Atmosphere was great,food was hot and delicious, staff were friendly

Was here recently at lunchtime lovely food staff atmosphere so thought we would go again and try breakfast Totally different experience Breakfast comprised of cheap ingredients and who puts butter portions on a warm plate One of mine was actually under a fried egg!!!

Visited tonight with family, sat down at table and looked at food menus. Plenty tables available and not busy at all. Went to bar to order food and told would not be taking food orders for another half hour saying the kitchen was too busy. This was 7pm. Not impressed and wonder how they would cope when they were actually busy. Initially was going to wait but decided to go elsewhere. Don’t know if this was laziness or understaffing.

Food was lovely, service was quick and really liked the place.

Food was absolutely shocking! First lot of toasties that came out could have broke something they were that hard. Then my daughter had a rather long hair in her chicken and bacon club. The first member of staff who was approached pretty much called my daughter a liar and said there was no way it could have came from the kitchen. I then went an questioned it and one of the kitchen staff was advised to tuck his rather long hair into hair hair net properly. Two of the staff members were excellent but everything else was a let down. Wouldn't recommend and won't be back.

Was in for lunch today . Very disappointing to say the least . First of all I had a toastie which I could not eat because it was cooked solid. I passed this on to a staff member . My friend asked a waitress for another drink and we are still waiting for it .. Her son had ordered a pudding which we had to ask the staff several times for . Finally after asking about 3 times he got his pudding. Service was shocking. Very disappointing.

Best bar in the area and best food as well.

I had the spice of the world and my wife Kitsu chicken which both were fantastic. For drinks it was Tennants lager and a large Pino wine. I had a voucher for 50% off the total bill ,which you can't use on the app but the wonderful waitress (Amanda) explained it all to me. Only a 3 star for atmosphere because it was late afternoon and was pretty empty. Good bar,plenty of tvs to watch sport in both bar and lounge.

Food service was terrible.food missing/not cooked properly missing toast to burnt eggs. You have the kitchen manager working and still can't get the food out properly. Gave high praises this morning to then come in and get presented this shocking.

Nice enough place decent prices,bar staff can be a bit scarce trying g to serve 2 bars but the bit that let's it down is the outside seating can take ages to clear tables but worst it needs a good clean cig ends all over the ground /tables and no ash trays at tables otherwise a good place

Amazing place, food is unreal, service first class & staff are very friendly. I have djed here a few times now, every event I have done here the atmosphere has been excellent 🙌🙌

Every time I go to Scotland and I'm in Aberdeen, I stop by there. You eat well and good atmosphere.

This is a very good restaurant. We really appreciate your various dishes, especially the grilled chicken wings as an appetizer, which are very delicious. It's just that the appetizer and the garlic buns as a side dish taste a little bland.

Came into murdos for meal with my partner today. The chicken queen sub was to die for, it was cooked to perfection. The small plates… great selection. Fabulous chilli bites and chicken wings.. WOW! Waitress today, morgan who served us did a great job. Not only was she serving our dinner and giving great customer service, but at the same time was smiling and serving customers at the bar. She told us about the MIXR app, and this was a great addition as we were able to redeem some free drinks! Left feeling full and satisfied, I will be back and we will be telling our friends and family to come to murdos!

Came in at 5pm ordered meals at 5 past , it’s 19:15 and we’re still waiting , half the party ate starters an hour ago , total shambles, staff said they can only apologise , not good enough , will update post later , losing appetite!

I really love coming here. Staff are friendly, Food is remarkably good and love the deals. The fish platter is brilliant and so is the burgers. Our kids loved the chicken burgers. Drinks were great and fairly cheap. Great stuff Murdos. Top notch

Was in on Thursday to have food and had the Balmoral chicken and it was amazing, my wife was very impressed with It our server Alison was very nice and talk us through the menu and gave us a great recommendation on our meal. Highly recommended Murdos

Friday 16/Feb/24-@10pm,ordered my pint & casually just commented of how quite,but Karaoke is on?Oh yes she said. Only to be told by Karaoke DJ,no its no Karaoke tonight,technical error !

Went to murdos to watch the euros final and wasn’t disappointed. Fantastic atmosphere, used the app and drinks were served quickly. Staff are very friendly and chatty especially Allie , Rob and Jade.

Attended a meet up with friends tribute band was on "oasis" band was good however couldn't hear a thing but them. Great commuity spirt enjoying themselves looks like there's a few bars within Murdos- can be very busy at times staff clearly doing there best during busy festive times, well done !

