I have dined at this place for over 30 years and when they had 2 branches. I've seen the girls grow up, but of late all they do is raise their prices, shrink their portions and not even let me off 10p for less than 24 hours when paying over £30. I wasn't allowed to bring the 10p in the next day so had to cancel the whole order. The quality of food and service have severely declined and they seem more money focused than ever, even during/post covid! They're out of touch with the people in the area and the fact that buying 1 dish to add to scraps at home is the closest I get to a treat and even a full meal most weeks! Taking my last £8 for NO beef in the crispy beef which I hoped to take home and add too to make a meal from was a complete rip off. And don't even try to complain, she just kept shouting at me when I called and tried to tell her I'd been charged £8 for greasy pastry strands!

Great customer service and food is tasty and fresh.Great value for money. I travel from Hertfordshire to order from this take-away.So I believe that say it all.

Good service, good value, tasty food. Ordered take away and was able to park right outside the door. Always a bonus.

Saw a cockroach crawling on the wall and pointed it out to staff , they were extremely rude !! EDIT ; RESPONSE; I will be complaining to the health department and HMRC for tax evasion

Wanted a quick bite to eat before a night out, we were not disappointed. The food came quickly and was very tasty. The chicken balls were the best we have ever had. If in the area try it out.

Always great here. Freshly cooked, great ingredients, decent portions, cool people. Never been left disappointed or hungry. It's essentially a takeaway but a perfectly decent environment to eat in too if you're in a hurry.

Nice clean owners .....Very tasteful food well seasoned and full of flavour the Singapore fried rice is the best out of all the Chinese shops I've been to... their a little pricey now as everything has gone up so if your ordering for a big family takeaway it may be more than other places but the flavours will be worth it

I’ve been ordering food from here for the last 3 years, the food is so good I don’t go anywhere else now. I don’t live local so I don’t order all the time but when I do I’m never disappointed. I usually call to place the order and then I collect it after around 20mins. I’ve never had a bad experience here and I’ll be visiting again very very soon. I recommend the chilli salt n pepper prawns in thin batter, special fried rice, duck with pancakes and the Singapore noodles. Even the ribs are nice. I’m sure they also gifted me some prawn crackers for free with my last order which was nice. Thankyou

Used to be very good quality and quantity. But now the quantity reduced dramatically at a higher price. We used to order 2 dishes which are more than enough but today we ordered 3 dishes it’s not enough for 2 people. The quality is the same as before they have less and less meat (6-7 small prawns with loads onions, around 150g beef in the beef dish….) at higher prices. I hope this is just an incident.

Came here for for a quick late night dinner and it did the job perfectly. Spring rolls were perfectly crisp and went well with the sweet and sour / curry sauce. Veg Singapore noodles was also very good. Would recommend

Very nice food guaranteed! I wouldn’t say this but the food is top . The service was ok but the lady seemed very hungry for money 💵 .Favourite has got to be Prawn chow mein and prawn toast nice nice 👍 I would say bring 20 quid .

Simple requests like no onions were ignored along with having my chicken well done. The chow mein was disappointing with bits of undercooked chicken in and littered in onions to the point of it being inedible due to an intolerance. Charged us extra for black bean sauce each yet only provided one! Won't be returning at all

The food is provided very quickly within minutes but that is because it isn’t fresh, it’s just microwaved. The food itself is quite bland and I received about 3/4 of a tub of food. Their chip portion sizes are also tiny. In short, bland food at bad prices for the portion sizes you actually get. I was still hungry after eating so I don’t think it’s worth it at all really. The woman in there adds 10p for a bag without asking if you need one and is also very bossy and, at times, patronising.

Amazing food at a reasonable price and I would recommend this restaurant to any one who is looking for an affordable place for lunch or dinner.

Some women who was meant to ‘run’ the place spoke to me and my family so terribly. Cleaning tables with windowleen. (Which is used for windows) Was an absoloutley vile place for me and my family to be we had to walk out. Under no circumstances are we being spoken to like that, such a rude manor. Agressive and abusive behaviour from this women. Will not be going again. (Dosent even need 1 star) worth nothing!!! Walked out before eating.

Not a pleasant visit, you go into a soulless restaurant, I used to go here for the last 10/15 years, with a beautiful souled women who would always greet you with a warm smile soft tone and you really felt like you was welcome, along with her daughters and her husband behind the line producing the most beautiful food, now it has changed hands, you walk through the door to a bossy, rude, loud, disrespectful front of house,this is a shame because you have brought such a foundation to the lowest of lowest, I thought I was going to reminisce like the old days in what used to be the best Chinese in London, if you want to be spoken to like a child please go here, if not stay away, Bring back the old front of house, takes years to build a reputation and minutes to destroy it! Doesnt even deserve one star Sack the rude lady and get someone who actually wants to make the business grow RIP to what was the greatest Chinese ever

****BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, **** Greedy for money and rude. I ordered sweet and sour chicken hong kong style only carrot (no onion, pineapple or pepper) King prawn chow mein. When I saw the food I  Thought what kind of chicken looks so long so I asked the lady is this chicken and she said to me no it's prawns. I told her I did not ask force prawns I asked for chicken when she attempted to insist that I did. I  just told her to change it. I then said my order was £13 odd you overcharged me. She said, you don’t want no pineapple, pepper or onion so you will get more so that’s 50p extra. Excuse me how can you charge a customer because they don’t want some ingredients. Its rude and outlandish and genuinely a first I always remove ingredients I don’t like. I said ok what about the other £1.50 she said 10p for bag and I give you a bottle of water. This lady is honesty so greedy for money, rude and discourteous. She lucky she caught me after work on a good day and I couldn’t be bothered to go back and forth with her. But please check your order and the amount you pay prior cause she will come up with ways to keep your money rather than refund you what you deserve. The food however, was nice.

