Great time at the billinge Arms.

Went in for lunch and the salads, prawns and smoked salmon were delicious. There was a problem with the card machine and the waitress and Luke were extremely helpful and waived my bill for the inconvenience. A very pleasant pub, I won't go in pubs on my own usually, but The Billinge Arms is a very welcoming and comfortable place for lunch.

Visited the billinge Arms a couple of times and on each occasion the food as been excellent Staff very friendly and professional They have a very good menu with plenty of choice would highly recommend the lamb roast and the Indian curry which my husband had and said it was one of the best curries he's ever eaten

Had Sunday roast beef very good

We had a restaurant quality Indian takeaway at the weekend. Highly recommended would be samosas seekh kebabs butter chicken and homemade naan.We will certainly be back to sample the other authentic dishes soon.

Late lunch hit all the markers for what we needed

Excellent village pub/restaurant with great food and drinks choices with a friendly atmosphere and staff.

Lovely 3 course meal from Christmas menu today with 2 friends very tasty nice and hot. Recommended.

Our party of five decided to share a selection off the Indian menu rather than the very interesting pub menu. The starters and mains were equal to any well known Indians in Manchester,especially the samosas,bhajis and chicken tikka sizzler.Service was efficient and the pub had a great friendly feel to it. We will certainly return.

Great food with friendly service

Called in for lunch. I had the chicken and mushroom Penne pasta and my partner had the Burger. The Burger was a proper meat juicy burger not the usual flat tasteless burger you often get in a pub. My pasta was cooked to perfection and very very tasty. One of the best ever I’ve eaten and I’ve eaten in some very good restaurants. We then tried pudding!! And WOW the salted caramel sponge pudding with custard was to die for 💕💕 Will definitely be back soon. Nice atmosphere good service and tasty food. Superb value for money. 💕

Great for kids and food up to scratch.

Welcomed (which is a promising start). Wide menu and willing to cater for dietary issues. Good service from a young waiter. Fundamentally pub food but served well. Chips especially good!

Stopped for lunch today at the Billinge Arms. The food was freshly cooked and delicious. Service was attentive and friendly. The price point was very reasonable considering the cost of living crisis and great value for money. Although the weather wasn’t great today but we really look forward to coming back on a sunny day as the outdoor space is amazing with swings and bouncy castles for the young ones. Added bonus is it’s dog friendly as there are so many great walks in the immediate area.

Terrible manager, extremely disgusting the way he speaks to female members of staff, needs reporting as this is bullying.

The way the manager speaks to his female staff is completely unacceptable, no wonder there’s a high turnover of staff. I certainly won’t be going in again unless they get new management in.

Stopped off here on a trip through Billinge to order food as we were hungry, in all fairness it was very poor, you cant mess up a pizza but unlucky for us, it was, raw veg, undercooked and so very bland i deffo wont be eating here again

Lovely pub serving quality home cooked food, it's a shame it was very quiet on a Wednesday lunch time. We shared 2 starters they were lovely, sticky bbq sausages and garlic mushroom served with crusty bread, I had sirloin steak which was lovely, although a bit heavy on the pepper for me and I would prefer Diane sauce than peppercorn, most places only do peppercorn sauce though, my daughter had burger, looked like a proper homemade burger, the chips were the best I've had on any pub food, the menu is only small but probably something for most people, it is a shame there isn't more on it to keep people coming back for more but wouldn't want the quality to suffer for it as it's good food, the only other customer we saw walked out because there was nothing that they wanted on the menu. My daughter has been here on a Sunday for a Sunday dinner, she had lamb shank which she really enjoyed, she's promised to take me back for a lamb shank soon, apparently Sunday lunch is busy and lamb sells out quickly. There is a large outdoor area with seating and play equipment for the kids which I can see doing well in the summer. Only dropped a star because of the small menu and too much pepper but if you like home cook food then give it a try.

