Nando's - Ilford in Redbridge

Usually it's not that bad, but this week we had to wait 1:20 minutes

Can't go wrong with a cheeky nandos! The staff are such lovely and welcoming people, so shout out to each member who worked today 💯 Food and drink nice as expected and music gives the vibes

Went to eat here alone, the staff who was meant to manage the queue called me up, then another guy said he was first, I was asked if I was first to which I replied ‘yes I believe I was first’ and the waitress took the other guy and said you’ll be next. After eventually being seated, I went to the counter to order, nobody was there so I waited, the lady came over to take my order and there were two other people waiting in the queue, again I was asked who was first to which I replied again, ‘I believe I was’ the lady behind the counter then turned to the other customer and just started taking the order from them. It seems like they must be extremely desperate for staff but as a nationwide food outlet, the staff standards are disgusting! I left disappointed and still had to pay for parking.

Today I had lunch at Nando’s, Ilford. This time it was absolutely quiet, no customers. I was greeted by one absolutely lovely guy, his name is George and he had a “ trainee” budge. He showed me a table, gave menu and asked about allergies. He kindly advised me to order from the cashier as I don’t use barcodes. Then I went to the cashier to order my food and the girl at the counter actually reduced my good mood. On the receipt her name is Catia, she was young black girl, not tall. Her face expression and service wasn’t nice. I felt unwelcome, like I personally bothered her being there or maybe she just hate her job. No smile, no engagement, barely any eye contact, total indifference. Didn’t explain me where I can get cutlery when she brought me my meal. When I left the table and looked around, then she showed the direction by her hand. Please can you retrain this particular person, I would love to give 5 stars and I gave 4 because of this attitude. Plus George( bless him) was absolutely amazing! He kind of balanced it out. Hope he will get some recognition or bonus. Thank you.

Food was not nice. Service was good, Seating and space is fine. The food was Dry, burnt and had no flavour even though asked for extra hot. Disappointed and will not be returning to this branch again any time soon!

Nice place and atmosphere) The establishment is cozy and thought out to the details) Wonderful staff and waitresses (they are very kind and polite) ordered a couple of dishes (everything was delicious, especially potatoes with meat) pita was also good (but in the photo it looked like there should be more french fries and a small piece of corn, that was not there) the only minus is that there is a lot of everything in the photo and that was not there) the food is hot, and it was prepared quickly) the selection of drinks is large... the wine is good) there were many people in the establishment and everyone was satisfied🩷

Everything is good here but sometimes waiting time can get longer and everything is quite pricey

Poor service, no cutlery was given and by the time we had received cutlery our food was cold and it totally ruined our time and staff was rude and unbothered with all of this.

We have been to this Nando’s before and it was very nice but this time the service was really bad. We ordered at 9:15 and the starters came a few minutes later then the waitress came to tell us that they had ran out of chicken and it would be half an hour late. We understood and waited patiently. The food was then brought at 10:10. Five minutes after an older man who looked like the manager started stacking the chairs and turned the music off and told us to take our food as takeaway. We waited almost an hour for our food just for us to be ushered out of the restaurant. Terrible experience

Very upset with today's staff. My brother complained about an unprofessional staff member. Who had no manners. Will not be returning. Staff are moany. And give dirty looks. Very upset.

I absolutely love this nandos,Neil is my favourite waiter 10/10.Outstanding service always from all staff but he stands out the most.

I had amazing service from a young lady called Rani. She was so friendly and attentive and made sure all our needs were met. She is such a beautiful soul inside and out!!!!!

Wouldn’t normally leave reviews for somewhere like Nando’s, but as I was leaving, the Chef acknowledged my partner and I, and wished us a good day, which compelled me to come on here and leave a review. Staff like that deserve recognition because they make a difference to businesses like this. It makes you want to return. On another note, my husband says his fino pitta was the best he’s had…4* for food is because chips weren’t as fresh as I would have liked, but we can get over that, just being honest.

The food has came cold and didn’t have the taste I came for. The few ladies working, where making online orders a priority, backing everything that was getting made which was so unfair when you’re with children and it was almost two hours of waiting. When getting a starter is an hour wait you have a problem. Many people were not seated cuz they didn’t have enough staff working. The public were recording, the over promised seats with no food in two hours needs to stop. And management coming out from the back just to go back www unreal. Seeing their team struggle.

