Food was nice but expensive and comes across as trying to be ‘posh’ fish and chips, which is not what I want from a chippy. I can’t help but feel you are paying for the nice cardboard box and paper bag rather than the quality of food. Also the chips are slimmer than the usual “chippy chips”. Nothing wrong with it just not for me

Quality food cooked to order. Friendly staff & a good variety on the menu. Meal deals are good value, list near till, free drink with offer. Small selection of desserts are also available.

Visited for the first time today. Fish and chips meals were ok but the doner meat was awful. I asked if I could have doner meat and salad in stead of chips! oh my gosh I got a few SLABS of doner meat 2 lettuce leaves and 2 slices of tomato and they still charged me the same price as it would be for doner and chips 🙈 afraid won’t be going back

Decided to give this place a try. Probably won't be returning. Chips were under cooked and very, very greasy. Pie had a strange taste to it. Jumbo sausage was mediocre to say the least. Will definitely be going back to the other chip shop up the road.

Lovely fish and chips and lovely people serving. Tywyn is very lucky to have two fantastic chip shops. Mor also does some lovely ice cream and desserts. Highly recommended 👍

Fish goujons coated in thick and undercooked batter. Fish inside was cold and difficult to eat. Possibly the reason we were up all night. First and last time we will be visiting 😞

Very friendly staff. Food cooked fresh, fish goujons and chips were delicious, large portions, ordered a large sausage which was nice but unfortunately wasn't battered and smaller than what I was expecting. Asked for salt and vinegar but I think they forgot to put vinegar on. Food wasn't drained after frying so box was dripping with grease. Very good value for the price, less than a tenner for fish goujons, large chips and large sausage.

Went in on the 24th April ordered 2 regular fish and large chips, but this is thesecind time this has happened, chips warm up not hot and the fish looked good the batter was OK but the fish inside was cold, as mentioned this has happened before, obviously pre cooked but they need to be able to keep it hot, a little disappointed.

Excellent chicken and chips. Chicken had a lovely crispy skin but was succulent inside. Highly recommend

Very worth a special visit! I come here for dinner most nights. Highly recommend my favourite: Salt and pepper squid bites with fully loaded fries. (Bacon and cheese fries) Fantastic, friendly, warm service, high quality and fast food. Plus they've expanded offering Mario's ice cream plus sweet treats. Now all I need is a sunny day. Easy 5 stars.

Popped in for fish and chips on a week day evening - was really well organised and the food came quickly. Food was great - word of warning a large portion of fish is very large!

Fantastic food, excellent portion size, wonderful friendly atmosphere amazing choices across the menu, spotlessly clean and the Môr Burger .......Wow 👍👍👍 highly recommended a d will definitely pay another visit.

Tried this place not too long ago. The service was great and the food was absolutely delicious! The only downside was I didn't get to try everything before I went home. It was great to see a different menu to your average chip shop which also includes all the classics too. I look forward to visiting again when I'm back! ☆☆☆☆☆

Whitebait and nutty flavoured chips, cod goujons- absolutely awesome. These chefs know how to cook.

Very good value for money. The kid's meal was enormous and would easily be enough for me and excellent value with a free drink. The scampi and chips were lovely, but couldn't finish it as the portions are big. Very quick service and friendly staff.

Been here tonight based on reviews. Genuinely up there with the best fish, chips and curry sauce I've ever had! Lovely thin but crispy batter on gorgeous fish. Soft chips just as I love them. Curry sauce that I could eat on rice with a naan if I wanted to! Just over a tenner so good prices too. 10/10. Friendly staff too.

Came for the first time. No atmosphere, service was standard, the food wasn't great! The sausage looked and tasted like it had been there all day. Curry was thick and congealed.

Most unusually for them, I was not impressed with my meal this time. I ordered a large fish, the batter wasn't cooked all the way through and the fish wasn't very hot but tasteless. Hoping this is a one off as the food here is normally delicious

Very nicely laid out and decorated inside and out. Extremely efficient staff and service. Food was very good and given how ridiculously expensive fish and chips are these days, this place was the cheapest I've found in a long time. The curry sauce was the best I've had in years.

Visited here on a busy Saturday evening. Despite my friends advice of 'it's only just up the road' we walked 3 miles to get to the establishment. We arrived just before a party of 20 folks so that was a jolly lucky bit of timing. There was already a queue but the very efficient staff meant the queue was always moving. We ordered and probably only waited no more than 5 mins for 4 portions of fish and chips. Not too expensive as it only came to 28 of your earth pounds. The fish was amazing! A light crisp batter, that wasn't greasy, covered a piece of beautifully flakey haddock. Probably the best fish I've had for a long time. A good portion of chips too, that again were really nice and not soggy and greasy at all. I can see why they have queues going up the street. Give them a try, they really are a treat. I didnt get a photo as I was too busy eating the food before the seagulls attacked us. They were eyeing us up from atop of a lamp post. I stuffed my fat face whilst chanting 'You will never get this, you will never get this'. It worked and the bird flapped off with a look of anger and frustration on its beak. I think it went off, rounded up some friends and then attacked a coach load of pensioners eating their egg sandwiches outside the Spar shop. Chaos ensued as one of the pensioners had his old service revolver and started firing in an eratic fashion and actually shot an off duty traffic warden. Imagine everyone's relief when we found out he was a traffic warden. The pensioner had managed to scare off the birds and any other traffic wardens in the area and they finished their food in peace. The end.

