my family and I went for lunch here, we were a bit worried after reading the previous reviews. however glad we never paid any attention to them as its a real hidden gem. The cafe is not everyones taste as a bit retro, however we loved it! tea served in a tea pot with cup and saucer and the staff were very welcoming and chatty, nothing a problem, ppe worn by staff and all track and trace carried out. menu limited but has everything you need. we will be back when in the area and lockdown allows.

Sticky floor. Grubby in general. Actually went in for food but decided against it and had a mediocre coffee instead. Wont be back

This is a very grubby establishment. Only has 2 tables and both were dirty, as was the crockery. This put us right off. I would be doubtful that this place would pass an Environmental Health inspection. The staff appeared harassed, despite there only being 2 tables. Will never be back.

Did not stay in the hotel. But visited the Potting shed Bistro in the grounds. Highly recommend the quaint little potting shed bistro in the grounds of the Roman Camp Hotel. Unique ambience, lovely food and great staff. In my view the best place to dine out in Callander.

Won't accept cash ... then won't accept cards. I tried to get a coffee here a few weeks ago and tried to pay cash as my phone had died. They told me they couldn't accept cash - only card payments. I was annoyed and disappointed. Today I ordered a coffee to be told they can only take cash as their card reader isn't working. I'm now very annoyed and very disappointed.

Toilets are very dirty, not cleaned mess in first two cubicles. Staff swearing in front of customers staff having breaks off shift talking about other members of staff in earshot of customers not a great look.

Just had a munchy box for 2. Absolutely brilliant. Loads of food in 2 boxes, really nice chips & kebab meat. Service was quick and friendly. If I lived closer I'd be in every week.
