Nafees Sweet Centre in Manchester

We picked up breakfast dishes. Parata, halwa pooree, nihari, teas and a box of indian sweets. We were extremely disappointed, the food was not tasty and very lukewarm. The sweets were stale and tasted horrible. Such a shame to waste money and food. We will not be visiting this place again.

They did not deserve even any star yesterday I went with my husband for breakfast as we went random no plan what to eat so the first expression was treat us like we were there to eat free 😂 then they taken us like as a fake couple.(like a extra marital affair) so move to food we ordered chick peas (chaneh and naan) with Halwa and tea. Chick peas curry was cold we requested to warmed so next step we even not finished one mid aged men came and took the plates from table as he gave us an intention to leave the table because there were 4 young ladies waiting for the table my husband was felt awkward but kept calm as he behaved with family. Instead of requesting us they showed attitude and charged extra money. It was really disappointing as women. So next time anyone wants to go for food couple take their kids with you because some pakistani idiots only believe them couple. specially for the decent family. I did not forget this incident because we were not live local there we went from Bolton

First time ordering at Nafees via UberEat and needed to call regarding food intolerances. The gentleman I spoke to was very helpful and my food was delivered quickly. One of the best Niharis I've had in a long time, tasty, fresh ginger/chilli/lemon and generous portion. Didn't seem fatty like others I've tried and will be re-ordering. Thanks!

Salam evry one specially Nafees bakers Stockport Road Longside Friday morning we go for breakfast and we did order halwa pori and chanaa and one portion paayaa There is no space for sitting and we did decide to bay food and go in park behind the Ld there is small park it’s just two minute walk from thereand we sit thear and start to eat and when i open the paaya it’s looks so beautiful but when I start to eat it’s so bad smelling Then I called to Nafees bakers they said to me bring back food then when I go back there he checked food and he told me yes the food is not okay and he threw straight away in bin and he did not give my money back even I paid £39 Please guys stay away From Nafees bakers Stockport Road

It was our first time here and food was amazing. We opted for halwa puri, chany and Aloo partha combo. Puri , channy and paratha sizes were generous and quite filling. However, they served mere two spoons of halwa which was not enough at all. Environment inside the place was quite hectic and management needs to sort out people waiting for their food or to be seated in. People were literally standing right next to our table which was quite annoying. It felt like they were standing right over your food and watching you eat your food.

Visit after 10 years, we ordered Halwa puree I must say quality, quantity and customer service has gone up to excellent. no doubt no body can beat Nafees longsight for halwa puree or morning breakfast.Lad who served us Omer was amazing & polite. other halwa puree nearby are not good as Nafees. Branch Manager was constantly working with the team to make sure all services are good.

Well Nashtaa was really great, we ordered halwa puri, paya, and Haleem, Lassi. Was really tasty just like a in Pakistan.

Bought 4 portions and they have reduced their quantity a lot but prices are high. The amount of halwa now given is ridiculous. Channai amount is less too. Won’t be going there again just a waste of money.

Visited first time for having some Nashta here in Manchester. I had Nihari with Naan and some Halwa with it. It was awesome Nihari tasted so good. I also had a glass of sweet Lassi, it was good but lassi is a bit thick. Overall must recommend if u want to eat Nihari ✌🏻

Went down on Monday, very poor customer service, your staff needs training on how to speak to customers with respect! Been in many times before, but this time was very strange as I was trying to order the guy behind the till kept on Assisting on me going else where!!

Amazing food made me remember my fav in pakistan

I've been here a few times and have always found the food to be extraordinary. One thing specifically is the gentleman who serves the food is extremely well mannered and kind, and so is the gentleman on the till taking the payments. They are extremely busy over weekends in the morning and so you're better off coming early but rest assured you will get quality food and service. I wish they had a bigger place though.

I am a globe trotter. I can bet you will not have eaten tasty food like this anywhere. Please give yourself a treat. You will love it as I loved it!

Disappointed with service and food, I ordered 5 seekh kebabs and they gave me 4, charged for 5 though. When I got home and tried to eat, they were off and unfortunately we had to throw them away. Have always enjoyed their seekh kebab but will never go back

This review is as much about the food as it is about the common etiquette and the higher moral stance of the staff. The latter being very rare in an "Asian" establishment frequented by "Asians". Ordered naans and pakoras. Excellent. Cannot fault. Order value £30. A lady walked in, jumped the queue and bossed the staff to serve her as she was parked on double yellow. If you have been on Stockport Road and driven through Longsight, you know how busy that stretch of road is and parking on double yellow, even if it's for a short while is not only illegal, but causes great disruption to traffic and is an absolute nuisance and inconvenience to other road users. The staff refused to serve her out of turn and suggested she go and park appropriately like everyone else. It is people like these who bring us all a bad name and top marks to the staff for taking the moral high ground and being fair to every other customer in the store. Hopefully, the lady would have learnt something today. That by causing an inconvenience to others (irrespective of race or religion), is not only against the basic teachings of Islam, but is also akin to theft. She was forcefully robbing others of their space in the que. On a separate note, the space inside the shop is small and tends to get overcrowded. Perhaps the seating area downstairs should be reduced or removed. It's hard to actually sit there and enjoy a meal in peace with people squeezing past you and it's also very uncomfortable having to stand there waiting for service with people constantly squeezing past, given the tight space. Not having a menu displayed or the prices listed is a bit odd. Unless one is a regular, it's difficult to gauge what they have available unless it's on display.