Best fish and chips I've had in ages! Good quality fish, lovely batter and chips. Only opened a year or so ago and can tell the owners take great pride.

Very wet evening so asked if we could eat in. Ate in best fish and chips had for a long time always better at the seaside but these were very special. Thank you for your wonderful food and great hospitality

When this place opened it was great, however went tonight and was mediocre at best. Large sausage was served as 2 overcooked very small sausages and cod coujons were a broken up fish, not impressed, such a shame as you were really great to start but typically gone downhill, complacent, so hope you survive when the holiday makers have gone! Welcoming staff even when busy, stayed in the area on holiday, looked at the reviews the shop already had so thought we would try it - so glad we did, good fresh food and lovely tasting, reasonably priced and we were so happy with it - we went back for more another day.

The haddock was amongst the best I've had, freshly cooked and light crispy batter. The chips on the other hand were greasy and soggy. Also. My wife was asked whether she wanted salt and vinegar, which she did, but when she opened the box none had been added

Hands down best fish and chips ever!

Ordered two large haddock & one large chips (plus mushy peas) cost £17.90 to takeaway. Presented in cardboard boxes which I put on my lap only to find grease seeping out of them. Wouldn’t describe the haddock as large and it was mainly greasy batter. The chips weren’t anything special and again very greasy. Don’t mind paying that much if it’s tasty and good quality. Sadly this wasn’t either.

First night of any weekend away is always fish, chips and curry sauce. This place was lovely. Quick friendly service and decent portion sizes... (large fish, regular chip's for a tenner), and curry sauce best I've tasted for quite a while. Make sure you go here if your in the area. Note: they do take card payments.

Had take away fish and chips. The fish itself was very good but the batter was heavy and greasy and the chips soggy and greasy and small.

Good choice of menu with some special deals on also. They do squid with chips, and some other different things go in there and find out. A good choice of drinks and some Mario's ice creams with plenty of different flavours. Very clean inside and enough room to wait. This place does not have indoor seating but there is plenty of outdoor seating near the sea front so go and enjoy chips by the sea. We had fish and chips, I must say the chips were really nice and like a golden colour the fish was haddock and very tasty, the batter was slightly oily for my personal liking but that's my personal taste. Curry sauce had a nice little kick to it and was very tasty. Service was quick and efficient. Food was served in a timely manner and piping hot. The thought of the name on the box was a nice touch, and I do prefer the cardboard box over the polyester ones as these can be recycled and environmentally friendly, which is a plus point. Would definitely visit again

Fantastic fish and chips and a Wrexham fan too!

For those if a certain age this is fish and chips. Fish cooked perfectly with a batter thats not sloppy and soggy but crisp and golden brown. Chips that keep you popping back to the plate to take one more when you feel fit to bust. And scraps. Yummy scraps. Oh I'd give it ten out out of five if I could. This is a chip shop. Try it.

Unfortunately the chips were very oily and hard, seemed like they had bit sat there for a while, the haddock was okay. We all had a bit of a stomach ache that night and the next morning :(

The owner, even though he's a Liverpool fan, is cheerful, friendly and helpful! The chippy is excellent - my fave in the UK! The portions are generous and the quality has always been pleasing. The wait wasn't long, and the service with a smile I'm sure is genuine - a happy workforce, a good product... It can only be a five star Môr Tywyn!

I went in today for the first time as I was in the area and this place had the better Google review score. I placed my order only to be told one price, then to be told a second price?? I was asked if I wanted salt and vinegar on them to which I said yes. When the lad called me over to collect my fish chips and curry sauce, I righty or wrongly assumed that he had put salt and vinegar on them for me, after all I was asked if I wanted it on, until I opened them up to not get that whiff of vinegar, nor the taste, come to mention it, no salt either?? Why ask if I want it to then not put it on? Unless it was so they could charge me for using the condiments? The chips were good, but unfortunately the cod batter was a bit greasy and looked a little bit burnt, just like it had been cooked once, left in the heater a little while, then dropped in the fat again to heat it back through, my cod was definitely not cooked to order as I wasn't waiting long enough before I was walking out the door. Oh the curry sauce was great, different to the yellow stuff we get back home and over on the east coast.

Lovely place for fish and chips

First visit. Nice and clean. Staff friendly and order taken promptly. Good selection of meals. Ordered scampi and chips and the chilli cheese and chips. A few people waiting for their orders. Ours arrived in cardboard which were both heavy. Unfortunately the chips were SO greasy with a strange taste that we couldn’t eat them. The grease had worked through to the bottom of the box. The chilli and cheese topping had no taste due to the grease. There were 9 pieces of scampi which were ok. £13 wasted for a meal we couldn’t eat. Not sure if this was an off night but we won’t be returning.

