We took advantage of the early bird menu, plenty of choice. Excellent and attentive service. Food was delicious. A very enjoyable experience.

This place has really good, tasty and fresh Chinese food. The absolute best thing about it is its service . Stefan is a brilliant host giving every customer a personal welcome . He makes the evening every time we go . He’s warm, welcoming , professional and funny . Je is the atmosphere! A huge thank you for making every visit enjoyable !

And yet again excellent food and great service. The only downside was the brilliant manager, Stefan, was on a hen-do, so we did not receive his awesome welcome and attention. Never have we had a bad meal here.

The wife and I had a reasonable Anniversary meal here. We arrived at 6pm on a Thursday with no reservation. They were able to accommodate plus which was great. Service was fantastic, the staff are very attentive, saying that the place was empty when we arrived. Ribs for starters were amazing. Mains: beef curry and Thai sweet chilli chicken. Flavours were great in the chicken dish, curry was a little bland but ok. We enjoyed ourselves but we wouldn't return due to the prices and the mains being underwhelming. Ribs starters £11, mains £20 (ish).

Welcoming staff, fast service, fresh ingredients. Unfortunately it is old-school-UK-Chinese restaurant dishes with inauthentic versions of MSG inspired sweet or sour gloop —only at high prices that fool you into thinking you might get something modern/authentic/good. If you enjoy basic takeaway style Chinese food: it’s fine.

Had a table booked for 18.00pm on the 24.08.2024 Not been to this restaurant for several years. Great experience, had a table for 2 on the ground floor next to the window. The gentleman who took our order (apologies as I didn't get his name, I think he was the Manager) couldn't have been more helpful ( he sat down at our table and navigated us through the menu). Food and drink were first class. All round great meal and experience. Look forward to another visit soon.

I received two £60 vouchers for Nikki Ips restaurant as a Christmas gift in 2023, totalling £120. We used one voucher in February and spent around £50. When we asked if we could have the remaining £10 as a voucher for our next visit, Stefan, the manager, was completely unhelpful and insisted we had to spend it all in one go. We ended up buying a drink just to use up the balance and left disappointed. We planned to use the second voucher for our anniversary in August 2024, only to discover it had expired in June 2024—just six months after it was issued! When I called the restaurant and unfortunately spoke to Stefan again, he bluntly informed me there was nothing they could do. He mentioned that other customers had recently called with the same issue, claiming it would have been explained when the voucher was purchased. I found this hard to believe since I had bought vouchers for my parents around the same time, and no such restriction was mentioned. It feels like Nikki Ips is scamming customers with these short expiry dates, and Stefan’s dismissive attitude only made the situation worse. I've never encountered a restaurant voucher with such a limited time frame, and it seems like many others have been caught out by this tactic. I would strongly advise avoiding this restaurant—especially if you have to deal with Stefan, who is as unhelpful as they come. Save your money and spend it somewhere that values its customers and doesn't play games with their vouchers.

Phenomenal food been here twice and yet again the food was a different level to anything in the area, I will pay for quality all day and this is it exeptional flavours there is nothing close to this on the area , there’s a reason there fully booked all weekend, bravo 👏

Quality Chinese food with a wide array of options to choose from on the menu. Zero complaints.

There is not much on this side of the river so choices are limited unless you get a taxi into the town so this was nice to walk to .It’s a nice contemporary layout with plenty of seating spaces. It appears that the locals know the team as they were very friendly with regards to each other which was nice. However, it does take some time to get served I think we waited over 30 minutes before our order was taken. It is very expensive for a Chinese probably 25% more than your average restaurant and I do not believe it is worth it. They do try some inventive mixes but overall I don’t think it was worth the money. The server tried to make us feel sympathetic telling us how much the overheads have gone up hence why he needed to increase the prices, that’s fine, but if you’re charging high prices the food should be exceptional and I have to say it wasn’t. It was a nice meal. It just isn’t exceptional

Best Asian food so far after one week in UK. The chef recommended the Singapore Vermicelli and custom made a fish with oyster sauce dish. Ordered curry chicken and spring roll as well and honest, all the dishes were delicious. Highly recommend to come if you need your Asian taste buds satisfied. We cleaned the plates with just the 2 of us.

This without doubt is the one of the best Chinese restaurants in the area and it has been for a number of years. Quality doesn’t come cheap and you pay more here but that is well worth it. We have eaten in Michelin starred Chinese restaurant in London and none have bettered the food here. Some have equalled but at a price far higher than Nikki Ipps. Staff are helpful and attentive and will tell you if they think you are ordering too much food,!which is nice to see. The food is just constantly good and we have been going since they had the first restaurant in Westshore. Would thoroughly recommend and we will certainly go again.

