Best café breakfast I’ve had in a long time. Freshly cooked to perfection, good sized portions. Staff are friendly, helpful and cheerful. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. I can’t recommend the café highly enough.

What a great little cafe The wife and I called here on a rather chilly and windy saturday, it was quite a surprise, we've never been to the cafe in here before but we have glanced around down stairs. The staff were nice, friendly and helpful, the two specific (fussy) coffees were brought to our table relatively quickly and were just as we requested. The drinks came to £4.60 and were worth every penny. They also sold other drinks and snack including a few cakes etc on the counter. Their was plenty of spaced out seating which was reassuring, especially in these strange times.

Lovely staff who are a credit to the organisation. Had a pit stop on my bike and they allowed me to bring it inside as I forgot my lock. Great coffee too. Just what I needed!

Went here for a drink and snack about 11.30am, the place was very busy serving cooked breakfasts . Managed to get a table and ordered coffee and toast. Drinks came very quickly shortly followed by toast. The coffee is not the best in town but was acceptable. Staff were very good all volunteers for the hospice. Would I recommend well there are many cafes better in town, so the answer is not really

Love popping in here for a coffee and sandwich or soup of the day and crusty roll. It's clean, staff are very friendly and helpful, also a great menu. And a good feeling that you are helping nightingale house hospice. After having a good sort out, l always take my clothing etc into the store. They have new pieces of furniture and electrical items in the store, not just second hand. Everything is of great quality. Well worth a browse around.

The up cycled furniture is fab and really cheap. The large breakfast for £4.95 was spot on, very tasty and great quality. The staff are so nice and friendly what a great place to visit.

Not the best for sure. Not sure what to say about a hard piece of cake and coffee that is so weak i thought it was tea

I bought an item there last week and called into the coffee shop upstairs afterwards. The place is ok but a bit austere. Cramped into a corner of the room which is full of 2nd hand stuff! There was not a lot of choice - prepacked sandwiches ect., breakfast in every permutation and soup which I order and that in fairness was very nice, I also had a latte which was awful. Although the cafe had large heaters dotted around, which had no guards on and looked quite dangerous for anyone who sat too close to them. It did feel very cold in there and it was depressing to be honest. A few young people walked in, looked around and walked out! While I was sitting there having my soup I did think it reminded me a bit of an old church hall I used to go to in Liverpool about 50 years ago when I was doing a course with the MOD, all the down and outs used to go there as well, sorry but the new cafe here just makes me think of a SOUP KITCHEN and is not a patch on their sister coffee shop, the Cafe Cwtch.

I'm going to be honest, I'm baffled by the positive reviews? We called in on our way back from Erddig Parkrun for breakfast after a recommendation. There were 3 tables of 4 to a table of us. We were shouted at that "we should have pre-ordered". We weren't aware, so apologies, but in our defence, nowhere is it stated that pre-orders should be made? We didn't expect our food to be arriving all at the same time, as in the 12 of us, but we could reasonably expect it to arrive a table at a time? If you're providing tables and chairs to accommodate around 24-28 people, surely you should be able to serve them? We asked for oat milk - I have a lactose intolerance. Not available. I had almond but if you had a nut allergy too, this would be impossible. We all got our drinks haphazardly - mine was lukewarm. I didn't complain because I couldn't be bothered after all of the chaos of drinks not being delivered table by table. Out of our party of 12, 3 of us hadn't got our orders an hour and a half after ordering. One lady, who is Dairy intolerant also, was given a "vegan breakfast" with eggs on it. She had to send it back and point out that the menu said 2 hash browns and toast - she'd received no toast and 1 hash brown. When her toast arrived, it had butter on it. She had to send it back. We had to request a refund as my food hadn't arrived and I had to get going. Lovely surroundings, chaos in service and food delivery. Sorry but giving Dairy free people Dairy is not good; neither is not serving people within 90 minutes.

Love this place, I've been quite a few times in the past and i think the food is always great, just like home cooked with a great selection of really good quality meats, the staff are really helpful and there are traditional ales behind the bar, (not sure how often they change there guest ales), they have an xmas menu out at the moment so I may be making another visit 😋

Lovely fish and chips only problem disabled people can't get in shop due to high step and no handrail.
