Moustache Bar Dalston in Hackney

Place to be on weekend, good vibe and best part is the management and the service and also the music is 10/10.

Excellent spot for enjoying a drink with nice music !The team is also awesome and there for you any time !

My son & I hired this place for his 30th birthday party and they did not tell us a few things, first that they were going to have a live act hence we could not get into the space early to set up the balloons and decorations. Then we were told that our whole event could finish at 3am but on the night the security guard shut the music off at 2am and kicked us out. I would not recommend this place for any event hire. What was worse we could not get a hold of the manager/own to clarify to the security staff that he had given us the place until 3am... Additionally, we gave a deposit of £100 which was to be returned but that did not happen either. Therefore, I was not impressed at all...

Cute venue for new live acts! Drinks very reasonably priced too.

I didn't get any food or drink from the place as I wasn't hungry nor thirsty the bar staff were very efficient in keeping the place clean one of the performers made a bit of a mess but the artist as well as a member of staff quickly got up to clean the mess the atmosphere was very good it was a series of artists one of them being my friends sister but it seemed really nice atmosphere very fun :)

It is so rare these days to find a genuine, authentic environment, family run with friendly, hearty staff that cares. The staff was so warm, nothing was too complicated and the environment very cosy, I had my 30th birthday party, really recommended this Bar.

An interesting, small downstairs venue featuring a small stage and sound booth! The stage is awkwardly located right next to the toilet with a bar and cloak room at the back of the room The seats and stool seemed a little chaotically placed but attended an event with some great artists performing

Small underground club, decent prices on the bar for London. Was open till 2am and good links to get home

No food served, it's a bar/ nightclub, good atmosphere and great bar service. Nice initmate setting 👌

Visit this place last week good music , but very racist people are not friendly, was a shame this place is not for everyone and the people make you feel like you don't belong their .. was a shame ..

We got tickets for free before 12am on Saturday and it was completely dead. We ordered a shot and walked straight out. I'm not sure if it's always like this but I won't try my luck again.

Went there to watch new up coming musicians and had a very nice time

They oversold this place on the flyer. It's more like an underground bar within a tiny space. There were no cocktails and not the glam that's promised. Their dress code policy is non existent. Don't know why they bother advertising it. Was disappointed with this place.

Had great fun at a birthday bash, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The sound engineer was really helpful to our band and gave us a good sound set up.

We were a group of 75 people (students and lecturers) looking for a space to hold our end of term party. Azem and his team could not have done more to help us. All my questions were answered in a very timely manner when we were planning the event and Azem was totally accommodating. We had external caterers provide food and Azem was extremely helpful in helping them set up. Whatever we needed he could provide. We had a band for live music and the set up was great for that, which then turned into a dance floor with a DJ and we could use the decks as well. There was only a £150 holding fee if we spent £700 at the bar which we hit no problem, so therefore the venue hire was free. Unbelievable price for London and Azem's hospitality was incredible I really cannot speak higher of this venue and the service. I would highly recommend for any event! Drinks were cheap, it was a safe space, exclusively just for us - Thank you so much Moustache Bar we had an incredible evening!

Small, Lovely underground location in the heart of The venue but it's understandable considering the size. I Attended a couple of weeks ago for the first time to support a friend who was performing and the cocktails were too damn scrumptious. Might just pop in again for those tasty beverages. ☺️

Really great cosy space, been here on a weekday for spontaneous dancing and clubbing. I've also attended a paying event, lots of great talent and a fab space for dancing and live music.

Went to an Underground Sounds events here. Really good little venue with some great performers and nice vibe. Only thing that could be improved would be to have some security that tell noisy guests to be quiet or leave whilst acts are performing as it ruins it for everyone else.

Absolutely lovely little venue! You may be mislead to where it is, but its at 58 Stoke Newington Road. Coming into the bar it was a lovely intimate size. The evening of music I went to was filled with talented indie artists. Will come again!

Came to a live music night here tonight really nice place, great music and really nice staff. Everyone went out of there way to make sure we all felt safe and covid mesures where really well done here. Thanks for a really good night guys, it was my first night out since the pandemic begin and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Well done

Don't know who is running the facebook page here, or there email handle, but there customer service is atrocious can blatantly see someone read my message on facebook messenger, tried to get in contact with regards to a ticket I purchased and didn't receive a confirmation email with my ticket from a past event. Learn to respond to individuals when they get in contact, full lack of professional skills, fix up!

Nice venue located near Dalston Junction/ Dalston Kingsland. A very quaint place, where beverages are served with an accompanying vibe and setting. The place is quite small, and in the current situation cannot be truly enjoyed because of distancing, but if there is a small turnout people should be unaffected.

Me and my friends booked for Nye (paying 15£) got there after 00:00 and the "club" was empty... only the staff and the dj... they didn't even give us the money back. worst club/bar I ever been too.

Great basement for venue hire in Dalston did a few parties Azema and Claudia are great and have really turned this place around.they have different events every weekend so it never gets borning. Well done for turning this place around guys see you soon. Oh and the only place in London with friendly security.... staff are also very pleasant

Great intimate Basement one of the only ones left in Dalston that do venue hire. Management and staff are great and the sound system is perfect..... perfect location on the high street and well priced drinks.

Had my 25th birthday party here..must say the evening was great the lady an staff were fantastic nothing was too much from them helping me with food an doing all the decorations to serving at the bar..the atmosphere was great staff always smiling an chatty...will definitely be back soon..even the dj company they recommend were brilliant a definate 10 outta 10 from me...thankyou an all for a great night an fab memories

Bit of an institution. Less grimey than it used to be. Bathrooms are .... An experience ... But crowd is always friendly. Usually a 5er to get in so bring cash

Scuzzy basement venue of the old school.

Was ok bar . Went went over a friend playing that night but the club itself was dead . Like from the outside if you don't know that there is a club in the basement nobady will never walk in .the toilet awful. Drinks at reasonable prices .

Great staff. Always feels like a good atmosphere as it's quite a small space. Sound quality for live bands is okay for the size. Not a great selection of beers and non on draught.

I will never come back. Dirty underground bar,with bad dj's and small floor. Not enjoyable.

Summer in Dalston is hard because pretty much every bar is underground. I imagine Moustache Bar is always pretty warm, but when I visited it was the clubbing equivalent to Bikram yoga! The crowd wasn't particularly friendly which is unusual considering the area, and the bar is small. Also, the old Western style swing doors that separate the men's toilet from the ladies' queue can stick open - you have been warned!
