This is one of the best NT cafes we’ve been too. Really nice atmosphere; plenty of natural light, friendly staff, clean and warm. The food was freshly prepared, scrumptious and well presented. I’ll definitely be back if I’m in the area.

After a fantastic visit to the Castle we needed a quick break and a quick bite. This tearoom here offers a nice selection of tea, cakes, sweets, scones and light lunches. Had a scone (clotted cream and jam) with tea and a jacket potato. A nice and sunny day, so we took a table outside. Our Bulldog was welcome as well. The Jacket potato was a very good deal. Nicely baked, loaded with beans and a fresh and crunchy salad on the side. For less than 6£! A nice place to grab a bite, very fair prices. Friendly staff. A wonderful way to end a visit to Bodiam Castle.

I’ve been coming here for food for a while and it’s always deliciously prepared and served by very friendly and welcoming staff. It’s a lovely cafe situated in a quiet side road in the centre of Ticehurst village, well worth seeking out, keep your eyes peeled for the sign for The Courtyard Cafe. The breakfasts set you up for the day and the lunches are amazing, I had the homemade quiche with chips and salad which was all homemade by the lovely staff and it was so delicious. Daily specials are also available including teas, coffees and cake. Good size portions, with seating outside for sunny days and very clean inside with plenty of seating. Ample parking available at the village car park just round the corner from the cafe, it’s a really friendly place to relax and so worth a visit. Will be going back again very soon.
