Morrisons Glasgow - Newlands Cafe in Glasgow City

Hemos tenido los Morrisons pescado y patatas fritas bien conocidos muchas veces antes en otros Morrisons, todos buenos. Éste es pésimo. Estuvo en el mostrador por lo menos 10 minutos para un miembro del personal. Finalmente llegó uno. Pedí ensalada de acompañamiento en lugar de guisantes. Después de bastante tiempo de espera llegó la comida. ¡No hay ensalada aparentemente y tampoco quedan guisantes! Fue de risa, el café está en un supermercado! Las patatas fritas se veían y sabían como si hubieran sido cocinadas varias veces. Pescado grasiento. Horrid. Dejamos comida y no volveremos. ¿Por qué la gerencia no resuelve esto? Limpieza/personal y sobre todo la comida.

The staff member was very unhelpful, couldn’t explain what was in the menu, most of the tables were filthy and the floors were covered in tea/coffee and food

Just awful, it is changed a lot since I was last here. The main restaurant/food area is now a money exchange and food is prepared somewhere in the back. The woman before me had ordered 2 meals and was refused 2 tomato ketchup, only one per person. Not a great start. I ordered a roll and sausage. The rolls were cheap and falling apart, the 2 links tasted of cardboard, the hot water for the tea was anything but, and the assistant was totally unhelpful. No idea how customer service is supposed to work. An absolute waste of money.

Decided to try the small breakfast. It was a but weird how it was set out. Two bits of toast in a bucket. Nowhere to place it, to butter it. The breakfast itself was ok a but on the Luke warm side, would gave liked it warmer apart from that it was passable and good value for money

Food ok once you get it.Takes too long to arrive.Lucky if it’s right as some times they have not got what you ordered. Cafe under staffed and multy tasking too much.Running from pillar to post.It’s frustrating to watch must be worse for Staff,Heart breaking for us as this used to be a very good run place a few years ago.Has someone else taken over.Please read your reviews and get something done about it or you’ll go bust.People are turning away.

Have to queue ages to get a table. Menu limited. Food average to poor. Service average to poor. This is only good for a convenient bite before/after you do a shopping. Could be so much better with investment and a decent manager.

Food ok for value and quality. Service terrible, I had to wait 10 mins to be served, no one at the till. Tables always left messy.. Overall Morrisons is a good supermarket but how they justify 50p for a plastic bag is disgusting.... Many of the staff are very unhelpful too.

Visited Morrisons at Shawlands Glasgow 5.05pm 15/10/20 for some dinner. Informed on arrival that food orders stop at 5.30 and leaving of cafe is required before 6 pm. I agreed and placed my order. I waited till 5.25 and still no food so queried it with different waitress as time is running out. Plate appeared literally seconds later after I'd queried it, beans were all dried up ...like they'd been sitting for a while. I was reminded ONCE AGAIN to leave before 6. Now, I didn't dawdle, I got on with my meal, and I'm a fast eater. Was almost finished when the 1st waitress came over at 5.50 to remind me for a 3RD time about leaving before 6. Now, I know there's a 6 pm curfew but if they're not going to give customers a REASONABLE amount of time to finish without harrassing them continually, they might as well not be serving food

Nasty, burnt. Not recommended. They didn’t have nuggets which we paid for! Chips were frozen, even though they were burnt, cutlery was nasty, so was the tables. Wouldn’t come back!👋🏻

Easily the worst experience in a Morrison's restaurant, and i've been in a few. Took a while to find a table that looked like it might have been cleaned that day.Took a while to get to the till, wan't told of any possible delays, took over 30 minutes to get the food to table, only to be then told they had forgotten to put my part of the order through so nearly 40 minutes in total for me to get my food.I saw someone in the food queue give up and leave, same thing happened at the kiosk.My partner went to the ladies, there was 'dirt' on the floor and and when she was leaving, a cleaner popped his head round the main door, ticked a sheet, then left without actually checking the condition of the cubicle's. I don't know if staff are overworked and under resourced, or if they have just given up.

This was our second visit for an afternoon tea with mini sandwiches and a scone with cream and jam. Again of good quality. I would recommend their hot chocolate.

My hubby and I had an afternoon tea here today. Two wee triangle sandwiches with a good filling of cheddar cheese and tomato and a lovely fresh scone with cream and jam. We upgraded to coffee from tea and bought another coffee. Really reasonably priced and nice to sit and relax after shopping in the store.

Been here a few times and staff are lovely . would recommend to anyone who is shopping there . Prices are very good and food is lovely .

The menu is mainly the same sometime the service can be bit slow especially when it very busy very popular for the locals in the area.

Awful experience in café today.......what I ordered had not been put through properly which resulted in part of my order being forgotten. Everyone can make mistakes, but the problem arose when the wrong order came and I said there were items missing. Heather the waitress was very rude and told me that I hadn't paid for the two extra items and was then told to just go back into the queue and reorder items again.........no sorry even when the girl at the checkout agreed she'd put the order through wrongly........when items did turn up the other waitress appeared and started being very rude. Initially Heather should have checked with checkout girl what had happened and then rectified the situation by taking my money for the missing items and then put on some more toast......not exactly a difficult solution. When she said there were other people before me I was astounded.......... Very poor service and attitude..........not good business for such a large store.

A good cup of coffee at a good price and somewhere to relax and people watch after a busy shop in the store

The person at till is expected to take payment as well as rush to tables with orders from the kitchen, leaving a queue of disgruntled customers waiting. So, effectively each time an order comes from the kitchen she has to apologise to those customers waiting...