I have spent a huge part of my life in Tywyn and I can honestly say that this is the best chippy ever! Served by professional and friendly staff you get great food every time in sustainable packaging too. One year on....long may your business success continue.

1st time trying this chippy. Staff friendly, however food not up to much. Chips had a strange taste to them. Fish nice but the batter tasted burnt. Having worked previously in a chip shop I think they need to clean or change the oil it's cooked in.

Excellent food and the staff were friendly. We had fish, chips and peas and we would rate this as one of the best chippy meals we've ever had. Sooo good.

Having walked and drove past this chippy over the last 2 days we decided to try it out last night. The exterior looked lovely and drove me more to want to try this fancy new chip shop! (New to us as it wasn't there pre covid when we last visited!) The service was super quick and the staff were extremely polite, friendly and chatty. Impressed with the food and the curry sauce was delicious 😋 Will definitely have to return when next visiting Tywyn!

This place does the best fish in Tywyn (except Salt Marsh Kitchen, but they're at a slightly different price point) - but I'd say the chips are slightly better from Skippy's/Chippy's just down the high street. Personally, I think the fish is more important so I'd go here - but it's up to you I suppose. Remember your own bag, as you'll be charged if you need one from Mor.

Had 2 large fish and chips, with a battered sausage, mushy peas and gravy….apart from having curry sauce instead of gravy, food was fantastic. Fish was so white, battered used was excellent and the chips were spot on. Be definitely be using this one again 👍👍👍

We had chicken and chips, the chicken was like concrete and chips were disgusting had to pick the best ones we also had fish cake it was more like fat cake of potatoes And no fish Never again.

Always pop in here when we visiting friends in Tywyn, hubby is a picky devil but loves the fish n chips. I try different things each time, and it's always good.

We got cod and chips on a Tuesday evening while on holiday. The staff were friendly and the food was lovely. The batter on the fish was crispy and the fish inside was really nicely cooked. The chips were lovely too. We shared two large portions of chips between four of us and it was plenty. They had a good section of drinks cans etc - would definitely recommend.

Clean, modern, family atmosphere. Love the sustainability in the packaging. We ordered fish goujons expecting about 3/4, there was tons! About 8 and they were big. Can portions that are too big really be a criticism though? Lovely crisp, light, non greasy batter. Excellent chippy.

Nice looking restaurant, interior seemed clean and staff were friendly. Unfortunately quality of our food was poor-average. Our party had food including scampi, cod and chicken nuggets and all of it seemed dry as if it had been cooked a long while before we ordered it.

Friends had recommended Môr so we had large fish & chips today & we were not disappointed. Excellent, tasty & good value.

Am a bit fussy with chips so when I rate this 5/5 believe me that it was that good! Bought 4x large fish & chips between six of us to eat on the beach, 3 would have been enough tbh. Chips were crispy & nicely cooked. Some places seem to over-batter their fish, this was not the case here.

large cod - crispy batter and proper fish inside - 9/10 - would have been 10/10 if they'd remebered the salt and vinegar - chicken and mushroom pie - most expensive and worst ever (and i've eaten thousands) - totally tasteless i'm afraid....

We had a takeaway, cod and chips, sausage and chips and curry sauce. We got served really quickly, the food was hot and very tasty and around £10 less than we pay for the same food at home.

Môr (Welsh for Sea) has a really varied menu with some unusual dishes too. Last night I had battered Squid pieces with a chili sauce. Sheila had a simple fish cake. We shared the ample portion of chips. Both dishes were brilliant and the chips were still crisp when we got home a few moments away. Each dish was packed in its own cardboard box and then they were all put into a brown paper carrier for us to take away. You should keep an eye open for the dark blue frontage towards the seaward end of the High Street. Môr opens at 5pm now it is getting lighter and 5:30 pm in the winter.

Best fish and chips in town. However, the halloumi fries (which cost more than a small cod and chips) were a massive let down and not worth the money.

Having had a rather rubbish day in the West Midlands on Tuesday we popped home to Shropshire and then had a quick dash to our holiday home in Tywyn via our new favourite Fish and Chip purveyor. Smiley welcome (worth its weight in gold) and simply scrumptious Fish and Chips at a realistic price...

Tywyn now has a decent chippy worthy of its seaside location. Very tasty chips well packaged and freshly cooked. Staff were pleasent and service was quick and efficient.

Just popped down for our first fish and chips from the new shop and we were not disappointed the fish was delicious and the batter crispy and the chips were crispy and hot. And the large portion of cod was a good size. Looking forward to going back to try the other items on the menu. Highly recommended.

Best fish and chips ever. Best around for miles.I must have tried them all in a 5 mile radius and non come up to this standard .staff are lovely , very clean place .you won't be disappointed.

Perfect chips and several amazing choices to go with them. Great vegetarian options with 3 bean chilli being my favourite. Ample portions. And the best bit is a bag of scraps (batter bits). Fast service even in busy times but do expect to queue outside...
