Called in for a light lunch en route to our holiday caravan and to get a grocery shop done for food to take along with us for the first couple of days. Cafe was quiet yet food was dire. The hot beef roll with dripping gravy and chips was awful. Cheap bread roll, two thick sticks of tasteless processed meat of some kind, a pot of gravy that was tasteless, just brown water, so thin that it wouldn't stay on the bread or the "meat" or the chips long enough to get it to your mouth - it just poured straight off. The chips were dry and powdery, tasteless and floppy and barely warm let alone hot. Yes, it's cheap but it shouldn't be that bad. By then we had decided we would find somewhere else to buy our groceries for the duration of our two week stay in Bridport as the idea of more Morrisons food held no appeal. We both went to use their loos on our way out. Ladies had no loo roll in either cubicle and Gents had none in their cubicle either and the door of that one had a smashed up lock on it so couldn't be used by my husband without fear of someone walking in in him. The waste bins in both ladies and gents were overflowing with used paper towels and neither place had a chart on the door where the staff usually put date, time and their initials when they check the facilities - the frames were on the doors but were empty - from that, and the state they were in, I can only assume nobody bothers to check them.

Poached eggs on toast and scrambled eggs on toast were very tasty. The coffee making machine was not working, a good job as the ‘clean mugs’ were not. With the two hour parking limit the process of ordering food, shopping and obtaining fuel for the car proved to be a very anxious time. The fear of receiving a hefty fine as there were disabled people in my group made the whole visit unpleasant. Several locals had received fines as you are stilled classed as being on site, even if you are queuing for fuel. It seems Morrisons now employ a tax on older, more infirm people.

Cups are dirty as is the cutlery. There is nothing to recommend coming here! The toilets are disgusting. Bun overflowing and no toilet paper. Which was the same as last time I visited. If it wasn’t for the fact I was desperate after a 3 hour journey I would avoid this place. Morrisons, do you care for the facilities you offer?

If you want a good value breakfast not paying Bridport or Westbay breakfast prices its always good to call in here . nice breakfast

Stopped here on the way to Cornwall with the lads. Having a quick glance at the menu, I thought that ultimate breakfast looks nice. Although asked for no tomatoes or mushrooms as no one wants that. So thought for an extra 75p i might as well have some extra black pudding (black pudding comes with the meal but wanted more). Breakfast arrived without that extra black pudding, asked staff for it and they said they'd bring it over. Didn't arrive. So when I finished I went up and said I hadn't received that extra black pudding which was then given to me so ended up having it as a desert. If I had to sum it up quickly I'd say disappointing. I will give the lady on the till was very helpful, its a shame the other staff were so slow and didn't have a clue what was going on.

We called into Morrison's cafe for breakfast on the way home from Swanage. A lovely breakfast for the money and plenty of choices Well wort a visit if your in the area and doing shopping.

Sadly, Morrisons restaurant is going further downhill than my last visit 6 months ago.. I reminded myself why I said I wouldn't go in there again! The cups were filthy, stains covered the teapots, most of the cutlery had food stuck to it that mingled with the watermarks, tables were filthy. The serving staff's clothing was horrifically covered in food and stains, that was used as somewhere to wipe their hands down, then serve you your food! As for the food, very, very dry salad, obviously been left out uncovered, cheese and onion quiche also very dry and kept heated for lord knows how long, maybe even warmed up from previous day?, it was hard to tell! Chips were dry and over cooked...Overall..... very very poor with cleanliness the major concern! How can this be allowed, is there nobody at Morrisons looking at this? Oh, and the eye lashes fried into your eggs are free, well I wasn't charged for the ones I found! .

Food cooked well but it lasted all day. Shame, cheap food, if they use better quality and charged a few p more would be better.

The tables are filthy, plates stacked up and yet staff milling around. The kind and helpful young waitress had a filthy top on. I don't understand how the management let's this happen. It's cheap which is why I've taken my kids here but it's really dirty.