Just not sure yet same anymore. Visited for 1st time in 18 months but felt service by one of owners was abit abrupt & didn't feel totally friendly as her tone aggressive to questions on price & quality of food not the same as I had used this establishment over the last 8 years prior & would recommend to family & friends about this establishment but now, not sure if I would go back.

Ordered pick up 4 times now and the food has been consistently good and the staff are always polite and friendly. Wouldn’t stay to eat as ambience not very welcoming. Would love to see them in a better spot with sit down dining.

I did not enjoy my meal, I've had better tasting Chinese food. I found the special fried rice and sweet and sour chicken balls tasteless. I will not be going back. The ingredients were cheap quality.....

Tasty food, in good size portions

Have not visited in years and I was asking several questions that although I could not hear the answer to the lady serving me very kindly repeated more than once with such patience. Made my order and it was very nice and fresh tasting it took us 15 mins to get home and the food was still hot enough to eat. We will be visiting again hope fully in the near future

Dropped in this place by reading a few reviews as we were in the area. Absolutely loved it! A very friendly family run restaurant and we were welcomed so well by the lady in the front. She was very helpful and also treated our lil son with so much love! The food was one of the best Chinese I have had, great portions and really good value for money. Ordered quite a few items of the menu and they all were equally good. Definitely recommend!

EXCELLENT CHINESE FOOD! We have just moved into the Queens Park area and this is by far the best Chinese food in the area. Great value for money, lovely customer service both in the restaurant when collecting and when ordering over the phone. If you love Crispy Chilli Beef, they have perfected it to a T and I can’t recommend enough!

The food is amazing, the portions are generous. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The hot and sour soup is mind blowing, the salt and pepper squid you will not be disappointed with. The dumplings are so good. I have tried various dishes over the years and not one has been a mistake. Thank you for selling such tasty food :D

Their food bangs! I moved to the area recently and was disappointed with the two previous places I tried, however this place did not disappoint. It was little further away from me but definitely worth it.

Coming here for years and it's hands down the best chinese takeaway in all of brent. The value and price are unmatched, also love the family who own the store they are very welcoming.

Am so happy that i find this shop its the best. I enjoyed noodles but i love there rice it was great. Sorry no photos i eat it do quick i was enjoying it and forgot to take photos.

A nice family run business the food is great compliments to the chef they also have a wide range of choices on their menu opening hours are also good right up until till 11 p.m. when they close don't take my word for it try them out for yourself

I’ve used this restaurant which used to be a Vietnamese family run business for the last 22years, they used to have another takeaway branch on craven park road in Harlesden before they opened their other branch in Willesden, up until four years ago or so I honestly could say this was the best Chinese you could wish for, but around 4years ago they sold the business and new people took over, and since then not only the food more than doubled in price which I don’t mind if they kept their standards, but the quality and the taste of the food has gone from bad to worse and it’s awful now, they even started putting the food in cheap plastic containers instead of the foil ones they used to use and they give the food a funny taste. especially the last two times I visited the food was terrible. Such a shame!.

Food is ok. Wasn't very hot today for some reason, had to reheat in the microwave. Which is a first. I do look forward to eating in again when things open up.

Food was absolutely disgusting! One dish was too dry with not enough vegetables and the other too oily and tasted like it had been fried in old oil. Its all done on a cheap scale, prices aren't worth it even though they promote large servings. Avoid!! Go to oriental spice- over the other side. only reason I went because they were closed and I fancied Chinese. Waste of money but they probably need it more than I do. Improve!

Food is a bit small in portion for the price. But the service was not bad...but portion is bad too small.

I ordered chicken and noodles soup and the gave me chicken and sweetcorn, everything on plastic plates, not large portions, at the end they charged more (£1 extra per item) because I ate in, the prices were on the menu but the lady (probably the owner) said that those are just to take away.

My favourite local Chinese. They really should start delivering as it would be a great bonus and I totally agree with the previous review about the chefs walking In and out is unprofessional( lucky I haven’t witnessed nose blowing). The food tastes the best compared to the local competitors in my opinion. No one does crispy chilli and salt like they do! Prices are a bit steep but I have accepted that and will continue to visit New Golden Duck for my local Chinese fix!

Fantastic food and place to go out and eat as well

A very awkward review to write. I was curious to try this place. The reviews seemed quite positive but at the point of ordering we were not impressed with the menu. Hubby was put off. I was hesitant. The final straw was when one of the chefs came out of the restaurant and blew the contents of his nose unto the pavement in front of his restaurant! This is a red flag and says quite a bit about their hygiene standards - so we did not eat here and we will never eat here.

Lady told me the chicken was Halal - this was a lie, the owner confessed that their food is not Halal - so be careful!

Hemos comido allí durante 10 años, así que tenía curiosidad por ver cómo sería la comida. Solo puedo decir que no me decepcionó, nos dieron una gran bienvenida.