Much improved from the last few times we went in. 👍 Food is very good but service can be a bit variable due to a high staff turnover. I think staff are mostly seasonal and inexperienced so you still get the odd thing missed off your order. Food itself is great, love the pizzas and they usually have a decent value special on or similar.

Poor atmosphere and seems to have deteriorated

Went for mothers day meal. Nice food. Chicken pate with toasted ciabatta bread and homemade onion chutney was lovely . The goats cheese arachini balls with pea puree was nice as well. Only two thin flaps of beef on my dinner though so the balance of meat to veg was out of kilter but it was all nice. The lemon Bakewell was light and fluffy with zingy lemon curd with toasted almonds on top with side of cream that added moisture and enhanced the pudding . Will go back to try regular menu .

Bellinis in Billing is outstanding. We have recently returned to eat there for celebrations. We have thoroughly enjoyed the food and the excellent service.

Last minute decision to head out for tea tonight. We had been to the Italian at the Billinge Arms years ago and we always rated it. Then it closed down a few years back and we didn’t know it had opened up again until tonight. Food was really good and the young waitress and waiters couldn’t have been more polite if they tried. Service great. Food great. To top it all off there was a pianist that started to play at around 7pm to add the atmosphere. Excellent

Carly is the best bar worker ever

We went as a couple for dinner. The food was plentiful, hot and very good. I had the hallumi fries (heaven), chicken with 3 mustard sauce & chunky chips which was really goo. My other half had garlic mushrooms & cock & bull with chunky chips, He enoyed both dishes. The staff were lovely & very welcoming and we would go again. The only negative is it needs some TLC especially in the toilets.

Evening meal with friends, local pub that’s been hit and miss each time we go but this time I was impressed with the service, quality of food and staff. Not very busy for the time of year but that could be sign of the times. I had fish and chips and it was good, good selection of beers and reasonable price

Had a lovely Roast Dinner, fresh veg very good value for money.

Had Sunday lunch at Billinge Arms recently. Not too busy when we got there, approx. 3pm, so tables available. Would recommend checking in advance though as it can get busy. Tables, bar area and floors clean. Private party was taking place on terrace but not noisy at all. We were served fairly quickly. The Sunday lunch was absolutely delicious and puddings exceptionally good. I'd recommend the tiramisu. And football was on the telly - what's not to like? Reasonably priced. Would definitely go there again.

Decided to have tea out and had heard it was dog friendly so took them with us. You actually have to sit outside with dogs but as it is summer that wasn't bad but it is also mostly undercover so they probably have heaters in the cooler months. Most of the staff were really friendly and a guy from the kitchen even brought a bowl with fresh water out for the dogs which was really kind. I really enjoyed my food but my partner wasn't as fussed on his so it may depend on what you get. Will definitely go again.

Table booked for 6.15. Ordered drinks and food. Starter arrived quite quickly. Nachos- all the ‘topping’ were all plonked on top. It had then been microwaved to become a congealed cheesy hard blob. Garlic breaded mushrooms were out of possibly Iceland. Rock hard over cooked. Mains arrived an hour after ordering. Mixed bag. To be honest we’d had enough of the place before it came. Meaty feast pizza was fine The fish and chips were ok. The mixed Tapas . One of the dishes we couldn’t make out what it was it was so rock hard. The calamari were so tasteless they could have been anything in there- again not home made. The place was dirty, the blinds behind us were knackered. Daren’t try the toilets. So disappointing as we got fish and chips from there as a take away in lockdown and they were ace. The meal was for my sons birthday. Have never left anywhere without leaving a tip.

Family pub, great food, bouncy castle for the kids

Really nice pub. Decor is rustic and clean. Plenty of TVs if live sport is your thing. Food is fantastic with really nice pizzas. Not the widest selection of draught beers but what they have is well served. Large outdoor beer garden with plenty of benches. All in All a very nice pub.