Toooooo slow service, it’s very quiet but still slow service and food is tasteless compare other location nando’s.

I ordered Chicken Butterfly, Chicken Grilled Burger, and Chips. Chicken Butterfly was amazingly delicious. This is the first time I tried this. Chips were scrumptious as well. I didn't find Chicken Grilled Burger that great and it was ok. They use the online ordering system and items will be served to your table. It is spacious and has good seating capacity. The ambience is really good and the Staff is courteous. Tip: If you are a free frequent visitor to Nando's, I would recommend getting Nando's loyalty card as you will receive good reward for every three/four visits.

I went to the restaurant with a friend of mine whom I hadn't seen for 5 years so it was a reunion. I was let down by the service, it wasn't busy in the restaurant but we waited for about 30 minutes to be served. When they served our food the chicken in my plate was cold. I complained and had to wait for about 15 minutes for the chicken to be served by that time, my chips and the brocoli were cold. I really didn't enjoy my meal 😒. This was my worst experience in a Nando's restaurant.

Food was average, neatness is fair but there could be more value for money - the rice was particularly very small. Also, my order was almost mixed up with someone else's until I inquired.

My recent visit to Nando's in Ilford was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, highlighted by the Jumbo Platter. This combination of great food and excellent service made my visit to Nando's thoroughly enjoyable. It wasn't too busy the day I visited, which was a plus. Overall a good experience.

Not sure if it is my imagination or if the portion sizes are getting smaller, however the food was very tasty. The area we sat in seemed a little squashed, it was difficult to get in and out of seats.

Visited multiple times here fir Lunch and Dinner. Everytime a great experience. Staff was friendly and prices were normal. This branch at illford offer Halal food.

I was pleasantly surprised with the service I got at namdo's Ilford. The waiter Nana was very polite and extremely helpful. The lady at the till was patient and friendly, and all the other members of staff were always small and polite... the food was good too.

Nice place for mini meeting and celebration. Ilford house hold are so good. Talking care, and I saw they are trying to segregate the bin bag, which Is very important for us. Newham and other cities, let's do it if essex tries, why not us to for beautiful living.

What can you say it's Nandos. Good food loves the sauces, and yes, paying £21 for chicken may be a bit, but if you carve a Nandos, then what can be done. Not has busy has they used to be I remember we would have to queue for at 45 minutes for a table, not anymore

Not good management. Children were out of control. We had to change the seats. Toilets were very dirty

Not quick but you know its cooked fresh

I got the medium 1/4 chicken leg with two sides garlic bread and peri peri chips it was amazing especially with the peri peri sauce I had a great time here with my friend and the staff was amazing and asked us if we needed anything I would recommend everyone to try out Nando’s it is a lovely place to go for lunch and dinner with friends and family or for any celebration as I have been a couple of times and never been disappointed

Food always fantastic, just had a few issues on my recent visit where the chicken was pink inside (uncooked) highlighted lighted to the staff which they kindly recooked it. Also try the new loaded fries

Went for dinner and a great environment, food was amazing we ordered the sharing platter which had a good selection of grilled chicken & sides for 2 people and no long queues or waiting around. Clean, comfortable seating, tables and lovely decor and ambience as well. Staff were very helpful, even to accommodate a table change. Not too busy on a Sunday even when we went, and plenty of spaces available. Citi parking nearby, walking distance to Ilford Elizabeth line station and Ilford high road shops. Will definitely be back at some point!

This nandos is halal and never lets us down. Very loud sometimes.

Chicken had finished around quarter pass nine on Saturday. Ordered thighs and wings instead. Food was good.

Horrible food and arrogant staff.

Review specific to Nando’s ilford Upon reaching there was no staff to guide us to table and tables were also not very clean. Somehow even though the place was quiet empty , the staff was busy on their own. Had to wait on till to order as well. Order arrived in time though , we ordered butterfly chicken with rice and chips , which was decent. But the burger we ordered was horrible. Won’t recommend to anyone and the fact so many people are taking out time to write reviews, this place to should consider improving.

I went to Nandos with a friend on the 29/08/23 and the food was really good. The staff were really attentive, especially Misbah. He was really friendly and attended to my friend and I with any question we had.

As always it is a great place to go. Customer service was excellent. They make you always welcome. Food was great.

