New China Kitchen Takeaway in Slough

We were in the UK for 2 weeks and had takeaway from here several times for nostalgia. The food tasted almost exactly as I remember it, from 15 years ago. We had big orders of food, nothing was missing, food tasted good (although I prefer the old pancake rolls which were just bean sprouts, onion and ham, and the chicken Chinese style was nothing like it used to be). Enjoyed the chili chicken, meal G, pancake rolls, prawn toast, egg fried rice, crispy duck and curry sauce.

Tried calling restaurant for an hour with no answer so drove there to see if was open to which it was they was ignoring the phone, so I made my order and waited 20 mins then I thought I would run through the order and check it as was quite a big order to which they were missing a portion of chicken balls so she said I didn’t charge you but I went through the order twice before was cooked but ended up paying extra and waited extra 15 mins. I won’t go here again for the fact that they was rude and unapologetic

Awful!! Half the order was missing. 213 redials later I decided to visit premises to get rest of order. Place looks run down and grubby. Food was not the greatest, will not be using this place again. Other take aways are available which I'll try in the future!!

Ordered food via app Saturday am for collection at 17-45 arrived 17-45 a couple of customers waiting there was one guy answering the phone and serving customers (phone given priority) I waited approx 12 minutes before being acknowledge and was given my order I live less than half a mile away so 5 minutes the food was poor to say the least chicken balls very overcooked dark batter the rice was stodgey and and luck warm the other dishes seemed OK however because because of the wait chinese hot/fresh is not really enjoyable, they really need another member of staff to serve the food as soon as ready this is the second and last time I will use this place,not good enough China Kitchen you need to get your act together you have competition.

We have used the New China Kitchen many times before and it can sometimes be hit and miss but this last visit was poor. All the food was very greasy and the meat was all overcooked. Not enjoyable at all.

Terrible delivery and service. Have ordered here for 5 years. Last 3 orders either delivered very late or order was wrong. Won’t be coming here ever again!!!

Food was cooked to the point it was dry, Squid fried to death with no trace of squid at all. Also cold when delivered and Late, Called to advise and got brushed off with excuses. Offered a 50% discount if I ordered again, But whose going to order again from a bad experience??? Asked for a refund and told to pursue just eat for the refund. Overall Saturday evening was tarred by such a poor service.

I use this takeaway perhaps every 6 weeks as its local and have never been disappointed in the food quality.

The food is very nice but sadly we have now given up on this takeaway. The last 4 times we have used them we have had part of our order missing. We have ours delivered so when we realised we have had to ring up. Once they delivered the missing dishes but they obviously didn't arrive until after we had finished eating, the next time the delivery woman was darn right rude, another time we were told they were too busy and we would have to mention on our next order for money off. The last time we made sure we counted the dishes before driver left, but after they went we discovered one dish wasn't as ordered.

Second time ordering here I was sad to see my free item wasn't put in the bag but I did receive a rather nice calendar. Today I had a Penang Thai style chicken curry which was a bit spicier than I was expecting and I also had mushroom rice. Very tasty. Family enjoyed the meal overall.

Ordered online was told a hour and a half wait tried calling phone was engaged did ring a couple of times but rang through very disappointed as good is lovely

This is our local Chinese Takeaway and have never been disappointed with the food quality and service.

I've ordered from New China Kitchen a few times since moving house and the quality of food was a lot better than the last Chinese Takeaway we ordered from in the past. Until last night, everything we'd ordered had been to us relatively on time, but yesterday the food was over half an hour late and was luke-warm at best when we sat down to eat it. Will give them another chance, but if we get a repeat, we'll probably move on to another restaurant.

It took 2 hours for my order to arrive, called at an hour and was told 5 minutes, they then proceeded to ignore my phone calls after that, I called 16 times and had no answer at all. I will never be going to this place again. Had no apology, no explanation, no refund, no nothing. As a restaurant manager I can surely say this place has no customer service whatsoever and is an absolute joke. I will be going into the store tomorrow afternoon to have a word and I WILL get my refund. Do not order from this place. Happy chef Burnham is much much faster and actually knows what customer service is. Only reason I didn't was because it was closed.

Food nice, arrived on time, just had no option on online orders to see if what we had picked came with noodles so ended up just chicken in sauce x

1 of us ordered a special ommelette wich was not special i had chicken curry wich was small peices of chicken onion in a gravey athou the egg rice was very nice

Food is nice but food is often delivered late after having to call to chase the order. Better off collecting than getting it delivered.

I've had a few take aways from here and most of the menu is not the best. My hangover cure is chips, curry sauce and egg fried rice(this is edible) but I'd stay clear of everything else, it's all very bland. The staff are not...

Used to occasionally have takeaways from here, but will never again. It's a few months since this happened but I was left speechless at how rude the staff were when I returned a meal. I had ordered a vegetarian meal for delivery, when I eventually opened if there was clearly meat in it. I phoned them and was told I could have a refund if I returned in person. They confirmed they had charged me for chicken. The person present when I returned it to said "you w eaten some' I told him I had and that's that's how I knew that there was meat in it. They looked at the food, played with it and said 'that's not chicken - how dare you ask for a refund'. They threw £10 at me (although I'd paid a bit more) Shook their head and said 'what kind of a person ways some of the food (in my case 2 mouthfuls), then asks for a refund. I literally couldn't say a word - never known anything like it!!

My friend and I went to this restaurant expecting a lovely Chinese like we have had before and instead we were presented with soggy, undercooked, unpleasant food.Our chicken was undercooked and dry, when we took it back to complain the young man which we spoke to on the phone greeted us in a rude and ill-mannered way; he was huffing and puffing to start with and then began to talk over us, refusing to listen to what we had to say and repeatedly insisting we didn't know what we were talking about. Finally, when we came to an agreement of getting £20 out of the £30 we spent I told him how Aweful his customer services were, instead of apologising he told us to get out which I think is Disgraceful. I don't believe the customer is always right but when you're serving undercooked chicken the customer is definitely right! I for sure will not be going back to this restaurant after being treated in such a disgraceful manner!!

Had food here several times now and it fairly consistent each time. The place is a bit run down and grubby but the speed at which they have your food reaady is always very good. Will continue to order my chinese food here!
