Nando's - Ilford in Redbridge

Service was absolutely rubbish. No one came to check up on us. We ordered garlic bread as one of our sides and we received it hard and cold. Had to go all the way to the counter to ask and even after that it still took a good 10 minutes. Food was average.

Greta gave us a really great service of course other staff were so helpful and good service too all that make me and my family were happy with that service more than the food.

Chicken was good, service is fast. Don't know why they charge for perinaise after spending over £40?.. but overall its was alright

I ordered 1/2 chicken extra hot, chicken is fine but dry and it's not extra hot, I can clearly see and taste as well that no extra sauce is added, along with that, no sauces with delivery order, no tissue, I was starving that's why I ordered from nandos and ordered extra hot because I like more sauces. But what I can do now. Why I had ordered from Nandos. I'm not in the restaurant that I can get some sauce. I'm disappointed, I was waiting for my food to come. And now what.

Nasos Ilford, conveniently located near Cineworld Ilford, offers a great dining experience, especially on weekends when it tends to be busy—similar to popular spots like Nando's. We went for dinner and had a wonderful time. The atmosphere was vibrant, and the food was fantastic. We ordered the sharing platter, which came with a good selection of grilled chicken and sides, perfect for two people. One of the highlights was the efficient service—there were no long queues or waiting, which made the experience even better. The restaurant itself was clean and comfortable, with lovely decor and a relaxed ambience. The staff were very attentive, even accommodating our request for a table change. Despite visiting on a Sunday, the place wasn’t overly crowded, and there were plenty of available seating options.

they had run out of chicken and when they got more chicken, prioritised takeaway orders and left people on the tables hungry and waiting for over 40+ mins…not to mention we had to wait 20 mins for a table too…poor management and inattentive staff

The worst nandos to come to.. no management at all, the wait is way too long when I've seen other nandos busier than this with faster service.. I've waited 30 mins and now chicken has run out so wait for longer.. when the food arrived it was cold and dry so it's been sitting on the counter for long.. I don't get the service here, everything was cold and dry

Had a great time. Food was good and the service was excellent, especially a guy named George. He was very kind and made us feel comfortable. Helped us with our queries etc.. I would say it is a bit overpriced but the food was tasty.

Me and my brother were served by Neil and his service was the best service I’ve experienced in my life. He was very nice and accomadating to us and he definitely deserves a big raise!

This is one of the go to places for my autistic daughter. She loves the food and atmosphere there. The staff is usually quite understanding and happy to accommodate my daughter e.g. a quieter spot where she doesn’t get disturbed. Service is also very quick and food is properly cooked. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is a Nando’s fan to visit Nando’s Ilford.

Food is good but the service isn’t. We had two chicken wraps and a 1/2 chicken but the portions are smaller than other Nando’s.

**PATHETIC AND RUDE SERVICE!** Staff took the absolute cake. Kissed her teeth when we arrived. Food didn’t arrive after 45 mins. Told after we made them aware that the chicken ran out.. CHICKEN RAN OUT?? Upon asking for a refund the same staff kissed her teeth and walked off. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! Incompetent at best. Go elsewhere and spare yourself a ruined family dinner due to an angry young lady. How do you even run out of chicken..

I recently visited Nando's in Ilford and had a disappointing experience. The service was poor from the start. One of our meals and a drink didn't arrive until we asked for them. We were then informed that they had run out of chicken, which was surprising for a place known for its chicken dishes. While they did offer a refund, it was frustrating to wait an hour only to be told this, especially since everyone else received their food. The staff's attitude was generally unhelpful and unfriendly, with the exception of one Indian gentleman who was polite and tried to assist us. Unfortunately, his efforts were overshadowed by the overall negative experience. I hope they can improve their service in the future, but based on this visit, I wouldn't recommend this location.

Terrible service, somehow ran out of chicken in the “barn” but was able to offer us a butterfly chicken after 1 hour later. Lady rolled her eyes and scoffed when she realised she had to make another chicken.

