Nim’s Thai Kitchen in Castle Point

We have been waiting for a good Thai takeaway since our absolute favourite closed a few years ago. We got the penang curry, Pad Kee Mao and Khao Pad Sapparod. The penang was out of this world, so so good. Pad kee mao was perfect but the Sapparod was just a little disappointing as it didn’t have any raisins or cashews in and that’s my favourite bit. However, it was still very very tasty! I’m a little bit chicken phobic and really sensitive to texture. Their chicken was perfect! Nice and fresh. All in all, will absolutely be going back!

We love thai food. It was my birthday so we tried nims thai kitchen. As we have been to Thailand a lot, we really like the street food. The food was amazing and it was like being in Thailand again. Great food. Great service. Thank you

Delivered quickly and food was absolutely stunning. Everything felt freshly cooked with a nice crunch to the vegetables and well done meat (not that nasty slimy stuff). The flavours were powerful yet balanced perfectly with just the right amount of chilli heat. The portions were quite frankly huge (especially the noodles) so great value for money. I will quite happily recommend this as the best Thai Restaurant in the area. Top Job!

Lovely food! Finally found some decent eat in Hadleigh!

Been looking for some good Thai food since travelling south east Asia earlier this year. Absolutely beautiful, the panang was just as tasty as the ones we had in Thailand. Will be recommending to family and friends

The people in there are so kind and welcoming. I’ve been going here for some time and there’s a new boy working there with black curly hair. He looks quite young but is absolutely amazing at his job, great fun and really nice to talk to.

So tough to find good Thai food in this part of Essex. Especially for takeaway as it doesn't travel well. Just had Nims and it was fantastic. Red and Masamam curries, with rice and prawn Pad Thai. All authentic, fresh and fabulous taste. Thanks Nims, we will be back.

Brilliant takeaway food. Absolutely fresh and delicious, we had no complaints about any of the dishes we ordered. Hadleigh is very, very lucky to have Nim's in town! Order the Papaya Salad 100% and my personal favourite was the Tom Yum Soup. Must try if you are closeby.

Fantastic Thai takeaway , Full of flavours , try Massaman spicy hot & Pad Thais is superb ,This my Asian go to , better than chinese all cooked to order and fresh

One of the nicest ,freshest curries i have had I went for Massaman Curry and my wife went for Pad Thai both were wonderful ! Highly recommended

I've ordered from Nims on multiple occasions, both for pick-up and delivery, and the food has generally been quite good. However, my recent experience left me disappointed. I ordered dishes including sticky rice, but unfortunately, the food was only warm at best, with the pad Thai being the only dish that was properly warm. This was surprising and frustrating, especially considering I had spent £50 on the order and paid a delivery charge. When I reached out to Nims to express my concerns, I was met with a lack of understanding and unhelpful responses. It was disheartening to encounter this level of customer service, especially when I've had positive experiences in the past. I even mentioned that I might not order again due to this experience, and their response was simply 'okay then.' Nims offers delicious and authentic food, and I've enjoyed it in the past. However, the inconsistency in food temperature and the disappointing customer service make it a hit-and-miss experience. While the food itself has potential, the delivery and customer service aspects need improvement to ensure a consistently positive experience for customers."

I ordered from here a couple of weeks ago for the first time, the food was so good the Thai green curry was packed with flavour, they gave me a free jasmine rice too on delivery which was very much appreciated thank you. I’ve been waiting ages for a local traditional Thai take away and this did not disappoint 👍🏻

Tried for the first time today. If you are reading this review wondering if you fancy trying.... Stop looking and order. The food is amazing!!! Every dish I ordered was cooked with beautiful fresh ingredients. We tried Currys, Kao moo Dang (pork rice dish 👌), papaya salad and the tempura prawns. There's so many dishes we want to try. We will 100% be back and wouldn't think twice to recommend. Get yourselves in there!!!

