Newtonpizza in St. Helens

I went online and seen the reviews so thought i would try, I was disgusted, my chicken was black, look liked it had been in a heating cabinet for over a day, i couldnt eat it, the chips was raw, total waste of money, so sorry to be negative but this is how my food was. i didnt visit the pshop i had it delivered. i won 10 pounds on the postcode lottery so thougt i would treat myself. how wrong was i

Went to Cancello restaurant mid afternoon for a celebration lunch. Seven adults and one child (3 year old). A great afternoon, lovely venue, staff very attentive and friendly, great food and we were made to feel very welcome! Relaxing atmosphere, not rushed and staff always available but unobtrusive. Great to see a good number of young people on service, led by a very professional management team. Excellent starters, and we ordered a couple of things not obvious on the menu, but accommodated with no problem. Olives and bread basket. Main meals all excellent, pasta good portions, large tasty pizza's and the lamb rump steak was excellent. Asked for some of the pasta as 'extra spice' and it came with extra chilli and herbs. All food was served on hot plates, so food was hot on arrival and stayed warm which was much appreciated. Pricing was fair (competitive compared to other local restaurants) would definitely recommend and return.

Go here with my grandad as its basically his second home 😂 the staff are great with him and always look after him and also the food is always good! No Complaints 😄

Lovely food, would highly recommend the roasts on a Sunday as well as lasagna! In fact, everything was so tasty and came out piping hot! Thanks to our servers, great service!
