I think Costa coffee is a joke, way too expensive and you put it in a hospital I'm not sure it's healthy... But each to there own not much to say about this other than cooperations taking over and getting all the money for themselves while the few of us that may be thirsty or hungry or have mobility issues have not much options. I don't like Costa my review 🙂

Ordered through the app today and spoke to a member of the team and was showed where the deliveries are placed. Waited for about half an hour to find it was cancelled due to them not having one of the food bits I had ordered. I then had to wait in the queue and ended up finding the food that they told me they did not have and once I got to the till was told my order was cancelled due to no cream. I then said I had been told it was cancelled due to no food item which I had picked and was told different by different members of staff. Was left absolutely shocked and extremely unsatisfied from the customer care I had received. I've put a complaint in as this isn't the first time and have had many issues with this store including shutting early and not following previous orders. Takes awhile to even get the money back and put me in loss of money which could be used elsewhere. I have screen shots and evidence to back this up

Great coffee and food. Clean and tidy. Nice place to be when seeing family and friends who are in hospital. Only main issue is they close half of the seating area off so people get squeezed in or get asked to seek other seating where it is colder. Asked about area being open for my family as seeing a poorly family member and got told it was closed due to a manager not being there. It should be open for all not because they don't want to stay late to clean it. Certainly a let down as this isn't the first time it's happened. Lost customers

As a patient in the hospital,3 nights running at 6.45 pm I've come for a drink. 3 times in a row closed. Shutters down,no staff. Yet website states open. Until 8pm. Needs sorting ASAP. Very disappointing

Super slow. Three staff, one working making coffee. One stood right in front of me for 10 minutes occasionally wiping something, writing in a book then wiping again. Not actually trying to clean or tidy quickly. Obviously trying to avoid serving people and doing as little work as possible. Quite a few angry faces in the queue. It was obvious that serving customers was not a priority, staff doing what they want was a priority. Incredibly bad customer service. I’d say stand out bad service. I probably visit costa twice a week, I cannot think of another experience as useless. The first time I’ve actually felt like writing a review. Only positive, the girl who served me was pleasant although it took a loooooong time (not her fault.

Don't usually use costa as I think too expensive but no other choice here at weekends. Only 4 waiting to be served with 4 staff,but takes forever!!. Don't know if its normal but I don't like waiting 10min just to oder then another 3min to get overpriced drink.

By far the worst costa coffee I’ve ever been to. Staff are friendly but there is just no urgency. In a hospital environment this isn’t ideal, a lot of staff only have a short time to grab a hot drink so standing in a queue for 10-15 minutes isn’t good. I’ve never known a costa to run out of stock as much as this one! Who ever does the stock checks and ordering needs further training. It’s very disappointing on a cold day when you’re tired and need your caffeine fix to be told they don’t have the ingredients to make your favourite drink! And last but not least! They seem to open and shut when it’s suitable for them! Online it states they’re open 7-5 mon-Fri, I’ve walked through hospital to grab a drink this am at 7:20 and all the barriers are down! This is a regular occurrence and very frustrating when it’s the only place to get a hot drink!

Ran out of all there stock but no signs or stickers to let you know. Ordered something different that they recommended tasted horrible I asked to swap but they’d ran out of everything. So I asked for a refund being told I couldn’t get one had to fight for one when it’s there stock problem not mine. Extremely rude staff - need lessons in customer service and compassion particularly in the area this Costa is based. Don’t bother visiting.

