When we arrived we asked the host for an allergy menu, she asked what allergies I had and if they were airborne, she informed me that there are nuts in the building and that she would put them away for me. She was amazing and made me feel at ease from the get go. I did not get her name but she has red hair. The manager took our order at the till and my meal came with an allergen stick which always makes me feel like my allergy has been taken seriously. I do not eat out often as it can feel really scary but I felt very safe here today! Thank you! The food was really nice too!

Easy walking location from our hotel, and not to busy. Nando’s never fails to disappoint with a quick lunch! Good service too

When me and my friend arrived, were told that there would be a 15 minute wait to be seated, which then turned out to be 25. There was no legitimate reason for this as half of the place was empty. It is apparent that they are SEVERELY understaffed due to the counter overflowing with portions of food just sitting there and going cold. My friend and i then waited a total of 40 minutes for our food after it had been ordered just for half of it to come cold alongside unreasonably small portion sizes. I asked for free water because they didn’t deserve the money of a unrefillable bottle and ,to my surprise, i could barely fit my glass under the drink dispenser due to the piled up ice that had been left there for who knows how long. Was bamboozeld by the clear lack of effort put into serving and the fact we waited so long to be seated when there were many tables available. Utter chaos and a complete mess. I do not recommend eating in. In fact, whilst we were waiting it seemed like the crowd of people who had ordered take away had just about as many problems as us.

Normally service in Nandos is quite fast. This time the 3 people dined with got their food but I didn't. Eventually I had to go to counter to ask and did so 3 times as my food still hadn't come and my 3 other diners had almost finished This was my worst experience of many visits to Nandos and won't ever dine here again

Horribly slaw service. Then out of 2 meals 1 was ready and sitting under the lights whilst they are trying to defrost some pitta bread for the second meal. The waiter came to speak with us saying 1 meal is ready but not the other so we asked him to remake the first meal as clearly got cold. 5 min later both meal turned up and both was ice cold. We showed it to the waiter who actually asked us "what you want me to do". Horrible experience.

Really poorly managed ordered food for collection at 6pm on the app food was ready at 7:10 and wasn’t cooked properly was slightly cold

Visited in the week, staff seemed disinterested and not very engaging. Waiting a long time for drinks and food. Food was nice but service not so good.

I actually ate here both nights I was in Cambridge because of car problems and this was the closest restaurant to my hotel. The food was great and service was good, and we had enjoyable meals both times. Would definitely return if I was in the area again.

Came out for my birthday had wonderful service from a chap named Dylan he went above and beyond to assist us food was incredible thanks to the chef and Dylan for making our occasion top notch

John the manager does not need to work here. He was so rude to myself and my partner in front of the whole shop. I’ve eaten with you 100’s of lunches and never had this experience. Never had this anywhere to be honest. They tried to deliver our main course before the starter. Once we told them we were waiting for the starter, they made the starter, meaning our main sat there under the lights for 30 minutes. We asked nicely if they could redo it and they agreed. We watched them just remake the chips and swap these out onto the plate to try and fool us. Which was incredibly disrespectful. The restaurant was basically empty as well, so it was very obvious. I would like to know if that’s your official policy for dealing with cold food? We could hear John from the other side of the restraunt lying to his staff telling them the food had only been there 5 mins, telling them he wouldn’t remake it. The staff knew as well as I did it was sat there for ages as we kept speaking to them about it! The staff were more in control than him. He refused to speak to me out of the kitchen, then had a go at me for standing in the entrance?? I’ve never seen a manager like this - their main job is dealing with customers. John still refused to remake the order and just muttered abuse at me from the kitchen. I’m going to take this as far as I possibly can. As I was not expecting this level of abuse and disrespect over such a minor issue. The staff actually apologised to me for his behaviour and told me they all feel the same way. One member even told me this happens all the time with him! I’ve never asked for a meal to be redone in my life, in fact this was the first. I would like to be updated on how this is being handled as I will continue to post on all review websites about this experience and manager. If you have any questions please reach out.

We chanced getting a table very late on in the evening after a long journey - we weren't sure if we were too late, but the staff were more than welcoming and seated us quickly. The food arrived quickly and was delicious - we had hummus and pitta to start, and for mains we had a butterfly burger and a beanie wrap. Thank you very much to the team who saved the say for us after a long and tiring drive!

Had a collection order from here with the new pimenta spice on a Fino pitta. It is probably my favourite marinade now so hoping it will stay longer than limited edition. Collection was also quick and easy. I arrived a little earlier than my allocated time but they had the order ready in no time at all and earlier than expected!