We were staying in the area for a long Monday to Friday so chose to come here for breakfasts. The value is good, and the fact you can modify your breakfasts always helps when your following low carb diet as we are. Simple to make changes and add substitutes to your breakfast. We did however have one issue and that was an issue with the freezer and certain items were not available on one day of our visit. as we had ordered by machine it had not been updated with what was not available. staff came and let us know and sorted us out alternatives so all was well.Bonus in coming here meant we could pick up supplies for the caravan before we went out for the day

Called in here for breakfast on our way home from holiday in devon. Have had some good breakfasts here in the past. Staff were pleasant and the quality of the food is good. However although it was 8.15 when we ordered we only waited about 10 minutes for our food. When it arrived however both my husbands' and my breakfast were barely warm. Disappointing on this occasion.

Food was really good and staff very friendly. We visited the cafe for breakfast. Full English breakfast was of good quality and tasted good.

Ordered 2x breakfast and a child’s meal at 12.06 meals arrived on the table at 12.30 child’s meal came with ice cream and we didn’t receive this until 1pm after asking 6 times absolutely disgusting service Hats off to the gentleman serving the tables very apologetic, Sundae didn’t come as advertised and was far to big for a child’s meal

The breakfast in Morrisons was good and excellent value for money, need to go early as it is very busy.

All ways visit Morrisons Cafe for our breakfast when we visit West Bay and Bridport. Recommend the big breakfast.

Popped into Morrisons for a brief shop and decided to have a cuppa before leaving. The cafe was very quiet but there wasn't a single clean table. We asked if one could be cleaned (very nicely) but it was clear that the gentleman, who eventually arrived with cloth and spray in hand, wasn't enamoured with our request, due to his facial expression. He cleaned our table, ensuring crumbs were knocked onto the seats we were about to sit on and, instead of attending other tables (as more customers were arriving) he sauntered back into the kitchen to deposit his cloth and spray accordingly. Don't think we'll return to the cafe part, but the shop itself was ok.

Convenient for a quick breakfast with ample parking and ability to shop for any extras needed .Open earlier than most places nearby

I had Salmon and hubby had lasagne. It was cheap and really nice. Staff very nice. They need to clear and wipe tables down regularly.

Ideal before challenging the Southwest coast path as few places have a large car park and serve breakfast at 8am

We stopped by this cafe whilst holiday shopping. Off peak it was still busy and popular with customers.

We stopped here for a break in a long journey and some petrol and quite frankly we would have been better drinking the petrol. Having filled the car we decided to visit the cafe and have a drink. Mistake. The coffee is one of those that comes out of a machine where you select your drink. We avoided the other coffees and stuck with a milky coffee thinking we could not go wrong. Another mistake. It is not often that I cannot finish a coffee but this was so bitter it was unbelievable.

Called in on the way through Bridport en route to Monkton Wyld. Great breakfast, freshly cooked and served by very friendly staff. Enjoyed it so much we called in again a few days later on the way home. Again piping hot food, fish and chips this time. Would definitely recommend this cafe.

Called here for a quick bite to eat. Exceptionally slow service. Tables were very dirty and not being cleaned. When asked to come and clean the table, a gentleman came over to clean it but still left it dirty! The whole cafe looks very dirty. The food was ok, however the service very poor.

We were served by a very helpful and polite young lady where nothing was too much trouble. Coffee okay considering it comes out of a push button machine. Nice to be able to sit outside in the shade too.

Another great breakfast taken here whilst "en route" Flexibility of breakfast choices was better than the previous visits too. Couldn't fault, quality, price or service. Well pleased !

This used to be such a good little restaurant but not anymore. The staff seemed rushed off their feet despite not many in the restaurant. No trays available as they had not been cleaned, no mugs for coffee again as they had not been washed, so had to use disposable cup for coffee and tea and they have become the latest place to disallow you from having the choice of drinks with sugar. All their soft drinks are now completely sugar free. When I asked if I could grab a bottle of coke from the shop fridge by the cafe I was told that I could not purchase it at the cafe. I would have to take it through the checkout and then I would be able to drink it in the cafe. In a world where anything seems to be acceptable, Morrison’s are deciding for us how much sugar we are allowed in our drinks. Allow people to have the choice and decide for themselves.

Called today. Coffee machine broken. No plates. Limited pastries. Just awful. Morrisons losing out to Lidl and Waitrose in the town. Seems they have given up.

