We were practically dragged in off the street, not by the staff but by a customer (whom we knew) , otherwise we probably would have gone elsewhere. Our enforced choice was perfect. lovely snack/lunch - excellent Welsh language service and a local ambience - good value for money. The home made "pwdin reis" (Rice Pudding) looked great but maybe next time. Excellent little cafe. Good choice made on our behalf..!

I visited here a year ago whilst working in bala and recently back as I remembered the food was great. To my delight it was still absolutely delicious - full English breakfasts. All meats and eggs are locally sourced according to a sign inside and you can tell as the bacon was a thick piece and eggs cooked to perfection.

Called in for a light lunch which consisted of cheese on toast and a ham and cheese toastie. The toastie consisted of really tasty cheese and thick slices of ham and came with a side order of salad ,crisps and coleslaw. Very reasonably priced, quick service and would call in again.

We recently enjoyed a lovely lunch here while visiting Bala. We had a cheese and onion toastie and a chicken goujon wrap. Both were very tasty and came with a lovely side salad. Staff were very friendly and the food was great value for money.

I am working a lot in Bala over the summer and often on a Monday I travel up and try get in early so I get time to have breakfast and a coffee at this great little cafe on the high st. The staff are so friendly and make you feel really welcome. If I can’t stop to eat I often get a take away Americano coffee which is a really good coffee. Great cafe

Really friendly little place. Really reasonable prices, only 7 pounds for a full breakfast and a brew! Definitely a great place to get a Sunday morning breakfast.

We called in today for a quick lunch and were impressed by the very reasonable prices for good quality food. I enjoyed a ham sandwich with side salad, coleslaw and crisps for just £2.80! The daily special advertised on the blackboard was a steak baguette with mushrooms, onions, fries and salad for just six pounds. Staff were friendly, service was reasonably quick for freshly prepared food - and they speak English! (Decor, tables and mats could do with a tidy).

We stopped here for breakfast twice, having been disappointed by the service at another establishment. The breakfast rolls are tasty, especially the sausages, and both the tea and coffee were good. Fair prices and very friendly service. Outdoor seating where you can eat your food whilst enjoying the beautiful views of Llanberis and its surroundings. Also does delicious cakes, milkshakes and hot chocolate. Highly recommended.

I'm actually gutted to be writing this review as we thought we had found a good haunt when we first tried last week. 2 adults & 2 children all had a lovely lunch time meal the previous week so we rebooked for the 2 adults for an evening meal the following weekend. The starter was lovely for both of us but we both ordered fillet steak for our main and I don't know what meat it was but it certainly wasn't a beef steak. It didn't look like one, taste like one or even cut like one. I was genuinely gutted as it has put me off going back again because I feel like it's just rude to expect somebody not to notice and left feeling like we've been totally ripped off. You don't order a fillet steak if you don't know exactly what to expect on your plate so the audacity to think you can pull that off is unbelievable. I can't complain about the service, both times it has been spot on, lovely women but unfortunately we won't be returning after been served that.

On a recent visit to Barmouth we found this little Gem of a place that is open on Sundays. There was a special board out side and it was the Cheese and Onion pie that drew us in . Both my husband and me had this and it came with new potatoes and salad . It was delicious and very reasonably priced . We were naughty and were too tempted by the delicious homemade sweets and puds they had to offer . I had the jam and coconut cake and my husband opted for the apple pie. They were presented lovely with fruit and a pot of cream on the side. The staff were friendly and attentive. Will definitely be returning next time we are in Barmouth

Lovely little dog friendly cafe in the heart of the village. Warm welcome by the host and his friendly staff. Typical Welsh weather and unfortunately the biffolding doors were closed in July however will visit again when the sun is out Diolch