I recently visited Nando's, and it was quite a disappointing experience. First off, the service was painfully slow, with our server taking ages to even acknowledge our presence. When the food finally arrived, it was far from what I expected. The chicken was dry and lacked the flavorful kick Nando's is known for. The sides were equally unimpressive – the fries were soggy and the coleslaw tasted off. Nando's needs to step up their game if they want to keep their customers satisfied.

Extremely disappointed. Placed an online order for collection. Arrived on time. Waited 15 minutes to be served to be told the order will be another 10 minutes, waited for an additional 30 minutes to get food. Very poor!!

What can you say it's Nandos. Good food loves the sauces, and yes, paying £21 for chicken may be a bit, but if you carve a Nandos, then what can be done. Not has busy has they used to be I remember we would have to queue for at 45 minutes for a table, not anymore

I like the atmosphere here, I usually visit early afternoon and have the pick of anywhere to sit. Enjoyed everything about my meal, the 🫛 were perfectly cooked and the flavour was on point 👌🏽 The gravy was amazing!!! As for the Coca-Cola, it's always the best at Nandos!! George was a lovely waiter- wears a smile and was always on hand to help.

I was greeted by Misbah at the door who welcomed us and seated us in a booth as he noticed the kids with us. He was very polite and got colouring books for the kids immediately which was nice as I usually have to ask someone. He then helped us order and was very attentive throughout our entire meal. I could see Misbah managing the whole restaurant almost like he was a sole staff. Thank you Misbah, the food was lovely as usual with Nandos but this time my experience was better and smooth all because of you. Thanks a lot and we wish you all the best!

Served by George a few days ago, must say some of the best customer service I’ve experienced inside a Nando’s branch, he was very polite and attentive. Really made the experience worthwhile. We appreciate you!

Ilford Nando’s has really gone downhill. Atmosphere was so poor and the staff just looked like they don’t want to be there. However we got excited about the new ‘fully loaded wrap’ well what they failed to mention is that it is fully loaded with salad and you have to hunt for your chicken (which by the way is not pulled chicken just small slices). I told a member of staff - a very kind gentleman with a red t-shirt who went to the manager. She sent him back with some lame excuse that all the chicken portions are the same and weighed etc. We were not offered anything to make up for our disappointment nor did the manager have the decency to come and speak to us - pls note the restaurant was empty! I think in future I will stick to my trusted Beckton Nando’s!!!!!

Worst Nandos I have ever been to! I have been to so many Nandos and this is the worst yet. Firstly, when I went in, there was no chicken. Secondly, the customer service is so poor. So impolite and unbothered. The manager did not know how to deal with customers and was so stubborn. Thirdly, after asking them several times if they had chicken available and then agreeing that there was, when I go to the till to order they say that there is no chicken available. This is so ridiculous. Honestly this is the worst restaurant to go to, if I was you, I’d rather spend my money elsewhere or in another branch.

Great nandos, good service. Food was consistently good. Great for kids, wide tables with lots of space. Cinema nearby so great place to come afterwards with the family. Only criticism was several of the sauces didn't have the pouring lids on them... They did sort out eventually..

I couldn't leave the UK without having one last cheeky Nandos and leaving this review. I have to commend Nandos on having outstanding customer service which was a breath of fresh air given the atrocious customer service in Ilford. All the staff are I interacted with were friendly and helpful but one person stood out for me, Neil! You can tell by the way he speaks to customers that he loves his job and loves people. Oh and the food is good too. Can't go wrong with nandos.

Went to eat here alone, the staff who was meant to manage the queue called me up, then another guy said he was first, I was asked if I was first to which I replied ‘yes I believe I was first’ and the waitress took the other guy and said you’ll be next. After eventually being seated, I went to the counter to order, nobody was there so I waited, the lady came over to take my order and there were two other people waiting in the queue, again I was asked who was first to which I replied again, ‘I believe I was’ the lady behind the counter then turned to the other customer and just started taking the order from them. It seems like they must be extremely desperate for staff but as a nationwide food outlet, the staff standards are disgusting! I left disappointed and still had to pay for parking.

