As my local I've tried food here a few times and always been disappointed. Pies always seem to be dry or overcooked. I've taken to driving a little further out now if I want fish and chips. However great staff always friendly and accommodating.

Good fast service amd the food is good. They might want to tone it down a bit with the batter on the fish. Too much oil as well. You can order for pick up, or order there and wait. The wait area is small, though.

Good estate chip shop. Friendly staff, good service and choice of items. Not long waits when I've been, plenty of parking outside.

I ordered on line through just eat and I was very disappointed. I have used Moores fish for years and in the last 12 months the food quilty has dropped. I keep going back hopping it was just a one off and the cook was having a bad day.. and sadly this is not the case it continues to be below standers and I'm left feeling over charged and very disappointed. No love or passion is put in to the quality of the food anymore. It's such a shame... Fish was over cooked, and greasy and the size of the large cod well that was not worth the £9.99 that i payed... the price is high and the quality was low very low... the chips were warm and tasteless and for £5 and portion it's not fair to the customer I have been loyal to you for more than 10 years... but I can no longer come back to you. Or even recommend you any more..

Always good if your hungry and need a quick bite. The food has always been very nice and everything you want from a chippy. The service is alway good.

Best chips in mk, lots of great choices so there's definitely something for everyone. Prices are average and you get your money's worth.

Fish was inedible looked like it had been reheated several times. Delivery took over an hour.

I purchased 10 meals for my mum's 80th birthday celebration. Moores were fantastic ... mum's meal box had a ribbon and there was even a birthday card. The food was hot, delicious and as per my order. I'm looking forward to my next meal at Moores! Thank you

Nice place to go into. Sometimes they make a mistake but it is ok since it's resolved! Good parking around the shop both in front and on the left. Good portion sizes! Staff are nice

£7 for couple scraps of donner meat. Took nearly 15mins to get the food. Staff very blunt. Absolutely outrageous. WILL NOT RETURN

Chips are the best in mk. They have a great taste not dry or hard. They have a great menu to choose from. The new menu got box meals. Like 4 sausages of your choice with chips great value for money enough to share with 2 people..and they to min fish and chips worth the money has the food is good. Burgers are amazing and they are filling has they are thick burgers not your thin meat. The service is quick and the atmosphere is excellent the staff always friendly and welcoming you with a smile..staff on front counter Jo and sue and Angelain are always always friendly and a warm welcomed soon has you step into the shop. You can't ask for a better chip shop.

Awful food, chips hard and dry and not edible at all. Batter on fish not great either. Friendly staff but food a big let down.

Food disgusting. Chips were dry 90% had black hole bits on them or burnt bits from bottom of the barrell obviously using bad potatoes. Burger was cooked on the outside pink raw in the middle and smelt off, I will never be using again absolutely disgusting food almos a tenner for a manky burger 😢 never again

Sometimes the food can be on or off like it can be good then can be bad like Saturday I had some and it wasn't the best I threw most of mine and I am a big food person lol

Chips always seem to be stale or taste like they been put back into the oil to make out they are fresh hot chips, most other items I have had are OK but the chips are not good to constantly being stale

So I've just came back from getting my food at moores. Ordered a batter sausage and chips and donner meat and chips. Battered sausage was fine and the chips.......but I don't even know what to name the meat they gave me but it was solid and burnt to crisp and trying to pick it up with a fork it just disintegrated into tiny little bits. I don't know if you had a kid or someone very under-trained on donnermeat but ile most certainly won't be buying that ever ever again. Ladies who was serving even looked at the box before handing it over questioning why the sauce was put on the chips not the meat (if you can call it meat). Do not buy donner meat from there please believe me you'll thank me later. Posting photo of proof of purchase.

I have been using Moores at Newton Leys ever since they opened here but I don't know what is wrong lately ,last three times food is nowhere near as good as it used to be,much greasier and chips are just dry ,Cod itself was good but batter limp and greasy,something's changed ,such a shame with 3 times in succession think I may go elsewhere now ,quality definitely dropped

I ordered some fish and chips on the 26th March and I cancel them you sent me a email to say you would refund my money the amount was £18 but as yet I have not received it can you let me know ,I will wait for your reply thank-you

Great portion sizes and good value.

Ordered Fish bites meal x 2. You get 4 bits of fish in each. So in each meal only 2 of the bites had fish inside, 4 out of 8 were just batter. When this is so even across two meals its clear you're cutting corners to cut costs. Nobody fries fish and doesn't realise there is no fish inside! Never again

Fish was ok,chips as usual lately we're hard baked, must have been drying out for some considerable time.even after I she assured me fresh were cooking, and I still got the bottom of the barrel.8 pm , Thursday .Not sure I'd be going there again for my £ 20.

The chips were old and dry not a good example

We love ordering from Moores and the quality of the food is good. Hot, fresh chunky chips , lovely even batter that's crisp on the fish, sausages, scampi, fish cakes, mushy peas we have ordered different items and always been good. Usually order direct on their website and we pick up 25min later. Today decided to order and have delivery and we were missing a fish cake from the order. We didn't want the rest of the food to go cold while driving back to get replacement , was my sons fish cake, he was happy to split sausage and fish from mine and partners meal so all was good. Submitted for the refund of the missing fish cake, no hassle there. We all enjoyed our meals, plenty to go round, hot, fresh. Will still order from here but may stick to going and picking up rather than delivery so can check it at the counter.

