New renovated Nagina is up in price, low in quantity and low is taste. Seating is now good but quantity and taste have decreased. Halwa Puri now come with two table spoons of halwa and channa.

My family and I were coming to this restaurant for years, especially when the founder was around. Even after his passing, his son kept the quality of the food high. However, during my recent visit, we were extremely disappointed. It seems like the founder’s nephew, or possibly his son’s nephew, is now in charge, and the food quality has noticeably declined. We ordered the chicken karahi, but it was completely different, no longer flavourful, and instead of the large boneless chicken cubes we used to get, it was mostly small bones with barely any meat. It felt like a cost-cutting tactic, and it's really disappointing to see how far the quality has dropped. Additionally, the toilets were dirty, with many flies around, which added to the unpleasant experience.

One of the oldest and best Asian Restaurants in ilford lane, I’ve always enjoyed their food, they have recently renovated the whole place and staff is friendly as ever, definitely recommended.

Food was good but atmosphere was ok it was not too good there was no space to sit comfartably

I haven't tried the food yet but day and night it's always busy. If you're craving for spicy curry this is the place. All freshly made food.

Nagina has been renovated recently and they have more comfortable seating with plush sofa like seating. The food however is the same. Quite tasty and at reasonable prices. Very good for dine in experience unlike before when it was more suitable for take away. Puris were crispy. Channay and aloo tarkari (potato curry) were both tasty but not too spicy. Halwa was delicious 😋 Recommend for couples, families and friends.

Today, we went to nagina for breakfast and delighted to see the renovated restaurant with comfortable seating. Service was very good aswell. Food was good aswell. Overall very much satisfied.

We asked for half kilo Mutton Karahi to be made extra spicy. It arrived mild/bland. I asked for extra green chillies. I was given two separate bowls of green chillies. One was apparently ‘hot’ and the other one was ‘extra hot’. When I ate them, at most, they were ‘medium’. So, the chef is making your ‘extra spicy’ curries with these medium spice chillies. Maybe use some hoy chilli powder? This is supposed to be a traditional Pakistani cuisine in Ilford with spicy foods and flavours, but they are making their food mild and watered down as if catering to white people in central London.

They just had a renovation and it’s amazing you even have to wait outside for 20 minutes and that 20 minutes of waiting just gos away from eating the food it is worth to wait 20 mins for eating yum!!!

I tried there Halwa Puri Nasta and Nihari. It’s was literally the worst decision of my life to have breakfast here. Really disappointed with the food. The channa was too oily and no flavour. The Naan was moderate and Nihari. Would never eat here again.

Delicious authentic Pakistani breakfast!

Food was delicious fantastic.They have AIR-CONDITION But turn off. It's very very hot and no sauce with food and no water.

Food is not fresh they must microwave it and gona serve you.

Sitting is not enough but food is so good.

They renovate Nagina Resturent. Now everything price is increase. Rubbish . They will charge more than good environment Resturent. Over charging is not acceptable. Not recommended

One of the best hotels in Illford lane to enjoy Pakistani cuisines, we had Halwa puri for nashta and it was a good experience. You should also try lassi; its better to buy a jug for 8 pounds than to buy glass for 4 pounds, you can make like 4-5 glasses from a jug. Thank me later and enjoy

Halwa Puri was adequate - good puris, but flavourless chana masala and halwa. Sweet lassi was tasteless and watery. Hard pass on this place.

Excellent food and amazing atmosphere.

Decent place for your desi breakfast fix. Don't expect top cleaning standards, one should only go there for the food and nothing much. One thing very annoying, which hasn't changed for years, is that they only accept cash.

Avoid like the plaque! I bought 10 naans for the family for dinner. Everyone suffered mild stomach issues, but one member of my family suffered very badly. Hygiene levels must be very bad to get this issue from just naan.

This restaurant has been here for ages, sticky n slippery greasy floor, same old ambience, food quality hasn't improved in 2 decades. I'd be interested to see back door kitchen hygiene and cleanliness standards!

Brought 2 kebab rolls, kebabs wer not fresh made on the spot they just microwaved, took them back the shop guy was just staring into me confused. Most food looks like its not fresh.

Picked up lunch in this halal mode only place. Fast service and tasteful food. Picked up naan, nihari, pakora curry and Chole. Overal good place for a nice breakfast. There are some tables inside to eat in.

Very bad customer service guy talking on the phone with someone 10 minutes not bothered to take oder I asked for kebabs he put in the microwave and left there for another 5 minutes I left without food bad service

Old school restaurant on the block been going to this restaurant for years and years, Love how tasty and authentic there dishes are, it's really busy on the weekends so get your food early , 10 out of 10 always .

I must say food was really delicious and service was good too. My 1 star is due the the practices with their food prep. All food are warmed in the microwave using plastic containers, hot food served in plastic containers for takeaway. So be sure of getting a cancer if you eat here regularly. I will change my review to 5 star once restaurants takes appropriate actions to remove plastic containers from the prep process, also minimise the use of microwave oven

Halwa pur is the only thing good

Stale samosa chat. Would not recommend. Not fresh at all. They run it in microwave and give it to you. Feels nauseated after having it and Would not recommend this restaurant. Tried halwa puri as well. There are better options within same price.

Was their for the first time at Nagina....so wonderul experience, and they're fully aware of the fact that what their guest actually wants... their poori & chanay were great & halwa was although short of sugary, according to me, but was up to the mark as far as cooked. It was busy on Monday morning despite the fact that the entire London is on rush on busy bee Monday's!! The prices are very Economical & taste was epic & stupendous!!

Chane are average ones nothing special and the halwa is not soft just like home made very disappointed this time

Gave my mother food poisoning! My mother came home after having the chicken from this restaurant and fell very ill! She complained that the chicken didn’t taste nice and was a bit undercooked!

Best halwa puri I have had so far in London. Had to wait for a while in the queue but was worth it. Halwa, puri, channay were fresh and satisfying. Prices are reasonable, and service is fast. I will definitely come back.

It's not a good idea to tell customers on collection that you do not accept cards. I think you better let them know that you will only accept "CASH" when taking orders over the phone. I still can't believe why you refuse card payments?

Lives up to the reputation of the amazing halwa poori channey on the weekend. Poori were fresh, Kulchas fresh out of the oven. We had breakfast for 3 people all under 20 GBP. Limited seating and can have a queue for sitting in.

It's a good restaurant in taste but I couldn't find the ambience good for families as it is a small place, but for authentic Pakistani food it can be a good place to takeaway.

I had the halwa puri for takeaway. Wasn't the best I've had, was very average and the halwa looks like it was from last night. Also note they don't serve tea

Enjoyed very delicious and freshly made Puri with tasty Halwa and Chana. I must say Chana’s that they serve with puri is delicious than I have ever eaten in Pakistan. They also have good variety of other Pakistani dishes like we saw saag, Qeema, bhindia, ghost roast chicken served with fresh tandoori roti. And lots of locals residents come for take away

I always go here when I want to have authentic halwa puri. Great taste and service is good. Staff is respectful. Also tried the Haleem n naan plus Nihari too.

Best place to have Halwa puri only but anything else I am not sure about it. Ordered halwa puri, lamb keema good taste but 50-60% potatoes and haleem ( barely any meat and was too runny). Naan couldn’t be any better. Lassi was good too.
