Nickys Cafe & Diner in Great Yarmouth

Return visit so we knew what to expect so wasn’t surprised to get a great full english breakfast. Quality ingredients is the key here along with really friendly helpful staff. Great place.

Just had a great experience at Nicky’s, my partner and I both had the big boy breakfast and were very pleased with it. Excellent quality and well cooked, the sausages were particularly good quality. The staff were very helpful and friendly, happy to make the breakfasts exactly as we wanted. Very clean as well, would definitely recommend.

Great cafe serving great breakfast. This is a busy but well organised traditional cafe serving, in my opinion the best breakfast in Yarmouth. This is down to using good quality ingredients cooked perfectly and served by nice friendly people. Couldn’t fault it !

The food was amazing and was cooked perfectly. Portion sizes were outstanding with the price being super affordable. The staff was really nice and welcoming as well as not waiting any longer than 10 mins for all my food. Would 100% recommend to anyone visiting here or looking for they’re daily coffee mornings or just for your lovely breakfast/Lunch!

Im surprised that you're still in business at the extortionate prices you charge. Food was sloppy and very greasy, i would not recommend.

We must have gone past this cafe so many times over the years and never been in. Arriving in Yarmouth early we were looking for somewhere serving breakfast and this seemed to tick the box. Not the biggest of buildings but set out so my wife's wheelchair could get through. Friendly staff we ordered the 2nd biggest breakfast, after eating it we were so pleased that we didn't order the biggest one as we would have never managed it Despite being Easter Monday and expecting a bit of a wait, food came very quickly, was piping hot and very tasty. Will definitely visit again in the future

We randomly chose this cafe to grab some lunch as we were passing by and the kids were getting hungry. I wish we had carried on walking past and found somewhere else. They have a five star hygiene rating on the door so I was surprised to see kitchen staff in their own clothes and the cook eating whilst preparing customers food. I had a hair in my meal which is obviously very off putting so of course I told a member of staff. She took it away and asked if I wanted anything else but didn't apologise. We ordered a kids chicken meal and two kids pizzas meals which comes with chips and a drink (50p extra for a fruit shoot type drink) so £6.50 which seems reasonable until you're served 1/2 a microwaved small chicago town pizza. We didn't want to make a fuss so tried to discreetly talk to someone to say we weren't very happy to pay that prize for half of a pizza but three out of the four staff came over and were really rude. I was still sat at the table with the kids whilst my partner was talking to them yet I could hear it. When he asked about the half a pizza one of them rudely said it's a kids portion. On the menu picture it's a full pizza. If it was a kids portion should I expect half of the chicken meal or half a sausage, as it's a kids portion? They removed one of the kids meals off the bill. Fine, thank you! Then we hear, "there's just no pleasing some people!" Unnecessary and rude! If you see a picture of the meal you're ordering you expect it to resemble it! Perhaps they need to alter the menu so you get what you're ordering. I would like to point out one of the girls was lovely, she was interacting with the kids and apologised to us as we were leaving. But AVOID!!!

We had breakfast here this morning and the food was amazing! Staff were very friendly and service was excellent. We will definitely be back when we next visit Great Yarmouth!

We visited Nicky’s cafe for breakfast and to begin with all seemed good. But things turned sour when we made a comment on the food. One of our four breakfasts had scrambled eggs. The eggs were dry from being microwaved so we asked for butter to moisten them up. But the eggs were so cold that the butter didn’t even melt. We asked for the bacon to be well done on all of the breakfasts but on the same plate as the scrambled eggs the bacon was only cooked on one side. We didn’t get a check back (to see if all was ok) so when we finally caught someone’s attention we were addressed by the manager. She was rude and dismissive. I then had to call her back and tell her that on another plate there was a hair in the beans hence why they’ve not been touched. She said that she never gets complaints. (Every company gets them) I suggested that they should be wearing hair nets and the cook should be wearing a net on his beard whenever working around food. Not one person wore gloves either. I said that her customer service was almost non existent. When a customer is making a complaint you should be doing all you can to apologise and correct a mistake so that you get repeat customers, I was just met with “we don’t need your money “ from another customer and from the manager “I know how to run a business” You shouldn’t have to ask for an apology, you should have to point out the wrong things going on. Although she raised her voice and angrily said “you know what don’t pay just leave” we still paid for the food but was then ushered out from the cafe and the door shut behind us from a member of staff. A lot to be desired

