Neptune Fish & Chips Takeaway in Maldon

We always get our fish and chips from here if we don't want to travel to our usual plaice (excuse the pun). We normally ring first as everything is cooked fresh and saves on waiting. The chips were excellent and the fish was really good. The standard is normally pretty good but it was very very good tonight, keep up the good work. There is no restaurant only a take away.

I am fussy when it comes to fish and chips, I travel from Tiptree to buy from Neptune. They have the best chips, crispy golden and not too greasy, cooked in clean oil so they taste fantastic. I usually order Haddock and it’s really fresh and succulent - in fact writing this i’m going to get some now as it’s made me hungry!

nothing special, and expensive compared to other chip shops around , never seems to be anybody in there either

Friendly couple with many years serving the local community excellent quality Fish and Chips. In our opinion we are incredibly lucky to have great food within walking distance.

Very friendly owners and we had lovely chips from here. We took them down to the estuary and enjoyed them in the summer sun!

Noticed that web link is Neptune’s in Southend-on-Sea but my review is Wood Road, Heybridge. Basic Fish and Chips done well. No food waiting in hot cupboard as cooked to order. So you have to wait but the wait is worth it for a fresh meal at a reasonable price. Remember we miss our local pubs closing so don’t let your local Fish and Chip shop go the same way. Use them and support them. Great British Fish and Chips!

Found ourselves on a impromptu visit to the seaside on a sunny autumnal day. Couldn't walk by Neptune's without stopping for a full sized fish and chips lunch for all the family. Sat out in the sun with great food. Would certainly recommend and revisit should we find ourselves there again.

Used to be a lovely place but overtime standards have started to slack. I don't know if this place will be open much more which is a shame as it used to be so good

A great little takeaway with parking right out front. Food cooked to order so everything is always hot and crispy. A clean bill of health from the local food inspectors too. Perfect!