Up to the last few weeks we’ve seen a big improvement here. Staff were professional, pleasant and atmosphere was good. Food in pub was fine and restaurant good and improving. BUT key staff have left recently, service has dropped, attitude towards customers is poor with slapdash service and attitude? Order from the menu and we will give you what we have whether you ordered it or not. I’ve seen the GM being a little blaze and flippant which I didn’t like. But Billinge is a small place and anyone who frequents this place hears about the GM having hissy fits. Previous reviews seem to confirm this. If it’s good then people will spend and come back. We for now are taking our money elsewhere. I hope I’m wrong but I suspect a downward slope which would be a great shame as this place should be at the hub of yet community. Oh and the car park looks like a scrap yard which isn’t a good image.

Service was decent, couldnt fault the front of house team. Food wasnt good though. Prawn starters came, overcooked and lukewarm. Garlic butter sauce was just warm and not freshly made, looked and tasted bland. Garlic bread was lovely though. Ordered ravioli and penne pasta, lobster ravioli wasnt good, all stuck together in a lukewarm sauce, this isnt homemade nor fresh. Penne was crispy in places and again just warm. Son oredered pizza which was lovely. Wouldn't go back again, even at 50% off.

Hi Luke, in response to your comment to Katrinaf990, I was personally there. You claim this comment is fabricated and that we were all out for free drinks. Therefore, I am more than happy to elaborate on your comments. When I ordered a lamb dinner you served a lamb shank which you can buy for £3.50 at any supermarket, I was expecting lamb slices, but regardless of this, I wasn't complaining as I like lamb shanks also... Furthermore, the vegetables you served, is what you put in a microwave for a minute. I would know because I buy them. The Yorkshire pudding was cold and the overall food was warm at best. I am 100% confident that when anyone purchases a Sunday lunch from a restaurant/pub/diner regardless of the meat you serve they would expect to at least get freshly cooked vegetables and the meal at minimum to be hot given your roast lunch is £12. I accept you have overheads, and you are serving the most cost-effective cheap meal " quick easy microwave meals" you can to customers. However, what I do take offence to is your rude manner, your disregard for customers and how you are now stating we were out for free drinks when we spent £90 in total for 4 meals and a round of drinks for four, of which one was a coke. With £90 we could have gone to a 5-star restaurant, had fresh hot cooked food with drinks..... If you believe you are running the best 5-star establishment, you would want people to leave a review and comment on all your social media platforms????? I for one would... " all of which you have turned off" this in itself says a lot about you and business.

Our family went to the Billinge Arms today to celebrate Mother's Day (for those who can't be with her next week). Staff was asked could they warm the food as everyone's food was cold, the staff member said she would get a Manager. The owner arrived and said no then refused to swop them saying it took 15 minutes to complain (which it didn't) he was abrupt and very rude but finally agreed to change the food. While waiting, we ordered another round of drinks, the Manager behind the bar offered the drinks for free because of the inconvenience and for the time we had waited for food. At this point the owner butted in and said, "Don't expect these drinks for free, it will come out of the General Manager's pocket. We have done nothing wrong." We were all disgusted that one, he accused us of trying to get a free drink, when clearly this wasn't the case and two, that he threatened to take the employees own money when he was only trying to provide good customer service. Overall, the menu was poor, the second lot of food ordered never arrived, there was only one vegan option that looked like a microwave meal and the customer service was terrible. We certainly wouldn't recommend this establishment and was quite shocked at the high rating after what we experienced today. We all left and ended up at McDonald's as we were all hungry. It ruined my mums day!

Very quiet on a Tuesday night, lovely bar staff

Lovely pub, nice atmosphere. The food is very good, tried various things and all been really nice. Definitely a favourite place to eat. X

We ate in Bellinis restaurant and the food was superb and service excellent. We were not in a rush so food was a little slow but we didn’t mind. Pianist in the restaurant was very good and he has a friend who sang opera so what a fantastic experience. They would struggle to top this . Well done to all the staff. Mixed seafood was excellent and cooked so well.

We had a breakfast with our young football team, food was excellent, the fire was roaring and we were very well looked after .. really nice.

