4 of us got a takeaway from here last night, 27/08/23, to say it was awful is an understatement, ive never tasted something with so much salt in my life, it was just uneatable …. The lot went in the bin and we heated a pizza up…..never again , i would have given no stars if hat was possible.

My husband and I just moved to Malton and decided to try something new. We were recommended to try Singapore fried rice spicy and it was so delicious 😋 😋 😋 😋. The customer service was top-notch. The portions were perfect because we were staving, we also had freebies (spring rolls, prawn crackers and a drink). This is the best Chinese restaurant in Malton and we are definitely coming back over and over again.

New to the area and craving some Chinese, we stumbled upon Chen Xin's! Ordered the salt and pepper chicken and beef, and they were a flavour explosion. The chicken curry was generously portioned and packed a delicious punch. The remarkably tasty beef black bean dish left us thoroughly satisfied. Not sure where those negative reviews are coming from because our experience was top-notch. Prices are budget-friendly too. The lovely lady and her daughters running the place were super friendly and polite – customer service was on point. Bonus: Free spring rolls and drinks with our order! The only downside was they only accept cash but my mistake as it said online and it's on the menu. We spent about £30 and all was worth it. We will be back for more!

This is the best Chinese I have ever had. The lady was very friendly when taking the order and was very quick - she had it ready in 20 minutes. When I collected the food, she had given us free drinks and spring rolls as well! We had ordered what would normally serve 2 people, but this would comfortably serve 4-5 people. All the food itself was delicious. I would recommend the chicken chow mein and special cashew nuts. This could not have been better. 10/10. FYI. It is cash only. The garage across the road has an ATM, and so does the Morrisons nearby (2 mins away).

Not sure how this place has such a high rating. Person taking the (large) order over the phone barely understood English. Told us it would be half an hour- took 90 minutes and even then they forgot a large number of items! The items that we did get were labeled - but in Chinese so we had no way of knowing what they actually were. I get wanting to be authentic - but I'm in England. I can't read Chinese and wouldn't expect to in England. Since we had meat eaters and vegetarians this was an issue - but at least we didn't have anybody with food allergies etc taking a gamble! Plus a number of the party found the food to be inedible. Least the food was hot 🤷‍♀️

10/10 - ordered over the phone whilst we was on holiday, 20 minutes for it to be ready, lovely service throughout, the best Chinese I've ever had. Highly recommend, also was lovely to have some spring rolls, prawn crackers and 2 drinks thrown in! We ordered about £26 worth, and it easily could've fed 4/5 we saved half behind for lunch the next day!

Very tasty, food hot and ready on time, and kind staff! Our usual restaurant was closed and it was a good choice to come here!

Server was polite & friendly and you got free prawn crackers & spring roles but the food was not good. Sweet & sour chicken was disgusting, gristle in chicken, sauce was thin & had nothing in it. Curry was average but again the chicken wasn’t good quality

Went Sunday tea time ,ordered over phone ,told 20mins ,called to pick up and payed on collection. We had sweet and sour chicken , pork oyster sauce, and a noodle dish , ready on time and hot , we enjoyed it . First visit will go back .

Nice variety of dishes on menu and lovely people. I recommend beef black bean or chicken black pepper dishes. Good pricing and quick service.

Absolutely dreadful takeaway and we won’t be returning. One dish tasted incredibly burnt and wasn’t in any way edible. The prawn dish had a very small number of tiny shrimps in it. Everything brown and tasteless. Really horrible; the whole lot ended up in the bin.

Went here to by dinner to celebrate me and my wife's anniversary having a dinner party, and I must say, the food is fab! The curry has so much in-depth flavour and taste, it's a very good curry. The black bean and spring onion & ginger dishes are very flavorful - the best I have had in a while. The salt & pepper chips and beef was BANGING :). The owner and her two daughter's are really friendly and guided me to which dishes to recommend and try. They gave us free spring rolls, cans of pop and prawn crackers - what more can you ask...?! The food didn't take long to cook and the food when I took home was still hot. I'll be back for more Chinese food from this friendly takeaway.

This is a fantastic little Chinese. They give you a lovely warm welcome, before the father of the family shuffles off into the kitchen to weave his magic. Everything is fresh and they are happy to amend any order. I cannot recommend this place enough. It is takeaway only and you must pay in cash.

Loved the food! Great gem place even though they don't deliver but I do not mind picking up my order. One of the best Chinese takeaway's around the area. :)

This was probably one of the best chinese food joints in the yorkshire area, I'd recommend the salt and pepper chicken, and anything salt and pepper is great. The owner often gives me free drinks, spring rolls, and prawn crackers. Portion sizes are great for their price, and customer service is top notch despite the owner only knowing a little english. The girl at the front counter is very nice and is very helpful. 10/10 will go again!

Food was delicious - plenty of flavour and variety on the menu! Will be visiting again due to good customer service and prompt service! Would recommend the salt and pepper chicken/beef, blackbean, satay and black pepper dishes - HONESTLY AMAZING!!!!

First off rang the place twice and a woman shouting in Chinese answered, eventually after a few minutes of confusion an english person answered. Started to think i had rung someones home not a good start...Placed the order and picked up 20 minutes later. Got back home and all 5 meals were truly awful. Special fried rice barely any meat in it, chicken and prawn satay just liquid vegetables again barely any meat. The curry sauce was thinner than water.. literally. Salt n pepper chicken wings tasteless soggy batter. Only thing nice was the free can of pepsi. £35 in the bin within 10 minutes. Can honestly say this is the worst Chinese takeaway i have ever experienced across the UK.

We decided to try here for the first time tonight for a change from our usual Chinese and we definitely wasn’t disappointed - beef in oyster sauce so tasty - duck chow mein again very tasty - also ordered salt & pepper chicken wings hubby said they were very good - fried rice & soft noodles flavoursome - the only thing we wasn’t keen on was the chips they appeared to be soggy perhaps would be best served in a bag rather than a polystyrene box but apart from that the portions are huge the flavours are excellent made all the more nicer with some free spring rolls & cans of pop what a lovely little gesture and we will without a doubt be going back there :D

We were stuck for food one night so went on the hunt for a local chinese takeaway. We found Chen Xin's. Easy to order, very quick provision of the food and excellent taste. Prawn crakers thrown in with the order and a nice surprise to find some mini spring rolls and a couple of cans of drink as well. Large postions of rice! Only slight down side was that the batter got soggy on tghe trip back to the ladge we were staying in as packaged in polysterine boxes. Free carparking in the carpark behind the put opposite.