Typical supermarket food but very nicely cooked and the cafe is clean and tidy, easy to park and friendly staff very reasonable prices

Just ended a brilliant few days away, had to be off caravan site by 10am , so decided to have breakfast here before going home.

Usually good for a cheap snack/lunch but on a recent visit the poor staff were chasing their tails, the queue was horrendous and when a member of the flustered staff was told the cutlery had run out her reply was "I can't cook AND fetch clean forks!" Shame because they obviously need more staff to provide the normally good service consistently.

A few years ago on one of our trips to Dorset we had something to eat here andf it was that appalling i wrote them a letter of complaint however i cannot fault this visit ! Normally i dont review supermarket cafes but on this occasion i feel its warranted. After sleeping overnight in our van we were starving and needing food and refreshment. The Morrisons cafe was nearby and a supermarket we always shop in when in Dorset. The cafe is clean and homely a nice place to eat. I wasnt expecting much from the breakfast so what a nice surprise this was ! A big plate each was brought to our table consisitng of nice bacon, delicious sausages, tasty fried egg and normally i hate boiled mushrooms but these were lovely as was the hash browns and toast with actual butter on not that nasty margarine that so many places use.and there was a fried slice too all washed down with a pot of tea and just under a fiver each, Excellent value

Had bit lunch here . No complaints. Food was nice . Clean and tidy . Staff seemed helpfull. Had sandwich and cake . But cooked food other people had looked ok to.

the food was OK but my chips were very cold not cook right and staff are not trainer right how to do there job the right way and the tables were left for 2 hours under clean and staff are very rude to payed customer one staff call me fat i will never re turn ever ,

Arrived about six pm with gran children to have a treat and do the shopping run. Enjoyable evening and lovely service, excellent food, plenty of choice and reasonable priced

We stopped here to pick up a few bits on our way to West Bay we were both hungry so choose to have some food in the cafe (big mistake). I was suprised at the menu as it looked inviting - I ordered scampi and chips and my husband ordered hunters chicken. The chicken was served with a square of rubber cheese on top and bbq sauce over. The cheese hadn't even melted so the food was luke warm at best. My scampi was over cooked and chips warm - I left the chips and looking around the cafe so did most people. The onion rings that were ordered to go with the hunters chicken arrived when we were about to leave. We wished we hadn't wasted our money. Will definitely not be visiting ANY Morrisons Cafe in future. You would think being a supermarket with fresh food they would be able to serve good food not overcooked or not served luke warm! The place was also dirty and tables were not being cleared. Avoid at all costs...

Stopped here on the way to Poole. It was around 0900 so I would expect the food to be fresh, but the breakfast was exceptional. I asked the eggs to be done over easy and guess what? They were done perfectly. Pleasant member of staff. Well humoured. Told me he had worked a long time for "little "Chef" which brought back memories of taking the kids to Bournemouth and having a break there. I will certainly go back here for breakfast

Being about an hour from us, this place makes a great place for breakfast if we leave at about 8am. The selection of breakfasts is always good and they are prepared to adjust to your requirements. Staff are cheerful even though they are multi-tasking and busy.

Ordered 2 cheese toastie and chips, had to wait quite a while, thought we would have a quick snack to save time at home. Cheese seemed to have been boiled and bread really hard in places. chips were OK but 'dry'. Should have picked up Fish and chips else where.or picked up something in store !

Tried this several times won't be foolish to try again thought they might have been having a bad day .Food is burnt and cold obviously tried re heating The burger was like a rubber sole of my shoe ,and the jacket potato burnt n cold ,Meals are cheap enough but guess he cost is limited to a small amount of money per meal . What a shambles, not particularly busy, but 20 minute wait, rude, well, disinterested staff, and food quality really not worth even the reasonable charge. Plenty of places to eat nearby, so treat yourself not punish.

Decided to have a snack while visiting the Store. Not a good idea toasted sandwiches were awful with soggy chips. Warm coffee from machine. Not impressed will not return.

Excellent cooked breakfast for vegetarians, you get a veggie sausage which slot of places fail to add. They serve porridge with fresh fruit and their lattes are very good.We wish we had gone here everyday for our meals whilst camping as its so good.