We are regular Nandos customers and this place was by far the worst one we've been to. Had a starter of hummus with peri drizzle, The pitta bread was stale, had to go to counter as they forgot it included the drizzle. 2 or maybe 3 minutes later the mains arrived, would have been nice to have a chance to Finnish chewing through the hard pitta first. Nobody came to ask if everything was OK with the food as there was no chicken spike on our uncleaned table.oh and the coke was tasteless, possibly running out.

I don't usually review chains because they're all the same but this visit warranted one as I felt the service deserved some recognition- in particular Jacob. I was accompanied by my severely autistic friend who rarely leaves the house let alone attends a restaurant. He did a fantastic job looking after us, thank you. Chicken was bang average as it should be.

Food was great and served promptly staff were also incredibly helpful even assisting me with a lost earphone they managed to retrieve for me.

The Nandos food and staff were exactly what you expect but the toilet in this branch on the night we visited was disgusting and filthy. I will not go into detail but it wasnt nice.

Always know what you're getting at nandos and that's amazing food and great service! This one is no exception! Food on point and service was excellent! Chicken, cake and wine! Love it!

Always a good nandos, food is always served nice and hot, fast and friendly service and helpful staff. Toilets/ the restaurant was very clean, we had someone come to our table to ask if we wanted any thing else and how our meal was etc, favourite branch I've visited.

This Nando´s is a great restaurant with very friendly and helpful staff. The food is so tasty we were quite sad when we were finished :) You can choose how spicey you want your food. You choose your table and the waitress marks it for you. Then you can choose from the menu what you want and order it at the front and also pay it there. Then you go to the drinks and fill your glass, get the cutlery and take a bottle of sauce with you. Shortly after, your food is served to your table. I would really recommend the Halloumi sticks with Chili jam. It was so tasty. Next time in Cambs we will return to your lovely Nando's. Sadly we don´t have this chain in our country :(

Nando's is just the best, I don't have to worry about wheat I just get to enjoy Chicken and all the trimmings. The new restaurant is greatly designed and perfect if when its busy, the staff are wonderful and the food is just sublime! Will be going here as much as is allowed!

Wouldn’t normally leave a review when I didn’t eat at the place but with the reason being the staff I will in this case. This is the first time I have ever walked out of a place because I wasn’t acknowledged by the staff. Firstly the restaurant was empty with a couple of people waiting for take away. I walked in and waited for a member of staff to approach or acknowledge me. A couple of staff walked away in the opposite direction, not one member of staff acknowledged me to say they would be with me in a minute. After 4 mins I gave up and walked out, Why wait around if they can’t acknowledge you then it doesn’t look promising for the rest of the service.

Who would have thought that a simple meal of chicken and chips would be so good? Absolutely fantastic food, cooked to perfection and the staff are really welcoming, friendly and smiley. Been a few times now, love it. From children right up to an 81 year old, all completely satisfied.

Went there this evening just before 10 o’clock and they said I only have 1 min to order! But I was okay with that cause I knew what to order. I ordered a salad and a chips straightaway before sitting in. The table was not cleaned and it was sticky. After couple of minutes the chips came on the table on its own but my salad didn’t come. I waited for my salad for 10 mins before discovering that my salad had been served to different guests. One of their waitress took the salad back from that table and went to their counter. And the moment came, she served the same salad on my table! The salad was in front of another guest’s table for more than 10 mins and they didn’t even bother to change this. The chicken on the salad was cold and hard like rocks. They never bothered to heat up the chicken before serving it to me straight from another table! I am a regular Nando’s eater never seen this kind of disrespect to the customer. I would have given them 1 star, 2 is for letting me in just before a minute before closing. Not recommended, specially in the late evening.

table for two please! It was not good welcome not Hi no good evening from the waiter!!! The some waiter show us our table and left ! The table was so Sticky Disgusting!!! I called the same waiter (Asian guy near the door) cleanup the table and he didn’t look very happy about our complain! We ordered our food halloumi sticks and dip and wing roulette : the starter arrived 1 minuets after our order !n1 mistake no halloumi but they delivery houmous 2 mistake:the chicken wing with soggy skin not grilled just few marks we didn’t have time to finish our start that main courses arrived I cannot understand from the kitchen they can see if the customers have finish their starters why they don make sure if they can send the main courses to the table! Not god service at all

Come here quite regularly but the last 3 times have been terrible. Kept coming back in the hope it would get better but doesn’t. Can at lunch time. 1 person serving, queue massive. Starters came separately which was annoying. One of the mains was wrong which has happened many times before. Didn’t even bother telling them this time. My daughter instantly felt unwell after eating. Won’t be coming back here again

The chicken breasts were minuscule and dry and the “crispy skin” was like a bike inner tube, the bun was stale.