We came in on a spur of the moment thing as our car had broken down, down the road. We had a baby and 1 young child and an 87 mile journey back home. The manager (I’m guessing) was so helpful and kindly let us sit at the bar on a jam packed evening as we waited for recovery from AA. Gave us drinks free of charge and even charged our phones. This kind gesture done more for us than you could imagine. So Thankyou so much! We didn’t have food but it did smell absolutely amazing. Thankyou so much for your kind hospitality. The food is good, but never worth the money they charge. Wine prices are comparable with other restaurants in the area. The staff are welcoming but the decor isn’t inviting. There are better places to eat in the area at sensible prices!

Was so looking forward to taking my wife out for a meal. We have visited Nikki ips a few times over the years and was looking forward to a very rare meal together without our children, we were both really looking forward to it however our night was sadly spoilt by a lady that should know better. When we arrived at the table and we were seated by a 3 couples with 1 particular ‘lady’ who was exceptionally loud. It was hard to enjoy our meal as the lady was so loud and was desperately hoping that someone would come over to politely ask that she lowered her voice slightly. It’s a small place so people would have heard her. Her language was vulgar and she completely spoilt our evening. She made several inappropriate comments. When paying the bill my wife expressed her disappointment and it would have nice to speak to the manager to explain how disappointed we both were that our rate night out had been so spoilt. Someone should have asked the lady to keep it down as we feel it was money wasted.

We have been a few times previously and really enjoyed the food. This evenings meal (table was booked for 6:30pm) was spoilt by a rowdy table, one particular lady had a foul mouth, made racist and sexual comments. She was very loud. Unfortunately this lady spoilt our meal by her awful comments making us feel very, very uncomfortable. Nikki Ips is obviously small and there was no free tables far enough way from them. Was so looking forward to it but it was spoilt. The food was lovely. I did mention when paying the bill that how our night sadly had been spoilt but the lad looked uncomfortable and muttered sorry.

Visiting Deganwy again and popped in for lunch deal. Seafood pancake starter was packed with Prawns and bursting with flavour. Had fish main which was like a stir-fry with lots of veg inside. Absolutely fantastic. Can't praise this place enough and can't wait to come back! Was looked after by Dillon this time, lovely person, great service, thank you. Just been in as fancied something light for lunch. The aromas definitely entice you in from far!! Explained to the gentleman (sorry I did not take your name) I was torn between 2 dishes (sides) and asked about the portion sizes. I'm so pleased I just had 1 side! Went for the Singapore Noodles with Prawns, Pork and Mixed Veg. Couldn't eat them quick enough when I got back but the whole portion was equivalent to a main so had to tear myself away from eating it all! Very well done and thank you. I will definitely be back 😀 So good I went back to get the same for dinner!

We have dined here five times in the last two years when visiting North Wales. Nothing has ever disappointed us. Stefan is the perfect host and all his staff are friendly. Nothing pretentious and a very warm environment. Can't wait to visit again in 2024.

Never been disappointed here. Food and service always superb. Everything cooked fresh , quality ingredients and amazing mix of flavours. We particularly enjoyed the sea bass in soy, the szechuan sweet and sour chicken which was quite different, heavy on garlic and vinegar but stunning, and Singapore noodles, probably the best we've tasted. Thank you to all the Team , we look forward to the next time!

I was so disappointed with our treatment I had to leave a review. We turned up my parter myself and my son. I asked if they had any high chairs with was a sorry we don’t. Which is fine a lot of places don’t so I asked my partner to go get the pram. On entering the bar I was shown to our table in the window, to then be told they do not have high chairs or allow prams in a manner that i felt embarrassed. His excuse was fire regulations, which would also include wheelchairs. In all my years of working In hospitality I have never heard of. Now the reason my son needs his pram is he has a disability and isn’t able to sit in a chair, I am also his carer so he isn’t able to be left with anyone other than myself and his dad so we don’t have the luxury of getting a baby sitter to go for a nice meal just the two of us. We were left upset and angered by our treatment, we went to the Vietnamese restaurant down the road and they were more than happy to squeeze our pram in with all the risks involved.

Just the same brilliant experience in both the staff and the food. Regular staff that we have seen over the last few years and the food is just so consistently nice it’s as if they never change the ingredients. nikki ips Hello! I am Chef Afeng from Madrid, Spain, who worked in your restaurant in 2005. I wonder if you still remember me. This restaurant was already famous far and wide, and the food here is said to be delicious by all the customers who have been here.

In no way a traditional Chinese experience.... Decor not to our taste and not an actual Chinese person in sight, chefs or waiting staff! Lacked atmosphere. Food good but served with a tiny bowl to eat from. Personally I much prefer a plate! Expensive!