If your travelling or staying in the area this is a great place to stop off and have breakfast, or tea. the food in west bay is on the more pricy side and with morrisons you get good food at a reasonable price

It was okay, I had eggs benedict! The hollandaise sauce was a bit rich and couldn't eat it but the eggs bacon and muffin where great!!!! My partner had a large breakfast! Despite only getting one slice of bread and half a tomato he still enjoyed it!

We went to have lunch as we were camping locally and had got very wet and cold so felt we needed a hot meal to warm up. It took almost 15 mins to be served and we were told at the till there was half hour wait for hot food. That was fine, I went and bought my 3 yr old a tinkerbell activity pack from the main shop while my husband sat with her. It took 50 minutes for our meals to arrive. They were very busy and we appreciated that but 30 mins was unrealistic and noone came to say sorry it's going to be a bit longer. When the food came it my husbands burger was on the verge of being burnt and it was clear the onion rings and pie gad been sat under a hot lamp for a long time. We didn't bother complaining about the food as we didn't want to wait any longer for fresh food to arrive. My husband did have a word with customer services who were apologetic. It left very little time to then do the shopping within the carpark allowance time!!

On holiday in the area so popped in for a bite after shopping and getting petrol. The tables were stacked with dirty pots and rubbish laden trays. There was a small queue so we cleared a table and risked it. There were two people serving one making food the other on the till. OMG what a shambles they were short staffed obviously and they couldn't cope. One called Debbie was slamming stuff about and when told the coffee machine was empty banged the doors with an awful attitude until it worked. I asked for a knife as all the cutlery was empty her reply was ' I'm doing the job of 4 people just wait' I cannot accept this gross behavior from a woman in a customer service job when asked politely. The other girl was making the food and serving it to tables which were a health hazard. Management should not have allowed this situation as she was speaking badly to lots of people. The other girl was apologizing for the nearly one hour wait. I would have walked out but had paid so we read the papers. The talk in the cafe was about how appalling everything was. Management take note get it sorted and don't allow your customers to be treated in this disgraceful manner due to your lack of interest in staffing the cafe. We called in for shopping a few days later to see Debbie and a few extra colleagues still harassed but wouldn't have done dreamed of going in the cafe. Absolutely terrible. Had there been another supermarket we would have shopped there. 0/10

Great to see food on the menu not shipped in oil drums from the far east - The Sunday Roast - british chicken mash and roast spuds with peas and carrots. A simple dish no problems with the chicken (Morrisons is good for meat) mash peas good the roast potatoes were soggy and the carots were fresh from the field. You could not argue they were fresh but they just needed cooking. Its £5 it should be a winner and we all should be there on a Sunday filling our plates. Why is it then it is moribund in the idea that sales staff can serve food - that a retail outlet does not have the notion that serving food is not filling shelves - I watched there was a total fear to test the food - it waited in vain on the heated shelves to get out to the tables - The meal behind us was cold - easily resolved - the table to the side of us was dirty - easily resolved -In fact I just take the cloth and spray and clean my own each time - The putting of the food on a plate is NOT serving the food to the customer - A simple management of the tables - Staff always polite - always helpful - So it is a shame that a good value meal is ruined by not a lack of management but a lack of catering management - some people can serve others can not - So have the roast its good value - have the fish n chips always good - but as others do avoid making it a regular thing for to be regular is to be further frustrated with the organisational process - The best thing to do - would be to cut out all the rest and on Sundays its a Carvery but then the staff may have to learn how to use a knife!

We found this restaurant whilst moving into our new home six years ago. We needed a good feed after a hard days work and we found it here. We chose fish, chips and peas plus a cuppa and bread &butter.all for under £10 as there happened to be a special offer. We have visited several time since and realise Special Offers abound. However, these are very popular and the limited staff find it somewhat difficult keeping up with demand as it seems its all freshly prepared whilst you wait! Be patient and you'll be rewarded in plenty!

Came for a stop and some food after a long journey to be told it would be a 45 minute wait for some hot food. This was after we had to wait ages for someone to bring out some trays so we could at least buy a drink. We just ditched it and bought some food from the section in the shop. My two stars goes to the actual shop- not the cafe!

