I went into M and S for a tea and bit of Brunch there was a queue on entry, it was 1in 1 out, I ordered a toasted sandwich and tea. Tea was in a paper cup and sandwich was served in a paper bag, no plate and disposable cutlery, the food and drink was nice quite expensive, considering the way it was served, Won’t be going again not M and S normal high standard

First and last visit to this pathetic cafe. Staff had a couldn't care less attitude. Nobody wiped any of the tables when they were vacated. We asked for a mocca which was cold and tasteless and in a cardboard cup. Tea bag floated in a cardboard cup which again was certainly not hot. We asked for a sausage roll and a Danish pastry. The sausage roll was stone cold. Both came in paper bags which we used as plates as no plates were provided. No serviettes either. All cutlery was wooden. Absolutely unbelievable, total lack of hygiene, health and safety. Should be closed down

Food sanitary issue in the Cafe! As I was grabbing for a sausage roll for my toddler at the cafe, I saw flies landing on the pastries and thus pointed out to the staff. This lady serving at the cafe took a very arrogant attitude and I was even shocked when she said the flies were around all day around landing on the bakeries and she said that was absolutely normal?! While I don’t think that is normal …I am concerned with the food safety there for my baby and walked away without buying. Can anybody let me know if food is absolutely normal with flies landing around all day?! Is this M&S standard?

Don’t understand the negative reviews, brilliant little pit stop for coffee and quick breakfast. Lovely little cafe and friendly staff

Our first time here as not local & didn't know M&S had moved. Cafe is far too small, choice of food very limited & served in a bag .as if taking out even if eating in. Not pleasant to have to eat so close to the toilets. Hope this is not a sign of things to come for all M & S cafes. We will go somewhere else next time we are in Liverpool .

Drinks and food delicious as you would expect from an M&S, but obviously comes with the price tag however we didn’t mind as we know what the quality of food is like. Cozy little spot situated in Liverpool ONE and accompanying a huge 2 floor M&S with all of the amenities!

Place too small nowhere to sit... Ordered a sandwich which wasn't cut in half, the mozzarella, tomato and pesto, it just fell apart when trying to eat.. Given no napkins.... Staff were ok... Don't think I'll be going there again... 🤔

Don’t bother. Dirty, impossible to get a seat and if you do, the queue for the only toilet snakes past you. My friends and I now meet at John Lewis instead, and that’s where we make our impulse buys.

Pokey little cafe with not enough space for all the people buying food. Not enough staff to serve and clean the tables. It would be less galling if they were not charging top dollar but they are. Avoid.

Today Im going to one of the lowest rated Coffee Shops in my area and leaving a positive review. The only rule? I can't lie... Currently rated 1.5 out of 5, This place has never had a 5 star review! Could today be the day? Lets find out. The Bright and Bold sign made it easy for me to locate the M&S Coffee Shop - Thats a star! I ordered and found myself a table, My bacon bun looked like someone sat on it but the taste redeemed itself - Thats a star! I enjoyed my Mocha wasnt a big fan of the paper lid but I appreciate M&S being the first national retailer to go plastic free - Thats a star! Customers have complained about the size of the coffee shop but I think the layout brings a cozy atmposphere and a good amount of space between tables. 5 stars

Liverpool One Store. Visited 8th January at 3pm. Very disappointed in the cafe. Hardly any tables and the queue for the one toilet in the entire store going past my table. It made me feel uncomfortable. Why only one toilet in the entire store? Coffee served in paper cups and tables were dirty. Only one member of staff in the cafe. Lots of people complaining. The old store was so much better. Won't be coming back.

If I could give the cafe zero stars I would.. A small cafe not fit for purpose with people queuing for the toilets in the cafe...

Just visiting coffee shop cafe in M&S South John Street Liverpool, if you buy something like a Steak slice please be aware if it's cooled to basically cold they won't be able to warm it up again, so I'm a bit confused as to why they can't tell you they're cold before they charge you for it, terribly service and the answer I got was just, "once it's cold it's cold we can't warm them up again" without any concern or apology of any type, I know this will be explained as a Health and Safety reason, but people should told before they are charged, its simply good manners and good service, buck up M&S.

Too small, not much choice, not enough tables, queue for toilet went out of cafe, had to eat food and drink coffee standing up by condiment stand, tables not being cleared . Always ate in Marks when in town, never again, should have stayed in old store , better layout. Whoever designed layout of all the new store must be laughing all the way to the bank . Seems we weren’t the only people in there today who didn’t like it . Going to lose a lot of custom. Won’t be back .

M&S going for the 'coffee on the go' vibe and it doesn't work. Not enough space or seats, people hovering around waiting for you to vacate your seat etc. I'm not a particularly fussy person, but the coffee was truly awful. Both of us threw it away after drinking less than half (and in disposable cups as well?) . This view was shared by the lady on the next table also, so not just us. The only positive was the friendly and helpful staff, doing their best to accommodate waiting customers. A very disappointing experience.

Would have got five stars but only one toilet in the cafe they direct you to liverpool one or Lewis’s not good enough m and s I know there is no obligation but they should have seen past that for their customers

So disappointed in the new cafe. Me and a friend spent money in the shop, spent money in the cafe, and were shocked at the lack of facilities. One loo for the whole shop. - People were queueing for ages to go to the loo with the queue building up where people were trying to enjoy their drinks/food. If you were lucky to find a table to sit at. Half the size of Greggs cafe in Primark and they have three loos! Everyone was saying the same thing- too small, disgraceful, inadequate, poor odd man in queue looked embarassed, no plates for your cake, whose idea was this? There were good coffees and cakes but no ambiance to eat them in. Come on M&S why? A dreadful choice to downgrade the cafe.😢

Tried the cafe in the new M and S in Liverpool One today and it is truly awful! Tiny ,cramped, grubby space with hardly any seating. Paper cups. Overpriced pasties and sandwiches. No one cleared or wiped tables the whole time we were there, although there were plenty of staff on. The queue for the toilets overflowing into the already limited cafe space. It was a really unpleasant experience. Whoever designed this and thought it would be ok needs to come in and see for themselves how bad it is. It is substandard and overpriced, just nasty. The M and S customers of Liverpool deserve better. I won't be back. There are plenty of nicer, better cafes in the vicinity. Avoid.

I am absolutely appalled at the management team within Hunts Cross McDonald’s, the way staff speak to customers and employees is disgusting. Managers very much look down on other employees when working, and often don’t treat them with the deserved respect. The owner should really consider looking into this.

Food was extremely late which meant it was cold, chewy and disgusting. The food was very poorly packaged. Definitely would not recommend!

As I work not far from this branch, my children asked if I could get them a meal on the way home, so I ordered the party bucket meal. I had to wait about 10 minutes for it, and once I received my order, I went home. I opened the bucket and was presented with 14 pieces of overcooked chicken that were soft, not even crispy, and swimming in oil, they were so hot. We ate the smaller pieces, but the larger ones were uneditable to eat as I hate oil like that on my food. It's like the chicken had been refried it was the most degusting chicken I have every see. So took the bucket back the next day and was only give 6 pieces back. I'm never getting food from here again. PLEASE CHECK FOOD BEFORE YOU LEAVE. Should have taken a pic when I opened it, but the chicken was over cooked and full of oil.
