Nishi Sushi Cafe in Chorley

We really love it here, had both taken away and eaten in evening and lunch time. The food is amazing, the price is incredibly reasonable. There are just a few small tables and the door to outdoors is opening and closing a fair amount, so worth dressing warmly. Really you're going for the food, which is lush!

Food was amazing when first opened Tried again the other week to be very dissapointed. Sushi was dry as a bone and had barely any flavour to it. Young lad on the till missed out multiple items even though I verbally spoke the items to him. Not his fault but more experience is needed. Probably won't come back now as the price doesn't even closely reflect the quality any more.

Lovely, little cafe but not so many tables. The menu is extensive and even had options for those no who don't like raw fish. I had takoyaki and California rolls. The rolls tasted very fresh and came with high quality wasabi that hit the pack of your brain rather than making you choke and it's not that cheap packet wasabi that you can buy online or that other restaurants give you with YO!(ur) sushi.. I was pleasantly surprised with the dishes I chose they were very nice and of high standard with good presentation and i would go back again ☺️

My girlfriend and I are massive Sushi lovers, having had Sushi all over the UK and Asia (Including Japan). We also love to import high quality Tuna and Salmon sashimi for special occasions. Let me tell you, Nishi Sushi is the most authentic and incredible Japanese food we have had in the whole of the UK, and easily rivals what we had in Japan. The fish is so beautifully fresh and flavourful, and the staff are absolutely amazing. If you're in Lancashire, there is no better place to eat. I highly, HIGHLY recommend trying it. 10/10.

We love it here! Been going for years. An absolute must in Chorley if you like Japanese food. My partner is vegan and he loves it too (tofu options). Caters for us both easily.

Never ordered before but great food!

Sushi good, but every time I have had it from here, I had bad stomach ache afterwards. It’s the next day now and I feel very nauseous and have a headache.

Service, selection and food quality was fantastic. Young guy who served us was brilliant, very polite and professional. Only advice would be to freshen up the decoration and paintwork inside to match the quality of service/food. Will 100% return

We recently dined at this sushi restaurant and had a fantastic experience. The Spicy tuna sushi was incredibly fresh and delicious. The Choley special sushi was a unique and delightful surprise. The chicken katsu was perfectly crispy and flavorful. The service was attentive, and the ambiance was welcoming. I highly recommend this place for a memorable sushi dining experience!

came here for a meal with friends and the food was amazing with excellent service. only a small place, but a very friendly atmosphere. we ordered a wide range of items from the menu and it was all great. some really good vegan options too, plus some things that you don’t typically see at a japanese restaurant, like deep fried sushi. will definitely go back!

Party of 4 adults and a child and we didn’t book. We had a superb meal with various items off the menu and we will undoubtedly return, it was superbly presented and cooked. The size of this place is small but can see this business going from strength to strength as the food is good, and at a decent price . Excellent polite service too.

I ordered on Chorley Eats and it arrived within 45 mins quite far from them (Eccleston). That was quite possibly the best sushi I have had in a very long time... maybe ever. The Chorley Special Uramaki (top left) was incredible, as was the California Hot Roll (top right), the salmon sashimi was super fresh and delicious and the chicken karage was amazing too... lastly the dumplings were great as well. Thank you :)

Amazing sushi definitely recommend.

The katsu was so authentic, the perfect crisp pumpkin croquettes on sticky rice was perfectly complemented by the rich, warm curry sauce. The Chorley Special Uramaki rolls were so fun—teriyaki seared salmon on tempura prawn and avocado rolls. Perfect umami with the dash of truffle mayo! And the vegan and veggie options are fantastic. The inari taco tofu sushi was generous, delicious, and mouthwatering. To top it all off; the staff are not only highly decorated in sushi preparation (and it shows!) but our waiter was a kind, attentive host and very polite and friendly. If you haven’t tried this food, please, do!! A hidden gem in Chorley, this place needs far more recognition.

It's nice food , only one minuse it's not toilet when dine in . But definitely back for food there .

I’ve grown up in Asia and eaten sushi all around the world but hands down the sushi from Nishi sushi cafe is one of the best me and my boyfriend have tried. You can really tell how passionate the chef is about his craft! Everything is so fresh and tasty, If you haven’t been you must go!

Really good, home made Japanese food! when you walk in, the place doesn’t match the superb quality of the food, in my opinion, if you move to a bigger place and attract some more “eat in” customers, you would absolutely smash it for Japanese food lovers.

Absolutely outstanding. My colleague and I attended this afternoon, the restaurant is clean and bright. The food itself is prepared freshly on site, beautifully presented and the flavours were amazing. My colleagues and I will be visiting again and I will recommend to all.

I usually go to meize in Preston for my sushi ,found out about Nishi so thought I would give it a try.I got 3 different sushi rolls but not very impressed the seaweed used is tough hard to chew, the rice taste very bland .will not be going back will have to go back to Preston meize 5* every time .Was really hopping Nishi would be good .

Inspired menu, perfectly executed! Just delicious sushi, you have to try it. Chefs special is lovely and light but my favourite is the chicken hot roll and the LX is a treat aswell. They also have a great selection Asian drinks which I've not found anywhere else!

