One of my favourite spots, the staff are exceptional and Gaynor does thee best poached eggs exactly how I like them. 🥰👌

I went for a walk in Duxbury woods with our dog and called here for a drink. Had the cake and coffee offer for £4 and it was very good. Nice piece of carrot cake and a good latte sat outside on the terrace. Very clean place and nice in the sun

Payed £26 each to play a course which is basically a building site, greens where in shocking condition, you can actually play a private course up the road for £1.50 more, sent Email to course and reply was we will take your comments on board

We visited today as it was on the eight out to help out website and expected the menu to be 50% off. This was not the case, instead there were 38 out to help out deals. One was a lukewarm toastie, Lukewarm coffee and a mini muffin at the Eat Out to Help Out price of £4.95. I wouldn’t expect to pay £10 for this normally. My dad had the other eat out to help out breakfast deal which was the same as the toastie deal except it had a bacon barn instead. Nothing to write home about. My daughtershad the pizza deal which was okay. There were crumbs and food under the table when we first arrived. These ‘deals’ seem to have been created for the eat out to help out scheme and are not good value. If you like coffee which is tepid and chicken toastier which are tepid then you will be fine. I just hope I am not ill later. Will never go here again!!!

Nice setting. Good fish and chips lunch. Chunky chips not that chunky and mushy peas not thick enough for my liking. Excellent flavour though

I was looking for somewhere for a nice lunch with my children and saw online that Duxbury Golf Course has a restaurant and bar which looks onto a sand pit/play area. There weren’t many other families, mainly golfers, but it was a nice play area and we were able to sit outside to eat. The food was reasonably priced and tasty; the veggie burger was delicious. They also had a great selection of gins!!!

Funny this we came her many years ago , probably not the same owners but our experience today was the same as all those years ago . Arriving for lunch , to be told that the chef was a standby chef for the day ..... [ same thing happened years ago!!!!!] , the lunch menu is very simple, sandwiches, fish and chips , welsh rarebit etc specials board..... breakfast stack, omelette . 1 welsh rarebit, 1 fish but no chips, 1 breakfast stack, 1 omelette later after some considerable time ......awful, the rarebit toast was burnt hardly any cheese, the fish well looked like a piece of cheap frozen stuff to me and apparently didn't taste much better, the omelette was OK so I'm told but think she was being polite, but the biggest joke of the day was the breakfast stack , I do not know how the chef had the temerity to send it out , 4 coffees and mine was a cappuccino and mine was barley warm , good job I don't take sugar there was no chance it would dissolve. service was poor, the place lacked atmosphere, you cannot set up a "tab" in order to pay when you've finished , and no sign or offer of a sweet menu . Don't go , don't waste your money , only good thing about today we decided to come here and pay for the "lunch" so the other 2 in our party apart from the bad food didn't have to suffer from their pockets !!!!

This is a strange cafe. (is it a cafe?) Sometimes the atmosphere is relaxed and staff friendly and efficient. Other times it's like trying to get a Whisky at the Temperance Society Dry January Fundraiser. We have been told to hurry up as there is a Christening at 12 when it was 11.20. Sometimes the food takes a l..o...n..g time to arrive. Other times it's superfast. So a bit like playing your round of golf during a thunderstorm - you might get wet, electrocuted or get a hole in one. There is a nice external seating area and they furniture is modern and clean. But it is all a bit random. take a deep breath pop into 19 and spin the wheel.

My friend and I were out walking and decided to stop off at Nineteens for a coffee at lunchtime. It was a Monday and they had a meal deal - £3.50 for a hot or cold drink, a sandwich and either a bag of crisps or a chocolate bar! I chose a cappuccino, a cheese and pickle sandwich and. 'Bounty' bar. The sandwich was lovely and fresh , the staff were friendly , the service was prompt , what a treat !

This is a lovely addition to one of the most under rated golf courses in Britain. When i last played golf here there was a wee cafe,it was alright but this is a special added area.

We arrived a few minutes past noon for lunch, we've visited many times before but not since Summer 2015. We ordered drinks (had to request ice as it was not on offer). Sat down to look at the menu, there were only two other people in just finishing drinks, we were alone by the time I approached the bar again a few minutes later to order food. I stood in the front of the barman who had his head down, reading? I moved a few times but was still not acknowledged, absolutely nothing! How can you not notice someone stood directly in front of you? Very odd. Eventually I had to disturb him and ask if I could order food. I ordered two burgers, paid just short of £18 and sat back down. It was ten past noon. Nobody else came in until approx 12.20, they did the same, ordered drinks, food etc. It was 12.45 before any food left the kitchen and it wasn't ours. I could see the barman was waiting by the large open hatch were food was being prepared, he kept reaching in the taking food and eating it, I hoped it wasn't our chips, we were also jealous that he was eating and we still hadn't. Then another order left the kitchen at 12.50 and that wasn't ours either. I approached the barman still at the open hatch and asked how long it would take for our two burgers, we'd been waiting 3/4 of an hour? He looked me straight in the eye and replied, "what do you want me to say? I'm not the chef?". I replied that he was the one serving and taking orders, how long would it be, I got the same response. So rude it's off the scale. I asked for our money back and he said, "not from me I can't do it", he waved his arms about a bit and asked one of the two kitchen guys to sort it. I returned to our table to collect my bag and tell my husband we were leaving. The barman could be seen walking through the kitchen laughing so my husband asked him if he was laughing at us, he continued to the back of the kitchen, opened the door which lead directly outside, HELD IT OPEN AND STARTED SMOKING A CIGARETTE IN FULL VIEW OF THE WHOLE RESTAURANT. We asked him if he realised he was smoking in a food prep area and he continued, so we then asked him to smile for our camera and he still didn't stop. None of the chefs asked him to stop either, they just wanted my husband to keep his voice down! We got a refund and left, one hour and one drink later, late back at work and still no lunch. On the way back to the car we telephoned Glendale Golf whose Head Office is here and they run the site including the restaurant, we told them what had just happened and that their staff were smoking in the premises. They didn't take any details of us, names, phone numbers etc. No idea if they took any action. An absolutely shocking experience which left us annoyed, disturbed and disgusted at the thought of what we might have eaten if we'd have had another hour to stay. Avoid - try somewhere else.

Following a round of golf with my father on the excellent Duxbury Park Jubilee Golf Course we decided to lunch in the clubhouse in the appropriately named 'Nineteen' which is open to both golfers and non-golfers. The restaurant is pleasantly situated with a glass frontage looking towards the 18th green. Tables with parasols are located at the front to accommodate those wishing to dine el fresco. Once inside you will find the deco is very attractive with a contemporary feel. There is a variety of seating options most benefiting views of the golf course. There is a small bar area at which food is ordered. The menu offers a nice but limited selection however all seem to be presented to a good standard. I opted for the golfers special of pie, peas, gravy and a pint for a fiver whilst dad opted for the hot dog sausage baguette, American stylie. Both were promptly served with presentation again bring of a good standard. The food was very nice as were the staff ;-) . There was a comfortable, relaxed air about the place with a single wall mounted television showing Sky News. As part of visit to Duxbury Park to enjoy its woodland walks, delightful gardens or it's outstanding golf course a visit to Nineteen would be high recommended.

I took my Mum for Sunday lunch with afriend We had the carvery at £ 12.95 each. It was a good selection of meats including pork and vegetables. The roasted potatoes were under whelming, being rather under cooked for us. You can go back if you wish for meat & vegetables , and there are onion rings, breaded mushrooms, hash browns The waitress was friendly and also the chef We will go again.