No queuing system and no price list. The counter is piled high with mithai so you can't see the assistants who are serving, you can't see the mithai being placed in boxes nor do they give u an itemised bill. I have been overcharged twice now. Food is nice but service is important and they lack in this dept.

Best mithai ever! My family come here every single Eid for our mithai to give to families. Nowhere else beats it! Service and staff members are so lovely and kind. I have also tried the breakfast and brunch - highly recommend the haleem + channa and puri.

We ordered halwa puri with chana for 5 people, they served us puris and halwa, chana in 2 plates for 5 people. Very disgusting and tiny shop not clean. 1st time and last time my visit there never go there again.

Do you call this bland egg bhurji Haleem? If this wasn’t food I would have used the same words that came in my mind but nonetheless please please dont waste your time coming here. Asked the server to return this so called ‘Haleem’ even without tasting it because we saw how it looked like and could imagine the taste and he said sorry cant do it even though he just microwaved it and we had to do takeaway. This thing allegedly called ‘Haleem’ looks like a gravy masala made for some dish. If anyone is deciding to try out Nafees please take your money somewhere else. What a pathetic came from the different city to explore Manchester breakfast, easy to say have had a worst experience at this place. These people don’t know what haleem is, naan was also not cooked in tandoor. Staff was rude as well, discriminated men with girls, serve salad etc things to girls table and didn’t serve us any of this. Come on have some respect for the asian food.

Really disappointed Went for breakfast not mitha so review is based on food only most food was in boxes but what was a real let down was the customer service person his name was Khuram such a rude arrogant person asked for keema paratha and he gave chicken when I told them wrong item rather then change it apologise he said that’s chin keema and they only do chicken keema and that I will have to pay . I said to him keema is a red meat dish and not to insult my intelligence. He talked down to us which really annoyed me.

No doubt it is the only traditional pakistani/punjabi place to eat breakfast and Nihari I have not tasted channa/puri in Manchester although been to dozen of places time and again They need to make more space to dine in...

It's a shame that there are such few seats so we had to queue for around 20 minutes on a Saturday morning, but, it was worth it. Visiting from London we were looking for tasty and high quality Pakistani breakfast, which the North does far better than the South and we were not disappointed. The nihari was just melt in the mouth and full of depth. The chole puri was very delicious too. We were too stuffed to fully appreciate the halwa but it was good. The desi tea was also spot on. All in all a great experience and would happily recommend. We paid £15 for two people and ate to our full.

ordered nihari and halwa puri. what else is there to say but exquisite especially with fresh naan being served. Very heavy and oily but expected. Little cramped as limited table available for seating but definitely a great place for breakfast.

Ras Malai: What a waste of money. It used to be very good but now its just very sub standard. 2 portions bought & 1 was hard to finish. Seems like the water contamination is far higher than standard milk off any shop which has more texture than this. Wish I knew before wasting my money there and should have gone elsewhere. Plus the taste not even close to the lowest of standards..

Visited Nafees today to pick breakfast. They took the money and made me wait for about 25 min. Other customers who came after me (about 4) they were served before me. How bad is this in terms of customer service. When questioned, every time I was told that the cook is making. When handing the order to me, I expressed my concern but I got just plane “sorry”. I ordered potato paratha. When came home and opened the pack, the state of the food was bad. There was barely any potato in it and was wafer thin. The stuffing inserted was of samosas and not for paratha. Such a bad experience. Never gonna go there again.

Hi , Arrogant behaviour with customers miss guide about price.I came from London bought mix sweets for my friend they told 13 £ per kG for mix sweet I bought 3 kG charged me 45£ instead 39£ .I don’t understand.totally dissatisfied by behaviour of staff.

We drove from North Wales to have breakfast from Nafees, well worth it. Food quality was excellent and service was great too. Seating arrangements need to improve.

A very good place to try Desi sweets and snacks. I like there Suji halwa and gajar ka halwa.

Went I asked about an item in Urdu in a respectable manner.staff was so rude. Was telling me that other nafees has got nothing to do with them.There’s a way to say it, telling me infront of 10 people they opened 40 years ago them lot opened now etc. wont get insulted by illiterate people for basics.

One of the worst sweets. Most of the sweets are made of artificial ingredients and dry milk powder.

£6 just for omlete, are you serious? Food is good but seating arrrangement is very bad and congested and its well overpriced. I had similar breakfast from many desi restaurants in London and Manchester at half of the price.

I am from Karachi and we are very fussy about our halwa puri. Let's say this: Nafees takes me back home everytime I go there for breakfast. Hands down the best Pakistani Breakfast in the North West. They got other items like nihari, paaye and aloo paratha which has levels, unmatched. One has to try Nafees to be able to understand the level of expertise they put in their food. 😁

Halva Poori and paratha are nice, but happy with the customer service and space / atmosphere. Recommend for take out, but not for dining in.

Bad customer service, rude staff no manners what's so ever and also i had a sweets from here today and it didn't taste right at all I'm not going there again.

Staff don't listen to order properly, we told them to give us naan 3 times but they gave us kulche and we told them specially the 2nd and 3rd time but still decided to give us kulche. But staff was good.

The chanay in the puri halwa are on another level. When you Dine in the puris are like a blown up balloon. Chai also was very good. Lots of lovely food .if only seating would be good this place would be a 10/10. Due to seating I would rate it 8. Highly recommended if you are not dinning in.
