Nico's Cafe Bar in Glasgow City

Stopped in for a pint with my good lady yesterday afternoon and this place was lively with a DJ playing dance tunes and full of younger people but had a good atmosphere for a Saturday afternoon but found the young guy behind the bar a dour faced git with no people skills. My partner thought at first it was just us he being like that cos we were older but when a younger crowd came in I watched him waving his arms about looking annoyed at them also cos they were taking there time to pay him. I then went to the nxt bar up the road and the barman there was cracking jokes with me so know what bar I'll be visiting nxt time I'm down that part of the city.

We had a great time in this bar, we watched here a football game. The bartender was very friendly and even advised us to order cheaper beer. :)

Amazing place to host an event or Dj set however the bar staff have 0 people skills and lack ability to smile and are severely rude to the customers ruins the place

Visiting from the states, lovely pub good atmosphere well looked after by brilliant barmaids Nadia and Anna, will be back if ever in Scotland again! 😁

Came here on birthday party after a hockey game, bartenders were amazing and really welcoming. Thanks Nadia and Anna - they really solidified a great birthday with their help!! Definitely coming again

Decent enough bar, shame the same can't be said of the young lady behind the bar who refused to call us a cab as we wanted to go to a known Rangers bar. We won't be back.

Came here on a Wednesday for a pint. No crowds and the place was absolutely quiet. Got a pint of Amstel at £2.39... Cheap as heck on this street (the exception is spoons down the road but it's way warmer with stickier tables) Lovely quiet place on the weekday to grab a cheap pint and catch up with friends! Not sure about the weekend vibes judging from other reviews...

Nice location in the Greek business area of food and drinks Oakleigh. The collection of pastries between Greek, Oriental and European is amazing.

Reasonable priced city centre boozer.

Nice decor and lovely staff but floor was sticky like a thousand drinks had been spilled on it and not properly cleaned. A group of guys seemed to be having a great time so if that's your thing, go for it, but the atmosphere for me was a bit meh.

Just had a wee incident with Nicos staff absolutely disgusting that that staff can treat wee lassies in such a degrading Manor shame on you Nicos terrible that so called men on the door can show utter disrespect to young women on a night out , horrific 😢

£2 for a pint of Amstel Lager Mon-Thurs

Went in poster on the wall said all day today get s pint for £3 but when i asked for one and was charged £4 odd the attitude on the wee lassie behind the bar is the reason its onlg got one star. Won't be back and will tell lots of people about it !

The home of the £2 pint. Was offered Heineken as the usual special offer brand of Amstel was out of stock. More a weekend party venue given its location

Great atmosphere, 3 levels so something for everyone and the best was on the lower level with the Latin American dancing - mesmerising

Nico's is a nice bar, very friendly staff, abby and laura especially. The music could do with more variety, for all ages but when I asked for a song to be played , they played it. We enjoyed our night.

Great if you are into bass led ear shattering music that makes it impossible to talk socially, but then I am a bit older. Not for me, but a great Sauvignon Blanc available by the glass at a reasonable price

Girls on the bar were lovely to me and my sister visiting one Thursday night. Great little atmosphere and wasn't too busy this particular night.

Staff often partied here at weekends when we where supposed to have a lockdown. All sat at the bar with alcoholic beverages on the counter. No social distancing either. Not so good.

Bought a bottle of wine. The girl opened a new bottle in front of me and the wine was fizzing out of the bottle. Instead of stopping it with like a towel or something she literally shoved it in her mouth and drinks the fizz. She gave me a new bottle obviously and was really sorry and everything, great service!

Dance techno bar. Good spot depending on DJ.

Yeah... not changed since I was last here! Last time I frequented Nico's, I was 19: I danced on the tables; I pulled the girl I fancied; I went onto the Garage and forgot it all. A lifetime later, I revisit an old haunt that has always held a special place in the heart of the student that still resides somewhere in this father of three. If you are reading this in order to confirm your choice of venue for your weekend, or even weekday in Glasgow; look no further. Any student worth his or her salt would better spend their time in this jovial institution, than queue for firewater: a pub that opened in 2001 and has never impressed this humble reviewer. In an age where Sauchiehall Street is somewhat unrecognisable to a prevous generation; Shine on, you perennial diamond.

Went to EH1 with all the troops fae nicos bar and it was jumping had a blast Oioi

Absolute disgrace. There were actually children packing the place. Obviously they don't care or don't ID anyone. Honestly was like being at a school disco. Meant to be a nice birthday night out but the attitude of staff, all the kids about and extortionate prices made it an awful night. The licensing board should pop in, they'd have a field day. Staff need sent on a customer service course.

Went in for a pint as I was passing, it was £3 for 330ml bottle of Stella Artois which I thought was expensive but probably the going rate for the city centre, the staff were friendly and helpful and the customers were ok and had football on the TV 👍

Fun techno/house bar. Reasonably priced, awesome drinks selection. Also sells Dragon Soop if you're on a mad one! Friendly staff too.

They turned me away as I was walking suspicious, I am disabled. I always walk that way.

Only one person knew how to make a margarita but it was bloody good and that's what counts.

Just visited once, watched a football match on a Sunday at lunchtime, great staff nice bar comfortable seats.

Always been a good pub, good to see the crowds coming back like the old school days!

We went for dinner on my birthday and it was really good food! They accommodated for our party of vegans and a celiac amazingly! One down side was that we sat next to the open kitchen where the heat lamps are which meant we were rather warm...

Great little bar on Sauchiehall that has a good selection of Czech beers. I stopped by for a pint on the way back to the flat so in the early afternoon so it was pretty much deserted but it's been quite busy on the weekends and later at night. I would definitely give it a shot.

First visit but not my last, I'll be back , I arrived at 2-15 and stayed till 9-15 liked the bar & staff made you feel welcome no problems getting drinks toilets clean & tidy , good atmosphere.

A very crowded bar near the Charing Cross end of Sauchiehall Street with quite an eclectic mix, old and young, with loud music and sports on the TV, service was fast and drinks not too expensive, bar was a bit clatty, floor was sticky my one gripe

Its okay for a quick drink. Can be too busy at weekends

Bouncer turned us away because he said there wasn't space, then let other people in as we walked away. I went to ask his name to leave feedback and he came across aggressive, telling me he didn't need to tell me that. I said that was fine, he could have just said no. Wasn't impressed by the attitude at all. Would perhaps benefit from better staff or at least a bouncer that doesn't discriminate and let young girls in instead of my group of guys.

Was repeatedly harassed by the pub dog. Decide. Are you a bar or a kennel. Left after 5 minutes
