Stayed over for business. Bed rooms are old and carpets worn in some areas. Beds are hard…very hard! Gym pretty non existent, tiny and old bits of kit Lifts are a real pain and once you have stayed a few times you’ll get to grips with the two lifts and no stairs! Staff are friendly but the bar is expensive … be prepared! As is the food which is average!

The meal was very poor. The steak was fatty, the peppercorn sauce was watery. The dessert was poor no compote and tasteless cheesecake. Not the standard I would expect. I called to inform them as it was not appropriate at the time as I was on a date. For £93 I would of expected the general manager to offer some form of compensation.

I really hope someone who can make changes can see this . The service here use to be amazing It’s now poor Waited for 5-10 to be seated Ordered starters , not what was on the menu description Ordered drinks that never came and we had to leave the table to get them Steak £23 but not good Went to get a drink , the girl at the bar was on her phone, she looked at me and went back to her phone Short on cocktails glasses Beer not good Lots of staff working but chatting behind the blue wall - note we can see you in the restaurant Spent over £200 Won’t be back Very sad was was a great place

Would have given a much better rating as the food that we received was tasty but we had to keep asking standing up . the staff are more interested in standing and talking in a group. Whilst food arrived in good time my daughter asked for rare steak ended up with well-done :( nobody came to ask if anything was ok we had to go find salt . No one asked if we wanted desert ? We did go ask if hot chocolate and old Fashioned could be served in lounge as no service . we were offered a refund but as the dog was going to have the steak we only took the chocolate which was un drinkable and dogs food binned ! Really such a shame

We decided to stay here again as we had such experience last week. Again staff were so friendly, welcoming and so helpful. They even found a corkscrew for us as we had brought a bottle of wine with us and not realised it was a cork. Another beautiful room and so appreciated the aircon. Would recommend this hotel to everyone

I had the best meal and best service during a work trip. Didn't even realise this place was here. Me and 8 other colleagues went for lunch to say goodbye to someone who was leaving the business. FIRST IMPRESSIONS - We were very pleasantly surprised when we walked through the door to see a beautiful bar and grill buzzing with a great atmosphere.... being completely honest, I immediately felt underdressed in my casual clothes because of how well this place came across. PRICE/QUALITY - I half expected the price of the food to match my first impressions... I was ready to pay 5 star resturant prices. but wow was i surprised, VERY reasonably priced for the quality of food (which was brilliant!) SERVICE - Can not fault it.... we were served by Kayleigh whom met us with a very professional attitude, she very quickly changed how she interacted with us to match our mood getting involved with banter, building great rapport and making us feel welcome. A skill that I only wish every person who served me had. Kayleigh was brilliant, polite, friendly and could not do enough for us! FINAL VIEWS - Loved this place, going to take my wife who works near me for a few quick lunch breaks. I'd recommend this place for business meetings, celebrations, a quick drink, or any time you fancy quality gastro food/a great atmopshere at a very reasonable price.

Been here before during lunchtime and previously staff were uninterested and quite rude. However, on today's visit there are new staff with a lovely friendly and positive attitude. Well worth a visit, bar food is lovely.

Stayed at the hotel 2 nights, breakfast next morning was very slow and really not worth the wait. Breakfast arrived minus poached eggs ( as did many of my colleagues, some who waited 45 mins) to be told there was an issue poaching eggs..... it’s an egg in boiling water ! We all commented how poor and tasteless the food was. Rooms were fine except WiFi signal almost non existent, surely WiFi a given on a hotel with conference facilities, conference room had an even worse signal, on a positive note , the buffet lunch/evening meals in this room were good. Wouldn’t choose to stay here on a leisure trip

We visited the Mour hotel today for a Sunday lunch recommended by friends. Our group was made up of 7 adults and we had a lovely experience, we entered via the bar and grill doors and the interior was warm and inviting. It wasn’t busy at all, with probably only 5 small groups already seated so we ordered drinks at the bar on our arrival and these were regularly priced in my opinion. The seating area in both the bar and for the meal was comfy and not too cramped. The menu selection wasn’t vast with 4/5 starters, 4 mains and 4/5 desserts however this was enough to suit everyone’s taste. The prices were £15.95 for 3 courses and £13.95 for 2 courses. The waitress and waiter were tentative and the meal ordered and served at a good pace. All courses were delicious with the ingredients being of good quality and very tasty. I would highly recommend a visit so that this venue can sustain the atmosphere and quality which we experienced.

Arrived for my mothers 50th for sunday lunch . It was dead which started to ring alarm bells. But I was VERY wrong Staff were spot on. A young lady called ruth whom Welcomed us to our table and was polite all the way through service The food was spot on a bargain really I'll be deffo coming here again with the family. 10/10

Das Restaurant des Mour Hotels ist empfehlenswert. Für englische Verhältnisse (sorry für das Klischee) ist das Essen echt ok. Sowohl das Steak als auch die Pasta waren in Ordnung und schmackhaft. Die Atmosphäre ist modern und auch als Geschäftsreisender alleine am Tisch fühlt man sich wohl. Der Service ist schnell, nett und zuvorkommend. Das Preisniveau ist für ein Viersternehotelrestaurant nicht allzu teuer. Eine positive Überraschung!

With such a varied selection I was interested in how this place would be, we had the Thai cakes for starter that were good but lacked a little spice, but the main was superb - calf’s liver and cooked to perfection. All washed down with a bottle of red.

I had a really decent rib-eye steak as a main. The starter was a mediocre terrine, my dessert (sticky toffee pudding consisting of a dense tasteless sponge with a very burnt tasting toffee sauce) was really poor. Also, staff start making up tables for breakfast around 9:30pm which is a bit annoying.That said the staff were attentive and helpful.

Went with a party of 40+ people on Sunday 29th July for lunch. Service a little on the slow side but given that there were other people being served with lunch in the restaurant at the same time as ourselves, this was understandable and acceptable. The food was of a high standard and was well presented. Worth visiting.

To start with the positives...the restaurant decor is very nice and well presented...the food was absolutely stunning chef deserves full credit...now the negatives...THE STAFF absolutely rude arrogant no customer services skills whatsoever...they did not welcome us in a friendly manner nor were they attentive they couldn't even ask the basic question of is " everything ok with your food " they looked as if they didn't want to be there and as a pay customer we were putting them out....love the food but I would not go back here ever nor would I recommend it....Kevin...Megan you belong in McDonald's...I am a manager myself and I would not tolerate your attitude or work rate...yes it's easy to type a review but I also told Megan my thoughts on payment of the £165 bill utter poor service