Four of us visited for breakfast before christmas. We had 2 full English, pancakes & bagel and salmon and everyone enjoyed their meals. Food was fresh and lovely seating by the fire 👍.

We visited on Xmas Eve and had a great time , prices are comparable to other establishments but food is really good.

Very nice Christmas dinner, very good service

All generations meeting to a birthday get together and a prior Christmas event. Family members arrived from 2pm and then last taxi arrived at 7pm. Ages were from 4mths to 65!! Staff were great food amazing and such a relaxed atmosphere. Manager was so attentive...

Ate here at Bellinis for the very 1st time after moving into the Billinge area. What a fabulous find. Beautiful old barn conversion, felt very safe & spacious. I choose the mixed fish grill which was divine, my husband just had a pizza & said it was one of the nicest pizzas he’d ever had. Very reasonably priced. The red house wine was lovely as well. Listened to a pianist whilst we were having our meal. It was definitely a good find. Will definitely be going again.

Call for the first time as passing. Nice big open plan pub but very cosy with an open fire. Food and drinks reasonably priced and food delicious. Will definitely call again.

We thought the venue was calming and relaxing. The staff were attentive and noninvasive. The food was exactly how we liked it and at the end of the delightful evening the bill was surprisingly very acceptable. Have no doubts, we intend to visit regularly. If we could we would give it 6 stars out of five

Was absolutely great had a sharing platter as a starter,was 3 of us and there was more than enough so was loads left to take home for the 3 dogs,trouble was we struggled to finish the main course but I persevered

Attended our football presentation today, was seated outside with other parents etc. Drinks took over half an hour to arrive, when looked into, we found trays full of drinks on the bar waiting to go but with no idea who they were intended for. Nobody...

The only pub I've ever been in that told me they wasn't taking drink orders?? on the hottest day of the year, so currently dying of thirst and starving because we’ve so far waited over half hour for a wrap and chips 🙃

First time in this pub definitely the last walked in asked had I checked in, said yes asked can we sit where we liked looked at blanket then a women who was either manager or owner very abruptly said yes so were you want, was a football do in and appreciate it was busy but waited over 15 minutes for drinks

just had fathers day meal at the billinge arms it was a shambles the place wasnt full there were loads of staff who had no training so i dont blame them.we got one drink in the two an half hours we were there,we ordered our drinks and were told the bar was shut because the staff behind the bar needed to catch up .then we were brought the wrong order then we were left another half hour after asking could someone bring our drinks,we were again given the wrong ones and asked to pay someone elses bill .our whole afternoon was ruined.please sort out your staff behind the bar the ones waitlng on tables were lovley.

Decided to take mum out for a meal and dropped on at this plane on the high street - Lovely Food and great staff - staff v attentative. Good choices especially the prawn linguine.

3 hours for 3 pints...they got the orders wrong on more than one occasion, the bill came back 4 times with the wrong amounts. The young girls working there are being led by the blind...I feel sorry for them. Awful management, he left at 3pm on a bank holiday Sunday. Lovely place but shocking shocking service. Drinks in plastic cups as well and 1 person on the bar on a bank holiday. It wasn’t just us as well, customers left after they got fed up and we went onto another bar and it was pretty good to remember what asking for a drink and getting it within a few minutes felt like. Pathetic to be honest....and it’s not the first time neither. No lockdown excuse...just badly run

Retired staff nurse and retired police officer mid 60's and 70 respectively, had to pay upfront before we got our meal the reason given "we've had a lot of walkouts " I think our days of legging it are long gone!! I wouldn't mind but...

Have been here on numerous occasions in the past and was always made to feel welcome and food has been good, however came yesterday, no one tracked or traced us, we were seated in the beer garden, ordered drinks and food , drinks took 45...

Been today for 1St drink this year and what they are doing is fantastic . Can't fault them at all really professional and looked after us so well . Would advise anyone to go and enjoy a drink ere in a middle relaxed place

Food and service was poor , garlic bread was dry burnt and couldnt eat it and pasta wasnt cooked and home cooked chunky chips were frozen chips !