I’m a huge fan of Costa usually, but there is appallingly bad management of this particular branch. I’ve visited the hospital every day for a week now and wanted to make sure it was a consistent tend before I left a review. Here’s some examples of what I saw: Staff are often all bunched up behind the counter, half of which just watching others work, while one girl making all the coffees (extremely slowly) on only one machine, the other machine sat doing nothing every day. Queues stretching into the seating area due to the extremely slow fulfilment of orders even at quiet times. This is in a hospital that still has social distance rules in place. This should be a reason to have better workflow for order fulfilment, not worse. Tables left uncleared for 30 mins plus on occasion. 2 staff look puzzled trying to put orders through and blame the till system not working (seen this on multiple days now, despite it being the exact same standard system that always works fine in every other costa). Food / sandwiches not re-stocked leaving only one choice of sandwich on the counter despite the fact it was mid-day on a busy weekday which they should schedule inventory for (I imagine this was just staff laziness and incompetence rather than a supply issue). On another day I asked for an extra take away cup to put the tea in so my Mum didn’t burn her hand while she walked to the ward - the obnoxious jobsworth behind the till told me they weren’t allowed to do this - apparently the potential of a pensioner burning her hands on a hot drink in a hospital is less important than their stock level of one extra paper cup! We have now just started going to the motorway services prior to our visit at its just easier and less stressful despite the fact it’s often busier. I would recommend an area manager for costa properly audits the performance of this particular branch, adjusts positions where required, and instils some extra work ethic in the staff that are kept. It’s my impression the staff here are too slow, untrained, lacking confidence and motivation to do a good job, and are representing the brand in a poor light. The difference between this and the Sheffield drakehouse branch is worlds apart.

My daughter ia heavily pregnant so we visited costa, It shuts at 5.30 but at 3.30 was told that half of it had to be shut off due to their not being enough staff, leaving only 4 small tables with 2 seats at each which were all full. yet one was serving and one was cleaning.. no ice cream for a cold drink on a hot day...definately will NOT visit again!

I went to costa coffee inside the hospital I have met the night shift staff they are very friendly and nice to the point they have great customer service but the morning staff today at 10:15am was rude unfriendly. All I ask was what was in the breakfast deal for £2. They said a bacon sandwich with any size cup of drinks you like so me and my other half get medium cup of tea and a latte. The price was not £2 it was £8.89 I ask the lady with the glasses on why you charged me too much when you said it be £2 she didn’t answer me just say can you hurry up and pay your holding up the line there are doctors waiting I was like omg why do you think I’m here. Avoid that lady in the morning night shift is better then that.

One star is too high a rating for Costa in kingsmill hospital. The staff are beyond slow, it's a joke. I asked for two flat whites and one was fine and the other had no coffee in it whatsoever. Next day I asked for a mocha, it was tasteless. Horrible coffee taste and no chocolate taste at all. I said to a member of staff called Molly about it, she sighed, took the lid off and said 'Well there's chocolate in it's. I insisted it wasn't right so she remade it. It was just as bad as the first time but I needed to get back to the ward and there loads of people behind me. An hour and a half later I took the drink back for a refund. This Costa is dearer then all the others just because it's in the hospital and I wasn't happy. It was Molly who had to process the refund and although she didn't say anything to me she made it quite clear she wasn't happy about it. Also that had been my third visit to them on that day, I now go to the drive thru almost opposite. The staff are superb and can never do enough for you.

I've been through the drive thru 5 or 6 times now, only once have they had any cream. Twice they didn't even mention it, and served the drink without it but charged for it. Last time I went I ordered a strawberry and cream frostino and a caramel frostino with cream. Got served a chocolate frostino and a caramel frostino, neither had cream. Pathetic. And the staff seem to have no idea what they are doing, they had to fetch the manager to refund me because they couldn't work the till.

Great snacks and drinks, a little over priced but standard Costa, you know what you're getting. In my experience though, don't expect to "pop" in. Extremely slow service, the speed of the lady making the drinks when we called in (till / payment fine) was almost comical! Had to leave half of our drinks to make an appointment, will not visit again.

Me and my partner stop off here .most Fridays after shooting range nextdoor. The staff are attentive happy and very kind and friendly and always welcome my friends and make them too feel part of the atmosphere the place is spotless toilets smell wonderfully clean although it's very busy the staff are always friendly and make sure your wait isn't too long. The Breakfast is delicious as well as lunch and very affordable they also have disabled facilities too the manager and sister are very friendly especially with my partner and the rest of the customer's looking outside in which I like very much my friends my partner always say how much they have enjoyed the day out after visiting the pub and ha ve also took their friends in the evening so yes needless to say we will be coming here for many years to come 👍
