From the initial great the staff are just devine, friendly and helpful and service all round you could not fault. Menu choices and authentic dishes did not disappoint. Food presentation, portion size, quality and taste were all excellent and overall I would definitely give this a 10 out of 10

Went for lunch. £10.90 for a 2 course lunch. There was a good selection. I had garlic prawns with flat bread to start followed by meat moussaka. It was very nice and good value. The staff were lovely with efficient service. It was very stylish inside and spotlessly clean. Will be returning very soon.

We had a friendly welcome and were shown to table. Service polite we had quickly ordered drinks starters and mains. Didn't have long to wait before starters came. Food was good quality and tasted lovely. Staff friendly and attentive. Will definitely visit again next time in Bedford

My experience at Nazar, Turkish Lounge in Bedford was utterly disappointing. The service was abysmal, with staff displaying a shocking lack of manners. Not a single complimentary gesture or apology was offered for the inconvenience. Despite patiently waiting for an hour, our food never materialized, prompting us to abandon our meal altogether. To add insult to injury, we had to chase down the staff for our starters. The overall experience left a bitter taste, and I would caution others to think twice before considering Nazar for a dining experience.

From the moment of walking through the door, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect evening. Friendly helpful staff, delicious food, perfect location. We will be visiting again.

I visited the Nazar restaurant with my friend yesterday lunch time and was most impressed with the make over the restaurant had done. Beautiful strong colours with lovely lighting. Our food arrived hot and was delicious . The portions were generous and the bread was hot and light. Couldn’t fault the service and it was nice that you could see the chef preparing the food. We will definitely be going again soon.

We decided to book this at late notice but still found us a table. The atmosphere was buzzing on arrival and we were shown straight to our table. The waiting staff were all very friendly and attentive. We ordered starters which were very tasty and good size The main course of lamb casserole was very tasty. The house wine good The only downside was a table of people who started off as four and gradually increased to nine but staff dealt with this issue very well.

We were attracted into this restaurant by a good value lunch offer. We opted for two courses at the bargain price of £10.95. We were a little concerned that the quality might reflect the price, but we need not have worried. All the food was superb. The decor was very pleasant. The service was excellent as was the Turkish wine.

I would do it again. We had the lamb chops and another lamb dish and they were both really good. The staff and manager were very friendly and attentive.

Travelled to Bedford for a track day, and stumbled upon this gem of a place. We hadn't booked and although it was a Friday night, were warmly welcomed. First off, we decided to order two mojito's. A regular and a strawberry. I'm not joking when I say, these were the best mojito's we've ever had, and we've had quite a few. Next up was the free bread with three dips, which were again, outstanding. We then went for a starter which was spinach and feta cheese, wrapped in filo pastry, with a sweet chilli sauce. There was plenty of it, a lovely crispiness and the sauce was devine. Next up was the main. We both decided on the lamb casserole, which was lamb, potato and aubergine in a lush sauce with rice. Soooo... Tasty. Honestly, can't recommend this place enough.

Up there with the best, walked in off the street without a booking and was looked after the minute we walked in. We were sat by the grill next to a mirror that allowed you to see straight through to the kitchen where it was fully of amazing chefs with an amazing process of cooking and working hard with top quality meat and salads and vegetables and the perfect breads. Our waitress was on the ball, she was bringing garlic and chilli sauce so we never ran low. Our wine was chilled and the waiter was an old familiar face. The decor and atmosphere was spot on. Unfortunately we now love a distance away but if I could go back often I would and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Why isn’t this place higher up on the list for recommendations??? It’s the absolute nuts. The hummus was beyond lovely. The salad was fresh as a daisy and the meat was perfect! Don’t waste your time thinking about it just do it!

Worst takeaway ever, menu says “Deep fried aubergine, courgette, mix peppers with chef’s special sauce served with yoghurt and rice” £12..... get a box of wet veg with a bit of oil and some yoghurt. Called them and get told there’s problems with Just Eat UK, no refunds, no option to get anything else and for that dish you should come to the restaurant....won’t be bothering with them again.