Popped in today, really friendly service and well organised, staff all working together like a well oiled machine. Service was excellent and the server was very helpful. I popped up to the till to pay and noticed the place was spotless. It's a shame we were only here for the day however this is definitely a hidden gem.

Omg amazing, the best breakfast we have had in a long, all the right items on the menu, I had the regular breakfast and it was cooked perfect and loads of it. Then the pancakes homemade which we wasn’t expecting and they were delicious. A must for anyone to try. Also has other main dishes which all sound good. Friendly staff which adds to the experience. We had a great breakfast here at Nicky’s cafe & diner. All freshly cooked from good quality produce, at a good price considering the quality. No catering sausage here. Nice friendly staff in a nice clean environment.

Popped in for breakfast today 27/07/23 around 08.40 had two big boy breakfasts, coffee & a cold drink, breakfast was absolutely lovely, we are definitely popping in again tomorrow morning. Definitely worth a visit if in Great Yarmouth, staff are friendly and approachable.

We place a weekly breakfast order for workshop and admin, usually for 10-15 people. Sarah and her team never fail to deliver fresh, tasty, hot food and always on time. Today we had a short order for a few dishes with chilli and it was amazing. Well done Nicky's 😁

We came in for breakfast on saturday morning, we had never been here before but we were so impressed, generous portions , value for money and a very happy and friendly staff. i really cannot recommend highly enough.

Nice pick for a filling lunch... Originally we planned to get fish and chips but all the places with seating inside were full and was too chilly to sit outside. We weren't disappointed. 2 of our party had the fish and chips and reported fish was just as good as a chip shop, and the chunky chips were nice and crisp (although not quite 'chippy chips'). Chicken Nuggets for littlun, Nice southern fried style chicken. Strips for another and chilli and cheese loaded fries. Including drinks came to about 50 quid for 5 which isn't too bad in this day and age in the middle of a tourist hot-spot. Friendly service from the staff too

First time here and it’s spacious which is great when you’re loaded with a rucksack. The safe very friendly and quickly took our order. The portions are excellent and very hot. Brilliant worth the visit.

We were staying just around the corner and had breakfast at Nicky's almost every day during the week. Good portions on a variety of sized breakfasts. Very reasonably priced, tasted great and above all the service was super friendly and impeccable. By the end of the week they knew what we wanted without us even having to say. Great way to start the day. Harbour Radio was playing a great variety of old and new tunes while we ate which was nice. Seats were really comfy too. Gem of a find. Highly recommend.

We went to Nickys Diner today for our breakfast this morning service was brilliant greeted with a very nice waitress and service was amazing. Didn't have to wait long for our drinks and our breakfast. The food we were served was cooked perfect and we both very much enjoyed our food. We were a group of six who rolled up for quite a late lunch. We received a lovely friendly welcome and great service. The sausage eaters raved about the quality of the meat, the vegetarian sends huge thanks for having veggie sausages cooked to order, and the loaded chips went on forever!

If you want a decent coffee- don’t go in here. Maybe the food is ok, we didn’t go that far so can’t comment but the coffee was diabolical. If you’ve ever seen the Thames river water up close it matches the colour perfectly. 👍🏻 £5 down the drain. Literally.

Came in here twice as found some of the other cafes prices slightly higher and quality looked less. The breakfasts were lovely. Also very accommodating as had brown bread and was able to do scrambled eggs as a swap for us.

Try finding gluten free options on the sea front! I did here, even gf bread. Reasonable price, lots of choice, good food and really lovely staff. All meals available to children at half price, will definitely be back.
