say over the past 12 months its turned into a real gem. Smart, clean chippy but chips are great, crispy never soggy. Food good, prices good, service decent, highly recommend

Our chippy of choice. Worth traveling for the superior fare. Very popular so it can get busy. Favorites are Cod, Chips, Chicken Breast and excellent Curry Sauce.

Never fails to please, fish is always excellent, chips a triumph - properly cooked to perfection. I've recently discovered the delight of the mushy pea fritter , absolutely brimming gorgeous! Best chippy in Swindon.

The last twice I have used Noffs, I have been very disappointed with the food. The first time it happened, I put it down to a one-off glitch and decided to give it one more good. On both occasions, the fish was small compared to normal and very heavily coated in batter. The chips were overcooked and the whole was not what I've usually had. It makes me sad to search for somewhere else, but I'm afraid that you had your second chance.

Highly recommended by two friends of mine so had to give it a try,first lmpression nice and clean smart uniform for staff but that was it really not a smile from the staff and the meal was very average will not be returning.

This is my local chippy, we're really lucky, it's the best I know of in Swindon! They've never let me down...

I don't know why I didn't find this Pub during many recent visits to Swindon and Shrevinham. The food and service/customer friendliness was excellent. I will definitely go back if visiting the Swindon area in the future. Most of the employees seemed to be preparing for the Christmas Holiday season with preparations and decorations throughout and what seemed to be a Happy Time for all....customers included. There were a few locals to talk to about this part of England and they were willing to brag about their community and Noffs. I had the Fish and Chips and both were cooked to perfection. I think the fish was white fish however the server told me it was cod. It didn't have the sweet cod taste I was use too, but it was good fish regardless. I wasn't planning to debate with anyone about the type of fish.....I just ate it and went back to my hotel. Located just a short drive from Mecure South Marston Inn...worth the drive and company. I'll be back...Gary

Beautifully cooked fish and chips. Always fresh. Even when it's really busy there is never long to wait to be served. Staff are friendly and polite. Excellent.

Since my fave chippy changed hands and went downhill, I've been looking for a new one. The Fish Company (used to be Noffs) on Grange Drive seemed worth a try. I'm glad I did, as the fish and chips were really good. Fish is cooked to order, nice crispy batter and good quality fish. Chips were cooked nicely too. I think I may have a new favourite chippy!

Went here while passing through Swindon, it was the only good thing about my visit. Although Swindon has a lot to improve on this chip shop doesn't. Huge portions, the best chips I've ever had and a piece of fish I couldn't finish as it was so big. Very reasonable price and fantastic staff. A must for any chip shop lover!

Stumbled across "Noffs" while on a journey home from watching my football team play at Swindon town one cold, wet September afternoon. I was very impressed with the value for money, excellent customer service and all round quality of the food. The fish was very large and very tasty while I couldn't eat all my chips there were so many. I will 100% be going there on my next visit.

Was working in Swindon for a week and went back to this chip shop 4 times it was so good! Fresh chips and piping hot cod, the batter was superb. The staff were friendly and the place was spotless. Looking forward to my next trip to the area, best chips I've had in years!

Absolutamente fantástico pescado y patatas fritas, muy fresco. El personal fue muy amable y cordial. Bacalao fue salchichas muy grande y escalones abollados era la mejor que he probado. He recomendado noffs a algunos de mis amigos y también han dicho en cómo es todo el servicio de todo el año. La mejor chip shop.

Can't believe I didn't try this place earlier!having been a regular at another chippy just up the road from here for many years I decided it was time for a change and my piano tutor recommended Noffs. Very pleasant staff and must say fantastic tasting food my only problem was that the portions were too big for me so was even enough left over for the dog! Noffs has restored my faith in the great British chippy thanks !

Im glad i found this chip shop! I had the most delicious cod and chips whilst on my lunch break, it was on a lovely road which had easy roadside parking, i really enjoyed the crispy tasty batter and flaky fish! I will definetly be going back,

Although the fish and chips were hot the fish tasted old and horrible. The chips were soggy. I am sure we will give this place a miss in future. We were also under the impression that it was Noffs but it is now called The Fish Factory or something like that.

I order the pensioners fish and chips as the normal portion is too large.We also order the large sausage in batter and cut it into 2.

Used to be good, but last visit resulted in the most soggy and under cooked chips that I've tried to eat in many years

We have been here several times and we have always been impressed with the quality and quantity of the food. We recently ordered a take away for 8 people in advance and the fish was just finishing being cooking when we arrived, and all the food was hot fresh and delicious. The batter is light and non greasy.

Jordan is the master fish and chip fryer. Best ever. Shame we don't live a bit nearer. Huge portion of flakey cod and lovely chips

The service was very fast and pleasant given they were very busy. Saw some excellent service for a disabled customer who waited outside while a member of staff went and took their order and then their food to them. Well done!The fish and sausages we had were very nice but the chips seem to have been cooked too quickly and gave us quite bad indigestion.

best fish and chips. proper chips cut fresh from potatoes and fresh fish hand battered. they really care about quality here and the service is fast and the staff friendly polite and personable. highly recommended.

I really recomend this chip shop to others, the service was excellent and the food was lovely and hot and still fresh tasting when i got home. I love the welcoming and the lovely chatty man behind the counter I totally recommend you try this :)

I have tried nearly all the fish & chip shops in Swindon. And this one is definitely my favourite! Massive portion sizes, and easy parking on the side streets... Fast and friendly service! Unlike McDonald's etc. x

I was in Swindon and asked for a good chippy. I was advised that Noffs in Stratton St. Margaret was very good and I was sure not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and my fish was 'cooked-to order'. Had a nice chat with the proprietor and left to enjoy melt in the mouth fish along with some of the most delicious chips sampled in a long while. It was recommended to me - I recommend it to you.......

Thought l would try noffs as l have heard it is the best, so my mother & l went to get fish & chips plus sausage & chips today, wish l not gone there, it was rubbish , the fish was like mush , the grease was pouring out both bags when l got home, never again, l should had took it back . Eight pound wasted how it can be voted the best.

Very pleased with quick service and massive portion sizes for cod and chips and battered sausage and chips. Definitely one of the better chip shops in town. Good quality food as well and nice added extra that they have a chalk board up telling you where the potatoes come from and what type they are. Can be a bit of a pain to park sometimes as its a busy area for traffic and you have to find a space on the side of the road and not in the bus stop!

Lovely chips from here. Matched up with a nice Jumbo Sausage as well. Good value and good quick service.