I got very bad experience today, we were three went to there before 10 pm . One black lady welcome us & gave 12 number table . She also gave us menu . My daughter decided food quickly because she was hungry . But after 10 mins later, when we are ready to give order , another lady said to go out because chicken was finished. My question is if food is not available, why they welcome us ? Why they give table and menu ? why they wasted our time? We are not going anymore there.

As usual delicious food and service was really good. I really impressed by staff members and they really helpful. I like lemon and herb flavour and it’s was so yummy. Really enjoyed food and time I been there Highly recommended friends and family

Really nice food, service is brilliant, we decided to order loaded fries (which were nice) after we placed an order by like 8-10mins, our food was almost ready but the staff there (Maybe manager or team leader), made it happen and even delivered it to our table, top service , top food and excellent atmosphere.

Nandos always hits the mark. There was a party of 13 and despite being a busy Friday the staff took care of us and made provisions for us to sit as a family and food was excellent as always, especially as both my parents are elderly and disabled they did great to look after us. Thank you Nandos

Nice chicken has the same standards as all the other nandos I've been to and have to say the staff are nice and attentive.

This store has never let me and my stomach down, I always have the greatest experience with the staff from this particular store The best members are : Haashim, Gabby, Suzy, Rhwister ask for them and trust me you will feel like home, they never hesitate to help you with your queries or dietary requests. I have been served by them even if they 5 min to close and never have I ever, felt rushed or pushed from behind to leave the store. They are an amazing team and when you have amazing team, you have fast service and devious food. I will definitely come back anytime I am around, I feel like I am a regular customer although this is my second time here.

Worst experience ever!!! Went there with my 1 year old son. Waited for 20 mins and not a single staff acknowledged us. We weren't seated it wasn't even busy at all. Never will I step in there again and wouldn't recommend anyone else to go

Great evening with the boys. Food came within 10mins of ordering. Great taste. Ample parking via car parks.

Stone cold burgers, buns was like stone hard, at first we were provided with the receipts but later on we found no order is on the screen, then suddenly manager turned up with the food which was cooked already sitting stone cold, on inquiry we staff told today bread is like that they can’t do nothing in it, highly disappointed, manager Neil was busy in making his staff member happy looks like more than staff member the way it was going on.

Disappointed service and extremely poor food hygiene! Spotted a long hair lodged in my burger and when I complained to the manager he didn’t even apologies and instead said ‘it may just be a hair knocking about’, he shrugged his shoulders and walked off!! Never going again!

Oh my God!! The worse Nando's ever in all the world!! No one to guide you when you get in. Poor service Cold food Unclean environment Tables are Unclean Even the forks, knifes and spoons are hidden and you should get from your table to take it !! Filthy. Tables are dirty and crammed together, mayonnaise stuck inside the menu. toilets smelt disgusting. Walked in, was there for 10 minutes, didn’t even bother ordering. Shocking experience and definitely not in line with the Nando’s brand. Have never experienced anything like this in another Nando’s resturant. Went into Big Mos diner next door, much better experience, highly recommend.

The food is nice at nando's most of the time but the staff were very friendly especially a guy named Rhiwster who was on point with his customer service.

Staff were friendly. The chef who prepared our meal cooked everything to perfection. I haven't eaten Nando's for over a year, but this man has made me more hopeful in receiving a quality meal when i visit... Disappointed that the chef who took over when his shift ended did not cover his beard when preparing food! I'm glad I didn't arrive at that time!!

WE WAS EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED WITH A STAFFS BEHAVIOUR AT NANDOS, SHE DROPPED THE ENTIRE PLATE OF FOOD ON THE TABLE AND THEN ON TOP OF THAT SHE BLAMED MY SISTER INLAW FOR SOMETHING SHE DID. SHE WAS EXTREMELY AGGRESSIVE AND WAS USING FOUL LANGUAGE TOWARDS US. WE HAD OUR 7 YEAR OLD NEPHEW WHO WAS ALSO WITNESSING ALL THIS. THEN SHE HAD THE CHEEK TO GO UPTO THE MANAGER AND COMPLETELY DENIED IT WAS HER FAULT INSTEAD KEPT ON BLAMING US ! HER BEHAVIOUR WAS UNEXCEPTABLE ! WE LEAVT IMMEDIATELY. WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE !

Dog food like there is a white lady who thinks she is everything plus when she gave my food she was spitting when she was talking I didn’t like that so I left without eating
