Mr. Chans in Islington

Ordered Hot and Sour soup, Special Fried Rice & Chicken Curry. Soup was very watery and was in a small container, tasted okay but was nothing more than water and a few vegetables. Curry was again very watery and contained a few bits of strange looking chicken and soft black mushrooms, just about edible. Rice was a big portion and was fine, had strange looking bits of beef but tasted fine and was large enough for two. All in all a bang average meal, just about edible but nothing special. 4/10

Greasy and oily, satay chicken tough, no beef in the beef chili it was just batter

The driver was great The app told him a different address and he did kindly pick up my messages and delivered it to me at the right address

Initial delivery time was 8:15 and kept getting pushed back til almost 9 although was quoted at 20 mins. App showed driver at restaurant for more than 20 mins before leaving

Great food at reasonable price.

The food was not what I was expecting. The fried rice was white with no colour (as per the picture) and the starter was very well done. The satay chicken was overcooked and dry as was the wonton. Very disappointing considering this was a 4.2 rating.

Unfortunately the curry sauce was just water ruined my meal

Really disappointed chicken was hard dry overcooked peanut sauce was awful dark brown inedible looked like was gravey jelly with couple peanuts trown in chips were definately yesterdays prawn wonton were soggy not happy at all with order.

Chicken was chicken thigh with really chewy and stringy texture. Wrong rice Curry sauce had spilled absolutely everywhere. Sent photo. Clear lack of care.

my egg fried rice came half empty , sauce spilt everywhere

Food was ok but wouldn’t order again I don’t think. Too much red onion for my preference and the prawn chop suey hardly had any Beansprouts or prawns for £10.50. At £30 no free prawn crackers either was a shame. But food had a nice taste so might work for someone else

Im a chinese lover and this has been the worst iv had i order a chicken chow mein special chow mein and singpore fried rice and all the food tubes where not filled and the food was dry cold and no taste all veg hardly no noodles or meat, disgusting

This is the worst Chinese restaurant in the area. We keep accidentally ordering from here and it's let us down every time. The prawn toast is stale and has barely any prawn on it. The squid is tough and chewy. The chow mein is dry. The sweet n sour chicken is passable but not delicious.. nothing seems very fresh. Won't be ordering again.

Always good food. A little disappointed in the king prawn in satay sauce. The sauce was watery and had no peanut flavour tasted like hot sauce with prawns. The prawns were great though.

poor service. ordered vegetarian food. had meat in it. portions were tiny. there's better Chinese takeaways out there for less money.

Food wasn’t to the standard it is usually at. My Singapore rice came as if it was vegetable rice it had hardly any meat in and my Singapore noodles was hardly half full in its container as well as that consisting mostly of vegetables.

The proportions were veeery ridiculous for the price. For example, 3 won ton for almost £7 only 3 small pieces!!!, the king prawns were 6 and the rest was veg. It's a shame that the taste quality is good but I definitely won't order from this establishment anymore. My stars are earned by the flavor and that's it.

Ordered my food at 17.40 but delivery was delayed twice! My food arrived at 19.03, food was in a thin white plastic bag , wedged between drivers thighs ! Needless to say food was cold / damp.

I called after my delivery was an hour late and when I called the restaraunt I got a very rude person who said I did kot answer the phone, when I said it had not rung he argued with me and I told him I don't want the order now and them 10 mins later a delivery driver camw with the food which I threw in the bin as it was Stone cold