Ahh the food, just thinking about them makes me drool. Had to drive 50 miles just to dine here everytime. Of all the places in the lakes, there is none that comes close to what you guys cook. Try the LX roll, chicken karaage, the gyoza (when asked how'd you want it, say fried), salmon nigiri.. basically everything.

Lovely, especially the Chicken katsu. Wasn't keen on the Seaweed starter though..the smell was a bit weird for me but the prawn starter was lovely. Staff are very friendly and helpful. One of our favourite takeaways.

I've said it before and I'll say it again one of THE best sushi cafes I've ever been to,nothing is too much trouble absolutely perfect, if you're not sure about a dish it's explained to you ,all freshly made to order excellent.

This small Japanese restaurant with 4 tables but the food was very tasty with quality and reasonable prices. Just 2 of us, ordered 6 kinds of sushi rolls, filled us really full. Nice staff & good chef. I have been in many Japanese restaurants in Manchester, Bolton and Worsley, here’s the good one, recommended !

What an amazing little Japanese cuisine place, the food was awesome, beautifully flavoured with great presentation. Feels like a hidden gem, parking is a bit tight due to the councils weird parking rules around, but managed to get parked up easy enough. Not much in the way of seating but this kinda works with it being a small cafe (5 to 6 tables) probably worth booking if you want to go at a busier time. They do dining in or take out. The sushi was wonderful and the cooked food was also excellent so hard to go wrong. Hope they keep growing and do well as I will be back as often as I can.

If you are seeking for 99% Authentic Japanese Food, come here. It won’t be 100% like the ones in Japan. But it’s very very close. And the chef cook with heart and passion. Great food at reasonable price.

Food is absolutely amazing! We live in Wigan but we come here from time to time even though it’s a 30-min drive, just because the food is so good! Deffo one of the most authentic Japanese food you can find in the area🤌🏻 Staffs are also very friendly and helpful, would 100% recommend! Worth a try to call before dining in to make sure there’s a table for you tho😉

Well compared to what I’m used to it’s not for me. Adapted for local consumers and some items fried for me it’s not Traditional Japanese Sushi and at the price definitely will not be bagging it again-will DIY. They seem to run a good business and are rated highly but my personal taste and opinion is above. No delivery option with very little wasabi and ginger.

We've been a few times now. The quality of the food is amazing. I've recommended this place to quite a few friends for sushi. We've never had a bad experience. A little bit of money could be spent on the decor but that's probably to come. Great food, great service. Keep up the hard work.

This is my third time eating here and I meant to write a review the first time I went but got complacent. This time, I visited with a friend. First impressions, it's a cute little cafe that makes a warming presence on Pall Mall. You enter and you can either order for take away or sit in where there are about 6 or so tables for two (and maybe a table for four, though I can't remember. Most likely not, will need verifying.) Waiter/waitresses that I have met are very nice. You can get drinks whenever you want and then bring them up to the counter. Lovely drinks like Mogu Mogu and Ramune are available, but they do have western drinks if you prefer. Takoyakis are some of the best starter dishes I have ever had; the sweetness of the relish is delectable (be careful not to burn your mouth, it can leave tears on the roof of your mouth if you eat too quickly due to how hot they are). I then had some furikake don, which was nice and spicy. Not too spicy but a great burst of flavour. Prawn gyozas are very crunchy and come with a sweet sauce that enhances the shell. And to finish off, I had some miso soup (which I came to realise that I am not the biggest fan of tofu because it naturally lacks flavour but oh well. And I forgot to photograph) and some prawn tempura supumen (noodles), which come with very thick noodles. I actually find it easier to eat the noodles with chopsticks (which means hashi in Japanese, which also means bridges, the choice depends on your syllable pitch) than I do with the spoon provided, but the spoon helps with the tempura and the soup of the broth. Too long, didn't read: It is a very warm and welcoming little cafe, and a gem of Pall Mall. So far one of my favourite places to eat and will definitely be a returning customer. My friend also loves this place and he has never had Japanese food before. If you are a fan of fish and want to try eastern cuisine, you ought to try this place.

Quite honestly the best gem in Chorley. I can’t even get sushi this good in Manchester! The service from our host was amazing and the food was incredible. I’d have posted more pictures but we were too excited to try it all we forgot to take them. The seating area is basic but so are the prices so make sure you get yourself to this place and support it so it doesn’t go!!

I can say without a shadow of a doubt this is an excellent hidden gem. Been here a couple of times, always with excellent service, food and atmosphere. Perfection.

Just had my first order today and the food was absolutely amazing.i was earlier than I should have been to collect but that wasn't a problem and the staff are very accommodating and welcoming found my new place for a treat.

Absolutely lovely sushi and I thoroughly recommend a visit. Large selection and fresh food and a chef who clearly knows what he's doing. They do take away or tables to eat inside. We eat in, and while it feels basic inside (although they've done a good job of the decor to make it feel nice), the lady servicing us was more attentive and competent than many of the waiters at the more expensive restaurants in town. I'm really looking forward to returning.

Just experienced Nishi Sushi Cafe home delivery . This was the nicest , most enjoyable takeaway we've had for a very long time. We got an appetite looking at the menu and it was even better than it said on the tin . Highly recommend & will reserve a place in our diary for more sushi experiences .
