We went for breakfast and had a wonderful experience. We were greeted with a smile by the host who was attentive and friendly throughout our meal. The full English was really good and lacked nothing. Generous portions, good quality and very good price. Clean space and lovely atmosphere. Couldn't have asked for more if we wanted to, will definitely be back every time we visit. Thank you :)

Lovely host and delicious food!

We are self confessed coffee afficianados so we're pleased to give this lovely coffee shop a visit on a wet late September afternoon.we used this visit as a bit of a coffee shop scoping exercise as we visit the area 2/3 times a month with clients and have been keen to find a suitable place. Our welcome was amazing,offering a warm and relaxed venue.we ordered cream teas with the option for a boozy version with a cappuccino as well.great Idea. Everything was good but can't give 5 stars as coffee was scorching hot and burnt and was not made from the barista machine on view, unfortunately even when it cooled down sufficiently to sip,it was clear this was not made from the bean to cup machine.shame as this has the potential to be a regular venue

Visited for a late breakfast and felt so welcome straight away, such a friendly environment with great food and a fantastic view out of the window. Will definitely be coming again when back in the area

We have been saved this morning by the most incredible breakfast after we walked in worse for wear from a heavy night. Incredible food and service, owner (?) was super warm, funny and friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed not only our food but the atmosphere aswell! 100/10… we will be back x

Fantastic place to visit all round! Atmosphere was wonderful, very clean and cosy. Great choice of cream teas! Wonderful hosts, both Mark and Mike made us feel welcome as soon as we got there. Called in for coffee & cake . Lovely end to a pleasant day . Mark was convinced I was Teresa and my husband was off crime watch . Young Hudson decided to have hot chocolate late on , best he’s ever had . Wish we lived closer would frequent more . Couldn’t fault ,thank you .

We enjoyed our breakfast so much on Saturday we went back Sunday. Mark is happy to accommodate any little foibles (Scrambled eggs with toast on the side please!) Just a shame we weren't staying longer to try the cakes and scones!

Visited for cream teas late one afternoon after a longish day with our children in Lynmouth. Even though it was 3pm we were warmly welcomed as if they had just opened. Ordered two cream teas and some side orders. Cream teas had several options all of which sounded good. Food and drinks were excellent. The warm welcome we got from the owner was second to none and put a smile on our faces for the rest of the day. A great place to visit.

We visited it as The Kensington and had a steak lunch. The food and service was excellent. Gluten Free is well catered for. Really enjoyed our meal.

Popped in for breakfast - could not have asked for more. The kind of place you could happily spend all day in. Mark is just a total charmer, even finding a cloth to deal with the inevitable egg shirt situation. Food was brilliant, we will be back!

If I, in an imaginary world, could bring a café with me anywhere on my travels, this would be the one. Delivous cream tea and lovely people running the place.

The place to go for a proper cream tea with a large variety of choices! Delicious vegetarian breakfast too. Very friendly and conversational staff. Dog friendly.

Lovely friendly atmosphere and the cream teas are lovely with plenty of choice.

Can't comment on food as we only popped in for drinks, just needed something cold on the super hot day as we had a day trip from Croyde and really couldn't fault anything. The prices were really reasonable, everything you could want was on the menu and anything that wasn't you could ask for and the boys would do, within reason of course! And I loved how it essentially felt like they'd just opened up their living room and kitchen to whoever fancied a drink and a bit of something to eat. Thoroughly recommended!

What a wonderful cafe No.1 is, such a lovely setting with friendly welcoming owners. We popped in today for a cup of tea and a bacon cob whilst visiting the area and after some great advice walked the scenic route past the Church down to Lynmouth before taking the railway back up. We stopped off here yesterday afternoon for a cream tea while in Lynton as part of the final day of our Devon holiday and we found a real gem of a place. The host was charming and very friendly and the food was lovely. We would highly recommend.

We had a lovely coffee and delicious cakes Sunday and the dogs got a treat too, love your guys

After a long walk this was a welcome break to stop for a quick Sausage bap and Coffee. Excellent and very friendly service, quality food and coffee! Highly recommend if passing...and even better they are dog friendly!

The boys are the most super friendliest human beings, ever 🥰. Super lovely, friendly, helpful, smiley and really kind. We arrived when they were nearly closing but went out of their way to serve us, make us feel comfortable and didn’t rush us at all . The cream tea was gorgeous, the scones were super fresh and extremely tasty . My daughter and I will definitely be back and I can’t recommend them enough !

Great little cafe came recommended to us seems very popular with locals we had a light lunch followed by the cheese cafe absolutely gorgeous, the lads who run it made us feel very welcome and relaxed , good prices and dog friendly with treat for our dog will definitely return again. Simon & Trissa

Super little place. Just had coffee & cake but it was a real delight to visit the place. The guys that run No 1 were really friendly and welcoming. From what we saw the menu was reasonably priced. We will be back again next time we are in Lynton. The place is not far from the car park.

Popped into Lynton on our way to Braunton for a long weekend. Fabulous atmosphere, really friendly welcome, excellent food and drinks will definitely return when in Devon again!

The cherry and blackcurrant jam were the highlight 👍🏻. The cheesecake was delicious too.

Sparkling little spot in Lynton. Lovely Ploughman’s lunch today, great welcome and atmosphere. Nothing any trouble - great recommendations for liquid refreshments, and excellent spread for Ploughman’s. Thoroughly enjoyed lunch, and our two Westies made very welcome. Mark and Mike are both amazing they made us feel at home as soon as we walked in, told us to hang our wet coats to dry as we were soaked.The food was just the best that we’ve had on this holiday! Everything was just so fresh and well presented and tasted amazing.The scones are so fresh and served with home made jams and clotted cream yummy! The homemade cheesecake was delicious as were the full English breakfast and chicken and chips.Even our holiday neighbours visited this place and loved it as much as we did it had such a nice vibe well done guys!!!

Fantastic place for a proper slap-up brekkie! Very welcoming host who instantly recognised our dog as a king Charles cavalier. Yummy full English, fantastic Earl grey tea, everything perfect! Would definitely come again :)

Wonderful coffee shop tucked out of the way. The service was so friendly we could have sat and listened to him talk all day. We had scones and they were delicious and filling. One of the only coffee shops open on a cold wet Wednesday in September and I’m so glad we found it. Definitely will be back.

Was referred to here by a local who said we had to try the cheesecake. They weren't wrong. Fantastic venue with great coffee and out of this world sweet treats. Made my kids feel special and were perfect hosts.

This cafe is fantastic, very friendly, food is brilliant, cheese cake and cakes to die for, excellent value for money. Will take some beating. Can't recommend it highly enough.They are always welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. You won't be disappointed.

The latte wasn't home made , mostly milk but the baguette sandwiches were delicious (not real baguette tho). The lady who served us was lovely.
