Morrisons Bangor Cafe in Gwynedd

Despite so many negative reviews, we decided to give it a go. Fish and chips for two (can't really go wrong with that, or so i thought) was ordered and eventually arrived just about warm. I asked for some tartar sauce and was given one tiny sachet. On asking if we could have a sachet each, the waitress simply said "No you can't" and walked away. Tip - use a load of their tissues to clean the table and to sterilize the cutlery.

Waited nearly 10 mins at the head of queue, staff ignoring us. When I asked for a certain snack with my drink was told "we haven't got any". No 'sorry' or alternative offer. 2 months ago when I went to the cafe their drink machine wasn't working so told to get a coffee from the takeaway machine. I asked a staff member could he show me how to use it and he said "no, I'm going home". Staff are rude and grumpy. Better in summer months when they take on students as temp help. They are polite and helpful.

I saw that most of the food they made was ready meals of the self and second there was a hair in my friends food which put her off

My friend and I go to Morrisons regularly for breakfast,we went this morning,when I was in the middle of eating my breakfast I saw one of the staff picking a piece of cutlery from the floor and put it back where all the cutlery were,I couldn't believe what I was seeing, someone is going to eat with something that's been on the floor,that's it,I won't be going there again.disgusting.

Had the Xmas lunch 2 course for £10.00 beautiful except the roast potatoes not nice mash potatoes absolutely beautiful worth every penny

Cutlery was filth had to ask 3 times for new clean Cutlery the staff were rude when asked for new ones other people were also asking for some, table's were building up with dirty dishes, cups ect all the counter top was dirty, customers had to clean their own table's.

It wasnt just Fiddler's Dram who had a lovely time the day they went to Bangor, We also did with the help of 4 full english breakfasts for Morrisons for £20 including tea, The breakfast was certainly on a par with Little Chefs Olympic breakfast circa 1990.

Sunday lunch Went to try it out Lovely meal beef had you got a choice of chicken or beef the beef I had was a beef from package everything lovely except no sauces to go with it like mint sauce cranberry sauce I would recommend bring your own large Yorkshire pudding

Great food and staff nice and place clean and tidy.one woman was doing the service of food and collect dishes on table and still nice and a smile on her face as other woman a member of staff with dark brown hair chubby was sitting talking to herself and staring at staff working while eating food in cafe.credit to that woman and bloke on till as great service

This place could be a goldmine if the staff had proper training, were staffed correctly. The cafe is always understaffed with staff doing their best. Not helped by the amount of staff you can see that pop over for coffee during their break- adding additional pressure to the cafe. The coffee machine which is fairly new so I was told is continuously breaking down and was under repair during my visit. Opting for a big breakfast it came out really quick. The bacon was fatty and lacking in colour, the tomato hard and beans cold. Staff are great and do their best to provide a good quality service. I know next time to ask for my bacon to be well done. Overall you get what you pay for

We came for breakfast while we were in the que, there was an old chap in front of us trying to get the attention of the girls behind the counter to come and take his money for his coffee, they were ignoring him, I don’t think he could speak properly and he had crutches, they were laughing at him , eventually one said , oh I’ll go then!!! She served him with no patience and put his coffee on a table, these girls need to remember they will be old one day,one girl was on her mobile behind the counter and to be honest the 4 girls today were acting as though the customers were an inconvenience

Popped in for a quick lunch, waiting 10 mins to order in a rather short queue, and then waited 35+ mins for food! No spoons to stir the tea with and when asked for sugar they said on the table, but only 1 sugar pot between all tables, had to scav around for it and it was almost empty. We left before food arrived since people in front of us had been waiting up to 50 mins for their food. Only ordered 2 full english, which are pre made and they only have the egg to add onto it, ridiculous that people had to wait so long and no warning on arrival that there would be a wait time. Enough staff on shift but most looked busy doing nothing. Unfortunate. Wont be returning here again

Lovely staff Food takes too long Hygiene is awful Staff are really lovely and polite but took over 45 minutes for a breakfast to arrive. What made it worse was the lack of food hygiene and awareness. A staff member brought our food order and had her thumb inside the beans! Lol really put me off! Other staff wear handling food without gloves whilst with same hands touching raw food and scratching their hair. Also saw staff wipe raw egg yolk on apron then use apron to wipe plates. Nails and hands were very dirty. A real shame as this could be a great place to eat. Food prices were very reasonable.

The food is fresh , hot , the service is with a Welsh smile 😊. Covid rules adhered to , hot food washed down with 2 pots of tea . Plus excellent “value for money”.

Short of staff is no excuse for poor hygiene practices,i watched the staff member handling money,touch screening the till then going straight to preparing food including buttering/cutting bread without washing/sanitizing hands inbetween,he did this time and time again.very slow service,lukewarm coffee by the time i got to an unwiped table.I am a qualified food handler and in my opinion this cafe should be closed for staff retraining then opened with regular inspections.