Food was cold and missing items

Delicious chips, and arrived hot. My only issue was there is nowhere to request salt and vinegar to be added, but to be honest it wasn't a major problem as we were able to do this ourselves.

The only problem we had I put on the notes “ PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, NO CHEESE ON THE BURGER “ the receipt was then signed below that but the burger still arrived with cheese on it….wasn’t sure what else to do to explain no cheese.

Tasty! I ordered 1 Haddock and 1 Cod (with chips of course) to compare...we liked Cod a little better! Everything warm and well packaged.

Before i pop around the lake i pop into moores for the chips and a drink. Very tasty chips and im sure the fish is too. I suppose walking around the lake with a bag of chips and drink can be a a expensive thing too. £4.40. 😂

I’ve been to moores plenty of times with no problems but tonight we had it delivered. The chips were awful, they were really dry and tasted like they’d been sitting around since yesterday. We ordered at 6 so wasn’t expecting old chips. We couldn’t even eat them. Very disappointed

Fish overcooked, chips reasonable. Salt and vinegar means I want salt and vinegar on my meal. Lightest dusting of salt and the vinegar was un-detectable......I think they just showed my meal the vinegar bottle. Very disappointed.

Fish and chips are always good and I love the southern fried chicken but my last order the chicken was so raw, VERY PINK. The pieces of chicken are really big to be fair but they need to check the temperature inside to be safer.

Poetry in motion is how I will describe the service. Ordered large cod which I knew I would have to wait for. The person serving not only had large talons but nail varnish on each talon. I was told my order was ready and had to ask her to put the cod meal in a bag. Double checked with her that it was all there and she answered in the affirmative Got home sausage missing and the large cod thst I had cooked was cold as I only live 5 mins away it shows how long it took to wrap my meal

Gourmet burger is amazing. Its everything you thought a big mac might be and it isn't.

Usually order from here and have no problems. Tonight wasn’t great. Online order for £40. Picked up perfectly with no complaints. Get home to my family and open the bag. Dish out the orders to find my large Cod was missing. After already feeling annoyed that I had to drive back, I get back there to be greeted with some really poor customer service, despite the error being totally with them. I was then given 4 pieces of cod. Yet I only asked for the 1 large that was missing. I asked for my money back due to the inconvenience and was told no. Really disappointed with the poor service and will definitely not be going back.

Honestly they do the best southern fried chicken here, every time I visit this place I order the chicken, big pieces of chicken too! Would recommend it 100%

The chicken nuggets are to die for.

Waited 45 minutes, unfortunately not worth the wait. Staff seemed very unorganised and the chips were very, well lacking colour and taste sadly.

Mini cod special is £6.95 and is the perfect size (not too many chips). You get chips, cod, and a side of choice. Plenty of parking spaces available, eat outside facility available. One lady in there needs to fix up her customer service skills though.

Very disappointed in the service and especially the Managers attitude. Placed a order at 6h15 waited and waited and waited. Just to found out my order is not even processed. When I asked about the status I just got a rude comment that it is progress. Requested a refund had to ask not one but a few times for the manager to attend. He had no interest at all to hear why we were not happy waiting over an hour. Just gave us a look at mumbled. Eventually refunded the money. Very rude. The staff had no idea what to do. We supported the shop over many months always getting our orders wrong. Overlooked it but this was definitely the last straw. They won’t get my support anymore. Wanted to support local but rather drive to a service that is happy to see a customer.

Regular customer here every month and food is always delicious. Good sized portions and cooked very well.

Currently waiting just gone 40 mins for a portion of chips and 2 battered sausages. Everytime we come here we are waiting and waiting. Regardless if we pre order online. Makes no difference. Food is good but chips portions are small. We won't be coming back this time due to waiting so long every time we come here.

Placed an order via uber eats. Food we received was very nice however we had a portion of chips missing. I tried phoning and no answer, not impressed. The point of ordering for delivery is for convenience, but checks need to be done to ensure what has been ordered is delivered. And it's not the first time this has happened.

Just spent £20 in this chippie and what a waste! £4.20 for a chicken ranch burger which had just a chicken burger and rotten lettuce in! The girl even asked me if I wanted everything in the burger, to which I said yes. Hardly any food ready and hot, so long queuing times. I wouldn't go here again, absolute waste!!

Made the mistake of visiting here on a Friday - it was busy and a complete shambles. There was a queue outside so I joined it. After about 10 minutes, it transpired that some people queueing ahead of me had placed orders and were waiting to collect. Others hadn't ordered yet. About 5 staff were just constantly getting food wrapped and ready to go. No-one was taking orders. When I finally DID manage to get my order in, I was told that chicken pieces would be a further 15 minutes wait - it would have been a lot less if it had been been clear from the outset how and where to place an order. A few signs would be helpful at busy times. Finally, I ordered small chips and got a bucketload which I couldn't possibly finish. Does nowhere do actual small portions of chips any more? It's like they hear you and then just ignore you.I find that the food is good.Just don't go on Friday evenings until they can sort out a clearer system for ordering / waiting.