Visited Nazar last Friday for my birthday dinner. We were a party of 23, all the food was served at the same time (no mean feat for such a large table), food was delicious, catered for all of our different dietary requirements brilliantly. Drink was free flowing and the service was first rate. Would thoroughly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to pay a return visit!

This is the second time we have visited. The first time we walked out due to awful service. This time, I am writing this after finishing my main course while my husband is still waiting for his!! Completely unacceptable and unbelievable!! Absolutely awful service that I have never experienced in a restaurant. I cannot recommend this place at all.

The portions are very generous, dishes are all full of flavour. Service is very friendly. Highlight for me is the hummus. It can get lively on a Friday or Saturday night, so don’t go then if you want somewhere quiet or intimate.

Really enjoyed the food but felt the service is not the best. Maybe we have just had some grumpy people serving us. Although we’ve been quite a few times now. Food wise the meat is cooked perfectly and the portion sizes are very generous.

Booked as a family of seven for a mid Christmas break. Really impressed with the establishment, nice decor, attentive staff, delicious wine and the food was amazing. Went with the family platter for eight. The starters were so tasty and the main platter was a mixture of succulent grilled meats on a bed of rice, served with a refreshing mixed salad. All cooked freshly and all the meat was tender and delicious. We we definitely return!

I would like to add my post here, as we just booked here and went with friends 18th December. It was busy with Christmas parties and very noisy. We waited 45 minutes before someone came up and asked if we were ready to order. I replied, I would first like to see a menu and also order drinks. We ordered drinks and 3 of them came before I asked again 15 minutes later for my drink. The tables were so sticky that the napkins were stuck solid to the table. We ordered 4 meals and were told the meal I ordered they no longer made, so I hurriedly changed my order rather than wait another 45 minutes. The food came and though 2 dishes were the same, the plates they came in were different, which on its own is not a problem. One waiter came to apologise about the wait and mix up because it was busy and they were short staffed, saying after our main courses we can order desserts or drinks for free. We ordered desserts and when we got the bill we were charged for desserts so had to complain about this, which was questioned. Always we had different people coming to the table so no conformity. We shall not be coming back after this really shocking Christmas experience!!

Four of us visited on a Saturday afternoon. We all chose vegetarian dishes. Free hummous and toast was brought and the meals came soon after. Big portions and all meals were enjoyed. No room for pudding. Staff were very nice and extremely courteous. One small niggle - my feet got cold. I do tend to like rooms warmer than the average person, however, so perhaps its just me. The prices were very reasonable also. We all said we would go back.

Me and my girlfriend went for lunch on a Sunday, ordered a main each and falafel to share. The food was lovely but thought the falafel was overpriced for the portion size we got. Other than that we had a nice meal and will definitely come back!

I fount my visit here so stressful ! Reserved table a week in advanced, turned up to no reserved table... Once seated, waited around 10 mins for menus... then around 25-30 ( at this time a couple had walked out due to wait) for a waiter to come and take order, to be told, she could only take drink order... 15 mins later drinks arrive, 30 mins later, after pointing out we still needed to order food, she took the order ( even though we were told 30 mins ago she couldn't take food)40 mins later... we got the starters ( ordered family bundle menu), nice, just no way enough bread, and way too much dip... after we'd piled up our plate to make it ovs. We'd finished 20 mins later mains arrived. We had to request a plate to eat on... glasses were empty, no waiter in site... we asked for the bill and explained all the above to the waiter/ manager... and they did offer a drink and apologised-but it was too late, i did not find this good enough, so declined the offer paid and left... the restaurant should be open for large parties or small dinning, not both! Worst service I've honestly ever experienced ! Will

I went in on my own one evening, and handed myself over to the capable hands of the waiter to choose my food. He didn't disappoint. The food was excellent, although there was way too much for me. Heartily recommended. Be warned, it seemed to fill up quickly even mid-week.