Whet in for a few drinks but ended up having food as-well which was absolutely amazing, we had the 5 plank for starters which was brilliant and great price, we also had the haddock and chips which were cooked to perfection and the fish was huge. The staff in murdos were kind and helpful with us a went threw the food menu with us so we would know what we liked, nice bunch in there we were served by allie and Amanda and food was taken to us by David Would definitely recommend murdos for the food and atmosphere but would advise to book as they are always busy

When we arrived we were directed to a beautifully decorated table with party hats and Christmas crackers supplied. There were 15 people in our group and every single person was delighted with, what can only be described as "the best Christmas lunch we've had in a very long time" and at "a very reasonable price!" Every single plate was presented beautifully, and tasted like a 'good plate of food' SHOULD taste. (I don't usually eat sprouts but they were so tasty that I ate 3!) The portions were generous without being over flowing. The service was completely faultless. Alison (the lady who served all of us), was polite, engaging, understanding, calm and patient. She was so lovely. A definite asset to the establishment. Murdos could certainly show some of the bigger establishments a thing or two! Thank you Murdos. We will be booking again for next year! Merry Christmas.

This was our first time here having been invited by friends to come see two lads who sing nothing but motown music, the tickets were very very reasonable and the food was good pub grub. The highlight of the evening was indeed the motown music and we would love to see these two lads again, they were just brilliant. Murdos is a bar and lounge with good easy parking and drinks are sold at a very competitive price, it is not easy for us to visit on a regular due to where we live, but if given the chance would always come back .

Quality of food for the price is okay.

Went in past with work mates for few pints. Was great atmosphere and pints were poured to perfection. Barmaid shannon was great crack and made it a great night. 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Usually a really nice place with lovely food. Unfortunately not this time. I had a fish finger sub. The sub roll was stale with 2 fish fingers in it. Chips were awful. My daughter asked for an all day breakfast and was told there is no all day breakfast at the moment. This was at 1pm. The only redeeming feature of this visit were the staff. Friendly prompt and apologetic. Great staff. Terrible food on this occasion.

Was in for food on Sunday for my sons birthday and it was amazing, my daughter is a picky eater and she cleaned her plate which is a massive thumbs up from me I was served by Shannon who was absolutely fantastic and so friendly and polite, the Ryder cup was on and the atmosphere was brilliant. Will definitely be back and I would 100% recommend for families. Keep doing what your doing murdos your amazing ☺️

Good pub food and staff were lovely with the kids I brought. Traditional haggis was very tasty, portions were large.

Went in yesterday at tea time,two ladies behind bar doing their best to serve I both lounge and bar. After 5 minutes waiteventually got served with no apology for waiting.Large clock behind bar showed I next went home for seco d pint at 5.47.Two lassies always serving in lounge,one came through for a drink for someone in the lounge and said she would be 2 seconds to a couple next to me,That was 6.01,still no-one came through by 6.06.Lots of waiting customers a dirty glasses all over bar. The over worked lassies needed an extra vody to help them but at this rate of service new customers like me and regulars will turn away

Nice to sit outside and have a few pints, or watch the sports in the bar. Friendly nicely presented pub.

The food was tasty and well-cooked. I had Mac-cheese with chips. The atmosphere today in the bar was electrifying as some guests were watching a football match between Celtic and Rangers. It is fortunate for Celtic today as they beat Rangers one goal to nothing.

Wasn't the best I've had there, all day breakfast not nice.

Excellent atmosphere on every occasion great banter with the bar staff and even with all the auld lads... Food is great and get cracking deals every day of the week mostly them.all coming with a drink and a cracking price... Many tvs to choose to watch the footy or darts or whatever ur sport is.. Would highly recommend murdos bar for a social drink or even for your weekend entertainment Murdos is my 1st choice Keep up the good work 👏

Was in Murdos today as a local of many years I wasn’t happy with service today new staff lazy to ask kitchen for sauce I asked for after explaining my son is disabled and only eats certain things , Terri is the only one that seems to know what she’s doing in there or very helpful willing to bend over backwards for you :)

My daughter and myself went there tonight at 5.45pm. I ordered 2 meals and drinks. My daughters meal arrived but not mine bearing in mind we both ordered the same. I went and asked where my meal was, I was then accused of shouting which I wasn't, you would definitely know if I was shouting. He told me the kitchen was backed up. too which I replied if two meals were ordered at the same time you expect them to come together to eat together. I was told my meal would be 2 mins. My daughter had finished hers and my meal still hadn't appeared. At 6.50 I asked for a refund which I got for my meal. No apology I said was I forgotten about as everyone else had been that had ordered after me had been served. His reply was aye ok. Not impressed 😕

Excellent place to eat drink and relax or watch a bit of sport

Great pub with a great food menu , well priced and always tasty. Great bar staff especially Ali who always goes out of her way to ensure you have a great night. Lots of screens to watch the football. No need to say anymore go and try it out you won’t be disappointed.