Just recently left nandos with a disappointing visit, waited over 20 mins for the chicken to come out burnt, and extremely dry. It ruined the entire flavour and texture of what it should of been, I've also never seen sweet potatoes be so burnt in my life!

Ate here last Friday evening, it was the usual Nando's experience, the food was fine and the service quick and staff pleasant. Nothing wrong with it at all.

Nice lunch out, food was tasty and piping hot. Even the 20 minute wait for a table wasn’t too bad. Toilets need vast improvement though!

Once again Nando’s have met our expectations in terms of the food and service. Sorry there’s no photos but we thoroughly enjoys the chicken thighs, half- chickens, peri chips, roasted vegetables, super-grain and macho peas. We’ll be back again soon.

I've eaten in a fair few Nando's and this one stands up near the top of the pile. Service is fast. On one recent trip a minor mistake was made with one order and the corrected meal was served to us faster than I'd expect a first attempt at most Nando's. Always plenty of sauce bottles available (although a couple more Vusa's would be appreciated).

Took our grandson, aged 3, to this Nandos, whilst visiting him last week. Food and experience was excellent - he's a regular with his mum and dad, we'd never been before. What struck me most however, was the way the manager dealt with a group of young people, who were clearly trying to obtain a "free lunch" by making ridiculous claims about the food etc. These people were offensive, loud and totally lacking charm and manners. And considering they had very young children in tow, their behaviour was abysmal. Anyway, the manager was a model of calm, polite and reasonable behaviour. We witnessed him deal with the situation and couldn't help but admire his patience and manner. He is a credit to the chain.

Went here whilst staying at the Premier Inn next door, as part of a one-day overnight business trip. We love Nando's (and always have the same combo) so were delighted when we spotted this restaurant at the retail park next door to the hotel. Loved our meal, service was really friendly and quick - it was crowded when we got there, but we were quickly shown to a nice table. Great food at a reasonable price!

Having eaten at the Cambridge leisure park Nandos I thought it was, well just a bit meh..., didn't really rate it much food was always a bit tired and dry and boring. When we went shopping on Saturday and the grandchild suggested Nandos I thought let's give it a try. The Newmarket road one is so much better. Clean and light and airy, there are plenty if staff who are lovely and friendly and the venue is good. The food was really lovely, perfect ceaser salad crisp fresh and with plenty of ingredients. Fresh and crisp nicely presented and there was a good choice to chose from. My son in law is coliacs and there was a book with all the food ingredients listed. Loved it and will definitely eat there again.

You just can't go wrong with Nandos! A family favourite of our's. Always great food. We were happy to find this Nandos restaurant behind our hotel (Premier Inn Cambridge East) during our weekend in Cambridge. The staff were lovely, kind and helpful. We really enjoyed the new boneless platter. The wings were also great (as always), Rice, Piri piri chips, garlic bread.. After a day of walking miles around Cambridge taking in all of the tourist attractions, feasting on Nandos food was the perfect way to end our day.

Enjoyable meal which took a little long to arrive at our table due to how busy it was but otherwise was everything you want from a Nando’s. Possibly the best Nando’s restaurant in Cambridge in terms of the standard and cleanliness.

Friendly staff and nice meal. The menu has been extended over the years and has a nice variety of food. Free parking outside the restaurant which makes it very convenient.

Place of choice if a meal without a wait is needed. Food is tasty and a good variety to pick from. Let down by not having an ice!

Went to this Nando’s for lunch whilst shopping and was pleasantly surprised of the efficiency of the team. The Extra Spicy Chicken wings did not disappoint and would recommend if you want to be in and out in a hurry

Nando's has always hit a sweet spot in catering to our family needs for fiery chilli explosion right through to a fairly plain gluten-free grilled chicken & chips. We've been regulars at this newish one as it's closer to home than the others. The decor is funky, and the music upbeat afro-cuban. Get your timing right, as there are sometimes queues. Put up with the occasionally wobbly furniture as the food is good & cheap & fun. High point: peri-peri vusa sauce! Low point: wilted salad - swapped promptly for cole slaw but the waitress couldn't tell what I was complaining about.

Good Service. It is the place to go if you want a chicken meal. But other meal options are very limited. It's Nando's so what else would you expect?