The staff hang around chatting, rather than doing their jobs. This place is way overpriced for Bedford. £17.75 for grilled fish is a joke! I can get good quality fish and chips for £6 just down the road. Prices go up in the evening for the same food, which is a rip off. I believe the meat is halal, and I refuse to pay that dubious stealth tax, which is another reason we won't return.

Was here for an evening meal, on a weekday and had no issues finding a seat. As many have mentioned, it is much bigger than what it seems from outside. Ordered Adana yogurtlu, as I tend to while trying a new Turkish place. House wine went well with it and the meal was cooked to perfection. Had only 2 staff members, a waitress and a guy from the bar doubling up as a waiter as well, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the service is delayed when packed with customers.

We were amazed by the size of the seating area once fully inside the restaurant very lively with lots of parties of all sizes being looked after very well. Lots of variety on the menu although some are just variations of similar items just a change of meat. Not overly clear what some were so ordered by numbers on the menu. Good table service by friendly waiting staff, bit of a mix up when food arrived knowing what belonged to who so reverted to numbers on the menu again. Loads of food on the plate in fact it was falling off onto the table, good quality and very tasty. Not rushed but served in a timely manner, will return again soon to try other Turkish dishes.

The food is good, different cuisine to the other restaurants in Bedford. The menu is a bit odd... almost like they bulk buy 10 ingredients and try and make 10 versions of the same thing... chicken, tomatoes, lamb, aubergine, rice salad.... chicken topped in aubergine; chicken stuffed aubergine; aubergine wrapped around chicken. Strange.

This restaurant will fill you up with some of the tastiest Turkish food, I've visited a few times now and everytime it has been excellent, the open kitchen in the centre of the restaurant allows you to see everything being freshly prepared too.

A real let down , have been a few times at lunch time & loved it .Went on a Saturday night awful the music was overbearing & not Turkish wich would of given a better atmosphere. The staff were rude & unhelpful waited over an hour for starters then 2 were missing had to wait to get attention to point this out.Then one of the starters was wrong when came . Waitress took empty beer glass away then brought out bottle of beer without glass husband asked for glass she then said well you have to wait for me to wash it up dont you.Waited a while again for main course one salad was swimming in a bowl of water . And one meal was wrong & then when lamb & potato dish came out it tasted burnt & bitter even soapy so left it. Also brought a coke to the table & then walked off with it. Other dinners around us were getting wrong orders as well a lot of food going back. Then got charged £19 service charge because 8 of us . Refused to pay this. What service ? spoke to manager & he just blamed his staff & being busy ( well dont take more bookings than you can cope with). The 2 is for the food as some of it was lovely but not all . As I said used to love it but wont be returning.oh was also a power cut in the kitchen & loads of smoke at one point somthing burnt probably ourlamb.

We visited this restaurant as a group of 10 - two families together. The food was amazing. Some of us opted for the family platter which was packed with food and although suggested a minimum of four people I think could have fed 6 or more. The food was awesome. Sadly the thing that let it down was the service was generally poor including trying to get drinks - we either had to wait too long or didn’t get them at all. Such a shame. If they sorted the service out - wow. The food was that good that the service would not stop us going back there. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and food. Will definitely go back. Sort out the service please.

All the specialities recommended by the server were very good, though not extraordinary. They are cooked on the grill which is opened to the guests. The restaurant room is rather spacious, more functional that a cosy place. The toilette facilities were correct. The staff was nice, but as soon as the restaurant went very busy, the service started to drop. We finished our meal without delivering the bread we requested.

Much bigger inside than it looks from the outside! Love the open kitchen where you can see your meats being cooked on open coal. The menu is vast with plenty to choose from and the service was extremely friendly and efficient. I will definitely be returning.

Haven't been here in a while, but I've always enjoyed it during the few times I've been. The food is so full of flavour and pretty big portions, so you should definitely leave feeling full! Though is a little pricey.