The tastiest and probably best Chinese meal I have had, with unusual and subtle tastes. Plates and food delivered hot. Couldn't fault it.

Mediocre food relative to the premium prices. Poor selection for vegetarians, the banquet option pushed the cheaper menu items and the staff were grumpy. Also, the pork and beef dishes were stingy on the meat, they were very bulked out with vegetables. Not terrible but disappointing.

I had two amazing meals at Nikki Ipp's Chinese Restaurant in Deganwy, both for lunch and dinner. The food was outstanding, with fresh and authentic flavors that impressed me. The service was attentive and friendly, and the ambiance was cozy and inviting. I highly recommend Nikki Ipp's for an excellent Chinese dining experience.

We dined here while we were staying in Deganway the food is amazing ,portions good size ,everything was fresh and delicious we started with crispy duck then two prawn dishes and noodles with bean shoots service very good and friendly .Thoroughly recommend this restaurant, wish we didn’t live 250 miles away .we would be there every week .We both want to say thank you Sue Kevin Griffins 😁

Weekend evening meal. + Staff / front of house very friendly + Meat quality is excellent + Big portions + Nice decor / setting - Main dish was disappointing (brandy / chilli fillet beef didn't taste of either, more like a black bean / oyster sauce dish - as it would be from a typical takeaway) - Prices are outrageously high. Examples; starters are ~£10, all mains are £17-20 (without a side), sides are £4-10 (£7.50 for noodles is criminal). Disappointing. Won't visit again. Needs strong competition in the area.

This was a very unique service,as Steffan customises the service to suit u,he listens and offers great advice to help you make the correct food choice,if your unsure(like me) on what to order. it was outstanding this 1 to 1 unlike any other restuarant I have visited in this region.Bravo for a 5 star service u made my 50th birthday a day to remember ❤ the food was utterly superb as recommended by Steffan. Myself & partner Mark never stray and always pick the same foods,just incase we dont like the choices we make. So it was a joy to have a break down of the menu and to be asked questions i.e do you like hot or spicy etc. The starter was WOW amazing the mixed platter. The main meals OMG I have never ever tried food of this standard it totally blew my mind & left myself & Mark wanting more. Steffan also surprised me with an ice cream bomb at the end & the whole place sang Happy birthday 🎂 what an end to a sensational evening of 5 star food 💫💫💫💫💫 . Would highly recommend Nikki Ips this leaves every other restaurant in the region behind. Its authentic foods are a taste sensation and we would happily return!! 😁❤

Visited Nikki Ips for the early bird menu on a weekend break to Wales. The restaurant was quiet as it was quite early in the afternoon, but very well kept and still a lovely atmosphere by the waterside. We were greeted and served by Stefan who is a true credit to the restaurant and gave us such wonderful service. We ordered the King Do Pork & crispy shredded beef fillet, it was unlike any Chinese dishes I’ve eaten before but brilliant. The meat was so tender and delicious. Stefan gave us great recommendations and details about the dishes and even arranged some deep fried ice cream for a birthday treat. We had a wonderful meal and it was made even better by the great service we received from Stefan. I will absolutely be recommending Nikki Ips to any friends and family visiting the area.

The decor is very attractive. The menu was inviting ( rather overpriced). The staff we’re possibly overwhelmed as it was a busy Friday night & we had a long waits for everything we ordered. The worst was the use of MSG in the food. I woke in the early hours with an incredible thirst, Headache. Flushing. Sweating. Dizzy. Face & eyes puffy, fluttering heart rate… typical reactions to MSG which I had not expected in such a place. So I didn’t think to ask the question. Dissatisfied as the meal was a birthday gift.

Great food and service as usual. Unfortunately, the lunchtime menu charge has increased to a level that means we might have to pop in less frequently. The cost is understandable in the current financial climate though, and no different to many other restaurants, so I've not factored this in the score.

Brilliant really enjoyed it, food was fantastic, long may it continue this way. Particularly enjoyed the fact That one member of staff was especially knowledgeable and were able to advise on the food towards something I would particularly enjoy.

Absolutely amazing food and great service. Well done to the team at Nikki Ips, highly recommended. The Prawn Wontons were packed with prawns and the Fillet of Beef Noodles was the softest, tastiest beef I've ever had in a Chinese dish. Rounded off with deep fried Ice Cream - delightful.

We have visited twice in July and September 2022 while staying in Conwy. We have really enjoyed each meal. Stefan is a lovely host and his warmth and friendliness stand out. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the food. The food is perfectly cooked and presented and we shall be booking the next time we stay in Conwy.

There cannot be many restaurants in UK that can offer such high quality food and selection of dishes as Nikki Ips. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. A really pleasurable dining experience.