Always a friendly, welcoming environment. Foods tasty, beers tasty, service is normally speedy. Thoroughly enjoy a weeknight supper at murdos.

Food was amazing as usual! Good sized portions and great value for money..popped in for lunch on Friday with some friends we were served by Terri who was lovely, very friendly and polite.

Murdos is a super friendly and fun pub! The staff are amazing, so friendly and attentive they really made our visit. The caters for everything, the food is brilliant, there’s plenty of TVs for all the live sport, darts & pool and live music and discos at the weekend. We will definitely be back soon for more delicious food and great entertainment.

Really nice ‘local’. Rachel, working her socks off in the bar, was top notch. Congratulations to her on keeping a very busy bar happy on her lonesome. Impressed by the pint glasses being kept in a fridge to ensure cold lager - never seen this in a bar such as this. All in all, very well done Murdos.

Great atmosphere really good staff and food was excellent with a superb pint

It was a very busy night when we were in. Although there was a bit of a wait for our food, which was only to be expected, we were kept informed of the progress regularly. The food arrived hot and with very generous portions. Clean plates all round and with no room for desert...apart from the kids! Great value for money! The staff were welcoming and friendly, even though they were rushed off feet. We will definitely be back.

This has now turned into one of the worst bars in Aberdeen Selling so called cocktails at £10 per non cocktail glasses Food was disgusting As it was cold Sticky Toffee was a sponge with toffee dressing Was a regular at this bar I will never cross its doors again My advice Give a wide berth It's garbage

Best atmosphere in Aberdeen locals are friendly the food is 5 star are the bar staff are all fantastic hard working friendly. And live music is excellent. Not lot more to say except try and see for yourself

Was in over the festive period and this place is amazing, not only is the staff great and welcoming,the atmosphere was electric, Allie and Amanda are brilliant.

The food was really good and it was quick, the bar staff were polite and the pint was perfect

Very slow service at the bar but meals arrived reasonably quick. Gammon was good but a bit greasy and could have been done with a steak knife rather than normal knife as it was harder to cut. All day breakfast was good value for money but bacon was only fit for soling your shoe! Chicken Korma was excellent. Now to the Festive burger, well what can I say...a bigger let down than a flat tyre on a cold frosty morning. Two small burgers which had been shown the burger sauce and the cheese on a very dry bun, The Pig in blanket was okay, even though it was just a mouthful and the cranberry sauce(once we got it after having to ask the server again for it) was fine, it included a handful of chips and they forgot the streaky bacon on top. This is priced at £9.49 and is a total total rip off. We did point all this out to our server and was tol.."I'll let them know".....we gave up and left after waiting 15 minutes for a response. All in all the food was good with the obvious exception of the Festive Burger(Avoid it at all costs!!) and you do get a brilliant pint of Tenants!!!....

Was a lovely birthday celebration for 2 close friends 2nd year in a row we've been there and loved both times.

Went in for a quick lunch, It ticked all the boxes I had small plate chicken strips side of chips, hubby had gammon steak egg n chips, grandson had Balmoral chicken we didn't have to wait long pleasant waitress and bar staff compliments to chef would go again.

Went for supper tonight,had fish & chips,was absolutely disgusting,was obviously frozen fish as it was like the fish you get from the freezer shop,and it was slimy in the middle,it barely filled half the plate, so they filled the plate with extra chips to make it look more,I’ve been at a weekend for supper and the fish was lovely ,they obviously feed you anything midweek.

Fab day in murdos for lunch with girls, food was fab. Mac n cheese and waffle fries, yummy Katsu chicken great and fish n chips fine. Sat for over 4hrs yapping, place was full of groups having lunch when we arrived and filling up again for evening meals when we left. Great

A fantastic pub with an amazing team. The food was terrific and Faye is a gem looking after us all day. The atmosphere was great and look forward to returning very soon!