Really great Thai takeaway. Beautiful freshly cooked authentic food. Be prepared for a long wait for delivery and collection- but well worth the wait.

Disappointed with the takeaway. Chicken was over cooked and chewy for both the Pad Thai and Satay Chicken. Beef was also chewy in the Masaman curry. Lacked flavour also. Hopefully just a teething issue.

authentic Thai food, good value for money

This is the most authentic tasting Thai food I’ve had in a long while!! So delicious, best one in the area. Nim’s is a must! 5 stars ⭐️

Ordered twice and both times been amazing. I don’t usually review but I had to because they were so kind to drive it out to Basildon and the food was just beyond amazing. Flavours are incredible. There were no decent Thai restaurants in this part of Essex. Now there is. 🤘

Having lived 26 years in thailand and loved the food there, I can enthusiastically say that I was thoroughly satisfied with the spectacular food I had there. The Kao moo dang in particular brought back fond memories, a street food not often found anywhere else outside of Thai establishments, and even rarely perfected to the level served on the streets of bangkok. Even better, not only do they serve first-class authentic Thai dishes, but Nims also host a very hospitable service and are very friendly to customers. The menu is also well organised and actually adresses a pet peeve of mine, the fact that every dish is accompanied by a resonable picture of it, for all to see in case your not sure what that dish is. Overall a fantastic service, and wonderful food. Will definetly be viiting again soon. - D & D - 7/05/2023

Ordered a takeway with my family, the food was very nice and fresh. We all thoroughly enjoyed it, not many Thai places around Castlepoint area that provide such quality food. Portion sizes were great to order individually or share among several people. We had a mushroom allergy within the party to which the venue were very accommodating to this. You know when you wanna green Thai curry but it has to be authentic ....well Nims is off to a great start ...for me anyway....thoroughly enjoyed my first takeaway experience from this establishment and if all the food on the menu is as good as this then I will definitely be coming back for more...thankyou...see you soon

we’ve been here twice since it opened, Food is amazing, very fresh ingredients, would highly recommend this place, you can also see the kitchen from outside, it’s a very high standard of clean.

Papaya Salad was far too spicy, with no peanuts. Claimed to be Papaya tasted like shredded Karabi. £7.00 for half a takeaway box with several pieces of cabbage. Tom Yam consist of white onions, stale mushrooms that have turned brown and 4 prawns, soup had been stale in the fridge for so long that it dried up with four prawns, again £7.00 gone down the drain.

We have been hoping for something like this to open in Hadleigh for years and finally our prayers have been answered!! The food is authentic, delicious and really well cooked. The portion sizes are great and reasonably priced. There is so much variety on the menu - we are slowly working our way through it 😆 The staff are lovely too!

Very Good Thai food, having been eating Thai food all my life, I can highly recommend you will get authentic flavours and nice portion sizes.

My second takeaway from this new place. Seriously good food ! The freshest prawns in a fabulous sauce , mixed vegetables cooked just right and Tom Yung Soup perfect ! Highly recommended ! Definitely worth a go !

We absolutely loved our evening takeaway!! Everything was super fresh, the veggies had that amazing crunch to them and all the flavours in the dishes were super tasty. Could pick out a lot of those flavours. None of the food came fatty leaving that oily residue on plates you often get with takeaway foods. Was all very yummy homemade Thai food!! Will definitely be a regular for us!!

Sorry, this has to be the worst food ever Our order was wrong, we asked for spare ribs and got satay chicken! The Thai chicken wings, have no Thai flavour, actually no flavour at all One of the pork dishes on the street food menu, at £13, just tasted of fat Tom yum soup was filled with lemon grass stalks and wilted coriander Don’t waste your money or your meal for the evening

It’s always nice to see new take aways open up and it’s safe to say this place did not disappoint! Food was amazing and fresh! The portion size was perfect and the delivery time was on point im not big on reviews but I had to write one as this place has to tried! 10/10