Just ordered food, Told 35 min wait explained my two guests were diabetic and had taken there Insulin did not seem interested Cutlery was dirty tablets dirty, Would have walked out, But due to the diabetic issues had to put up with this, this is down to bad management, UNHAPPY

Big breakfast and coffee,nothing special,not bad or good,usual superstore fare,cheap and cheerful at reasonable cost,would probably use again if needed.

Long waits for food, dirty tables, foor and cutlery. Frequently running out of serviettes, coffee, cutlery etc. Food generally poor and cold. Staff, friendly enough but so slothful and inefficient, maybe they don't get paid enough to give a dam.

We have eaten here a few times but have always had to wait a long time for the food to arrive. I think staff are run off their feet. Food is always hot and tasty. We were disappointed on the Sunday to find a very limited choice as most things we ordered had run out

The new look within the cafe is great with a really relaxed style, is a credit to the overall store. It's superb value and the staff are friendly. Overall a great experience, good work.

Stopped of here on a rainy day for a brekkie. As usual we were not disappointed. Morrisons cafes always offer, good food, good value and friendly staff. If you want a quick, cheap meal go here.

Had a cheap and convenient family tea here after getting some shopping. Food was good, quantity and quality were fine. What you would expect from a supermarket cafe.

Morrisons' cafes tend to vary it seems. Some are great.... but this one isn't. The staff are friendly enough but we ordered our children a 'Spaghetti Bolognese' and a 'Chicken Burger'. When it arrived (after a pretty long wait) the spaghetti was a sticky mess stuck to the plate due to over zealous microwaving and the chicken burger can only be described as a small black disc in a spongy white bun. Awful.

We visited here after returning from our holiday, we had been in before as a family, and had an odd experience we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and try again. When we approached the counter there were three trays on the floor all were dirty and not even stacked, there were only a few cups laid in the area where the cups would normally have been stacked and of those few they looked dirty. There was clearly a domestic going on between the two young members of male staff as one threw his apron across the counter and stormed off and the other had no intention of serving us, looking through us as if we were not there!Come on Morrisons, sort this out we love stopping at your restaurant , you have always been our number 1 stop off point for food when travelling.

We were camping nearby and went to the supermarket to get supplies when the heavens opened. We decided to venture into the cafe as opposed to cooking in a soggy tent.Kids eat free. And two meals for £9 were the advertised deals.And indeed we had two meals totally £9 and two kids meals cost us nothing. You get what you pay for but overall four meals for £9 is a very good deal. The meals were average size and quality but for that price you can't go wrong.

I have called here many times for lunch , they serve really nice food and its hot enough , trouble is you have to wait for ever , sometimes the staff forget about you and you have to remind them that youve been waiting a long time , i went in there recently and spent 90 minutes and only ordered 2 dinners and 2 ice creams most of that time we were waiting , it gets worse , infact i think ill look for somewhere else , or nip into west bay for chips and icecream instead .

We stop here for an all day breakfast on our trips to Devon. The service is variable, but quick this time, despite it being a Saturday lunchtime. Breakfasts are big, with everything you could want, but only just hot enough. Food is all well-cooked.

Drove to Morrison's to do the weekly shop, myself and my partner thought we'd grab a brekky, BIG mistake waste of 12 quid! Service was SLOW, and painful, the staff didn't seem to know what day of the week it was, ordered 2big breakfasts wasn't offered toast , so had to Que back up our toast came out first after a 20minute wait, then 10 minutes later, came the under cooked eggs, hard mushrooms and tomatoes, under done bacon and average sausage, really really greasy fried bread and enough fat on our plates to cook 20more fry ups! Hash browns were the only things that were hot and crispy DO NOT RECOMMEND

Situated at front of store the café is quite small. Food takes a long time to appear but appears attractive. Coffee is good and prices are fair.

