New Yan's in Ryedale

100% recommend New Yans. Food is always perfect. Staff are very friendly. This is a great take-away . My favourite dish is Chicken and Cashew Nuts. Marvellous.

We visited Yans for the first time as our usual takeaway was closed for the bank holiday. I can't rate it highly enough. The food all looked very appealing and tasted just as good. Our new favourite!

great food, great portions and a very good price. delivery is fast and efficient, when it’s not really really busy(cos it’s the best place in malton). collecting is always faster than delivery but the drivers are so friendly and they call when they’re almost outside, the delivery drivers always have the correct change waiting for you aswell. all the staff are so lovely, very patient and friendly. i have never had a problem with yans and i go here fairly regularly. the food is always hot and always tastes delicious. they’re very consistent with the order as i usually get the same thing each time. definitely worth getting it from here rather than anywhere else in malton, i can’t find a fault with yans!! however…….never get a chinese takeaway from connies!

We often get takaways from here and have done for many years. the food is always spot on and delivery doesnt take long to come either at a small charge.

After been a customer at yans for 15 years we recently had a really disappointing takeaway, very greasy and tasteless starter, Chow Mein with no flavour or any other vegetables apart from beansprouts and onion, unlike in past when there was more variety in the dish and the curry was simply vile, we thought maybe they had changed chef, so we called to make them aware and were told no new chef, but as way of apology for inconvenience we could have a takeaway free of charge next time. So the following week we ordered our free takeaway (same price as last time, we didn’t go overboard), on delivery to be told we had £15 of a £25 bill to pay, we were very confused, so on calling the shop with the delivery driver at door demanding money we were then told we could have £10 off, this was 100% not what had been agreed on either of the times we spoke to the young man in charge previously on the phone, so with the delivery driver becoming aggitated because we refused to pay we told him to leave with the food, making it very clear how unhappy we were. We will never ever use this takeaway again and we will be taking our custom elsewhere, it’s a shame after been loyal customers for so long it ended like this. Please be aware the standard off food here has really dropped and they seem to have no cares about rectifying this and keeping customers happy. They were given a change to rectify the issue and didn’t, hence review.

Been here 19yrs. This is the best takeaway in town for taste. Granted can be slow at very busy times, but all cooked fresh. Buffet nights good, order each dish before finishing the previous (all cooked fresh) so again can take a while to come. One off the cleanest takeaway kitchen I've see in town!! Overall good just slow at times !!

New Yan's dishes very bad, chips very oiling and ribs very dry can not chew.better chinese take away is Gold Lion in malton-very tasty and better quality meals.

Great food , big portions and a real speedy service with a big smile! Went here for a Saturday night take out and was amazed at the quality of the food here . Loved it and will definitely return.

Thought it would be a change to have a Chinese tonight instead of our home cooked curry What a disappointment!! The food was bland and tasteless-the chicken smelt tasted extremely strange, the rice was completely without flavor the dishes appeared to have no seasoning whatsoever. Would never get another take away from here -definitely a huge waste of money

We have never dined here but have been having takeaways at least once every couple of months since it opened. It has never let me down and I have always enjoyed it.

I went into this place a few weeks ago and it looked filthy. The walls and decor appeared to be covered in yellow oily stuff and the windows were grubby. The owner just came to the counter and said "what". I decided not to eat food from there and went up town instead.

Having not been here for a few years I thought i'd give it a go... Pleasantly surprised! The menu is extensive and the price quite reasonable. The staff are helpful and been back a number of times since, we found that all the options are good... the walk-up speed of service - very good, the collection was ready when they said it would be, and the delivery extremely fast. Been there a few times now in the last few weeks and although the food isn't high dining, and isn't always exactly the same for the same item ordered... some times it can be more watery or thicker than others, its very adequate for something to eat. Give it a go

Got a takeaway from here one night, just some nibbles on the way home (sober i will add) I got spring rolls with chips and gravy. From my first bite the gravy tasted of fag ash, i got my partner to try as i was shocked and in disbelief how bad it tasted, he said the same. So full takeaway and wasted money in the bin! My partner got chip and curry which also tasted powdery and not very nice. First time ive bought anything from here in a long time and will certainly be the last!!!

When this restaurant first opened it was great, but since then we have had 2 take aways in the last year and they will most definitely be our last! The food was absolutely disgusting. Appalling! It was over cooked and the quality of the ingredients was very poor. The sauce on the curry was powdery. Definitely not the quality I expect these days with the abundance of fresh local ingredients available. It's not cheap and sadly it was money down the drain as I literally ate about 3 mouthfuls and had to throw it away. I even wrote to complain, I've never had a reply! Never again. Such a shame!

Used to be absolutely gorgeous but now the food is gross I don't go there anymore. The two Chinese young lads are the only good thing about the place. Will and his younger brother. They are spot on!

My daughter and I used to have takeways from here regularly but haven't until tonight when treated by my daughter! I think it has changed hands several times and whoever runs it now has got the taste of the foods right in our opinion. My singapore chow mein was the tastiest, without being too hot that, I have had in a long time and my fellow diners enjoyed their curry and chow mein too. Other reviewers may not have liked their choices as much as we did but I would certainly eat from there again.

It's my local Chinese food is gorgeous just the chicken they use isn't too nice. Overall though its worth he money. You must try their chips

i don't really like giving bad reviews, however, yans has taken a real turn for the worse over the past few months.yans was once a 'so-so' chinese takeaway, not any more.eat here at your own risk, you will be ill.

The service was terrible, waited over one hour for our take away, the chips was not cooked properly. did not enjoy the food at all had better Chinese food before.

used to be a very good takeaway,dont know what happened,maybe they have a new chef,but very poor now,

much nicer ambience than with previous set up. Food ace and reasonably priced for what you get. Takeaways as good as eat in. Service good and friendly. Parties also welcomed....never needed to book yet but have done incase a party in. No rush to leave table necessary which is nice.

Yan's is our favourite Chinese in Malton and we get home delivery fairly regularly. The food is always of a good standard and plentiful. The staff are very helpful and are happy to adapt recipes to suit your needs. Not too keen on the egg fried rice though.

Always great food with a smile the salt and pepper chicken is a must and the Sunday buffets are real value