Today I had lunch at Nando’s, Ilford. This time it was absolutely quiet, no customers. I was greeted by one absolutely lovely guy, his name is George and he had a “ trainee” budge. He showed me a table, gave menu and asked about allergies. He kindly advised me to order from the cashier as I don’t use barcodes. Then I went to the cashier to order my food and the girl at the counter actually reduced my good mood. On the receipt her name is Catia, she was young black girl, not tall. Her face expression and service wasn’t nice. I felt unwelcome, like I personally bothered her being there or maybe she just hate her job. No smile, no engagement, barely any eye contact, total indifference. Didn’t explain me where I can get cutlery when she brought me my meal. When I left the table and looked around, then she showed the direction by her hand. Please can you retrain this particular person, I would love to give 5 stars and I gave 4 because of this attitude. Plus George( bless him) was absolutely amazing! He kind of balanced it out. Hope he will get some recognition or bonus. Thank you.

Food was not nice. Service was good, Seating and space is fine. The food was Dry, burnt and had no flavour even though asked for extra hot. Disappointed and will not be returning to this branch again any time soon!

Nice place and atmosphere) The establishment is cozy and thought out to the details) Wonderful staff and waitresses (they are very kind and polite) ordered a couple of dishes (everything was delicious, especially potatoes with meat) pita was also good (but in the photo it looked like there should be more french fries and a small piece of corn, that was not there) the only minus is that there is a lot of everything in the photo and that was not there) the food is hot, and it was prepared quickly) the selection of drinks is large... the wine is good) there were many people in the establishment and everyone was satisfied🩷

We have been to this Nando’s before and it was very nice but this time the service was really bad. We ordered at 9:15 and the starters came a few minutes later then the waitress came to tell us that they had ran out of chicken and it would be half an hour late. We understood and waited patiently. The food was then brought at 10:10. Five minutes after an older man who looked like the manager started stacking the chairs and turned the music off and told us to take our food as takeaway. We waited almost an hour for our food just for us to be ushered out of the restaurant. Terrible experience

Very upset with today's staff. My brother complained about an unprofessional staff member. Who had no manners. Will not be returning. Staff are moany. And give dirty looks. Very upset.

Wouldn’t normally leave reviews for somewhere like Nando’s, but as I was leaving, the Chef acknowledged my partner and I, and wished us a good day, which compelled me to come on here and leave a review. Staff like that deserve recognition because they make a difference to businesses like this. It makes you want to return. On another note, my husband says his fino pitta was the best he’s had…4* for food is because chips weren’t as fresh as I would have liked, but we can get over that, just being honest.

The food has came cold and didn’t have the taste I came for. The few ladies working, where making online orders a priority, backing everything that was getting made which was so unfair when you’re with children and it was almost two hours of waiting. When getting a starter is an hour wait you have a problem. Many people were not seated cuz they didn’t have enough staff working. The public were recording, the over promised seats with no food in two hours needs to stop. And management coming out from the back just to go back www unreal. Seeing their team struggle.

I ordered Chicken Butterfly, Chicken Grilled Burger, and Chips. Chicken Butterfly was amazingly delicious. This is the first time I tried this. Chips were scrumptious as well. I didn't find Chicken Grilled Burger that great and it was ok. They use the online ordering system and items will be served to your table. It is spacious and has good seating capacity. The ambience is really good and the Staff is courteous. Tip: If you are a free frequent visitor to Nando's, I would recommend getting Nando's loyalty card as you will receive good reward for every three/four visits.

I went to the restaurant with a friend of mine whom I hadn't seen for 5 years so it was a reunion. I was let down by the service, it wasn't busy in the restaurant but we waited for about 30 minutes to be served. When they served our food the chicken in my plate was cold. I complained and had to wait for about 15 minutes for the chicken to be served by that time, my chips and the brocoli were cold. I really didn't enjoy my meal 😒. This was my worst experience in a Nando's restaurant.

Not sure if it is my imagination or if the portion sizes are getting smaller, however the food was very tasty. The area we sat in seemed a little squashed, it was difficult to get in and out of seats.

Visited multiple times here fir Lunch and Dinner. Everytime a great experience. Staff was friendly and prices were normal. This branch at illford offer Halal food.
