New Town Chinese in Bridgend

Had a lovely meal here, lovely deco & comfortable. Price of food was good, not too pricey. The food was served was nice & fresh, & no fat, Staff very attentive & helpful. Would recommend & will go back.

Nice looking place but foods shocking! Payed £20 for full English and the size was fit for 8 year old. Will never come here again and if you don't want to be ripped off, I suggest don't come here. Worst portions ive ever experienced for the price.

Meal delivered with most of it in the bag, Took it back out to the delivery man who checked it and told me the lid was off, we accepted the food but I felt I needed to let the restaurant know what had happened, also the order was wrong, I told him straight away I didn’t want to complain I just wanted him to be aware of what had happened, he just wanted to argue that it wasn’t his fault it was the drivers, The driver didn’t get the order wrong did they

Absolutely SUPERB food, REALLY very tasty, properly priced and a truly SUPERB delivery service. I am from the Manchester area working weekends on a house refurb in Pontycymer and its a pleasure to eat hot, freshly cooked food delivered either well before time stated or at the least on time and HOT. OK, to be honest this used to be my local Chinese takeaway and I moved away some 20 years ago. Yes I've been back forth over that time but never had a takeaway from there. Beginning of this month I'm visiting with my son and we have lockdown restrictions so no restaurants are open near the hotel we're staying at so what the heck, I'll get a chinese. OMG! It's just as good as I remember it. Not only do the same family run it but the food is just amazing and you really get your moneys worth. So we're back again and this time my sister is in tow and we again head to the Chinese for a takeaway, she orders what seems like a meal for one but there is so much that she can't finish it (we helped) but it's genuinely amazing food for brilliant value, you can't go wrong.

Amazing takeaway food best for miles the special fried rice is to die for. The only chinese i know where u have to ask for more vegetables in ur dishes as they are so rammed with chicken etc. The only downfalls are they dont take card payments. They should take them for delivery and in the restaurant as its so easy to set up now and the fact it takes so many attempts to get through as they answer the phone then pop the phone on the counter with u on hold it gets frustrating. Maybe they could have a middle man like just eat to facilitate card payments also it would reduce the phone frustration too.

My family enjoy a "Mary's" once a week and it never fails to be a fantastic treat. No-one can do crispy beef like Mary's

Had a take away meal last weekend on the recommendation of my daughter who has always sung their praises. It was without a doubt the best takeaway I have ever tasted, be prepared to wait a while when they're busy but it's well worth the wait.

Amazingly generous portions and very tasty Chinese. But be prepared to wait on the phone while she multitasks! Worth the wait though

Always frequent this joint and the service is impeccable and food is on point. Mary is super friendly and helpful. A must visit for when you’re in the valleys.

Never had a bad chinese from here we as a family have visited for 40 years plus Great service although on weekend better to call in than ring as it is so popular ! Well done Mary and family !

X factor evening with my daughter and this started the night off nicely. Had food delivered and was still hot and fresh. Have one every weekend and it never disappoints.

Great food with fantastic service however it can be very busy as it's super popular with the locals. The barbecue sauce is a particular highlight to try, I just wish they sold it bottles to take home!