Sometimes we go here or tea on a Friday night - the deal is kids eat free on week nights, and 2 adults can get 2 hot meals and 2 drinks for £9 - so an amazing deal all round.Usually the meal is ok - I tend to have Hunters Chicken, my Husband has fish & chips and kids have random things but generally fish and chips, I have noticed sometimes the fish is large (almost adult size) and sometimes the size of a fish finger .... sometimes we order beans and get peas and visa versa (with no explanation) and more often than not if we order jacket potato with our meal, there are none left! This is never a surprise anymore. So we tend to say " do you have any jackets left today?" On the whole the meal is hot, sometimes just warm, sometimes plates are hot, sometimes cold, sometimes its quick out, sometimes very slow, sometimes a happy member of staff serves you :) and sometimes not :( Its very random at Bridport Morrison's café! but at £9 for 4 people to eat and drink, you just accept it! and hope for a good day!

Always find the staff very helpful to customers with special needs (without being patronising). There is sometimes a long wait at lunch times for cooked food but staff always advise you if this is the case. Good prices but handy for coffee or a cheap lunch whilst shopping.

Two of us had very good fish and chips with mushy peas and two mugs of mocha for just over £12.Surroundings not terribly cheery and I had the impression the staff were used to apologising but were still pleasant and obliging.Have paid more and fared worse in other places.

8am. Stores just opened my son and i thought we'd grab a quick breakfast on the way to school. Ordered food not a problem. Went to get cutlery there isn't any. Sweetener? None! ketchup? None so when i asked about it I was told the staff the night before hadn't done it all and she'd only just arrived and she would sort it. Ok fair enough im thinking thats poor managment but i start looking around where im sitting and realise the cutlery wasnt the only thing they forgot to do last night the tables were discusting rubbish on them and not wiped down not nice. Before i could say lets go forget breakfast it had arrived. It looked like it normally did my son enjoyed his bit i couldnt help thinking i wonder what state the kitchen is in if they can't even wipe a table. Will avoid in future

Went here one night when we had just driven a few hours back from holiday with our 3 children, and didn't feel like cooking. Week nights kids ate free so for a family of 5, we had 2 curry meals, kids macaroni cheese x 2 and ham egg and chips + drinks. It cost about £12, bargain as far as I'm concerned.Not enough staff but the one girl there was very nice, the food isn't gourmet obviously, it's the Morrisons poor people range but hey ho it wasn't horrible, the kids liked it, and we didn't have to cook that day. I'll go again once I've saved up another £12.

Stopped at this branch for breakfast and even ordering was a nightmare....I cant stand mushrooms or semi raw tomato so i said leave them off and could i have toast instead....the answer was no ! They charged me for a slice of bread!!!! Any the breakfast came out and it was a sham..barely cooked egg(it so raw a bloke next to me commented on it) the bacon was very poor and again undercooked...fried slice was a joke as was the hash browns...went away very hungry and angry i paid for that crap!!! AVOID 0/10

Quite a bit to choose from. Very good value especially if you have children. Free meals in the evening for them.

Granted it was Christmas but you'd think they'd work out the numbers better. The meal we did choose was good value though, however, we waited almost 45 minutes for it and one of the girls working was so horrified she gave us a free drink. Sadly they do not cater for coeliacs and so my Aunt had to go hungry. I'm sure it would be better during less busy periods.

Visited for a quick coffee, not been before. Didn't start well with a visit to the filthiest loos in Britain in the branch - yeugh. There were two coffee machines, both delivering a filthy cuppa. As I sat down in the restaurant to soak up the ghastly atmosphere I started to look about. The floor under the tray trolleys was tea stained and covered in dirt that could not have accumulated that morning. On the tables there were trays holding condiments that were filled with dirt and remnants that also hadn't been touched by staff hands for some time. Beware cafes where they bolt the chairs to the floor - never a good sign and this was no exception. A grim experience morrisons

Well what can you say about a Morisons, good food at a resonable price. Close to West Bay so give it a try

Food is good value when cooked properly but it is very hit and miss as to whether you get a good 'un.

Tomatos were hard and not grilled long enough (if at all). Mushrooms looked like they had been cooked in the microwave, Bacon was only just cooked, had no colour to it, really pink and sallty even for bacon! Egg was burnt and rubbery. Hash browns were far beyond golden brown. The only thing I actually ate was the toast and beans. Very cheap food but should have been better.. The service was pretty slow even though they were not that busy, plenty of empty seats.

The food is great The service is slow I was waiting 30 Min for a simple breakfast it's not the staff at fault there seems to be a management problem (not enough staff) but you cannot knock the food