As the next door Premier Inn doesn't do food during afternoon they directed us to Nandos 2 mins walk away. Not to busy but families as usual , quick efficient service. tasty reasonably priced.

Nothing special. Always seem to be excess staff but service is slow. Not really child friendly either.

I arranged for our under 15's football team to have a pre Christmas get together. All the lads had a great time. They all enjoyed their food. The service was very good and the staff were very helpful and accommodating.

Staying at the Travelodge across the road so a good place to get a reasonably good priced, tasty meal. A no frills dining venue, but staff pleasant and helpful. Quick service.

A relative came over from New Zealand and as he had not been to a Nando's before I thought I would take him to this location.

Our eldest took us out for lunch after getting his first pay packet which was supposed to be a special event but AGAIN, we visited this new store and they had run out of mushrooms! Being a vegetarian, this left few options for me.

Wanted something quick and not too costly so went to Nandos. Very disappointed. Was told the half chicken had only just gone in the oven and would be 20 mins. Offered a free starter which was good. But then had an hour wait, noone came back to tell us and when it came the other meal ordered was luke warm (chicken burger) and was tiny. Small portion of sweet potato mash which was watery. Not impressed! Filled out the survey after but doesn't seem Nandos like to offer any compensation for poor service. I also can't seem to get their mob app to work and register the loyalty card. Wont be going back. Wished I'd gone to Frankie and Bennys next door!

We stopped in here whilst visiting lunchtime on a saturday and were expecting a big wait. We had our food within about 10 minutes of ordering. Service was quick and friendly, food was nice and we were in and out quickly!

We thoroughly enjoyed our first experience in the newly built, eco-friendly Nando's and will be revisiting.

Having been on a long shoot we needed food and fast; to be honest Nando's wasn't our first choice but having been rudely told we would have a 30 min wait and the next door F & B's we decided Nando's would be best, we were greeted quickly and warmly and shown to a table, deciding on food was a bit more difficult as one of us was a Nando's virgin, but once ordered the food was great and served quickly, in spite of the restaurant being very busy. Desserts were great also, will certainly visit again.

My wife and I are nando lovers and the new restaurant on newmarket road is great. It is one of very few restaurants in the city with its own parking and a nice outdoor patio for the summer. The service is friendly but often a little slow to respond to customer requests/needs. I highly recommend the red pepper dip!

Fire alarm tripped whist we were waiting for food, no evacuation of premises and people carried on eating. After about 30 minutes we were told that our food would be another 30 minutes because the gas had gone off, after another 20 minutes I could see that our food was still sitting raw on a cold griddle, another griddle was working and everyone who arrived after us appeared to be eating. Asked waitress (I went to her) if we would get our food, she said no, but that we could order other items from the menu and that there would be another wait whist it was cooked. We were treated like lepers after complaining. The one star is for the close proximity to Frankie and Benny's where we eventually had a very nice meal. Avoid this Nandos, there are much better ones in Cambridge

It's not the biggest of restaurants but bigger than expected inside.

On the edge of a retail park so you don't have the highest expectations but this place delivers a very pleasant experience. We did not appreciate until the chap who welcomed and seated us explained that the eatery was built using sustainable and mainly natural materials and all waste etc was processed to be reusable in some form or other. Our food was so tasty we left nothing for processing other than a tip. the pleasant outside terrace meanson a hot day if you are lucky you can get a table there. Even if you don't the open plan airy interior provides a comfortable dining space. The staff are friendly and seem keen that you enjoy your time there.

I am a seasoned Nando's eater and love the new restaurant. We sat outside in the sunshine and although only looking at the car park it was still lovely.

We visited this new restaurant at lunchtime, mid-week, it was pretty busy but, the service was good. The restaurant is more open plan compared to the Leisure Park one, however the ambiance was good, nice level of background music, no overspill noise from other diners. The toilets, tables and seating was clean and the staff checked if our meal was OK. We had a quarter chicken and the chicken breast pitta with sides, all well cooked and tasty. I tried the new Peri, Peri, Vusa sauce which really does pack a punch, it is tasty not just full on burn, however start cautiously you can always add more. All in all a good, wholesome, lunch which included NHS discount always a nice touch.

I do enjoy visiting Nando's, so as soon as a new one opened I was sure to visit. I visited with a friend in early April 2017. Service was quite slow but I blame a busy restaurant and teething problems with new staff/new shop etc. More expensive than other Nando's I've visited, but the food was delicious as always! Recommended over the lacklustre Frankie & Bennies next door!
